Buck has never said in canon that he loves Chris or that he’s special to him that’s just a Bob headcanon. And buck is closer to Bobby, hen, and chimney then he is to Eddie

Hello there! I'm guessing this is in response to these tags I left on a post about Buck calling Jee the most special person and bobs getting mad about that for some reason, so here's what I said again for context:

I agree with you that Buck has deeper, more significant relationships with the rest of the 118 than he does Eddie, honestly Eddie has never been as good of a friend to Buck as the other way around imo and so I prefer his friendship with Hen, Bobby is like a father to him, and Chim is literally his brother-in-law, so! We're on the same page there!

But, I don't think it's accurate to say that Christopher being important to Buck is just a bob headcanon, trust me I avoid their side of fandom at all costs so I'm not influenced by their fic or anything, but Buck and Christopher have had a great friendship since at least season 3 outside of Christopher just being Eddie's son-one that I think is often more compelling than Buck and Eddie's friendship tbh. They care about each other and enjoy spending time together, they've been through a lot together (the tsunami, the shooting, even Eddie's breakdown), and Buck has been a trusted adult in Christopher's life even though he is definitely NOT a parental figure to him.

Just because Buck might not have said in so many words that he loves the kid, doesn't mean that's not true. If it weren't, he probably would have protested being in Eddie's will the way he is. And I mean, Buck loves kids in general, I would also say he loves the Grant and Wilson kids, they're a part of his found family, but they're not his family the way Maddie and Jee are. That's all I meant, I'm definitely not advocating for any "Buckley Diaz family" fanon bs to be clear!
