More old concept art, this one's been rolling at the back of my workshop for a bit.
You know how some humans just turn into pokemon? Not ghost types or dead pokemon, pokemon like Kadabra that are just the result of some freaky transformation? Yeah anyways grief go brr here's a design for Emmet.
I made this mostly concept on a whim for shits and giggles, but I did outline some basic stat specifics. For starters there this godawful possible learnset from google slides:
Tumblr media
wonder if there's any noticeable patterns, anyways the ability is Anger Point just because of how absolutely fucking atrocious it is. It comes from how the whole rage/aggression factor of Emmet's transformation and makes him an absolute pain to deal with once the Interpol find him.
Stat spread was originally based on pseudo-legendaries' BST but I ended up cutting down some of the numbers cause they were feeling like a bit too much. The values are weighted heavier in offensive stats and lower in defensive.
HP: 70 ATK: 150 DEF: 70 SPA: 110 SPD: 70 SPE: 100
BST: 570
Anyways hope you guys like the art, I made this concept like a month ago off of dumb idea but ended up having fun sketching a researching stuff for it. See you later ^^
Bonus doodles:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(someone from the server I'm in asked for Emmet having a treat so he's having a biscuit/stuffed donut)
also here's the gesture drawings when I was still concepting cause I think they're funny

if Ash, Peach & Indigo were starter pokemon fusions (any gen/stage but no repeating type) what would they be?
No repeating types so that knocks away the fact that each one needs to be a fire grass and water starter!
Hmmm, If i wanted to, i would say Peach is a Fire, Indigo is a Grass, and Ash is a Water type starter so we'll go from there.
(for the sake of brevity, i will remove Pikachu and Eevee from the list due to the fact that they are not common starters in my eyes.)
For Peach, i want her starter pokemon to know at least one Electric type move (whether by TM or not) so that knocks out Charizard off the gate.
Now i also want the pokemon to be fast as all get go. So that knocks out any pokemon below 90, means no Emboar(65), Incineroar(60) Skeledirge(66) and Blaziken(80). Now let's look at the balance of Sp and Atk. See if we can get any close to what i want. And the winner for that is Infernape!!
Peach is an Infernape Fusion which now knocks out Fighting from the rink!
Now Indigo isn't as fast, but he's bulky as hell. He can take a hit so we'll focus on Def and sp def. I don't want it to be even and i want to focus on the beauty of the pokemon as well. Indigo's Absol was regal but deadly, so that's a main factor as well.
Out of the rink is Chesnaught for fighting, now for beauty standards of regality and deadly, venasaur, meganium, torterra and rillaboom are out. Beautiful in their own rights but not wjat im looking for!
Like last time, anyone below a 90 in defense and sp def means they are OUT. So Sceptile (65|85), Decidueye (75|100) and Meoscarada(70|70) are out!
Indigo is now a Serperior Fusion! With a Def|SpD at (95|95)!! Serperior is pure grass so that still leaves only fighting out of the rink!
Finally Ash as a Water type.
His is harder because he needs to be pretty even all around. Sturdy, fast and a decently hard hitter. But we'll focus on Attack for him!
Because Fighting is out, Quaquaval immediately is kicked. Goodbye my flamboyant bird, i will miss you :')
Anyone under 90 ATK is out. Which means, Blastoise (83), Empoleon (86), Primarina (74) and Inteleon (85) are OUT.
Now to look at the others, i want their Attack to be above their Sp Atk, and Sp atk above 90. That being said, Greninja (95|103) and Samurott (100|108) are both OUT. And Feraligator (105|79) and Swampert (110|85) are out due to below 90 stat!
And the Winner is Hisuian Samurott!!!
I actually really like that for them XD
Peach - Infernape
Indigo - Surperior
Ash - H. Samurott

i’ve been working on my hardcore nuzlocke of firered while waiting for my friends to wake up and watch the new horizons episode with me, and i just swept sabrina with spell tag shadow ball persian lmao. only mon i had to swap out for was venomoth. incredible (charizard took it out w flamethrower and then i sacrificed a safari zone paras encounter to alakazam to get persian back in safely)
Tumblr media
my current team! i recovered from those three stupid and painful deaths 😭 lost my gyarados, future arcanine, and future alakazam, but i’m still in it…
not shown is my hypno because i’m currently spamming thief on abras w butterfree on route 25 looking for a twistedspoon, but i’m gonna be replacing hypno with tentacruel or lapras soon anyway Soooo
also i’m aware persian isn’t the best encounter and charizard isn’t the best starter for FRLG etc etc but i’m just having fun since these games are easy to nuzlocke anyway :] somehow despite playing FRLG a million times i haven’t used persian in particular ever and i really wanted to, especially when it rolled a good nature for nuzlocke standards (naive which is +spe -spd)

OKAY. I. FINALLY HAVE DONE IT. IT TOOK A LOT OF TESTING AND TROUBLE SHOOTING AND FIGURING OUT BUT I THINK I HAVE IT
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My Askr and Co. team!!!!!!! Sometimes I switch one of them out for story stuff (full immersion lmfao), but!!! It's them it's the OGs 🥺🥺🥺
Alfonse is still pretty much the same, but since the Dragon Flower limit was increased, I feel he no longer needs Fury! Which, removing it does synergize better with Florid Cane anyway, beyond the Canto gimmick (having an Atk/Spd bonus if kept healthy).
Biggest thing I needed to figure out though was who I was giving the special skills to (from an extra Acsended Mareeta and Felix). I WAS tempted to give them to Alfonse (head empty he means everything to me) but I came to the conclusion that Ruptured Sky works too well on him. I even think it's fun from a storytelling standpoint, where he's consistent almost to a fault -- can result in him being reliable, or juuust missing the mark (he's still adaptable as well though!). PLUS! Both are speed based skills, and even With my speedy Alfonse build, AND even with all those Dragon Flowers, Sharena outspeeds him at lower investment.
So it did come down to trying to decide which would work best between Sharena and Anna.
Sharena absolutely needed to be completely revised, since I realized I accidentally doubled up on Null Follow Up on her weapon and B slot (and her C slot was a wimpy Threaten skill lmfao). Ultimately I felt Felix's kit synergized better with Alfred's Arcane I gave to her -- espp Bulwark keeping her healthy! In this way I think I accidentally made her a tank. Especially with all the stat bonuses coming together, on top of a damage reduction special. Really my ONLY bit of grief here is she no longer has her special attack voicelines........... I'm SO sad about that 💔💔💔 (HOWEVER. IT. IS REALLY FUNNY.)
Tumblr media
She's just standing there..... Menacingly........... (quite literally with the Menace skill too from the Summer Dimitri manual that's up for grabs. I'm not so sure if it Suits Her storytelling-wise but tbh it's funny. GO GIRL START KILLING‼️‼️‼️)
As for Anna! I actually haven't touched Anna's build in years, she's not a unit I ever use outside of the once a month free orb and sometimes for story... last I left her was with Life or Death 3, Vantage, and a Spur skill. I wanted to keep in line with this initial build though... bc I feel like it suits her.
Outside of this one time (very early on, before I really put a lot of thought into things) I Never use Life or Death (I'm too cautious HAHAH) so I was comfortable giving her a Life or Death 4 I had laying around. BEYOND THAT. IT WAS. SUCH A NIGHTMARE. To figure out What the rest of her kit should be. A Lot of trial and error, testing, troubleshooting, everything. Because the BIGGEST THING is I wanted to keep Nóatún on her. She gets INSANE movement from it, and I felt like if I could Just Get This Right, I could pull off something as gimmicky as my Hit and Run Canto Alfonse. You have to trade SO much power for that movement, and she's already made of glass and paper the way I'm building her (but I am SO committed to this idea bc it's EXACTLY how I conceptualize her character in my mind -- strong starter, hard hitter, high movement = speedy and lots of experience on the battle field!! And SOMETHING in her C and Seal slots to communicate teamwork and commanding.)
EVENTUALLY. WHAT I THINK WORKS. Spurn helps her Not Die As Much/As Quickly (thank you damage reduction), and I think the balance between Oath/Solo skills gets the idea across.
BUT ALSO. THIS. THE MOST FUCKED UP THING I DESPERATELY WANTED TO SHOW OFF IT'S SO FUCKING GOOD!!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
LOOK at this. LOOK at how STUPID this is. How by giving Alfonse Odd Tempest HE IS. SO POWERFUL. HE MAKES A KILLER OPENING (EXACTLY AS HE ALWAYS SAYS HE WILL‼️‼️‼️). Reposition into Canto into look at him fucking go. He's fucking gone. Halfway across the battlefield. AND ANNA HAS FANTASTIC SYNERGY WITH THIS!!!!! Being able to get That One Extra Space thanks to Nóatún!!!!!!!! (Unfortunately this was a terrible matchup and she died instantly, but this is more for demonstration purposes 🫡)
I am a little sad that Sharena gets left on the back lines when this works out but. I think she's still doing her part. Esp since I'm testing out Ardent Sacrifice on her, where I typically exclusively only use Reposition and always have a healer. On top of eating hits, she also covers for her allies as well! Making sure they're okay :)
Finally! Takumi! I. Have no idea how he fits in here tbh I don't even know how Pathfinder works. But I love him so much so dearly and he's here because he's a highly respected veteran member of the Order of Heroes. Also everyone say thank you Alcryst for fucking finally giving him a usable weapon and decent skills (I have gone through SO MANY ideations of base Takumi builds and they have NEVER been on the level of stronger units he was ALWAYS WOEFULLY OUTCLASSED. Which is DEVASTATING bc I really like using base forms sometimes!!!!). I'm SO happy he's finally on par w stronger units now!!!! OH. AND. THE MAJOR THING ABOUT HIM ACTUALLY. Is once he gets the ball rolling he is procing Deadeye every fucking turn. Just like in Fates... 🥺🥺🥺 (killing and maiming and violence complete with a cheeky attitude and bravado!)

Pinned!!! 💥💥💥
Heya everyone, it’s me, NormalCD!
Twitter’s gone to shit and I’m not super feeling BlueSky, so I’ve decided to move here! Tumblr seems like it has more of my humor style and environment anyway. Nice to be here!
Brief about: She/her, polysexual polyamorous trans woman, autistic/ADHD/SPD, soulglass hedgehog shapeshifter, taken by my awesome boyfriend
I’m just gonna be mostly hangin around on here, rebloggin stuff and such. Average Tumblr things.
More info below the cut! Btw, you should also probably read this.
Brief warnings: I am loud as fuck! I use caps a lot and get hyperactive and impulsive. I’m bad at reading the room at times, if I make you uncomfortable please let me know and I’ll fix my behavior. /gen This blog is not and will never be nsfw, but I swear frequently and might make some more mature jokes from time to time since I am an adult. This blog is intended to be safe for most people to follow, but if you’d like to avoid anything I say or reblog that might toe the line, block the tag “#cd’s gettin silly”, that’s what I’ll use to tag any jokes I believe to be suggestive or potentially inappropriate, or just any post that discusses more lewd stuff in any level of detail.
Also, DNI: Queerphobes, racists, pedos/zoos/other creeps, ableists, exclusionists, drama-starters, etc. I block freely!
Sooo yeah, that’s about it! Enjoy your stay.

Platinum run initiated, and it's already been quite the ride.
Immediately got a female Turtwig. Neutral nature, but feels like pretty great defenses and Atk. Which is a shame because this is the one time I'm not using the starter.
I opted instead to pick up Wurmple, because I wanted to go Beautifly. The first one went Cascoon, so I had to get a second, which landed it, thankfully. Naive nature. It makes it frail on both sides, but the speed is exactly what I wanted.
Our second addition was Pachirisu. I really like Pachirisu's design, it's one of the only electric rodents I respect, and the anime really sold me on it too, surprisingly enough. So I opted to go for it. Let me tell you, Pachirisu...cannot deal damage for shit. It manages now, but later on I feel like this will become a problem. Impish, which kinda hurts the Discharge plan, but either its Sp Atk IVs are so good or its Atk IVs are so bad, because I think it still has higher special anyway. I do have a game plan that shouldn't rely on either offensive stat, but whatever.
Our third acquisition was supposed to be Bronzor. I had every intention of picking up Bronzor for the long-haul, but I got a Mild nature and that really just felt wrong, so I hesitated until I got to Mira's cave. Which backs us up to the actual third acquisition.
Buneary. Now, my intent was to go offensive with the elemental punches like I have in the past, but I rolled a Bold nature, which...actually caused me to set it aside, since it wasn't part of the original plan. It is now though, I just need to get it where it's going. And part of where it's going is to contestant #4.
Ralts. Yes yes, I run Gardevoir all the time, I get it. But I haven't in Platinum. I usually try to go Gallade if I pick up Ralts. But now we're sticking to Garde, Who rolled Sassy, a nature that initially filled me with absolute despair. Sp Def is good on Garde, but she hardly needs more than what she has by default, and the cut to Spd really hurts. But, well, I was looking for a Dual Screens user, and Noctowl didn't really fit the party (type overlap with Beautifly). But now I'm not thinking of Dual Screens at all. I have something funnier in mind, courtesy of my Emerald run.
My last two intended partners are Flareon and Octillery. I really wanted to run Octillery in general through all this, but Johto is awful for it, being postgame locked in HGSS, and unavailable in Crystal. So we're trying it out in Platinum, where I think I'll be able to make something hilarious. I dropped my first-even main game run of Porygon-Z to pull this one off, but I have total confidence in the shenanigans.

Generation IX Pokemon Nicknames, Part 1
All this about Scarlet made me want to take a look at all the Generation IX Pokemon, their stats, and what nicknames I would give them if I ever raised one.
... Believe it or not, but Yakuza 8 is the biggest reason why I suddenly got into a Pokemon mood, hence the Crystal version run recently.
Tumblr media
Yakuza 7 introduced the Sujimon joke, but only had the Sujimon professor and the Sujidex. But 8 actually has the Sujimon types, Sujimon League, the Discreet Four, actual battles, and a reference to how messed up everything is. "Your Blaze type Sujimon damages an enemy, hoping desperately to gain your approval."
So anyways, here goes. ... I doubt I'll have that many more Starcraft references for these nicknames, since I almost got every unit already.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
A Grass type jester that blows up its flowers? Hmm... Maybe "Hwatan"? A pun using Korean-hanja term for garden "hwadan", but "tan" for bullet/bomb.
Tumblr media
A Fire Spanish-death-festival gator... I don't know. Well, not all can get a nickname from me, and I ran out of fire-based units from Starcraft.
Tumblr media
Can't get away from these Fighting type starters... "Duck Quixote". ... At least it used to be a duck. Kind of looks like Keldeo in a way.
Tumblr media
I would never make these, so no nickname.
Tumblr media
So this is the evolution form of that thing Scarlet has. Its stats are horrendous, so I would never make this thing.
Tumblr media
Kind of looks like a robotic bug. "Mechahopper"!
Tumblr media
The hell is this thing? Kind of looks like a merge of a Raichu and... er... that thing that evolves into Hariyama in Generation III. (Looking it up) Ah, Makuhita. I don't remember that name at all. Hmm... I guess I'd call this thing a "Makuchu".
Tumblr media
What kind of rodent gives birth to one offspring at a time? This thing has Spd but nothing else (suitably) so... I would not make one. If I did, I'd call it "Ratpack".
Tumblr media
A dog made of buns. ... "Hotdog"?
Tumblr media
An olive tree... Grass/Normal? They're giving away Normal typing to things that aren't typeless? Well, this is an olive tree, so I'd probably call it "Olive Tree" because I don't really care for this thing.
Tumblr media
This thing reminds me of Chatot for some reason. ... Does this bird have like a mullet? ... I don't know.
Tumblr media
That's a Minecraft mob if I've ever seen one. And "nacl", so... sodium chloride. So it's a block of salt, huh? Hmm... I'd call this thing "Widow Mine". Or "Spider Mine", if I make a second one. Because one, Minecraft, and two, both are Terran units. Spider Mine, the very explosive mine that Terran Vultures lay in Starcraft, and Widow Mine, the very explosive Terran unit in Starcraft 2. And everyone knows that the saltiest players in existence are Terran players.
Tumblr media
Huh, that's pretty cool. One got the armor upgrade, the other got the weapons upgrade. Ceruledge looks like a Protoss Centurion from the Legacy of the Void campaign. I might call both as "Forge". Protoss Forge, the structure where you can get Ground Weapons, Ground Armor, and Plasma Shields upgrades. And unlike the other races, Protoss usually only makes 1 Forge, so you can't get Weapons and Armor upgrades at the same time.
Tumblr media
... ??? This thing looks like a lot of things. An old fashioned alarm clock, a target, and it looks like it has a record on its belly. Well, since it looks like it has a disc of some sorts on its belly, I guess I'd call it "D Drive"? If it looked like a floppy disc on its belly, then it would've been the "A Drive".
Tumblr media
Another Electric type. Given its typing and Ability... "Turbine".
Tumblr media
"Guard Dog" because... well... duh.
Tumblr media
What the hell is that thing... A toxic monkey, eh? Hmm... sounds like the average commenter on Starcraft Reddit and Blizzard forums... Probably another Diamond League Terran. Hmm... I don't know.
Tumblr media
Turns out this town really wasn't big enough for both of them. I'd call it "Desperado", the gunslinger job in Yakuza 8.
Tumblr media
Huh. Tentacruel, but fungus edition. ... "Shroom City". It's my GlitchCity the Tentacruel but... mushroom.
Tumblr media
... Did its name get cut off, or does it just end like that? It looks like a Krabby for obvious reasons, so... "Klabby".
Tumblr media
A Grass/Fire? That's new. Looks like a green bell pepper and a red one for its heads. ... I mean, this thing has to be called "FRLG".
Tumblr media
The scarab that rolls excrements has somehow turned it into a ball of psychic energy? My super creative nickname will take its two syllables and rearrange them to get "Scarab". Unfortunately it doesn't learn Explosion so it's not a Protoss Reaver's exploding Scarab.
Tumblr media
A Psychic type ostrich? Or is it a turkey? If it's a turkey, I'll call it "Nugget", the "turkey" that you win in Yakuza 0 for bowling a turkey. A turkey for a turkey, except you don't get a cooked turkey dinner, but instead, a live chicken. "It's a lot more... fresher than I thought it'd be!"
Tumblr media
A Pokemon Minecraft player? "Minemon".
Tumblr media
... I... don't know.
Tumblr media
Zero to Hero, Chump to Champ. I might call this thing as "Queen", the Starcraft 1 pro formerly known as Zero. He won 2 ASLs in a row (season 9 and 10) and was lauded as the possibly best player after Flash, but then... he failed to even qualify for ASL season 17 that starts in a few days. And now he's being viciously torn apart (verbally) by other pros in team leagues. From chump to champ to back to a "chump". ... I mean, he'd still definitely steamroll someone like me while drunk out of his mind and only playing with a mouse while off-racing...
Tumblr media
Is that a vacuum cleaner Pokemon? ... Oh, it's like a motor cycle of sorts? ... Screw it. It's a vacuum cleaner to me. I will call it "Sojimaru", the city-wide vacuum cleaning robot made by Dr. Okita in Yakuza 7 and 8, that even sucks up social trash in Yakuza 8! Obvious reference to Okita Soji, the Majima of Yakuza Ishin.
Tumblr media
A motorcycle... lizard? Now that's a "Ride Pokemon" if I've ever seen one.
Tumblr media
A Steel type worm. ... I will call it "Metalworm", the Sujimon in Yakuza 8 which is basically a dude wrapped up in a sleeping bag made of steel, which resists every single attack type.
And... it seems there's an image limit now, so I'll have to do the rest in the next post.

Hiya, name’s Astra. Astra Hoshi. Apparently means “of the stars”. Somehow related to my birth? Anyway:
pronouns? She/her
gender? Weird, but not trans
hometown? Fortree
current town? Snowpoint
starter? Swampert, Axolotl (Axel), he/him
other mons? Swinub, Fractal, he/him, and gible, Chomps, she/her
family? Two parents and adopted sister Stella (14 now), still in Hoenn
age? 21
sexuality? Hard no: aroace. QPRs maybe
rotophone? Yes, Sparks
{{hello, is me. i don’t use caps and may occasionally translate for astra if she loses human language. wait, you didn’t mention that part yet. astra, how can i be a good service rotom if you won’t let me tell people what i do? do you expect me to just not tell anyone why i’m transcribing for you? it’s the internet, it’s not obvious like it is in person!}}
Oh, right, the weird ones:
species? Absol hybrid
hybridization? Truly unclear, adopted
absol traits? Danger sense, little horns and fangs, pokespeech, skin/hair/eye colors, reflective pupils
mega evolution? Can. Hurts. Rather not again
danger sense? Wildly inaccurate
pokespeech? Easier than human
other effects? Autism, SPD, ADHD… six senses are harder than five
Here’s me and my sister, before I moved out. I’m told my appearance is unsettling, so apologies.
Tumblr media
//ooc notes start here. First things first, this blog has nothing to do with wishmaker-astra, though I love the blog very much. Original post on that one here:
Interaction notes, because Astra seems really overpowered without clarification:
Pelipper mail, its variations, and magic anons can be avoided if I don’t want to deal with it. IC, Astra knows protect and she will use it if her danger sense directs her.
To avoid her being overpowered, Astra’s danger sense is extremely fallible. She can fairly easily sense something immediately dangerous to her, but not what it is, which is why protect is her immediate reaction. Danger towards others is harder, and she needs to concentrate to tell who is the target. The gods and their chosens or hosts are hidden from her, along with magic anons, though their effects are not. For example, if Rayquaza tried to hit her with dragon ascent, she’d get hit, but if Rayquaza picked up a boulder and dropped it on her head, she’d sense the boulder. Her need for focus with danger towards others is a catch-all way for her to have not seen something coming. She can also be overwhelmed by her danger sense if too many people will be affected by the same thing (this is why she left hoenn).
Most importantly, this blog follows shinxverse rules (with permission). The two most important things from that are that A) the gods are uncommonly active in their regions and B) accidental hybridization via rituals/god powers is a thing that just happens sometimes. If still confused, she basically came from ORAS Hoenn but if the legendaries and mythicals were both active and unpredictable.
Now, lore notes:
Astra’s hybridization comes from her parents accidentally wishing on a jirachi while struggling with infertility, and jirachi made her wrong. There is no angst here, the hybridization itself is hard on her but its circumstances if discovered are no-stakes. Her parents are also good people, their relationship with her tops out at drama-stakes.
Astra has no link to jirachi, though this can change with blog interactions. Thus far jirachi made her, stuck her in fortree, and forgot about her.
Astra and her family worship jirachi, which led to the accidental wish. Their religion is highly spiritual and frowns upon proselytization.
Astra is wildly autistic because of the absol stuff. Humans can’t naturally deal with the extra absol senses, so she got autism, and her words come out easier in pokespeech.
Trigger warning time:
Of course, this is an rp blog, everything here is unreality. As such, it will not tag unreality unless there is ic unreality occurring to allow everyone to participate. Otherwise, this blog may contain mentioned ableism, mental illness, panic attacks, fantasy religion, and some body dysmorphia. Always ask to tag: will follow the format of “tw ______”. It will not contain suicidal thoughts, religions resembling real major religions, intentional parental abuse (meaning the worst case is saying something they don’t mean while angry), or anything remotely sexual (mun and muse are both sex-repulsed aroace). These topics may appear occasionally from reblogs or enter my inbox in asks, but never come from Astra or absol-lutely. Character arcs that I expect to have trigger warnings will have a character arc post noting these things beforehand. If there’s something you need me to tag, let me know. Astra is generally low- to medium- stakes for any of her own posts, but may participate in other characters’ high-stakes events.

ok here's my favourite pokemon. it should be complete bc I looked very throroughly through my book :] sorry it took so long, hope it's good!
Marshtomp Swampert Mudkip Aron & Lairon & Aggron Araquanid Rotom Incineroar Galvantula Quagsire Froslass Flygon Porygon(2) Ditto Wooper Wobbuffet Relicanth Reuniclus
Mudkip is my fave starter from Hoenn she's literally perfect though I don't care too much for swampert it just doesn't read as a mudskipper anymore.
Aron and Lairon are beautiful little bugs and I like Aggron cause I like pokemon that look like kaiju.
Araquanid is a little out of my realm cause I stopped paying very much attention to Pokemon after Unova but it is cute and I definitely agree that it's far superior to Dewpider.
Rotom is a perv soo that's pretty cool and also michaelwave
Incineroar I really prefer the rest of its family I don't really like big macho characters unless they're really funny about it (like another buff pokemon Buzzwole or real life pro wrestling)
Galvantula is awesome and I love just how fuzzy it is, I know I would be so so scared of it irl but in the pokemon world im not sure if i would even have arachnaphobia. Hey. Do you think people in the pokemon world get pokephobia. How the fuck do they live with that it's like being afraid of breathing air.
Quagsire/wooper is BABY BOY and clodsire is my fuckingprecious
Froslass is really pretty and I kinda wish I could cosplay her, though I also wish that there were male froslass!
Flygon is like in my mind right now I have been obsessed with flygon for the past like two weeks because that pokemon carried me through almost my entire White 2 playthrough like from Nimbasa to post-game I used almost exclusively Flygon, really good stats and levitate is nice but the real killer was the diversity of move types that I was able to get and stick with. Its name is ANT.
Porygon2 is a rubber ducky and I like rubber ducky but i don't have strong feelings about this one, i think having a real rubber ducky in the shape of porygon2 would be really cute though
I like Ditto. :)
Wobbuffet is a really old favourite of mine cause I liked Jessie's wobbuffet in the anime as a kid
Relicanth is AWESOME and i love it and the fish its based on cause I love the way it combines the real fish and the *legend* of the fish, like, same goes for the fish too, its literally a modern legend. I wish relicanth was actually a mythical or legendary pokemon.
Reuniclus kinda sticks out in my head a lot because not too long ago my friends were asking me if i would fuck the solosis family and I said yeah. I've never used them cause I don't prioritise psychic types in my party but they are a really fun concept.
Very solid picks this belies really good taste in Pokemon but lets look at the stats
Water: 4 Ground: 3 Rock: 2 Bug: 2 Electric: 2 Ghost: 2 Normal: 2 Psychic: 2 Steel: 1 Fire: 1 Dark: 1 Ice: 1 Dragon: 1
You have a favourite in 13/18 or 72% of all types (except ???) and a slight proclivity towards water and ground type pokemon.
Now let's look at stat totals, as of generation 9.
They're in here in alphabetical order.
THE BIG GIRL TABLE

Permafrost Plains: Level 1
Welcome to Permafrost Plains, AKA Frost Queen Cookie’s Trial Grounds. Here, you’ll find the ingredients to make Frost Queen Cookie’s Crystal Jam. Seems simple enough and worthwhile due to all the content creators currently raving how she’s now back in the meta, but you’ll have to go the long way first if you’re not going to buy your way in. But since this is level one, we should probably go over the gimmicks you’ll see here.
Allied Ice-type Damage +40.0%
Crystalline Radiance: Cookies and their summons will have a penalty freeze gauge that fills up when attacking or being attacked by specific enemies. When the gauge fills up, they will instantly Freeze. The post-Freeze damage is applied as a percentage of their max HP and increases with each repeating cycle. Whether Frost Queen Cookie has resistance or immunity from the freeze gauge is unknown to me right now, but I’ll find out eventually.
Allied Healing/Shields -65%
Enemy Debuff Resist/ATK SPD +40%
Cookie levels below 70 will be defaulted to 70
Frost Queen Cookie and her Rally Effect are required. If you don’t have Frost Queen Cookie, you can play with her at level 70.
Level Tip: Team level 70
First Win Rewards: 12x Frost Queen Cookie’s Life Jewels, 30x Arcane Crystals
Standard Rewards: 10x Topping Pieces, 2,020 Coins
Tumblr media
Wave 1: 3 x 2 groups of Licorice Cake Hounds
Wave 2: 4 Licorice Cake Hounds, 2 Frost Spirits
Because this is intended to be a starter area to gather resources for the Crystal Jam, this level isn’t gonna be too hard. Just remember what you went through in the Dark Cacao Kingdom (if you’ve been there for World Exploration) and you’ll be fine. The only thing here is that the enemies will fill your freeze gauge with each hit. In exchange, these enemies don’t have freeze immunity, so feel free to use Frost Queen Cookie’s skill as you would normally (when the Frost Spirits aren’t silencing her).

#004: Flammouse
Fire Type
Abilities: Blaze/Rattled/Illuminate (Hidden)
BST: 315
HP: 40
ATK: 45
DEF: 30
S. ATK: 65
S. DEF: 50
SPD: 75
Flammouse were first discovered in the Kalos region, but were quickly driven out due to being seen as pests. Now, they reside as local starter Pokémon of the Tereco region, and are much more widely accepted.
Flammouse are a very skittish Pokémon, using their small stature and high agility to evade predators and find food scraps. They use their flames to cook their food, as well as mark their territory by burning symbols into the walls. Every Flammouse colony seem to have their own family emblem, and opposing colonies are able to identify other emblems and stay away from those areas.
Flammouse have a unique pouch on their stomach that they use to carry food and whatever shiny trinkets they find. These Pokémon are natural-born thieves and will take anything that glimmers in their firelight, using it to inspire their next impromptu art piece.
Flammouse evolves into [[???]] at level 15, which evolves into [[???]] at level 32.

LV electrical switchgear Dubai UAE
LV (Low Voltage) Electrical Switchgear refers to a set of equipment used for controlling, protecting, and managing the flow of electricity in low-voltage power distribution systems. These switchgear are designed to operate at voltages ranging from 1 kV to 1000 V AC or DC. The LV switchgear plays an essential role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of electrical installations by providing protection against various faults such as overload, short circuits, earth leakage, and lightning surges. Some common types of LV switchgear include:
Circuit breakers: Used to protect circuits against overloads, short circuits, and other abnormal conditions by automatically interrupting the current flowing through them.
Contactors: Used to control motor starters, lighting panels, and other low-voltage loads by making and breaking contact under normal operating conditions.
Residual Current Devices (RCD): Also known as Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI), RCDs provide protection against electric shocks caused by Earth Leakage Current (ELC).
Surge Protection Devices (SPDs): Protect sensitive electronic devices against transient surges induced by lightning strikes or switching operations. The design and selection of LV electrical switchgear depend on several factors like application, environment, and specific requirements. For instance, outdoor applications require weatherproof enclosures while industrial environments demand robust construction for high mechanical stresses. Proper installation, commissioning, maintenance, and testing practices are also crucial to ensure optimal performance and safety of LV switchgear over their service life. Overall, LV switchgear is an integral part of modern electrical infrastructure that enhances reliability, efficiency, and safety in both residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

My wife's on the controller again, and that means it's time for Thoughts Part 2. Much like the first time through, I'll be doing mechanics post first, then the rest. Unfortunately for this game, I stopped playing at a bad time to be in a good mood for this.
Nexomon Extinction, at least mechanically, does not feel super distinct from say, Pokemon. A lot of this feels much more similar than its initial game, due to changes around status, type matchup, etc. It's a very fun experience, but it feels like it lost a bit of its identity when they tossed aside full recovery on level up, super easy levels, no level cap, broken as hell status, etc.
Nothing has significantly changed between the first post and now. I still feel all of that is very relevant and true. Mechanically, the game would not feel out of place alongside the GBA/DS era of Pokemon. Which is my favorite era, so like...I'm having fun.
That said, my initial assertions do seem slightly unfair in retrospect. The crux of it was that the game incentivizes just using your biggest attack regardless of type matchup, and that's the best way to win. This...still kinda holds true. Type matchup feels more extreme as numbers go up, though, and new options are introduced. And this is the crux of what I'll be talking about today.
The single best Nexomon I had this entire run was Zappnic. A common, and a bee, with below average stats. Because it has a buff that stacks three times, boosting Atk, Def, and Spd 30%. Once you've boosted three times, you can use pretty much anything and secure a 2HKO. It learns the best electric move in the game, EMP, which pretty much always goes first despite the low speed penalty because of how buffed your stats are. It even blows through resists because Sonic Scream can inflict sleep, and is a nice neutral. Also the Def boost means it isn't threatened by attacks. But if something does kinda muscle through a bit, it also has a heal. I used this thing to basically clear nearly the entire endgame. It beat every form of Vados. Its only limitation is Stamina, which it cuts through pretty sharply. But recovery items can solve that.
Stall exists, and it fucks severely and often. One of my Nexomon, Floreina, has Green Sphere, which recovers 30% HP and Stamina on the next turn. Provided she isn't weak to the opponent, this becomes a perfect back and forth play, keeping her alive effectively forever. Stamina is no consideration. She just has to be able to actually take the hits being thrown out, which is sometimes questionable. But god what a fun set, that completely lacks the weakness of the bee. She swept most of the Grandmaster trial because she didn't need to worry about heal items, and had a good matchup against everyone but the fire tamer.
As a smaller, in-between scale, Horget wound up being a lot of fun too. Psychic Dragon had access to a move that buffed Atk 25%, and Renovate, which acts like Rest in Pokemon, but instead of two turns it's one. "But it says two?" Yeah but it counts the turn you use it, so it's hilariously strong. Horget's weakness, however, was its moves. It doesn't learn anything above base 90 power, so the tremendous buff move is offset by lower base power and less than impressive stats. Horget wound up being incredibly consistent, but falling off just a little bit due to these issues.
By comparison, other options were adequate to really frustrating depending on their utility. Felclaw should have been a Horget-esque entity with a 25% buff, but only to elemental damage so its neutral never took off, was plagued by similar limitations on base move damage, and did not have healing. Yarnesty was a solid starter, good wind-type damage output, but it lacked anything technical and so was a good counter to stuff weak to it, but little else. Greben was the saddest case, designed for defensive play but its only buff was a 40% boost to crit rate, which isn't super consistent to begin with, in exchange for cutting defense 20%. Her base effects weren't worth it, and status isn't really strong enough to justify being your pull. Even Phantra, who I expected to love, wound up feeling worse off than Folicurse, because Folicurse got access to the strongest Ghost move while Phantra didn't.
All this to say: Nexomon Extinction has a lot more dynamic play than initially expected, but largely relegated to a handful of options. What those options are isn't based on your rarity anymore, but it's also unclear when anything is set for success. The strongest option I had being a common, while multiple Mega Rares didn't hold up, is a bit bizarre. I don't strictly mind this, but lack of variability hurts. Basically, I yearn for some level of control over learnsets. I think it would really expand options.
On the subject of learnsets, types feel a lot more...imbalanced. Maybe it's just the ones I had access to, but postgame, I think seeing what the children of Omnicron can do and have access to points out the flaws. Specifically, they all have access to the best traits. So Luxa has access to the Bee Sweep combo (but with no healing), and Nara has access to the Floreina sustain combo, etc. All of them pack a solid neutral attack, and seem to have some form of buff, with Fone and Arqua having 25% Atk. But then there's Ventra. Who has...speed boosting, I guess? A move that lasts a few turns and gives only a 40% chance to ignore defense with Wind attacks? It's not like there's nothing, but it's a far cry from the consistent and powerful buffs that others seem to receive. The whole type feels like that.
This should logically be for the postgame wrapup, but I'm mentioning it now because it's fresh. I hate roaming legends. I hate them. The first Nexomon game, I didn't like the system much, but only because I had no control over which child was showing up and they respawned. Also that if you didn't find them in two encounters they disappeared from the map. The point is it was annoying, but you could manage, because the game had a radar that told you when something was close. That doesn't happen here. There is no warning or notice, and you will spend over an hour on the worst fucking encounter rate of your life, just trying to find these goddamned things. I spent FOUR HOURS today looking for Tyrants. I found two. Out of nine. That's fucking inexcusable. There is no reason for it to be this bad. To make matters worse, it sounds like the Abyssals aren't static fights. They also get relegated to random encounters in the grass. Which is probably the worst thing I've ever heard! Literally dozens of these low-spawn encounters! I don't think I'm finishing the Database this time. This is way, way too frustrating for no reward.
