Haven't posted it a while, huh? Don't know if anyone noticed my absence, I'm more active on other platforms, but I've gotten the most intense hyperfixation I had in years. Literally a few days ago I couldn't function aside from running around and rotating thoughts about it in my head. So drawing went out of the window.

Here is the actual reason. Trigun. I watched both animes and am currently finishing manga (no spoilers, I beg you!) and wow. It was life-changing for a lot of reasons. I'm so incredibly glad that I got into it.

I'm deeply in love with all three versions of the story, but since I went from TriStamp to Trigun 98 (to Badlands Rumble) to TriMax, my first proper fanart is for TriStamp. I was also drawing flufftober (prompts by @ tomseus on X) when mad love for Trigun took my ability to draw away, so I decided to return to it as soon as the strongest wave of hyperfixation passed. So here it is.

The prompt was "it's freezing here", and I decided to draw the sillies snuggling for warmth in cold desert night. Roberto is also here somewhere, by the way, he's just on the watch, making sure no trouble takes them by surprise.

This picture is honouring the fact that I got my hands on Revised edition Iteration X book and the way their relationship with Syndicate was described is hilarious to me. Check this out:

I adore how in-universe when ppl talk about Syndicate they sound like a gun is held to their heads 🤡

Oh, a bit more of explaining the picture.

Two people on the upper part are ItXers. In the lower part we have some proper Syndicate buddie. Behind him are a Syndicate Enforcer and a MiB (without his suit, a pity).

You might say: "Okay, Enforcer is maybe playing a bodyguard or smth for the higher-ranking Syndicate member, but what is N.W.O. agent doing here?". Well, here's the thing. Both him and the Enforcer actually share and amalgam with girl in upper right corner. So even if they aren't related to Iteration X needing Syndicate's money, they are still quietly mourning the fact that they probably aren't getting any financing ever again just by association with this mess.

Acheron and Aventurine are my favourite characters from hsr (as is Sunday actually), and I figured it out after this dialogue.

Actually I started the game because there were voicelines from this dialogue in Aventurine playlist I've randomly clicked for some background music. And I loved his specific flavour of existential crisis so much that I decided I need to know context.

About two weeks later here I am. Very normal about hsr. Pacing in my room like a caged animal. Very normal. Yeah.

Today I bring you a self-indulgent "Mage: the Ascension" shitpost 😌

Rezul is a former NWO agent who has changed sides and is now with the Cult of Ecstasy. He tries to hide his past from his new allies. Keyword is "tries", because he was born in a family of two technocrats, he had been brainwashed from birth, and he does a very poor job at pretending to be normal person. Even by mages' standards. Even out of life-threatening situations like the one I've depicted on the picture, he's weird. Like, "clearly was a part of totalitarian organisation once" weird.

Most of other ecstatics he's familiar with have figured him out by now, but they don't say anything, because it's funnier when he slips, realises it, checks for reaction, doesn't get any and is immensely relieved (all technocrat-style, without really emoting with his face). Like dude, you're not fooling anyone, sorry. But if this is so important to you, we'll play along.

I love Celestial chorus. Here are my choristers with very different vibes and ways of living by their religion. That's it. Moving on.

I got tired of colouring 😔

Bullying technocrats yay. Personal headcanon of mine: if NWO bases it's dark humour on 1984, then ItX should do so on "I have no mouth and I must scream", and Void Engineers should do so on Warhammer 40k. At least my VE, Supernova, does answer his colleagues' complaints about their lives with "well, at least we're not in Wh40k" from time to time.

(And yeah, they are in Commorragh and there's a drukhari with glasses in the background. Don't worry, they'll get out of there very soon once Supernova makes some semblance of peace with the fact that Wh40k is real somewhere. Noone is really getting hurt. Except for Rob's (technocrat in the background) dignity, I guess.)

Quartz Crumbs of Wyrm's Teeth and First Among the Chickadees

Quartz and Chickadee, an Abyssal and a Lunar, fight about whether or not the world is worth saving almost every time they meet. Almost every time.

Quartz Crumbs of Wyrm's Teeth (he/him) is my Dusk Abyssal in servitude to a Deathlord. You may have seen him on my blog before. He's pretty much with the bad guys and is one of those himself.

First Among the Chickadees (she/her) is my Changing Moon Lunar. She is traveling with some Dragon-Blooded (loooooong story) trying to prevent Deathlords from another attempt to take over Creation. She is also tied to Quartz via the Solar-Lunar bond.

Their bond, as usual, means they have difficulty ignoring eachother; however their view on life is completely opposite. Usually this means that every time they meet a shouting contest begins, which looks roughly like this:

Quartz: you don't get it, the world is rotten and nothing but suffering is left!

Chickadee: no, YOU don't get it! That's how YOU perceive the world, but there's more to it than suffering! What about simple life pleasures? What about lying in grass? What about talking to friends? You're the one who is taking your own joy away!

And so on and so fourth. These two can go on and on. It's kinda funny, actually. While their companions seriously fight eachother with, y'know, weapons (while also exchanging pleasantries and having small-talk about the weather, because that's their way of doing things), these two are just standing there and arguing.

But as you may see, this time it was not a case. Something really messed up should have happened for Chickadee to accept consolation from her enemy – at least, that's what Quartz is worried about.

My Hunter the Reckoning guy. Imbued of Judge Creed. He was actually among my first WoD OCs, so his lore is pretty silly in places, and not in "WoD is incredibly silly by itself"-way, but rather in "I wasn't aware of all the lore and was just creating whatever I wanted to without any canon or common sense stopping me"-way.

That's why this guy shares a flat with: a Tzimisce fledgling with high Humanity from VtM, an Ananasi (a werespider from WtA) and a Qualmi (werelynx from WtA). Is that an absolutely insane collection of neighbours? Probably. Do I want to change anything? Nah, these characters are my "I'm cringe but I'm free" zone 😌

Anyways, this Imbued really likes his Tzimisce roommate (insert obligatory joke about roommates here), and the feelings are mutual, so I started to forget that he actually y'know, destroys vampires. Not just cutely talks to one of them at night (when else, really?) and even shares his blood with both Tzimisce and Ananasi when their hunts go really badly. (And gets saved by them and Qualmi too when his hunts go to hell-)

So I drew this edgy picture to remind myself about how dangerous this dude can be while working. Not as dangerous as an experienced vampire, but still.

I continue my exaltedposting. Here is Hope for a Universal Summer, my Zenith Solar lady. She's from Whitewall, so I tried to include both asian and slavic elements in her design.

And something like Modern AU! Quartz, my Dusk Abyssal OC, whom you might've seen in my last, like, three posts. Only I have troubles designing modern characters in interesting ways, but oh well. I still like this pic :]

Hel and Baldr vibing in Helheim subway. Because surely Helheim has subways.

These is my take on these two for "Scion: becoming as gods" ttrpg. It's a really cool game about being a child of a deity (from literally any pantheon, not just greek or roman like in pjo, for example). So of course there are deities and some mythical beings. And of course I have to make an attempt at designing my faves from those.

I find it really interesting and tragic how Hel and Baldr parallel eachother. Both kinda did nothing wrong except being Loki's daughter and Odin's son. Both ended up in the afterlife for this. They're children of sworn enemies stuck here because of their parents. I feel like there is some sort of weird understanding in spite of their fathers animosity towards eachother. Or, more accurately, because of it. Yeah, I headcanon that Hel and Baldr became friends really quickly upon meeting.

Honestly their duet of life and death, warmth and cold, growth and decay is so underrated. I get that most mythology fans get that from Hades and Persephone, but these two are so slept on :'D

I've lost control of my Mage the Ascension OCs and now they're looking at each other weirdly, I wonder what's going on 👁️👁️

These are Melanie, my Ecstatic, and Irwin, my NWO-turned-Ecstatic, in some hypothetical future where they get therapy. More lore™ under the cut.

Melanie's life was messed by Technocracy pretty badly, which lead her to survivor's guilt, depressive episode and desire to isolate from other mages and this whole Ascension War. She has a strong aura of mourning around her even when she smiles (which means most of the time), but her helping nature and kind spirit persisted. Even if she really hates Technocracy now.

That's why when Irwin, a former NWO agent who has switched sides in favour of Cult of Ecstasy, was looking for a place to stay while on the run from former colleagues, Melanie took him in. She doesn't give enough damns about her life to be scared of attracting Technocratic attention and she's curious about this weird redemption arc Irwin has going on. She also may have some less benevolent reasons to help, like entertaining her ego with some resemblance of power over someone who was one of her enemies, but she will never admit that.

At first they had troubles living together. Irwin is naturally blunt and rude and doesn't quite notice and process his feelings and sensations, from emotions to hunger. And Melanie has too much hidden resentment towards Technocracy and doesn't tolerate Irwin's mean remarks too well, but also she hates seeing how little he cares for himself. And also they have Technocracy after them.

Time slowly makes them better at communicating with eachother, though. Irwin tones down his defensive rudeness and starts considering feelings of people, himself including, Melanie lowers her mental walls and finally acknowledges her grief and then starts a difficult path of moving on. Basically, they finally start processing all they had to. Yay.

Whether or not they'll be able to shake Technocracy off will be determined in upcoming oneshot, but if they do, I feel like they have a pretty good chance of a happy future together. They quite like talking to eachother even while their relationship is rough at edges, and I think it only gets better after the turbulent period of active self growth is finished. So yeah. I believe in them. Have a picture 😌

So. Uhm. Remember MtAs one-shot I've storytelled months ago?

There was an NWO agent who was really close to becoming one of Technephandi.

Well, my players managed to redeem him. And get him away from Technocracy for a while. So he has spent some time with Cult of Ecstacy of all people. And now he's one of them.

He's currently on a run from both Technocracy and Traditions, because the former is obviously not glad about the betrayal and potential information leak and the latter would like to "ask him a few questions" since not every day MiB turns Ecstatic, they need to make sure he's not a double agent and also get some information about Technocracy from him. And he doesn't want to give any information to anyone, he wants to be left alone. Oh, and also Technephandi are curious about where has he disappeared to as well, but they haven't caught up on the latest events or his traces. Yet.

For now he stays with one of Ecstatic loners and desperately searches for a way to blackmail each and every organisation looking for him in a way which will allow him to have some peace. Good luck for him, I guess. I mean, he has a chance since I, the Storyteller, am rooting for him. I blame my players for making me really invested in life on an NPC who was meant to die at the end of the one-shot. What a bunch of people 🙄 /affectionate

So yeah. Have a weird conceptual piece about personal growth and putting yourself in danger for it. From NWO agent to almost Technephandi to Ecstatic. What an insane character arc.

Quartz (my Dusk Abyssal OC) gets a watermelon because I like him. My silly evil son. Not a single thought behind those beautiful eyes...

(Quartz has actually bought the watermelon. With actual money. Terrifying everyone in the local village by appearing there and peacefully making the purchase. I mean, more like throwing money at some poor farmer who was ready to give Quartz anything for free in exchange for mercy for themselves and their family, but still. Quartz didn't want the unfortunate person or their family, he wanted a watermelon and decided to be somewhat nice about it. And afterwards Quartz just left without really harming anyone but still refusing to elaborate.)

(The money he gave to the farmer was probably thrown out the second Quartz left, and the farmer is probably now getting a lot of side-eye glances (at best), but oh well. It's their problems, not Quartz's.)

My Dusk Caste Abyssal from Exalted ttrpg

His title is Quartz Crumbs of Wyrm's Teeth. Or Quartz for short. Or, if you're a meanie and a hater, Crumbs. Fun fact: "crumb" in my native language is also a slang for "babygirl". Do what you will with this information 😌

Quartz is that one anime character type who is just idiotic (/affectionate) and aggressive while also being a loser. It's not that he's a huge danger (to other Exalted, normal mortals have my condolences). It's just that his default settings are loud and screaming threats which he may or may not execute afterwards.

Honestly, he was an idiotic and loud creature when he was Solar as well, so personality-wise little changed after his Abyssal Exaltation. He didn't actually want to take the whole Abyssal deal, but Deathlord who laid his eyes on Quartz managed to, well, convince him. It wasn't a pleasurable process, but it happened. Now Quartz dutifully (yeah, very, he's the most dutiful servant to have (no)) serves his Deathlord, while quietly pondering whether he should try to get his freedom back or if the risk is not worth it.

Expect more pictures with this bastard sometime soon, he has my brain in a chokehold
