Garak shows so much to him in so many tiny ways. Julian is in awe every time want flickers across Garak's face, when his claws dig just a little too deep, the way his tail will briefly caress him as he passes by - all of these so subtle, so easily missed, but they heat Julian like nothing ever has.

OKAY SO GARAK TRIES TO BLOW UP THE PLANET JULIAN IS ON BUT DO ANY OF US ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT HE COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT IF HE REALLY WANTED TO? He was sloppy and got caught ON PURPOSE because he HAD to try to save Cardassia, but he COULD NOT KILL JULIAN. His brain was full of klaxons screaming

JULIAN! CARDASSIA! JULIAN! CARDASSIA! JULIAN! CARDASSIA! JULIAN! CARDASSIA! JULIAN! CARDASSIA! JULIAN!

And he was so conflicted that he could not mentally access his training to pull it off, and I'll tell you -

He was so grateful Worf was there to take control. He knew he'd lose in a real fight against Worf and Worf would save Julian, and from that moment, he was peaceful. Six months in the brig? Cakewalk. Julian is out there, walking and laughing and honest and pure (and Garak really wants to change that last bit. Silver lining: he's.got time to plan). After a week, Julian's friends come to visit, as if they don't know that he tried to commit genocide and kill Julian. Jadzia finally takes pity on him (and it's not pity as much as it is torment - positive and wonderful and hope-filled) and tells him that Julian would not let them leave the table until they truly understood that Garak's actions were driven by brainwashing, not malice, and being that Garak walked knowingly into the explosion of blowing up his own shop, didn't they all agree that Garak could have destroyed the planet if he'd really wanted to? Didn't his lack of success say more about his lack of desire than Worf's presence? (Apparently Kira was a hard sell, but she eventually gave in while still glaring.) And, as it turned out, the Doctor's logical and impassioned argument is why he got only six months in the brig instead of a lifetime (the man's oral skills and persistance are something Garak hopes to explore more fully in the future).

Dear Monday: I wish you were a holiday all year long, so that we can recover from the weekend full of walks and playgrounds. May this life of motherhood be as wonderful as it is now, but not so exhausting!. Being 19.44 hrs. I just did a stop for a moment to upload a photo and show my fellow followers how wonderful it can become a weekend touring the passages of a city that I always love everytime we go. Amersfoort has its charm on every corner, full of nature and intact medieval architecture, that is what I want to highlight from #Holland (#Netherlands). There are other countries that live by leaving down buildings with old antiques for other modern ones and it takes away that charm that enchants in photography. Holland persists thanks to its ancient architecture and which they maintain, care for and restore without erasing their history and brilliance beauty. // Querido día lunes: desearía que fueras feriado todo el año para que uno se pueda reponer del fin de semana lleno de paseos y caminatas. Que esta vida de maternidad sea tan maravillosa siempre tal como ahora, pero no tan agotadora!. Siendo 19.44 hrs. me detengo un momento para subir una foto y mostrarles lo maravilloso que puede llegar a ser un fin de semana recorriendo los pasajes de una ciudad que siempre me encanta las veces que vamos. Amersfoort tiene su encanto en cada esquina, lleno de naturaleza y arquitectura medieval intacta, eso quiero destacar de Holanda. Hay otros países que viven dejando abajo edificios con añazos de antigüedad por otros modernos y le quita ese encanto que encanta en la fotografía.
