*vibrating in place* i love media analysis i love to think about storytelling conventions, the means by which stories are told, the impressions given by sharing information a certain way and the reasons to share it in that way, the authorâs intent and the way they did or did not communicate it and the reasons they either succeeded or failed,

WARNING: transphobia
sorry to intellectualize in your inbox and feel free to like... delete this if it's too heavy or not your thing! but i've been having a lot of ideas about transness in fandom (i'm trans myself btw jsyk where this is coming from) and the whole like... cas-giving-dean-a-male-body thing and today's Discourse wrt that ask lampgate received about "looking trans"
like basically butler says that there's this Thing we all create that's basically an idealized male/female body that doesn't exist. like by labeling bodies as normal/abnormal for whatever reason we create sex, we create normative bodies. we are constantly referencing a non-existent ideal male/female body. claiming that all cis women and all cis men have the same bodies is stupid because they don't. everyone has slightly different hormones and slightly different expressions and that's not even to speak of intersex people who complicate the idea of Normative Bodies even further.
so then oftentimes when i look at transness (more specifically transmasculininity) in fandom - and i mean this in literally the nicest way possible - this tends to get represented a certain way. mostly it's represented in drawings/fics as people who've either had top surgery and have scars underneath their pectorals or people who wear binders, and most of the time they have not had bottom surgery. and while it is important to stress that YES people who look like this do exist and it's good that they are being represented it in no way is the Only or even Most Common transmasculine body. there is no way to "look trans" because there is no kind of Idealized Trans Body in the way that there is an Idealized Cis Body that is referenced. but i worry that in fandom we are creating this sort of Idealized Transmasculine Body by constantly referencing the same type of body that i previously described, which transphobes then weaponize as characters "obviously not looking trans." bc ya know in order to make that statement there must first be a Body That Is Trans.
and then cas bringing dean back in a male body sort of crystallizes this because it both upholds the idea of there being A Trans Body as well as there being A Cis Body. if we theorize about there somehow being a switch between those then there must be some sort of larger concept that we are referencing. it's buying into the non-existent concept of idealized sex, of normative bodies.
(for the record i feel the same way when it comes to temporary gender/sex swap fics. also this doesn't come from a place of "this is bad and Should Never Happen Ever" but more... what are the subconscious philosophical consequences and implications of the decisions we make)
OH addendum to that last ask bc i realize i might've come off wrong: that is not to say that trans people creating content for themselves and others to enjoy are responsible for the existence of transphobia. again i'm trans myself and i LOVE all trans content and i would love to see more of it. i'm just saying that the issue is like... complicated and intertwined and we are unfortunately all still trapped within a system that most people accept as being Right even though we have definitive proof that it isn't
glad for that addendum because that was literally the first thing i was gonna say lol. you canât pander to transphobes, theyâll always take issue no matter what you do so you might as well just do your thing, yk?
but yea i was a sociology major so this is absolutely my type of thing. basically i agree with you. but i think there is a societal Ideal Type of transness and itâs still very much the âbinary trans person who wants to be and look cis and transitions all at once and then passes perfectly and never brings up transness againâ which. barf, thereâs not enough time to unpack all of that. but at the same time the Ideal Type of transness boils down to: there shouldnât be one bc it shouldnât exist. which again, barf. as far as inside the trans community... idk i feel like on average, non trans/med etc. trans ppl are very aware and appreciative of the diversity of transness and the beauty inherent in that? but maybe thatâs just my experience. if anything, i feel more worried about intracommunity ideals of transness being warped by whiteness and thinness, if that makes sense. also i think again always good to remember that what any given person posts in fan space will pretty much never be indicative of the full scope of their thoughts and opinions on the subject. but yea also there are ppl where fan spaces are there only queer spaces for example and then what happens if youâre seeing this same image over and over again but itâs not your reflection at all.
i think really what it comes down to with the elements youâre pointing out is that they are just whatâs familiar to us? like. 1) as a bunch of twenty-somethings, binders and top surgery, maybe T is about all that most of us have been able to do if anything (at least thatâs my impression. OR that may be all weâre interested in, etc. thereâs always variation in prefs of course), 2) top scars are just such insanely good visual shorthand, and 3) fanart/fic is always in some way aspirational so as someone who hasnât gotten to get top yet, i for one like thinking about a dean who got to do that already :)
and yea again any fic/post/etc that has cas changing deanâs body without asking/being asked.... itâs a no from me. bad on the consent side, bad on the conceptions of bodies and gender delineations side, bad on the ârightâ and âwrongâ bodies side, so many things abt it that make me :/. also like even if you have dean brought back in laz rising with a flat chest sans scars, and a whole new set of reproductive organs.... like thatâs still a trans manâs body? both literally and rhetorically speaking that still wouldnât be a Cis Body (assuming you could even define in any meaningful way what it means to have a Cis Body, given the amount of variation in bodies AND the fact that literally every single person is failing the normative bc itâs by nature shifting an unattainable)? but also again, iâm gonna insist that âmale bodyâ as synonym for âcis manâs bodyâ sucks bigtime.
#tw transphobia#asks#i had more thoughts but these are the only ones i could get to be coherent#long post#im assuming this will be long on the dash that is. esp on mobile#anonymous

Is Reality a Simulation?
Okay, so I want to preface this post with: I am a computer scientist. Iâm not a physicist. I want to talk about how and why the theory of reality being a simulation is ridiculous.Â
Main points you can read in the jump below (this will be long):
The people who argue reality is a simulation arenât computer scientists (we have proof that reality isnât a simulation... yes, really)
We are reaching a plateau in digital technological advancementÂ
The technology needed to simulate the universe would require more matter than the universe holds
You are reading this post which is eliciting thoughts and feelings
Finally, I talk about the proof we have reality isnât a simulation
Below the cut, Iâll go into detail.
The people who argue reality is a simulation arenât computer scientistsÂ
I strongly believe that outsiders to a field can bring new insight. In this case, I think it comes from a lack of understanding of how computers âthinkâ (your computer is âthinkingâ right now).Â
And yes, Iâm choosing to focus on the philosophical explanation rather than the proofs reality isnât a simulation because you wonât internalize the math required. But you will be able to see logical steps in reasoning with some light explanation. So, moving on...
When computer scientists and software engineers talk about computers âthinkingâ, we mean very specific things. Your computer has to prioritize tasks in a way that makes it feel seamless to you, the user. Itâs making decisions. Itâs thinking.
When other people talk about how computers âthinkâ, they mean something more like how we think. Where decisions are a product of environment, past experience, personality and intention.Â
The problem we have with true AI is that we humans always give computers an intention and focus. When you are telling someone to do something they canât refuse, itâs not free will when they do it.
Weâve reached a plateau in digital advancement
Have you noticed the trend of phones getting larger instead of smaller? This is because weâve reached the limits of the law that says technology will get faster and smaller every year. That law is called Mooreâs Law. What people fail to realize is Mooreâs Law is not a straight line. Itâs a logarithmic curve that eventually plateaus and ceases to get larger.Â
We fell below the pace predicted by Mooreâs law in 2010. We slowed even further in 2015.Â
That makes sense though, right? I mean... At some point you get down to electrons and the things that make up electrons and then how are you supposed to get smaller? I mean, we are experimenting with using the density of electrons to designate 0 and 1 binary in computers.Â
This is what Gordon Moore (the âMooreâ in âMooreâs Lawâ) said in 2005:
In terms of size [of transistors] you can see that we're approaching the size of atoms which is a fundamental barrier, but it'll be two or three generations before we get that farâbut that's as far out as we've ever been able to see. We have another 10 to 20 years before we reach a fundamental limit. By then they'll be able to make bigger chips and have transistor budgets in the billions.
Just as he predicted, in 2015 transistors slowed to a crawl. The amount of technology we can pack into your phone is probably as good as it gets until we ditch computers altogether.
The technology needed to simulate the universe would require more matter than the universe holds
Iâm not really gonna explain this one. I kind of did it above.
This section is just for the nerds. This will not make sense to people who arenât nerds. You can skip it.
Perfect time to say that quantum computing will be a thing in the future probably. But even that would likely have to be simulated because the only way to get real quantum computer is to have the computers be kept at near 0 Kelvin which reaching 0 Kelvin is considered at this time to be impossible. So we canât even perfectly do that until we do the impossible.Â
And if weâre simulating quantum bits by rapidly gating between 0 and 1, we still run into the issue of computers being fundamentally deterministic (i.e. unable to achieve True Random).Â
Iâm not even sure weâll be able to conceptualize quantum computers as âcomputersâ. Their use would obliterate our entire digital infrastructure and a userâs understanding of how to interface with one. We might be able to do simulations with it, but weâve found that quantum computers are actually pretty bad at doing things that our binary computers do pretty well. Like harnessing randomness from mother nature, weâd likely end up with a hybrid system where deterministic results are created by truly random quantum computers to be fed into a deterministic interface.Â
You are reading this post which is eliciting thoughts and feelings
Buried the lead on this one. This is what I really wanted to talk about. You are having thoughts about this post. Feelings.Â
Computers donât do that. They wonât do that.Â
Fun fact about when you let AI talk to another AI: They completely transcend human understanding. Just like you come up with shorthand references like âyeetâ that confuse boomers. AI will ultimately begin to develop language like that Dueling Carls video.
youtube
(Please god turn down your video before watching)
Itâs almost hilarious how well this video demonstrates exactly what computers do. They start at the level of human understanding and then faster than you can blink, they ascend beyond what we could ever hope to conceptualize. The things about Facebookâs chatbots arenât true of course, but they held a seed of truth.
AI will exist on another level.Â
This is because computers (like humans) are greedy. They use the fewest possible resources to reach the same goal. If you programmed a computer to simulate the universe, then it would try to take shortcuts where it could.Â
The fact that some people can think visually (seeing âpicturesâ in their mind) and others canât really demonstrates that humans arenât simulated. Or even further, did you know that humans really do have a 6th sense? Itâs your ability to know where your body is when you canât see it. Called propioception.Â
We know it exists because people can be born without it. When they close their eyes they physically can no longer use their limbs. Itâs genetic.Â
Why would a computer account for these things? Itâs made it harder to simulate a gene for propioception. Well, maybe the humans who programmed it, told it to account for that.Â
Then why are you having thoughts about this post? Why read it at all? Itâs going to get what... 5 notes? Why account for you at all. It can have you do things without that âinner voiceâ thatâs reading these words. It doesnât have to give you intention behind your actions. So then humans made it give you intention.Â
Humans telling a computer to create humanity. And having to account for every single little thing. Telling it not to ignore the nuances of all human existence.Â
Why would we do that unless we wanted to simulate our entire human history?Â
How would we simulate all of our history if we didnât know everything that everyone ever thought or felt?Â
If you are a simulation, then you are memory of someone who is real.Â
Finally, I talk about the proof we have reality isnât a simulation
If you skipped to here, youâre going to be really disappointed. The math is complicated. You can read it here.Â
Hereâs a summary of their findings.Â
In summary, we suggested that nontrivial gravitational/geometrical responses can be identified with obstructions to sign-free local QMC simulations. First, we pointed out that geometrical perturbations are unique in this context because they can always be added to a classical partition function without introducing complex phases or signs. Then, we established that having a global gravitational anomaly on an edge of a gapped system, as is the case for most fractional quantum Hall phases, implies a sign problem. The same argument extends to frustrated quantum magnets that support a chiral spin liquid phase, although here, some additional microscopic assumptions are currently required. Last, we pointed out that sign problems in critical 2D oriented loop models are also associated with a coupling of charge to curvature. Curiously, tensor networkâbased numerical approaches, for which the sign problem is irrelevant by construction, also struggle with simulating FQHE states (in the thermodynamic limit). This raises an intriguing connection between gravity and computational complexity via sign problems.
The point is that storing a single matrix of 20 spins of a quantum particle requires a terabyte of data. Weâd run out of universe before we made even a small simulation.Â

On Spiritual Shorthand as A Claircognizant Trigger
If you take a look at the sample channeled reading Iâve posted earlier on this blog, you may notice that some of the ârawâ text that comes through seems slightly grammatically jumbled, and hard to understand. This element of my channeling method has unfolded itself spontaneously over the past few months. I find it quite fascinating, since although it was never a method my guides and I mutually agreed upon, it operates similarly to the system of symbols clairvoyant evidential mediums often develop as a kind of spiritual sign language to communicate with the Spirit. Today, Iâd like to dive into the system of coded, linguistic shorthand communication my guides employ, how it works to expand the information transmitted in the reading beyond the channeled words themselves, and how this fits in with the general mechanics of psychic reading.
First, letâs talk a bit about the psychic reading process. The universal currency of both psychic and mediumistic communication - as well as of life itself - is energy, in the metaphysical sense. This is the raw stuff of emotions, imprinted memories, physical information, thought-patterns, sensibilities, etc., that we carry around with us, mostly in an intangible or subtle state. Spiritual entities also carry this subtle information in energetic form. The job of a psychic or medium is to engage with that energy, and use their nervous system - which has usually been sensitized and trained to do the job through meditation and practice - to decode and translate the information into tangible form. This results in the experience of what we might call the sixth sense, or the phenomenon of intuitive knowing. In theory, everyone has the potential ability to do this, and most of us do so, subconsciously, every single day, to varying degrees. How specific we can become in our ability to intuit information is a question of learning to pay attention to the subtle impressions we receive, and to understand them. However, whether we are intuiting information directly from peopleâs personal energy fields in a psychic reading, or receiving energetic impressions from Spirit in mediumistic communication, there is always a synesthetic process of translating subtle impressions into tangible information.
Every psychically sensitive person will have different tendencies in how their personal nervous system interprets energy. (Different forms of this ability can also be honed with practice.) The acuteness of peopleâs physical senses, and their aesthetic bents, will often be a good indication of which forms of âclear sensingâ will come to them most naturally. A musical person might be more prone to being clairaudient than clairvoyant. A visually oriented person might more easily open up clairvoyantly than empathically or clairsentiently. However, the more seamlessly a psychic can get all of the clair-senses to work together synergistically, the more easily the transmission of energetic information will flow.Â
The curious thing is, sometimes, in the mediumistic process, Spirit will use one clair-sense to energetically relay additional information that would normally come through a different one. Many clairvoyant mediums develop a system of visual symbols to convey larger concepts, or even auditory information such as names. (A medium might, for instance, see their grandmother Ada every time a spirit by that name comes through, or see a red cross every time a spirit was employed in the medical field in their previous life.) But this can also work in unexpected ways. For example, once, during a psychic reading, I heard the word âmud,â and shortly thereafter, when visualizing the readeeâs home, saw a childrenâs slide in the backyard, accompanied by the phrase âhistory of trauma.â It turned out she had lost her home in a literal mudslide, and this traumatic event was being conveyed not only clairaudiently, but through a kind of visual pun.
Visual symbol systems are probably the most common way of receiving clairvoyant information in mediumistic readings. In my case, clairaudience has become more dominant, and is how much of my channeled information comes through. In addition to the technique of clairaudient dictation, my guides also have a system of written shorthand. Instead of a âsymbol bank,â I have a word bank! This shorthand operates through a kind of idiosyncratic logic, which means that I often reverse-engineer my guidesâ longer messages from the âCliff notesâ version of the full channeling. But there is more to the words than meets the eye.
Somewhat counterintuitively, there can be an actual advantage to this shorthand system compared to long-form clairaudient channeling. Mediumistic communication can require quite a lot of energetic effort on both ends of the conversation. The medium has to raise their vibration as high as possible to reach toward the frequency of Spirit, and Spirit has to âwind downâ theirs to bring themselves closer to the density of the physical plane. Itâs not always comfortable or easy for either party. So, the more efficiently the communication can take place, the more information can be relayed in a single session. What I have discovered is that the system of shorthand not only serves to convey more long-winded verbal messages, but also relays information clairsentiently, empathically, and claircognizantly. The reason this works, I think, is because my guides are intimately familiar with my energy, my history, my understanding of certain spiritual concepts, and the associations certain words will trigger in my mind.
How does it work, then? Well, for starters, every word has a certain raw emotion or momentum to it, and this is largely what determines the systemâs word correspondences. Emotion is one of the easiest energies to read. It is a universal human language, and spirit guides will take advantage of this. Adjectives will often be paired with the word âenergyâ to convey a more complicated concept than the surface meaning of the word implies. For instance, the word âjealous,â in the abstract, conveys a feeling of lack, a sense of âbleeding outâ emotionally, and also of vicarious experience. So, in spiritual shorthand, âjealous energyâ can mean that someone is either feeling a sense of lack, inadequacy, or experiencing something vicariously through another rather than honoring their own individuality. âHard energy,â on the other hand, can mean any kind of emotional harshness, quarrel, denial, or personal struggle. Similarly, the word âblessâ can mean not only literal blessing, but also appreciation, acceptance, or one thing benefitting another, often in the future. (For example: âYour individual joy blesses the joy of marriage.â) Sometimes the grammatical order of a sentence will be reversed, Yoda-like, for emphasis. The correct nuance of the full message will be reached intuitively when the shorthand is translated into longhand.
The choice of words in shorthand messages can also help to convey more sophisticated, hidden meanings in them. One of the correspondences that always elicits a chuckle from me in the hardest of times is the habit my guides have of referring to excruciatingly difficult life lessons as âgifts.â The repeated message is clear: Your challenges are always a potential path to greater understanding. Another recent gem was my guidesâ phrasing when encouraging a readee to avoid falling into anxiety: âDonât get excited without smiling.â Hence, the implication: There can be good excitement, and bad excitement. The physiological difference between anxiety and enthusiasm is happiness.
The most recent, and perhaps interesting, development in this system of communication has been the emergence of claircognizant communication triggered through the language itself. As the words are received, impressions also begin to form that go beyond the scope of their literal meaning. I will notice myself feeling emotions associated with the situations under discussion, as well as suddenly having a sense of  simply âknowingâ something about them. Increasingly minimally worded snippets are enough to relay sophisticated information. For instance, in one channeling: âAll care next: daughter. Decide who is sick: Them both.â triggered the realization that the daughter of the person under discussion had recently been hospitalized with a specific mental illness. (This was confirmed to be true.) In yet another instance, even though it didnât seem especially necessary, âPlease hear from wonderful rest.â was instinctively reworded into âPlease allow yourself sweet, sweet rest.â in the longhand reading report. It turned out that the readee had had the phrase âsweet, sweet restâ stuck in her head for weeks, and the translation process had provided this as a form of validation or evidence to support the readingâs legitimacy.
Iâm still learning the ins and outs of this system. It is an evolving technique, and my guides seem to find new ways to implement it as times goes on. Every reading teaches me something new about the nuances that can emerge through this form of communication. Every mistake I make teaches me more about how to do this job better, too! Psychic development is a marvelous exploration of consciousness, reality, and how much there is to learn about it all.
Have you noticed specific systems through which your own guides communicate information? Have they evolved over time? If you havenât thought about it before, try tuning into how your intuitive knowing interprets energy, and see if you can pick up on certain patterns that allow you to access information in new ways!

â Aniel dâElaine has been accepted!
Welcome to Dahlthir, Yan! Your application for Aniel dâElaine has been approved. Youâll have 5 days to turn in your blog to the masterlist. If you need more time, you can send us a message!
The character portion of the application can be found under the cut. I love how youâve made the Homunculus and how there are different classes for them! Having them as meat shields makes sense but is also so heartbreaking. Hearing about all the other Homunculi that were never repaired was just so sad and seeing how they dealt with Elaineâs death. Iâm happy Aniel eventually left and found a purpose for themselves! I wish them all the happiness, really.Â
P.S Mathemagic sounds very cool and also very complicated
Faceclaim & Series: using Original art
Character: Aniel d'Elaine; LEVEL 3
They/Them - Artificial Being/ Homunculus
Housing: A traveling wheel wagon that doubles as a living quarters and a storefront their Bookshop.
[See Extra for Store Info]
Age: 169 years old
Appearance: An androgynous face with an hourglass figure standing at 5â 10", even taller with heels.
Created with a set aesthetic in mind, Aniel could be considered a conventional beauty; sometimes even a  forgettable face. Though, their face almost always has a soft smile to accompany the spread of freckles and pale blue eyes. Long silvery white hair obscures some of their face and is usually set low over the shoulder in a ponytail  hanging to the left side of the viewer. They have delicate hands adorned with metallic rings, literally made for handling books and domestic activities.
The style of their attire is comfort , carefully made as most of their clothes are personally made by hand. An everyday outfit also doubles as a workday outfit. It usually consists of a long sleeved shirt, heels, and high-waisted pants. Flashier outfits are a personal treat for themselves. There is always a pentagram symbol spotted on their outfit. By the public eye, theyâre commonly mistaken as a very pale eccentric Human. Most of the differences between homunculi and humans are very private and internal. [-] Naive, Socially Awkward, Bleeding Heart, Obsessive [with their books/magic]
Background:
Aniel d'Elaine is a Servant class homunculus created by the great alchemist Elaine of Snow who lived isolated in the coldness of the North. As a Servant class they were meant to serve their creator through domestic means which meant cooking, cleaning, etc. Aniel was a specific model that not only did the primary functions of an average Servant but also had the auxiliary position of book keeping. Their master was a lover of books and collected (hoarded) many volumes of knowledge and assorted literature. Through the many years of their life, Aniel had served their creator as faithfully as possible. And in return Anielâs master imparted kindness, understanding, and purpose.  For Aniel, they were gifted with a similar love of books. Not only that, but their creator taught the Servants a special sort of magic unique to the build of a homunculus.
Later on in their lives, Aniel and the other Servants had also been in combat for the sake of their creator. While the great alchemist traveled and adventured to lands beyond the North, those of the chosen homunculi were made useful. Despite the weakness in strength, Aniel was built to be quite durable and withstood endless blows and many sacrifices. They were willing risked destruction for Elaine. For some, it was a temporary state until repairs, but for others, the broken remained as they were.
Eventually their creator Elaine passed away in the comfort of the Servants. Old age. When the period of servitude came to an end, the homunculi were in despair and grief. For Aniel, they didnât know what to do with the remainder of their life. While it was never set in stone whether or not a homunculus would be able to die and pass, Aniel wanted goodness in their life. Isnât that what Elaine would have wanted? From all those theories, lessons in magic, and the adventures? But venturing alone was a decision that shook Aniel. So they waited. and waited. And perhaps, they waited too long?
Most of the other homunculi had already left the homestead but Aniel felt rooted among the memories and books. Aniel would be one of the last to leave, but theyâve had enough of waiting for a new purpose. Itâs time to make their own purpose. And so a book shop appeared one day in the local village with a plethora of books and a smiling vendor.
LEVEL 3
General Powers/Abilities/Unusual Traits:
Through much diligence and patience, Aniel learned a niche subsection of Conjuration from their creator, Elaine of Snow. It could be even called, Mathemagical, as the necessary components to summon objects require formulae and complex matrices arranged with clear magical intention. Aniel uses Conjuration for lots of everyday tasks like pulling a book from their far off library source. They are also a non-combatant in every combat situation unless someone is in need of a durable meatshield to absorb all the blows.
There are more intricate bits to the summoning but this is the shorthand explanation.Aniel analyzes and marks an object on the plane of the objectâs existence and tugs on a vector that would lead the object into Anielâs possession. The reverse can also happen in which Aniel returns the object to it origin. Larger and more complex summons require more points of reference, at least enough for a triangulated coordinate or going up to 5 and greater to anchor the object. Although, adding more points will create generate more strain for Aniel as their magic struggles with the load out.
When practically applied, the objects look like theyâre being manipulated by telekinesis, but that is [Slow] version of the summoning. The [Fast] version looks like instant teleportation of the object. The transformation of this objectâs weight, height, mass, and other quantitative qualities have to be precisely accounted for so that itâs summoning is without any detriment to the original condition. Each summoning style has its pros and cons. Both styles require an origin point and physical touch by Aniel so that they may properly analyze the dimensions. Trying to eyeball things is against Anielâs policy since the end result almost always becomes deformed.
Aniel can only summon non-living and/ or inorganic that exist as physical objects. Living and organic things tend to warp and skew mid transformation. However, Aniel could learn more. Despite the death of their original mentor, Aniel could perfect it to include Living/organic materials. But the style developed by Elaine was specifically for homunculi as Elaine dabbled in the manipulation of synthetic organisms and various magical effects on them. Â
The body that Elaine designed for the homunculi had the idea of shields in mind. Anielâs body has average strength as best as the physical cap while their stamina levels seem to be more regulated at a more Human model. Itâs Anielâs incredible durability that makes homunculi perfect decoys and assistants in experiments. But each body does reach a breaking point which can be repaired. Although as said before, homunculi run the risk of remaining broken forever, unable to truly die.
There seems to a self-sustained component while the rest of the system still requires fuel to run on.
Specifics:
[Homunculus Body]: Weak Strength. Average Stamina. Incredible Durability. Requires car crash equivalent of force. Still can be cut as tough flesh. Missing some vital organs or organ systems have been compiled to more efficient means of distributing energy. Can only be repaired through alchemy. Conventional healings have inert effects. No reproductive organs. Still requires biological fuel. Strong magical core for a heart. Â Cannot die?? Concept of soul?? Neither fully alive or dead.
[Homunculus Mind]: Literal graphing calculator. Gotta Math!! Very good memory & spacial reasoning/ analysis. Still has capacity to feel pain & capacity for emotional development.
[Mark Origin Point]: Aniel touches an object with their magic which will eventually fade but fades slower if there are other reference points to anchor the object. Requires physical touch
[Slow Summon]: Requires calculating speed of object and forces around it. Can be handled more delicately than the quicker summoning. Telekinesis imitation. Uses Anielâs body as an origin point.
[Fast Summon]: Instant teleportation. Does not require speed input however object must be perfect in conception of dimensions. Irregularities will warp the object mid transformation. Distance is not an issue. Uses Anielâs body as an origin point.
[Complex Summon]: Takes a lot out of Aniel and needs lots of preparation. More Math. Can only do this Once on a good day and recovery time is the rest of the day. Example: moving [The Book-Ends] wheel wagon to a different part of the city in one go.
Extra:
Aniel inherited a briefcase that allows them to summon supplies from their home library in the North. It is NOT advisable to stick anything alive inside.
Do NOT steal from Aniel d'Elaine, they will know. Especially if youâre overdue.
((I wasnât sure whether to add this as extra or as a separate thing))
[The Book-ends] is a store which offers services of book repair, restoration, creation, buying, selling, and/or renting. It is a small business with Aniel as the sole employee. The selection covers magic books to more mundane titles like YA novels. The location changes as Aniel follows a route throughout Dahlthir. The wheel wagon is akin to a modern tiny house for 1 person occupancy. Â Thereâs an awning and counter that pops out of the left side. And if itâs a good day, Aniel will set up a small extension like a table or an extra shelf to showcase more books. Inside is an office area separate from the living quarters.
Working hours: [9 -5 Everyday]. Weather & Holidays excused.
Rentals are free of charge if returned on the same day borrowed in the same condition as it was rented. If you believe you need an extension, talk to Aniel.
Stealing will end in a ban and a call for the Authorities. Damaging books will end in a fee for the offender.
