I actually got into Metaltango somewhere mid-2021, after doing some QA work for RE4VR. One of my first tasks had to do with the Krauser/Leon knife fight, and long story short I got really hooked onto them. A friend already had brought up RE as something that could potentially appeal to me (specifically, Sergei Vladimir), so me getting into both RE and Metaltango was a given, hehe.

As for the iteration I prefer... oh boy. That's a question.

I enjoyed the OG specifically because it's set after Darkside Chronicle's Operation Javier, and I *love* DC Krauser. He has a sense of humor that matches Leon's, and writing a pair of deadpan snakers is a *LOT* of fun to me. It's also the game that got me into RE, as I was saying earlier, so I'm biased.

BUT. RE4R is an amazing game, and I also love its Krauser. The fact he got expanded on, given a slightly different personality, a different voice, but never losing sight that it's *Jack Krauser*. I love that it's not a 1:1 rendition of the OG RE4 with better graphics; it's its own game and it's *very* well done. I still think it should have won GOTY at the Game Awards.
