October 22, 2023: We went out to another beach way out the road, and the younger beasts saw a seal. Little Flower was drooling at it (?).

I was gifted a set of CHX 30049 Chessex Lab Dice by Mother Goat, if I remember right, and Spazz Master wasn't exactly enthusiastic about my playing with them.

September 24, 2023: We went out to, I believe it was 40100 Road? I had the wrong shoes entirely for jumping around in the water, so I did have less fun than the beasts.

July 9, 2023: I think I'd hit a depressive funk about then, because I don't remember any of these pictures. However, if you somehow end up on any lake trails during summer, wear long sleeves and/or bugscreen. Your skin will thank you.

Jube 23, 2023: Younger Soot was avoiding the dog, I think, and his sister Stress Tiger had calmed down kong enough for pettings.

June 4, 2023: We took the dogs to Man Made Hole again, and it had been raining for I want to say a solid 12 hours before? It was still raining during the walk, too. There's a few more photos from that walk, but I liked these ones most.

These were taken at a pretty cool spot way out the road on June 3, 2023. I don't remember where it is, though, so, I guess friendly reminder to explore your local wilderness (mindfully and with caution!!) because you never know what you'll find.

Take only memories, leave nothing but footprints.

These were taken on May 29, 2023, but I cannot for the life of me remember why I wasn't at work that Monday. I'd just gotten a cassette player and cassette of my own then, though, so it was a pretty solid morning.

I don't really remember the context behind these pictures, but First Son had been particularly wiggly, abd I thought that was cute. The cats weren't as into it, though. I think Elder Soot was trying to ignore Younger Soot and he wasn't having it.

The first beasts, Little Flower and First Son. This was taken early 2023, after I moved into my current apartment. Their mother, Cherry Mother, was sleeping right next to the tailgate while we were waiting for Father Goat to get in.

About Me, I Guess?

I've been on tumblr since about late 2012 under a number of different usernames. I'm not planning on posting too much about my IRL life, but what I do post I'll tag with #outsidethecave, and my personal thoughts and ramblings will be tagged under #elderspawnscrawls. Things that occur in the real world will be tagged either #globalevents, #americanevents, or #alaskaevents based on where in the world or how closely they may impact me as a singular entity. Don't expect me to have any commentary until I've educated myself on the subject further, please.

There will, of course, be pictures of my family's beasts, tagged #spawnedcompanions.

I do have diagnosed ADHD, so that might be a main theme on here more so I have something to reference back to if I forget a basic function of being human tagged #adhd and probably #elderspawnadhd, depending on how specific it is to me. If I have other peculiarities that get diagnosed, they'll follow the same format. I have a friend who suffers from chronic health disorders, so they have their own tag under #valleyman where I plan to reblog/post things that might help them or people like them.

I am trying to learn as many different languages as I can, including American Sign Language, Spanish, Norwegian, and Russian (based on the languages being spoken around me currently), so I will be tagging my efforts and questions under #elderspawnwhispers. If anyone is willing to help with the writing part or has resources I can borrow, please let me know!

My interests do tend to change from time to time, but I do have a long-standing interest in The Elder Scrolls, Fallen London, FromSoftware games, and farming games in general. Once I get to a skill level I like in my digital art skills, I'll start posting doodles under those tags and #elderspawnsketches. I'm also a fan of The Lord of The Rings, Teen Titans, Moon Knight, Skulduggery Pleasant, Ranger's Apprentice, and a few other books and comics I can't quite remember off the top of my head. There may or may not be ramblings for those. Lastly, I can't say I'm a fan of any specific music, but I do particularly love Abney Park, Souxsie and the Banshees, The Dead Kennedys, Stevie Nicks, and Evanescence. I'd love to get recommendations for other music.

I do additionally have an interest in making my own game and/or book series and I have the bare bones planned out, but consistent details keep evading me. Once I get the blog built for that specific interest, I'll come back to this post and discuss it more in this paragraph.

That's about all I can think of about myself, but do please be kind to each other and yourselves on my posts. If you can't maintain basic conduct, expect to be blocked.

PS: speaking as someone with intense seasonal affective disorder due to the daylight hours here in Alaska, seasonal affective disorder is a Bitch(TM) and it'll be obvious in the tone of my posts. If you feel at all like you can't keep going on with life and can't trace it back to any reason why, please find someone you can speak to about it, be it a friend, a parent, a sibling, a teacher, coworker, or boss. If you have a therapist you see on a regular basis, absolutely let them know how you feel, but please prioritize the social connections you don't need to pay for, especially in America.
