Castiel isn’t sure what made him say yes to Lucifer. He honestly can’t give you one straight answer. Maybe it’s because he realized that he always will be just a tool, just “helpful” to the Winchester’s in getting information they need to save their lives, and forgetting his.

Maybe it’s the fact that the other Angels were right and he isn’t loved or needed, that he truly is hated and not accepted anywhere; not on heaven, not on earth.

And maybe, just maybe it’s that fact that no matter what the Winchester’s will always choose each other, and never him. That he will always be put on the back burner, left to burn and suffer alone while the two of them cling onto each other for dear life.

And maybe it’s the fact that no matter what, Castiel will always love the winchester’s. They will always have a special place in his heart and he will forever and always be happy to burn out and bleed for the Winchester’s.
