PLEASE GIVE US MORE ON THE SUPER BRANDS!!!! I AM BEGGING WITH MY WHOLE CHEST🙏🙏🙏🙏
SORRY I've been hoarding this ask, I wanted to use it to make the official
'(Un)Official Guide' Official Super Branding Guide!
In this day and age, hero brands are all but normal in our daily lives. Despite the enormous public outcry when the policy to "systemically brand" people came to pass, nowadays it's a very socially accepted and useful tool for law enforcement, as well as the general public, to know the potential dangers of the person they're dealing with.
But how do hero brands work exactly?
Hazardous Super Brand
More colloquially known as the "Villain Brand", this brand is located on the right shoulder blade. Any super with the designation 'Latent Supervillain' or above (all except 'non-threat's) will be required to have this brand. Please refer to the helpful info-graphic below:
*For more information on Power Types, Power Levels, and Social Designations, refer to the ‘Key Information’ section near the end of this post
Power Type: Depending on a super's power type, one of the three sections of the triangle will be filled in, while the other two are left blank. On the rare occasion a super's power falls into two categories, both will be filled in.
Power Level: Scaled 1-5, 1 being the lowest power level and 5 being the highest. One black rectangle will be filled in for each power level.
Social Designation: The three main designations (excluding 'non-threat,' who will not have this brand) are helpfully color coded to be recognizable at a distance: Red for Latent Supervillains, Black for Supervillains, and a Blue background added to a super’s Power Type triangle for designation of Test Subject.
ID number: All super’s are given an ID number, and any super with the Hazardous Super Brand has it helpfully written on their brand.
General Super Brand
More colloquially known as just the "Super Brand," this brand is placed on the right bicep just above the inner elbow, intended to be semi-easily accessible for easy identification by law enforcement. It is administered to every identified super using invisible tattoo ink, so it will not interfere with the super's daily life (except for some slight permanent skin discoloration around the tattoo sight).
There are three tiers to this brand, based around the Super Social Designations:
Non-threat
Latent Supervillain or Supervillain
Test subject
In addition, some supers are prohibited from using their power entirely; there can be many different reasons for this: danger to themself, danger to society, history of unlawful use of power. In such cases, the General Super Brand will be programmed with special ink to start glowing a bright white light if the super uses their power. Any person who sees a bright glowing arm brand has a civil duty to report it to the police immediately, and are also advised to hide from the dangerous super immediately.
*This brand is mainly meant for quick identification by law enforcement, hence the recent mandate that all people must show their right inner elbow to law enforcement if asked. Disregard the recent allegations that the skin discoloration of the tattoo makes it the invisible ink "all but useless", and that the brands have been the cause of many hate crimes against super-powered individuals. This is all hearsay and the General Super Brand has not been legally proven to be a danger to any super.
Key Information
Power Types
Manipulator– Manipulates the physical world in some way. This includes physical powers such as abilities to interact with physical matter, as well as powers that indirectly affect the physical world, such as healing powers, time manipulation, teleportation, etc. This category is the most common category of super.
Cerebral– Any power that can directly or indirectly manipulate another person’s mind, whether it be thoughts, emotions, intelligence level, etc. This category is the rarest and generally considered the be the most dangerous to another person's well-being, and is also the most common to be prohibited via a glowing General Super Brand.
Anatom– This designation simply denotes that a person’s power affects only themself and no one else, such as a physical change to their body, super eyesight, super self healing, etc. This category mainly serves to assure that anyone interacting with the super need not worry about a power directly affecting their well-being.
Power Levels
Power Level is determined mainly via testing of the super’s power. Power Level can be hard to quantify, but it is mainly measured by two metrics: How much potential it has to disrupt everyday order (regardless of intent to use it as such), and how much it could irreversibly affect a person or object who is not the super themself.
Roughly 70% of the super population will be level 1, 25% will be level 2, 4% will be level 3, 1% will be level 4, and a nearly negligible portion will be level 5.
Any super level 4 or above are not eligible to have the social designation 'non-threat.'
Social Designations:
Non-threat: The majority of supers are given this designation, meaning their power and personality have been evaluated to not be an immediate danger to the public.
Latent Supervillain: Given to a super who has been evaluated to be a potential danger to the public, but has not committed any power-related crimes. Generally given to supers with affiliation to dangerous groups or ideals, or any super with power level 4 or above.
Supervillain: Given to any super who has been previously or currently convicted for power-related crimes.
Test subject: This special designation is given to any super who has been legally claimed by the government or other appropriate body to use for research purposes. This designation can be given concurrently with any of the other designations. Supers with this designation ahould generally not be away from their prescribed facilities or out in public without a handler.
And that's all the basics! Now you have all the knowledge necessary to be able to identify a super on sight, as well as use their various tattoo brands to understand their powers and the threats they might pose to you! Use this knowledge wisely and stay safe!

Talking to scientist ghosts from the modern era
So, for the last... year and a half or so, I've been (largely unknowingly) exposed to enough methane gas to cause someone to have massive distress and very vivid, often anxiety-fueled hallucinations, many of which were beyond anything I've ever experienced in my life. And that goes for the other occupants of the house. This was like when a whole town gets mass hysteria without realizing it because their wheat got ergot in it. There were a lot of times that I couldn't really tell what normal was or couldn't realize that I wasn't having a sane life experience.
The thing is, while this was happening, I was also practicing a lot of magic and doing a lot of spirit work. So you know those initiations where you do a lot of some hallucinogenic herb and then receive visions of the cosmos and learn to talk to spirits and animals and connect with some sort of spirit companion or guide? Well I did a lot of that, because I was sort of stuck in the house with nowhere to go, a lot of magic books, a lot of art supplies, and the ability to predict when a specific nuclear scientist's estate went on auction on ebay. I now own basically his entire nuclear papers and library.
So like now I talk to a nuclear scientist's ghost on a regular basis. Now that I'm in the new house WITHOUT the magic stinky gas in it... I can hear him BETTER.
I don't really know how to talk about Jerry and the experience I've had communicating with him, but I do want to talk about it. Not to prove anything, but to share a kind of experience that I don't think a lot of people are able to openly share these days, for fear of stigma. Honestly, after all the weird crap I've said on this blog, sometimes under gaseous influence, I think you all can take me going on about protons for a bit.
Jerry likes to explain his favorite science to me a lot, so I hear him go on about newtonian physics, astrophysics, particle physics... and philosophy too, since he got his degrees back in the days when nuclear physics was in the philosophy department. It's part of why I keep watching so many science videos and talking so much about nuclear stuff on my blogs. He's really interesting and he's helped me do research much faster than I think I would have managed on my own. He used to design nuclear submarine propulsion systems and he also had a specialization in how crystals form on an atomic level, so in my opinion he was probably one of the most interesting people on the planet when he was alive.
Nowadays he's a very interesting ghost who wants to teach me (and anyone else who will listen) about how hard it is to hit a proton when you need/have to. Also he can rattle off quite a lot on nuclear policy and diplomacy and he keeps telling me which companies in the nuclear space are just hyping theoretical models instead of actually having a working prototype. Every time I look up what he says it's correct. (After research I personally wouldn't invest in NuScale. This is not financial advice. I am not a financial professional and Jerry was not either.)
The thing is, there should be a lot of ghosts out there like Jerry. Not just because nuclear stuff makes you psychically weird and therefore more likely to project a force ghost (or whatever astrals are), but because all manner of sciences came about in the turn of the 1900s and their degree programs solidified in the early decades of the 1900s. So there should be a lot of ghosts out there who know like, 'modern' science. And other people besides me must be talking to them.

Why Robert Oppenheimer's Atomic Bomb Still Haunts Us
— By Richard Rhodes | Published May 15, 2013
Oppenheimer spearheaded the creation of the atom bomb. René Burri/Magnum
Robert Oppenheimer oversaw the design and construction of the first atomic bombs. The American theoretical physicist wasn't the only one involved—more than 130,000 people contributed their skills to the World War II Manhattan Project, from construction workers to explosives experts to Soviet spies—but his name survives uniquely in popular memory as the names of the other participants fade. British philosopher Ray Monk's lengthy new biography of the man is only the most recent of several to appear, and Oppenheimer wins significant assessment in every history of the Manhattan Project, including my own. Why this one man should have come to stand for the whole huge business, then, is the essential question any biographer must answer.
It's not as if the bomb program were bereft of men of distinction. Gen. Leslie Groves built the Pentagon and thousands of other U.S. military installations before leading the entire Manhattan Project to success in record time. Hans Bethe discovered the sequence of thermonuclear reactions that fire the stars. Leo Szilard and Enrico Fermi invented the nuclear reactor. John von Neumann conceived the stored-program digital computer. Edward Teller and Stanislaw Ulam co-invented the hydrogen bomb. Luis Alvarez devised a whole new technology for detonating explosives to make the Fat Man bomb work, and later, with his son, Walter, proved that an Earth-impacting asteroid killed off the dinosaurs. The list goes on. What was so special about Oppenheimer?
He was brilliant, rich, handsome, charismatic. Women adored him. As a young professor at Berkeley and Caltech in the 1930s, he broke the European monopoly on theoretical physics, contributing significantly to making America a physics powerhouse that continues to win a freight of Nobel Prizes. Despite never having directed any organization before, he led the Los Alamos bomb laboratory with such skill that even his worst enemy, Edward Teller, told me once that Oppenheimer was the best lab director he'd ever known. After the war he led the group of scientists who guided American nuclear policy, the General Advisory Committee to the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission (AEC). He finished out his life as director of the prestigious Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey, where he welcomed young scientists and scholars into that traditionally aloof club.
August 9, 1945: Nagasaki is hit by an atom bomb. Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum/EPA
Those were exceptional achievements, but they don't by themselves explain his unique place in nuclear history. For that, add in the dark side. His brilliance came with a casual cruelty, born certainly of insecurity, which lashed out with invective against anyone who said anything he considered stupid; even the brilliant Bethe wasn't exempt. His relationships with the significant women in his life were destructive: his first deep love, Jean Tatlock, the daughter of a Berkeley professor, was a suicide; his wife, Kitty, a lifelong alcoholic. His daughter committed suicide; his son continues to live an isolated life.
His Choices or Mistakes, Combined with his Penchant for Humiliating Lesser Men, Eventually Destroyed Him.
Oppenheimer's achievements as a theoretical physicist never reached the level his brilliance seemed to promise; the reason, his student and later Nobel laureate Julian Schwinger judged, was that he "very much insisted on displaying that he was on top of everything"—a polite way of saying Oppenheimer was glib. The physicist Isidor Rabi, a Nobel laureate colleague whom Oppenheimer deeply respected, thought he attributed too much mystery to the workings of nature. Monk notes his curiously uncritical respect for the received wisdom of his field.
Monk's discussion of Oppenheimer's work in physics is one of his book's great contributions to the saga, an area of the man's life that previous biographies have neglected. In the late 1920s Oppenheimer first worked out the physics of what came to be called black holes, those collapsing giant stars that pull even light in behind them as they shrink to solar-system or even planetary size. Some have speculated Oppenheimer might have won a Nobel for that work had he lived to see the first black hole identified in 1971.

Oppenheimer's patriotism should have been evident to even the most obtuse government critic. He gave up his beloved physics, after all, not to mention any vestige of personal privacy, to help make his country invulnerable with atomic bombs. Yet he risked his work and reputation by dabbling in left-wing and communist politics before the war and lying to security officers during the war about a solicitation to espionage he received. His choices or mistakes, combined with his penchant for humiliating lesser men, eventually destroyed him.
One of those lesser men, a vicious piece of work named Lewis Strauss, a former shoe salesman turned Wall Street financier and physicist manqué, was the vehicle of Oppenheimer's destruction. When President Eisenhower appointed Strauss to the chairmanship of the AEC in the summer of 1953, Strauss pieced together a case against Oppenheimer. He was still splenetic from an extended Oppenheimer drubbing delivered during a congressional hearing all the way back in 1948, and he believed the physicist was a Soviet spy.
Strauss proceeded to revoke Oppenheimer's security clearance, effectively shutting him out of government. Oppenheimer could have accepted his fate and returned to an academic life filled with honors; he was due to be dropped as an AEC consultant anyway. He chose instead to fight the charges. Strauss found a brutal prosecuting attorney to question the scientist, bugged his communications with his attorney, and stalled giving the attorney the clearances he needed to vet the charges. The transcript of the hearing In the Matter of J. Robert Oppenheimer is one of the great, dark documents of the early atomic age, almost Shakespearean in its craven parade of hostile witnesses through the government star chamber, with the victim himself, catatonic with shame, sunken on a couch incessantly smoking the cigarettes that would kill him with throat cancer at 63 in 1967.
Rabi was one of the few witnesses who stood up for his friend, finally challenging the hearing board in exasperation, "We have an A-bomb and a whole series of it [because of Oppenheimer's work], and what more do you want, mermaids?" What Strauss and others, particularly Edward Teller, wanted was Oppenheimer's head on a platter, and they got it. The public humiliation, which he called "my train wreck," destroyed him. Those who knew him best have told me sadly that he was never the same again.
For Monk as for Rabi, Oppenheimer's central problem was his hollow core, his false sense of self, which Rabi with characteristic wit framed as an inability to decide whether he wanted to be president of the Knights of Columbus or B'nai B'rith. The German Jews who were Oppenheimer's 19th-century forebears had worked hard at assimilation—that is, at denying their religious heritage. Oppenheimer's parents submerged that heritage further in New York's ethical-culture movement that salvaged the humanism of Judaism while scrapping the supernatural overburden. Oppenheimer, actor that he was, could fit himself to almost any role, but turned either abject or imperious when threatened. He was a great lab director at Los Alamos because of his intelligence—"He was much smarter than the rest of us," Bethe told me—because of his broad knowledge and culture; because of his psychological insight into the complicated personalities of the gifted men assembled there to work on the bomb; most of all because he decided to play that role, as a patriotic citizen, and played it superbly.
Monk is a levelheaded and congenial guide to Oppenheimer's life, his biography certainly the best that has yet come along. But he devotes far too many pages to Oppenheimer's Depression-era flirtation with communism, a dead letter long ago and one that speaks more of a rich esthete's awakening to the suffering in the world than to Oppenheimer's political convictions. He doesn't always get the science right. Most of the errors are trivial, but a few are important to the story.
Their Fundamental Objection Was to Giving up Production of Real Weapons so That Teller Could Pursue His Pipe Dream, a Dead-end Hydrogen Bomb Design.
A fundamental reason Oppenheimer opposed a crash program to develop the hydrogen bomb in response to the first Soviet atomic-bomb test in 1949 was the requirement of Edward Teller's "Super" design for large amounts of a rare isotope of hydrogen, tritium. Tritium is bred by irradiating lithium in a nuclear reactor, but the slugs of lithium take up space that would otherwise be devoted to breeding plutonium. To make tritium for a hydrogen bomb that the U.S. did not know how to build would have required sacrificing most of the U.S. production of plutonium for devastating atomic bombs the U.S. did know how to build. To Oppenheimer and the other scientists on the GAC, such an irresponsible substitution as an answer to the Soviet bomb made no strategic sense. It's true that the hydrogen bomb with its potentially unlimited scale of destruction made no military sense to them either—and was morally repugnant to some of them as well. But their fundamental objection, which Monk overlooks, was to giving up production of real weapons so that Teller could pursue his pipe dream, a dead-end hydrogen bomb design that never worked.
Julius Robert Oppenheimer (April 22, 1904 – February 18, 1967)
More egregious is Monk's notion that the Danish physicist Niels Bohr, Oppenheimer's mentor during the war on the international implications of the new technology, pushed for the bomb's use on Japan to make its terror manifest. He did not. He pushed, to the contrary, for the Allies, the Soviet Union included, to discuss the implications of the bomb prior to its use and to devise a framework for controlling it. Bohr foresaw that the bomb would stalemate major war, as it has, but correctly feared that U.S. secrecy about its development would lead to a U.S.-Soviet arms race. He conferred with both Roosevelt and Churchill about presenting the fact of the bomb to the Russians as a common danger to the world, like a new epidemic disease, that needed to be quarantined by common agreement. Churchill vehemently disagreed, and Roosevelt was old and ill. The moment passed. The arms race followed, as Bohr foresaw, and with diminished force, among pariah states like Iran and North Korea, continues to this day.
Monk's Oppenheimer is a less appealing figure than the Oppenheimer of previous biographies, perhaps because, as an Englishman, Monk is less susceptible to Oppenheimer's rhetorical gifts and more candid about calling out his evasions. He pulls together most of what several generations of Oppenheimer scholars have found and offers new revelations as well. Yet there's a faint whiff of condescension in his portrait, and the real Oppenheimer, the man whom so many loved and admired, still somehow escapes him. He misses the deep alignment of Robert Oppenheimer's life with Greek tragedy, the charismatic hubris that was his glory but also the flaw that brought him low. But maybe I'm expecting too much: maybe only a large work of fiction could assemble that critical mass.

Here is my list of my Favourite Episodes in DS9 (in whichever order I remember them):
House of Quark: it has everything I need. No humans. Cultural differences. Excellent comedy timing. Klingons. Quark. 10/10 would use it to cheer me up on a bad day. I think of it often. Indescribable.
Tribunal: It corresponds with the mandatory episode of O'Brien Must Suffer but we have a good insight in Cardassian culture and the lawyer gives me life. About to retire, caring the bare minimum to see if he can retire, exasperated at the lack of communication with his client... And Cardassians about to kill somebody because these aliens keep interrupting them. The comic reliefs are gold in this episode.
Captive Pursuit: I love the character design for the Tosk, and it is a story of a first contact done quite well. There is the slight cultural shock. The alien is very alien-like, with gestures that are not the same as everyone else's. And the arc itself is very interesting. I wish they had more time to tell us about them or that they would have appeared in another episode.
The assignment: Finally an episode with Keiko but it's not Keiko. We see what we miss because they didn't know what to do with this magnificent actress but the tension is constant from minute one. It's horrifying, you can't stop watching, you can't find a solution, you feel as trapped as Miles and they just keep adding to it.
In the cards: The same we had a O'Brien Must Suffer, we should have been given a Nog and Jake Have An Idea per season. I like how this one kind of mirrors the one where it's Nog who wants to make profit selling self-sealing stem bolts and Jake helps him and he happens to know better than Nog how to do it. This time, it's Nog putting to use his Ferengi skills, we get to learn about an extra piece of lore in Ferengi culture and it's overall a very fun episode after some dramatic episodes. And when it couldn't be sillier, they have to fucking negotiate with Weyoun.
Valiant: Another episode where you can't stop looking, you feel like Jake trying to shake them and see if they wake up, but at the same time, what the fuck is wrong with Starfleet as a whole? In a series that is constantly questioning Federation policies, where they introduced the Jem'Hadar and all they entail, they bring us human child soldiers. Excellent acting, excellent story. Very poignant.
Chimera: This would have been a wonderful episode for season 3. They could have made a very interesting arc from the idea of "what about the other hundred? Won't you look for them?". I like how it mirrors Jadzia and her ex-wife meeting again and how they use the link metaphor to give us a gay love story mine de rien. Again, if this episode happened sooner, Odo could have explored many of the points Laas makes (which are very good points, even if he is a bit of an asshole) but it is still fascinating that they managed to make this episode with all those points and left it there. Also, kudoz for mentioning Martok while the actor playing Martok is there being someone else.
And not episodes but two of the best moments of the series are:
When Kira is about to leave and one by one they come to say bye and it ends up being like a Marx Brother's sketch.
When Keiko is pregnant again and they come to Quark's to give the news. The dialogue between Bashir, Miles, Quark and when it couldn't be better, Worf.
Special medal goes to: the comic relief in Far Beyond The Stars being us recognising actors out of make up. Shout out to the unexpected suave of Worf.
They had a golden team in this series to do what they wanted and they did.

Lots of progress made on the skull. :)
I don't really know what to do for the rest of it yet, still kinda feeling it out, but I'm really happy with how that turned out. Plenty of room left in the middle for that design when I figure out what I'm going to do.
I really built up that piece in my mind because... it's one of a kind. And very permanent. That was the skull of a living being, a soul, an individual. And ink is super permanent, no room for fuck ups. And it kinda got me.
Weird... how someone who spent a good 3 years of their life pursuing a tattooing career (only to be backstabbed by their own artist...) had hesitation and difficulty starting an ink piece on a non-living canvas. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
I remember doing my intensive apprenticeship thing so vividly. The most memorable being matching tattoos I did on a mother and daughter, on the tops of their feet. And they came out great, I really didn't have much hesitation with it either. In fact, I was the first to volunteer to ink a person for the first time - and inked one of my teachers. And don't get me wrong, there were nerves... but not this kind.
I guess that's more reason to keep doing pieces like this. It's a really important reminder that... everything is permanent. And every piece is one-of-a-kind. And... this is a tough one for the logical, controlling brain to really accept... there is no such thing as a fuck up. Not in art.
You'll always get people who argue that. I'll even argue it with myself. But man, if you can actually get yourself to accept that? It's so fucking liberating. There is no such thing as a fuck up. It's just... something different. If I intend for a brush stroke to look one way and I sneeze and it goes flying off in a different direction? That's simply... part of the piece's character, and as the artist, it's up to you to decide what to do with that. As a musician, if you're in the middle of an improvised solo and hit a D# when you're going for D? It's up to you, as the musician, to make that work. To make it make sense.
And here's a little hack. To any of you interested in nourishing your creativity. PRACTICE THAT. Practice rolling with the punches. Practice making it work. Practice improvisation. Practice the fundamentals too, if you want, I mean... it's all really whatever you want to do when it comes to visual art or music. You can go your whole life and never learn theory or learn how to read music, plenty of people have. You can be a legendary artist and never study perspective or anatomy or shading or anything. Study what you feel you need, what pulls you in. That adds tools to your toolbelt. And then... you pull those tools out to improvise. But if you don't know how to improvise, or you don't allow yourself to improvise? The tools are useless. And you go "man, I spent years training... what for?!"
It's the jazz approach, I guess.
I feel so blessed that I was introduced to stream of consciousness and improvisation at a very young age - around 16-17. And, interestingly enough, it was because I had failed an English class. XD And a history class! And history was my favorite course! The history teacher failed me, and also... somehow, even though it was against school policy... benched me all season in basketball, my favorite sport at the time... and I really have no idea why to this day. So they actually tried to flunk me out of high school, but I ended up in some special education program... which really kinda fucked up my head, to be honest. Just because someone is struggling in school doesn't mean treat them like they're broken and threaten to throw them out of school, that's super fucked up. But honestly, it ended up being one of the best things that ever happened to me. Because my english teacher at the special education program, he could tell I was just... bored... and completely uninterested in the bog standard "read 50 pages a night" english memorization and recitation grind. Because I got my highest grade of all time in Creative Writing. So... he introduced me to the Beat Poets. And gave me a copy of The Dharma Bums, that I still have over on my bookshelf. And it changed my life forever.
I hope I get to sit down with him and share my gratitude for that someday. I'm sure, as an educator, that would bring him so much joy.
So yeah, I caught up on sleep which is dope. But that meant a late start to the day. But I got a lot of work on the skull done. And the whole day was basically watching RP streams and working on that.
My jasmine is really close to blooming, which is really exciting. The buds are getting really big and changing color. I really wasn't expecting it this soon! I'm gonna have to go take care of my plants pretty soon here before I head to bed, the sun is pretty much fully up at this point. I'll squeeze in a tarot reading first before I go.
First Position - Past - Three of Cups, inverted (Celebration, calling in good fortune, joy. Social gathering, a heartfelt belonging in a community.) Second Position - Present - Queen of Wands (Warm, dedicated, confident, optimistic. Focusing inward to harness creative energy.) Third Position - Future - XIX: The Sun, inverted (Hope, clarity, confidence. Success, fulfillment, revelation.)
Alright, this one is a bit tricky at first glance. Again... inversions always make things messy for me. But I'm gonna try to just trust my gut and see what I make of this. The origin of the thread is the "party card", which is a very clear image to me, especially given how rare it has been in my life. But... it's inverted... So... something from my past that inhibited my ability to be part of a close-knit community? Or maybe... the ripples of a close social event gone wrong... That led to the Present, where my introspection and introversion are basically perpetual. The Queen of Wands, my first time seeing it, felt super relatable when I drew it. It really does often feel like all of my time and effort is spent on introspection in an effort to nurture inner creative growth, and stimulate creative expression. And this trend... in the Future... can lead to... a blockage in fulfillment. This is tough to see, and a little hard to read. The Sun is supposed to be a really nice card to see, clarity and success, but inversion (in how I tend to read cards) means blockage or dysfunction. Chaos vs. Order. So... what I'm getting from this is... some serious dysfunction from partying led to a deep introversion and creative growth... but... if I continue on that course, it will not lead to success or fulfillment. I will be missing something. Hmm... I wonder what that missing part is... could it be... the only other inverted card on the board? Could it be... a social life? Social belonging? Being part of a community?
Getting pretty big deja vu right now. :) I wonder how many thousand times I've come to this realization. XD Balance is really important. And as much as I'm obsessed with work work work and self-improvement and all that shit... I miss just having some laughs with friends. I miss going on a walk by a river or on a beach and just casually chatting. I miss playing Jackbox. I miss throwing back some ciders and smoking a hookah and playing Phasmophobia or Space Engineers. I miss getting high and playing Wrecking Ball in Overwatch.
Creativity and self-expression are crucial for me. Self-improvement and self-care are super important. But man, life isn't all work work work all the time. So yeah, that was a helpful reminder. Maybe I should reinstall GTA V and hop on that RP server and just go dick around with people. Who cares if they're not good at RP, I'll carry. I have some ideas.
I had one character I kinda wanted to play named Jack Lyer. And his whole thing is... a riff off the 90's Jim Carrey movie Liar Liar... So the first thing I was going to do was go to the hospital and report to them that I just got into the city and my doctor told me I need to let them know and get my records transferred that I was in a severe car crash and suffered major brain damage, and a byproduct of that damage is that I was incapable of lying. Set the foundation of the character with a physical record that can be verified if needed, so I don't have to backfill that if people try to RP check me. I figured a character that is biologically incapable of lying could lead to some really funny interactions since crime is everywhere and it's such commonly known thing that you don't talk about it. So if anyone asks him anything, he has to tell the truth without hesitation. I like the premise, but I'm a little afraid it might be a bit tacky, or it might just get my character perpetually killed... but like... if he is... he's just going to tell the hospital and the cops literally everything that he remembers. XD I don't know, it could be fun.
Another character idea is a really super friendly guy who latches on to the first person who befriends him, and very gradually he starts to change his appearance to look exactly like that person. Very subtly though, like... one article of clothing at a time... subtle gestures, like imitating the way they stand. Stuff like that. Maybe even spying on them and following them around and shit. So, after days of (hopefully) unnoticeably gradual change, I end up looking exactly like that person. And if they ever confront me on it, I become a complete asshole, gaslight the fuck out of them and find someone else to repeat the process.
It's a start. I'm still tempted to go back and reboot my only character I really sunk time into - Raymond Holmes - who, during the in-game day, wanted to be a YouTube stuntman, but by night reverted into the mental capacity of a 7 year old child. If I do bring him back, I'm bringing him back without the personality flips, just child-mode. But... I'm just on the fence about playing a mentally handicapped person. I don't know, maybe I'm just reading too much into it. Being stuck in a child-like state as a mid-40's adult is very clearly a mental health problem... at least it's very clear to me. And... I was always very... direct with that. Like... this dude is not just some quirky goofy idiot character, this trait of his has very clearly dark roots that he really did not like talking about. And I treated it very directly like an arrested development thing, I just acted like a child in an adult's body, like I was playing an actual child. I stopped playing because the other players were kinda doing fucked up things, and not even hesitating. People just kept giving me booze and cigarettes and weed, and getting me in really dangerous situations. And it really just... made me uncomfortable. Like... it wasn't really done in a funny way, it was very 1 to 100 and very like... high school bullies at a party getting the house owner's little brother drunk until he almost ends up in the hospital and thinking it's funny... kinda vibes... So yeah, I mean... I feel like I could play someone with a severe mental health problem like that properly, and accurately... and respectfully... but I don't really trust others to interact with him as such, and yeah... that turned me off of RPing for a while.
Anyway, it's getting late. Good progress on work and glad to have a bit of a new direction. I think RP is the way for now, if I can find a good place for it. The search continues...

the mangekyo is classic kishimoto. he needed a cool powerup thats the explanation, you can clearly tell he was just doodling cool eye design and came up with an excuse later. the mangekyo isn't from killing someone its from the grief of someone you love dearly dying, because the uchiha are the clan of emotion (the one consistency in the manga). all sharingan upgrades are from intense emotions. and mangekyo only unlocks with the most intense emotion: grief. there's plenty of uchiha that awakened it even if they didn't directly kill their loved one. anyways the explanation is that the intense emotion causes a chakra reaction in the brain that causes their eyes to change. see the secret is that naruto is 95% bullshit like this. mangekyo sharingan is a great example of the phenomena.
i hate this explanation so much. special brain chakra... and then the mangekyo is a more extreme version requiring even stronger emotions. the sharingan doesn't normally develop over time. it requires the intense emotions to level up and it just so happens that putting child soldiers in a war in life or death situations where most of their friends and family die tends to meet those requirements.
im rotating the fire lightning sasuke chakra affinity debate in my head. Sasuke's shown talent with both making giant fireballs in like a week and a small one on his first try and lightning chidori in a month. He uses a mix of fire and lighting jutsu. So theres no strong evidence in either those two points that tilts the scales. His mangekyo sharingan is the most unique and personal of his skills and ameterasu (sun goddess) is a fire skill. This is probably the strongest evidence that he's fire affinity. His clan's specialty is fire. On the lighting side is how he's a reincarnation of indra, indra irl the hindu god of the sky (indoeuropean sky father diety thik odin or zeus) so theres a strong association with lightning there, most of the jutsu sasuke's created has been lightning too like kirin or the sword thing.
Finishing up the naruto manga and i have to say sauce-gay is the worst at thinking, truly not a single thought rattling around in there only murder. When naruto is the brains reasoning side of thia fight, you should knkw you've messed up. Im going to kill itachi -> im going to kill everyone in konoha -> im going to kill the kages just because -> save the world teehee -> jk lmao back to killing all the kages, bijuu, and ofc naruto.
One thing i find interesting about the third hokage hiruzen is how his belief in the good in others causes so many problems. Hiruzen believes so strongly in people being their best selves than he will overlook anything and everything and do nothing about problems because he thinks those problems will fix themselves. Danzo and orochimaru are great examples of this. Danzo: betrays hiruzen Hiruzen: thats ok you care about konoha Danzo: tries to throw a coup Hiruzen: thats ok you care about konoha Danzo: betrays hirizen again Hiruzen: thats ok you care about konoha Danzo: kidnaps and tortures children Hiruzen: thats ok you care about konoha Danzo: genocides the uchiha clan Hiruzen: slap on the wrist. Really the whole uchiha affair was very indicative hiruzens personality and leadership style. He makes attempts at dialogue but makes 0 policy changes to back up his words or address the grievances of the uchiha. Because he believes it will all work out in the end, the fugaku and the uchiha are good people and a part of konoha so of course hiruzen doesnt actually need to take any action or need to demonstrate that the uchiha that they are a part of konoha. I think in any other job hiruzen would have just been the kindly old man and a good person but because he was in a leadership position where his negligence and willingness to believe the best in people, he was complicit in just a lot of evil like all the torturing kids wow.
The konoha leadership or the narrative potential of it i find very interesting. But thats mostly because i like political dramas. I would happily read a political drama about all the factionalism and clan politics of konoha and probably like it better than the actual series. All the hokages and leadership end up a bit morally ambiguous. On the pretty clearly evil but does have a couple points is danzo who was right how sometimes sacrifices must be made but his vision of konoha was so tied up in his own ego. His foal was what was best for konoha but what he saw as best for konoha oh so conveniently placed him in a position of unilateral total power. And thus anything he did to advanced his own position also in his mind advanced the interest of konoha. On the other end is hashirama who did so a lot to end violence and brokered a lot of peace agreements and instead of 6 year olds he was only sending out 10 year olds to for die for their nation. Progress. And he also went and enslaved the bijuu as war weapons. And rhen theres tobirama who invented public education but also zombies, encoded factionalism into law and isolated the uchiha his clan's rival clan (and we all know how well than ended up).
Back to political drama. Boruto seems really bad like really really bad and i don't think it should have been made at all. But if the premises were to be salvaged i think the best way would be to make it a work comedy/political drama/midlife crisis story geared toward struggling 40 year olds. Of course this would never sell which is why they didnt do it. But you could really revel in the mess of things. Stressed out, overworked, marriage in shambles, dreams all crumbled to dust. Like naruto and hinata married at 19 and had a kid at 20. Yikes slow down. A more interesting take would have been that naruto didnt particularly want to marry hinata but wanted all the things that came with it. Naruto's a people pleaser this is canon, and hinata loves him unconditionally and fiercely in a way he has no reference for so of course he loves her back and wants her to be happy. Naruto is nice like that. He alao has little references for healthy marriages. He wants to be happy, he wants to be loved, he wants a normal family, he wants kids. And you know the hyuuga clan was putting on the pressure. Town hero and future hokage? Oh they are jumping on that. And he likes being with hinata but the pressures getting to him and the job is getting to him, he's wanted this for so long so of course he has to push himself. But he's unhappy and desperately in denial that he is unhappy because he has everything he's ever wanted what could be wrong.
... boruto (the kid) is a boomer. Like a literal post war baby boom
A lot of people were mad at that kishimoto decided to put a war in naruto and im not. The writing is bad but a lot of the writing in naruto is bad..i dont hate the concept because war is a reoccurring theme in naruto. The last continent wide war was a little over 15 years ago so all the adult characters are traumatized by it. Their society is geared towards perpetual war and the constant imminent of threat of war drives the politics of all the nations. And the 4th shinobi war does continues the main themes of Naruto. Because the contingent is caught in a cycle pain and hurt where wars are waged against each other but finally they arent fighting each other they are fighting with each other, they break that cycle. This ties in with the other theme that people cant do things alone (nagato, itachi, madara, obito), people are stronger together (naruto, the allied shinobi force). The "with all our power combined" thing is heavy handed but eh naruto isnt a good series. Ninja war had parts that were very good and them a whole lot of filler inbetween. Pacing was bad.
Contrast this with bnha (which im currently reading) which overall is a better series with better writing but unlike naruto, bnha did not have those underlying themes of war so its was arc is more out of place. In some ways bnha is more political especially in the social justice sense. The dynamic between those with and without quirks in particular i find interesting. In that when quirks first appeared those with them were heavily discriminated against. The term "quirk" itself in universe was an act of early quirk activism. And to this day those with very visually noticeable quirks or bodies that look different are discriminated against in the same society where now a quirkless kid will get bullied for not having a quirk. Those who are oppressed are not innocent of never further the oppression of others. Like irish americans becoming cops

Why Life Insurance Courses are Essential for a Successful Insurance Career
Introduction:
In today’s competitive insurance industry, professional education is more crucial than ever. Aspiring agents must not only pass licensing exams but also understand the complexities of insurance products and how they can be best utilized to serve clients. Life insurance, in particular, is one of the cornerstones of the industry. Taking specialized life insurance courses provides individuals with a solid foundation for a successful career. By gaining expertise in life insurance, agents are better equipped to offer tailored solutions that meet their clients' unique needs, thereby positioning themselves as trusted advisors.
The Importance of Life Insurance Courses:
Life insurance courses cover a wide range of critical topics that every insurance agent must master. From understanding different policy types such as term life, whole life, and universal life, to learning how to assess risk and navigate legal requirements, these courses offer a comprehensive education. Agents are also taught how to explain policy details in a way that’s clear to their clients, ensuring that the insured are fully informed before making decisions. For agents, having this in-depth knowledge means they can provide more accurate advice and guide clients through the decision-making process more effectively, which ultimately leads to stronger client relationships and business growth.
Moreover, life insurance courses are essential for staying current with regulatory updates. The life insurance industry is subject to frequent changes in laws and regulations, which can affect policy structures, compliance requirements, and sales processes. Agents who have taken the time to study and stay informed through life insurance courses are not only able to provide better service but are also more likely to avoid legal pitfalls and protect their reputation.
Industry Growth and Opportunities:
The demand for life insurance professionals continues to grow as market trends shift and new regulatory standards are introduced. In a world where financial security is increasingly prioritized, more people are recognizing the importance of life insurance as part of their long-term financial planning. This has created a surge in opportunities for agents who have the necessary qualifications. By completing life insurance courses, agents position themselves for career advancement, whether they are looking to join an established agency or build their own business.
Agents who specialize in life insurance also have the opportunity to diversify their skill set and tap into niche markets, such as estate planning, business succession, or supplemental retirement income strategies. The comprehensive education provided by life insurance courses ensures that agents can handle these more complex client needs. As a result, those who invest in their education find that they are better prepared for these opportunities, giving them a competitive edge in the industry.
Why Texas Insurance Training Academy:
Texas Insurance Training Academy offers life insurance courses that are designed to be both thorough and practical, providing aspiring agents with all the tools they need for success. Our courses are led by industry professionals with years of experience, offering insights that go beyond textbook knowledge. Understanding Mortgage Life Insurance in the UK: A Comprehensive Guide
When it comes to securing your family's financial future, life insurance plays a crucial role. For homeowners, mortgage life insurance is a specialized product designed to provide peace of mind. This post will: So, let us jump in and get to the meat of it!
What Does Mortgage Life Insurance Mean?
Mortgage life insurance is a form of home loan protection, which will help pay your mortgage if the policy holder dies. The main objective is to avoid leaving your family with the responsibility of making mortgage payments when it comes a hard moment. Term life insurance, in most cases, pays a death benefit that is consistent throughout the entire term of your policy, whereas Mortgage Life Insurance Coveroften decreases as your mortgage balance gets smaller.
Mortgage Life Insurance vs. Other Mortgage Types
One of the most popular types of Mortgage Life Insurance is Decreasing Term Life Insurance. The payout diminishes with your mortgage balance over time. This is often cheaper than other forms of life insurance, as the risk to the insurer decreases with a fixed-sum payout sum reducing over time as it equates to a typical repayment mortgage amortization.
Level Term Life Insurance: A variation of decreasing term insurance that pays out the same premium (known as the level death benefit). Although this tends to be costlier it will result in a larger pay out for your dependents.
Whole of Life Insurance: This type of insurance is less used for a mortgage but can provide cover for the policyholder’s entire life. Term life insurance is cheaper but pays no matter when the policyholder passes on whereas permanent life insurance although costing more, however, pays a set amount.
Why Do You Have Mortgage Life Insurance? Protecting Loved Ones The primary benefit of mortgage life insurance is the protection it offers to your family. In the unfortunate event of your death, your loved ones will not have to worry about making mortgage payments. It is invaluable, allowing you to focus on what is really important — your family.
Lenders’ Requirements
Some mortgage providers insist as part of the deal that you take insurance out, namely life insurance, and with most policies you will be protected to keep up the payments in full or in part if something awful happens. On top of this a decent proportion require contribution towards your home Find out about Mortgage Payment Protection here.
While it is often not required that you do, a policy may help speed the process up and can sometimes even dictate better terms on your mortgage.
Picking the Right Policy:
Choosing the right mortgage life insurance policy involves several considerations:
Assess Your Mortgage Needs
First, calculate how much insurance you need by deducting your mortgage balance. Factors include how long you owe money on your mortgage, or if your family would need added financial support if you died.
Compare Providers
In the UK, there is a myriad of life insurance providers, all with different policy types, terms and price points. Browse comparison sites to see all the alternatives you can choose from. Make sure to find Life Insurance Providers Uk, with high consumer ratings and sound financial ratings.
Read the Terms and Conditions
Please take a moment to carefully read our privacy and cookie policies. Look out for:
Exclusions: Know when the benefits allowed in the policy can be taken away.
When Coverage Began: There may also be a waiting period before any benefits kick in.
Elderly care and policies online shopping guide-tip: Premium Flexibility, are the premiums adjustable over time or are they fixed.
Consult an Advisor
Or a financial advisor can help you determine which type of policy is right for you. They are able to help you with tailored advice that is relevant for your current financial position and (indeed) shed light on the minefield of Life Insurance.
What is the Cost of Mortgage Life Insurance?
Mortgage life insurance costs depend on a variety of factors like:
Age: Those who are younger will usually have to pay a decreased premium.
Health — preexisting health conditions or risks can also raise rates
Life Style: Smokers and people in dangerous jobs sometimes have to pay more as a premium.
The more extensive cover, the greater premium
A healthy 30 year old might expect to pay as little as £15-£20 a month for decreasing term life insurance, on average. Although, there can be variations in these rates according to personal situations.
The typical claim process is as follows:
Contact the life insurance company at the earliest possible time considering the death of a policy holder.
You must provide such documentation as a death certificate and your identity papers.
After your claim has been submitted, the insurer will apprure it whether or not it meets policy requirements.
Payment: If approved, the insurer will settle your outstanding home loan balance with the lender directly.
Conclusion:
With house prices riding sky-high, mortgage life insurance is a must for any homeowner in the UK. Not only does it provide your loved ones with some provision against the shock of losing their breadwinner, but also gives you peace of mind and freedom to choose your own destiny while still on this earth. Whether you go for decreasing term insurance, level term insurance or whole of life insurance, this step taken now will make all the difference tomorrow.

The Price of Applause: More Than Just Lights, Camera, Action!
When people think of community theatre, they often imagine the excitement of live performances, the camaraderie among cast members, and the joy of seeing neighbors on stage. What they don’t often see is the intricate web of costs involved in bringing a show to life. As much as we thrive on the passion and volunteer efforts that make community theatre a reality, the financial side of things plays a crucial role in every production. Let’s take a behind-the-scenes look at where the money goes in community theatre.
1. The Building and Utilities
It all starts with the building. Whether it's a modest performance space or a more elaborate theatre, rent or mortgage payments must be covered. And just like any business, theatres incur monthly utility bills—electricity, water, heating, and cooling. Running rehearsals, tech days, and performances requires keeping the lights on, often for many hours a day. Plus, there's the need for Wi-Fi, phone systems, and insurance—ensuring that both the building and its occupants are protected.
2. Staffing
While many involved in community theatre donate their time, some staff positions must be paid. This includes technical directors, lighting and sound designers, stage managers, and box office staff. In some cases, directors, choreographers, and music directors receive stipends for their time and expertise. On top of that, janitorial services are essential to keep the space clean and comfortable, especially during a run of performances. House managers and ushers are also often compensated for managing audience experience and safety.
3. Costumes, Props, and Set Design
One of the more visible expenses for any production is the creation of the world on stage. Costumes, props, and sets require extensive materials and craftsmanship. Even in a community theatre setting, audiences expect high-quality visuals. Depending on the era or fantastical nature of the show, costume designers need to source fabrics, wigs, shoes, and accessories. For set design, lumber, paint, lighting rigs, and special effects all contribute to creating the right atmosphere for a show. And don’t forget about props—everything from swords and teapots to fake money and books.
4. Royalties, Music, and Scripts
One of the lesser-known but significant expenses for theatres is the cost of licensing a show. Every play or musical is owned by a rights holder, and theatres must pay royalties to legally perform a show. These fees vary greatly depending on the show’s popularity and the size of the audience, but they can easily range from a few hundred to several thousand dollars. Additionally, scripts and musical scores need to be purchased or rented for every cast and crew member. For musicals, the rights to use the musical scores and orchestrations are an additional cost.
5. Marketing and Promotions
The success of any theatre production depends on butts in seats, and getting the word out requires more than just word of mouth. Flyers, posters, social media campaigns, email blasts, and occasionally paid advertising (whether digital or print) all contribute to the marketing budget. Some theatres may hire a marketing director or outsource to a professional service, adding to the overall cost.
6. House Management
During performances, a whole new set of costs comes into play. Ushers need to manage audience flow, concessions might need to be stocked, and someone must oversee ticketing. Box office software or staff often come with their own expenses. Additionally, security and safety personnel are essential, ensuring that audiences and performers alike are safe and the space is compliant with local regulations.
7. Insurance and Rights
Theatre productions involve moving parts—literally. Sets, heavy equipment, and packed houses mean insurance is a must. Liability insurance ensures that in case of accidents or property damage, the theatre is protected. There may also be insurance policies covering costumes and sets, ensuring that expensive items are covered in case of theft, loss, or damage.
8. Janitorial and Maintenance Costs
Though not glamorous, keeping the theatre clean and operational is crucial. Between shows, janitors clean bathrooms, sweep floors, and ensure that every space is tidy for the next set of audience members. Additionally, regular maintenance of the theatre—repairing HVAC systems, plumbing, and the stage itself—adds to the running costs.
9. Rehearsal Space and Technical Needs
Rehearsals often occur for months before a show opens. In many cases, theatres don’t own rehearsal spaces and need to rent them. Even if the theatre space is used, the time required for rehearsals still ties up resources like lighting, sound, and air conditioning, adding to the utility bill. Tech rehearsals—when lighting, sound, and sets are fine-tuned—use even more resources, with all elements of the show running simultaneously.
10. Miscellaneous Costs
From feeding the cast and crew during long rehearsals to providing transportation for large sets, there are always unexpected costs. This can include last-minute purchases of missing costume pieces or tools to fix broken set elements. Every production has a contingency budget for those unpredictable moments.
Final Thoughts
While community theatre is driven by passion and love for the arts, it’s important to recognize the extensive financial commitment that goes into every production. Ticket sales often cover only a portion of these expenses, which is why donations, sponsorships, and grants are critical to keeping community theatre alive and thriving. It’s a labor of love, and while the spotlight may be on the actors, every single person and resource behind the scenes plays a part in making magic happen.
Next time you attend a community theatre show, know that your ticket isn’t just paying for a seat—it’s supporting an entire ecosystem dedicated to bringing art and joy to the community.

The Best Life Insurance Companies: Policies, Pricing, and Perks
Choosing the right life insurance best companies life insurance company is a crucial step in securing your financial future and providing peace of mind for your loved ones. When evaluating the best life insurance companies, it's important to consider their policies, pricing, and additional perks. Each company offers different benefits, and understanding these can help you select a provider that best fits your needs. Here’s a detailed look at what to consider when assessing top life insurance companies in terms of their policies, pricing, and extra perks.
Types of Life Insurance Policies
Life insurance policies generally fall into two broad categories: term life and permanent life insurance. Term life insurance is designed to provide coverage for a specific period, such as 10, 20, or 30 years. During this term, if the insured person passes away, the policy pays out a death benefit to the beneficiaries. Term life insurance is often appreciated for its simplicity and affordability, making it an attractive choice for those who need coverage for a finite period, like while raising children or paying off a mortgage.
Permanent life insurance offers coverage for the entire lifetime of the insured, provided that premiums are paid. This category includes whole life insurance and universal life insurance. Whole life insurance comes with fixed premiums and a guaranteed death benefit, as well as a cash value component that accumulates over time. This cash value can be borrowed against or withdrawn, offering additional financial flexibility. Universal life insurance provides greater flexibility than whole life insurance, allowing for adjustable premiums and death benefits, with a cash value component that grows based on an interest rate.
Pricing and Affordability
Pricing is a key consideration when selecting a life insurance policy. Term life insurance is generally more affordable than permanent life insurance due to its temporary nature. The premiums are usually fixed and based on factors such as age, health, and the amount of coverage needed. For individuals seeking budget-friendly options, term life insurance offers a cost-effective solution without sacrificing essential coverage.
Permanent life insurance tends to have higher premiums compared to term policies. The higher cost is attributable to the lifelong coverage and the investment component of the policy, which includes the cash value that grows over time. However, some companies offer competitive pricing on permanent policies, especially when compared to the long-term benefits and financial security they provide.
When evaluating pricing, it’s important to consider not only the initial premiums but also how they may change over time. Permanent policies might include flexible premium options, which can be beneficial if your financial situation changes. Additionally, some companies offer discounts or special rates for certain groups, such as non-smokers or those in good health, which can impact the overall cost of your policy.
Additional Perks and Benefits
In addition to the standard policy offerings, many life insurance companies provide extra perks and benefits that can add value to your coverage. These additional features can enhance your policy and offer greater flexibility to meet your specific needs. Common perks include:
Policy Riders: Riders are optional add-ons to your life insurance policy that can provide extra coverage or benefits. Common riders include accidental death benefits, which provide an additional payout if death occurs due to an accident, and critical illness coverage, which offers financial support if you are diagnosed with a serious illness. Other riders might include disability coverage or waiver of premium options, which can add significant value to your policy.
Flexible Premiums: Some permanent life insurance policies offer flexible premium payments, allowing you to adjust the amount and frequency of payments based on your financial situation. This flexibility can be beneficial if you experience changes in income or expenses.
Cash Value Accumulation: Permanent life insurance policies typically include a cash value component that grows over time. This cash value can be borrowed against or withdrawn, providing additional financial flexibility. Some companies offer competitive interest rates on the cash value, which can enhance the growth of your policy’s value.
Conversion Options: Many term life insurance policies include the option to convert to a permanent policy without undergoing a medical exam. This feature can be valuable if you want to extend your coverage beyond the term of the policy or if your health changes over time.
No-Lapse Guarantees: Some permanent life insurance policies offer no-lapse guarantees, which ensure that the policy will remain in force as long as you meet certain conditions, such as paying a minimum premium. This feature provides added security and peace of mind, knowing that your coverage will not lapse due to fluctuations in premium payments.
Customer Support and Services: Top life insurance companies often provide exceptional customer support and additional services, such as online account management, financial planning tools, and educational resources. These services can enhance your overall experience and help you make informed decisions about your coverage.
Evaluating the Best Companies
When assessing the best life insurance companies, it’s important to consider how each provider’s policies, pricing, and perks align with your needs and preferences. Comparing the various features offered by top companies can help you find a policy that provides comprehensive coverage and additional benefits. Some factors to consider include:
Policy Options: Review the types of policies offered by each company and determine which ones best meet your needs. Consider whether you prefer term or permanent life insurance and whether the company offers customizable options and riders.
Pricing: Compare the cost of premiums for different policies, including any potential discounts or special rates. Consider both the initial cost and the long-term affordability of the policy.
Perks and Benefits: Evaluate the additional features and benefits provided by each company, such as policy riders, flexible premiums, and cash value accumulation. Determine which perks are most valuable to you and how they enhance your coverage.
Financial Strength: Check the financial ratings of each company to ensure they have the stability and reliability to meet their obligations. Strong financial ratings provide assurance that the company will be able to honor its claims and commitments.
Customer Service: Consider the quality of customer service provided by each company, including responsiveness, support, and available services. Positive customer feedback and reviews can offer insights into the overall experience with the company.
Conclusion
In conclusion, selecting the best life insurance company involves a comprehensive evaluation of policies, pricing, and additional perks. Understanding the different types of policies, such as term and permanent life insurance, can help you choose the right coverage for your needs. Comparing pricing and considering factors such as flexible premiums and cash value accumulation can provide insight into the overall affordability and value of a policy. Additionally, evaluating extra perks and benefits, financial strength, and customer service can help you find a provider that offers reliable coverage and exceptional support.
By carefully considering these factors and comparing the offerings of top life insurance companies, you can make an informed decision that ensures you receive the protection and peace of mind necessary to secure your financial future and support your loved ones.
