I was looking at the graphs, and I noticed that the top romantic ship was merthur, at 75 fics. the second ship is at 44

So I did the obvious thing, and added the ship wordcount to the graph, so that the count can't be padded with oneshots and it actually shows that time read.

re:taki im really curious about tomori's view of taki... they live near each other and go home from practice together but tomori walks away from taki several times, especially when taki is trying (but failing) to make tomori feel better. does tomori see taki's big shows of defending her as just that, big shows? because it doesnt seem like tomori takes any of her words to heart. does she remember when taki got up in arms when saki left? did tomori notice that taki only latched on to her after their first live, and remembers her ability to be cruel even to tomori herself? but taki also had other moments of guiding tomori, like at karaoke? maybe she's just not reaching tomori in a way that really helps??

we know taki has a complex about her sister but id love to see more of how it bleeds into her and tomori's dynamic :^3 her struggles as mygo composer are already <33

Ah this really brings me back to when it was airing and everyone was also discussing how horrible of a person Soyo was. And she absolutely is ofc she manipulated a bunch of people with the intent of kicking 2 of them to the curb. But I think the forgiveness or at least understanding from people makes sense with it being revealed that the girl who's clinging to the imagined past also had that past be the one fun period in her life after her parents divorce. "I let that good thing slip away and now I'm miserable so I can't let this good thing slip away again at all costs" which is obviously a pretty childish way of thinking about it, but hey she's 15.

Also I think the paralel with Tomori helps, they went about it in extremely different ways with Soyo's being a manipulative mess but Tomori having suffered the pain of Crychic's breakup is totally unwilling to let go of MyGO in any capacity and while pretty much any other group would just dissipate the band or get a new bassist (like Taki tried.) Tomori insists on those 5 because of her hangups with Crychic mirror Soyo's insistence on how it has to be the 5 from Crychic. Obviously she doesn't have the trying to revive the idealized past aspect but she sure as hell did insist on those members specifically even after the band was already broken up for a couple weeks.

Also side note but I thought Tomori was considered the protag? Sure we get Ano-vision for eps 1 and 2 but Tomori has center billing on all promo material and is mostly the PoV for the rest of the show.

And I do think Anon does get a bit more after ep 5, specifically when she gets pulled back into the band and goes to try and pull Soyo back, because I sure as hell don't think ep 5 Anon who'd ran away from basic criticisms not an hour earlier would be able to go do that to the girl who'd manipulated and planned to throw her away, even with the Tomori aquarium talk experience. So there's still some growth shown there on her ability to face these kinds of things it's just Soyo centered like a lot of the last half.

And that's probably also part of why AnSy is such a popular ship, it's the final part of Anon's growth we see, while also being the start of dragging Soyo kicking and screaming back into the band. Until Anon literally drags her back on stage and does that gay hair thing. It's also them both being the only 2 in MyGO who can mask for shit and consequently being the two who use masking as a weapon that manages to hurt everyone involved including themselves which is why the convo in Soyo's place where they both finally are genuine with eachother about how they fucking suck fueled the ship so hard, they've just got neat paralels and people like toxic yuri.

There's three things I have to explain about my experience with bandori mygo

I was immediately fascinated by chihaya anon. She's very stupid and annoying and it was hilarious feeling myself flip from wanting to kill her for that reason to wanting to protect her for the same reason in real time. Episode five was a revelation so it's unfortunate that nothing more about her was revealed or changed past that point in the show

I was immediately suspicious of nagasaki soyo. Her goal from the start is a retreat into an imaginary past, her interactions with anon coming off as almost blatantly manipulative after seeing anon clumsily attempt similar things in the first episode. I despised her, in time, as the show no doubt intended, but I couldn't forgive her in the end when I never liked her to begin with. I think I just have too much hate in my heart already to cope with these characters that are designed to piss you off only to draw back the curtain to reveal how sympathetic they are. I feel like charlie brown trying to kick the football but the football is soyo's head

I was immediately enthused by takatsuki tomori. She's so adorable and sincere and caring, her experience is depicted so lovingly through POV scenes, her lyrics resonant with her personal struggles, her efforts to keep reaching out to others even when she was alone a testament to her heart. It really makes me wonder why she wasn't the protagonist when she was the literal and emotional center of both bands in the story

The show asks this question of whether the band is new or just an attempt to replace an old one and I find myself terribly uninterested in it. Sakiko quitting didn't end the first band any more than anon starting created a new one because tomori is still there. Anon begins peripheral to ancient friend group drama and only manages to penetrate somewhat via tomori, the only character actually trying to tear walls down rather than put them up

Tomori and anon do so much for each other in episode five which makes it stand out all the more that soyo does nothing for anyone and the only thing anyone really does for her is dragging her forcibly back into the band

All this to say I was truly and genuinely waiting for the part in the second half of the show that would justify all the ansy shipping I've seen and it just genuinely never came

mutsumi is definitely not okay

hey i'm back with another analysis. let's do this a weekly thing after each episode where I hyperfocus on a specific aspect of it.

Today's focus is on mutsumi and the fact that she did not catch a single break. From the start, the worst thing happened to her: her mask is broken, she cannot hide anymore. The identity of mortis is gone, all that's left is comedian Wakaba and Minami Mori's daughter. We clearly see the panic and anxiety slowly building up from this point on.

second comes soyo's anger. We start off the scene with the withered cucumber plant. The cucumber plant that mutsumi is proud of as her own work. It is important to note that soyo had been helping her tend to the plants. In episode 12 of MyGO, soyo giving back the cucumber can be interpreted as her rejecting any form of friendship with mutsu. The withered plant this episode can also symbolise two things: soyo and mutsumi's relationship souring even further and/or mutsumi's destroyed mental state.

third comes nyamu's frustration. she immediately notices that a lot of the online attention is placed on other members more than herself. she probably doesn't intend to actively hurt mutsumi, but her words keep reminding the poor cucumber that once again she is in the spotlight again. Once again, she is in photoshoots, taking interviews and staring at the cameras. A life she had known since childhood and wished to stay away from.

fourth comes her mother. we finally meet her and her personality is a far cry from mutsumi's. from her interactions with the band, it is shown that she wants to be accepted by her daughter's peers. "Cool Mom" personality. She makes them an elaborate dinner, offers a business opportunity to nyamu, makes them watch her own movie and invites the band to use the room as "no one is actually using it". But that isn't true as we see the torn and used chair that mutsumi has been using. There are two possibilities: either minami is aware that mutsumi is using the room but doesn't give it any importance or she is unaware of it. At best, it is obliviousness, at worst it is negligence. also, mutsumi calls her own mother by her first name. as her own character screamed in the movie, it is likely that minami mori is a negligent mother.

fifth comes sakiko's panic. her pet project has started unraveling with the mask reveals. she is forced to write a new script, and to steer the ship in another direction. mutsumi's words during the interview further deepens sakiko's turmoil. now, media is talking about a possible breaking of the band. the only thing left for sakiko who went all in on ave mujica. as mentionned before, mutsu doesn't talk a lot because she is cursed to say the worst thing at the worst possible time.

"I never found being in this band fun." In soyo's eyes, that was the nail in the coffin for crychic. a sentence that completely eroded tomori's self esteem.

"It won't last long" she said openly during a live interview after a major shift in the band's image, which sakiko is having a hard time reconciling. (exemplified by telling the interviewer to refer to them as their stage name and not their real identity). As previously said, ave mujica is the only thing left for sakiko, and mutsumi accidentally threw a wrench into it.

I CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT THE FIRST EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

going to put it under the cut since not everyone has ^^ i watched the first global premiere in december so i've been sitting on this for So long

sakiko is my sweet baby who has done nothing wrong in her life and deserves only good things. her side of the story with crychic broke my heart the first time i watched it and another time today u_u she never meant to leave!!!!! she loved the band!!!!!!!!! it was somewhere she felt like she belonged, something she genuinely enjoyed being a part of. but life is not kind to my poor little meow meow.

when i watched it live the audience collective went Aww :( when she got that beer can thrown at her. very relatable, me too. i just wonder where she's going to go next.

with ave mujica unmasked, they've lost their escape. uika says that being part of avemuji is refreshing compared to her sumimi activities. aside from how her dream of being with sakiko forever has come true, it seems that avemuji and the character of doloris were important forms of escapism to her. and now because she has been unmasked, she has lost that. even if she continues playing the character of doloris, people will see her as sumimi's uika first and foremost.

this can be further seen when oblivionis and doloris take off their masks willingly: sakiko smiles despite her obvious distress and although i am not very familiar with uika's character i got a very strong sense of Fakeass Idol from her smile. very interesting.

the whispers from the audience when they're all unmasked intrigued me. aside from sakiko, they all have another identity attached to them. amoris is livestreamer nyamuchi (part of the reason why anon was interested in the concert), doloris is sumimi's uika, timoris is known as another band's umiri, and mortis is the daughter of two well known entertainers. sakiko isn't recognised as any particularly notable person to the public (likely because she is no longer affiliated with the togawa group) but of course anon and soyo are shocked by her reveal.

of everyone, mutsumi seems to be the most distressed at being unmasked. i wonder if this ties into how she has only ever been known as her parents' daughter. very excited to learn what the hell is wrong with her.

the next episode is titled "the outcome justifies the deed" which makes me 🤔 because it also seems like nyamu was proven right (that unmasking them would make even more people aware of avemuji) but we also see soyo's conflict and mutsumi's misery...... very interesting indeed.

Thoughts on the second episode of the Ave Mujica anime

Hi everyone!! I'm continuing what I did for the first episode by posting my thoughts around a bingo I made specially for the episode!! Once again, everything will be under the cut :)

Starting off with "Soyo tells Tomori and Taki about Sakiko being in Ave Mujica"

It ended up being a random classmate who told Tomori about Sakiko, but Soyo did inform them about the role she played in creating Ave Mujica, so I guess that counts? Anyway, the most interesting in the scene of Tomori watching Ave Mujica's first performance was definitely her word about Sakiko's lyrics. We know from the first episode that Uika writes the lyrics, but I remember reading somewhere that the songs before Ave Mujica's debut (so the songs before Ave Mujica) were written by Sakiko (correct me if I'm wrong though). And at the very least, Tomori's comment tells us that the song Ave Mujica was written by Sakiko herself. It really highlights how strong the relationship between Sakiko and Tomori was, for the latter to guess immediately that she's seeing a new side of Sakiko. A side of Sakiko that she kept hidden and barely relayed to others. Even Uika, who's known Sakiko for longer, doesn't seem to have figured out how honest Sakiko is being through the songs apart from the reason she called herself Oblivionis (although with the fact Uika is the narrator, who often makes on point comments about the rest of the band and seems to be very observant, it is possible that she has figured out some things that she just isn't telling us). Anyway, I think Tomori's reaction to Ave Mujica really highlights her growth - she doesn't question herself and her abilities upon seeing Sakiko in a new band, but instead marvels at the fact that Sakiko had such a hidden side all along that she's finally revealing. I wonder if Tomori wil end up seeking out Sakiko to talk?

"People figure out/recognise who Sakiko is"

I'm kinda with Nyamu on this one, I didn't expect Sakiko to get recognised this easily. With how she left Tsukinomori and her father most likely disappearing off the business sphere, I thought she would have been forgotten or something, but it seems the Togawa fraud/loss wasn't announced publicly.

"Mutsumi gets cornered by Soyo who tries to draw info out of her"

This one was to be expected, although I was very surprised that the discussion with Soyo was cut off. I was kinda looking forward to seeing more cruel Soyo lmao. Also the parallel between Mutsumi's cucumbers that looked all withered and Mutsumi herself who was at the beginning of her breaking down is pretty obvious. I can't seem to figure out why they're all withered though. Is it from lack of care (indicating that Mutsumi is slowly lessening her grasp on reality?)? Or did they wither from the sun (similar to how Mutsumi is getting worse and worse from being under the spotlight all the time)? I personally prefer the second option but I don't think we'll get any info on the state of Mutsumi's cucumbers </3

"Info on Mutsumi's home life"

FINALLY!! What most struck me during that scene in Mutsumi's home are two things: 1) Her dad wasn't there, he must be very busy, and her mom insists on being called Minami-chan, even by her own daughter, which must create lots of distance between Mutsumi and her mother. I imagine that Minami is very attached to her craft as an actress, and her insisting that she be called by her first name could mean that she's attached to her youth and beauty as well. She seems wholly focused on herself, which is visible in the way she showcases a film in which she played in to the Ave Mujica members, even crying in front of it. So Mutsumi's home life is definitely not happy, even with how chipper her mom is - she doesn't seem to have much relationship with her two parents. And 2), the face Mutsumi made when she noticed how invested Nyamu is in getting to know her mother is pretty interesting. She's probably realising that Nyamu is like everyone else, close to her because she's interested in her parents. This probably made her uncomfortable even within Ave Mujica, whereas before she seemed to see the band as a safe place where she could be herself and not her parents' daughter. Please Nyamu, stop bullying Mutsumi </3

"Uika and Mana talking about sumimi/Ave Mujica"

Kinda glad I got that one tbh :) I'm so excited for Uika's feelings and toughts to unravel (although I believe she will be the last one to be focused on), so seeing her discussion with Mana was great!! Poor Mana, she just doesn't understand that Uika doesn't seem to care much about sumimi uh. And yes one could argue that Uika was preoccupied about Mutsumi (which I think she was), but her bland behaviour with Mana is pretty telling. While Mana is not a bad person, I don't Uka cares much about sumimi, especially considering that she's in a band with the love of her life on the other side lmao. That scene with Sakiko afterwards highlights it pretty well. Anyway Thanks for more Uika x Sakiko scenes Bandori!!!

"Umiri and Taki interactions :)"

Introverts to introverts connection. They are so silly together :D Also Umiri drinking choco milk is so cute... I wanna see more silly Umiri!!!

Here are my thoughts surrounding the bingo, as for my overall thoughts on the episode, well... I didn't expect it to be even worse than the first one, but damn... Let me tell you, by the end of it, I was feeling sick to my stomach. I couldn't help but always think that Mutsumi was gonna have a panic attack or something, and I can hardly believe that she managed to hold off breaking down until the last moment, where it seems like her mind almost disconnected from her body (her suddenly regaining consciousness on stage when she thought she was still in the dressing room). Her mind and reality merging to the point she couldn't even see anything past the stage was crazy too... She really was having some sort of crazy break down even though she played her part to perfection. Which was the second most amazing thing about this episode : Mutsumi plays her part to perfection because she's not acting. She's never acting. She is Mortis, the doll that does not fear death, the one who doesn't understand the world and wants to close off everything. By "playing" Mortis, she was just letting go of all her grievances and issues. Which is most likely why she took having her mask removed the hardest. Ave Mujica is a cathartic place for her, she gets to pretend she's not herself, gets to pretend she's not the daughter of the comedian Wakaba and the famous actress Minami Mori (although the irony of her having to "act" to be separated from her parents is a strong one). Also, I found it sweet that Taki was the only one to voice out Mutsumi's issues. It's sort of like Tomori and Sakiko, even though they were not that close, Taki still knows most of Mutsumi's tells and probably guessed that Ave Mujica was cathartic for her. And at the end, when Mutsumi's eyes changed for one last time... I thought the style eerily resembled the one used to draw Sakiko's doll's eyes, and I think this was done on purpose. The puppets are free from their strings, as Uika says, but it seems that instead, Mutsumi gained back her strings. When she should be liberated from the pressure of her mask, instead she has to face her own face. And, faced with what she hates the most (an assumption but one that I believe to be true considering that last scene), she breaks down and becomes a doll - soulless, lifeless. I can only hope that things get better for her... seriously, that episode was fire.

Thanks for listening to this big rant, I just had to get everything out of the way. I have some new thoughts about Nyamu, but I think I'll make a separate post because I really need to go to sleep lmao. I also made art of Mutsumi (she is consuming my every thoughts) but I'll post it tomorrow too!!

Nyamu is the only one in Ave Mujica who doesn't know anyone from Mygo and there is so much potential there i hope they do something with that

Like she meets one of her fans who is in a band, and when she looks them up they're actually really popular and an up and comer so obviously she wants to hitch her band to their wagon and use them for clout, so she tells Anon that they should totally collab, and Anon thinks this is a dream come true because she gets to hang our with one of her favorite influencers, this is exactly the reason she started a band

And so Nyamu brings this up to Saki, and she is like whatever since she doesn't know exactly who Mygo is since they've changed their name like 3 times since she last saw them but Saki's desperate to make this band work so she gives the green light since she's not gonna turn down the oppurtunity. Urimi and Mutsuri know who Mygo is, but don't speak up since up since Mutsuri thinks Saki knows what she's doing and maybe has a reason for this, and Urimi doesn't really know the full history, but she does know something went down between Mutsuri and someone from Mygo which really hurt Mutsuri, but it really isn't her place to say anything so she just lets it go.

Anyways the two bands agree but don't know each other yet so they meet up and Anon and Tomori are super excited to see Uika there, Anon because she's a famous idol and this is everything Anon has ever wanted, and Tomori because Uika helped Tomori sing again during their first break up and she never really got the chance to thank her before. Then they see Umiri and don't think much of it since she's in a lot of bands and it's nice to see a familiar face. And then Mutsuri and Saki show up and it gets super awkward for everyone.

Saki's upset because of reasons and she really did not want to see Mygo again, especially not when Ave Mujica isn't established yet. Uika doesn't exactly know what's going on but she's friends with Saki so she has a guess. Tomori's sad because if Saki is in a band again that means the break up last time really was because of her and so that insecurity comes bursting back in. Soyo's mad because she's not over what happened last time with Saki and Mutsuri but also doesn't want to talk about it because she's not over it so she lashes out at Anon. Taki's mad because Tomori is sad and blames Anon because of course she does. Anon does feel bad because this was kind of her fault since she's the one who organized it, but seriously how was she supposed to know this would happen and everyone should stop blaming her. And Nyamu doesn't know what's going on at all even though she was the root cause of all this and also Raana hates her for being a poser

Normally, she'd find it annoying if a guy nerded out about comparing power levels among characters, but when it comes to Kamui he just... His smile looks so cheerful talking about it with her. He looks so cute. His cheerfulness was contagious; influencing her to feel the same on the subject. Kamui is the only exception. Even this belief in love being real and not fictional has only bloomed once more because Kamui is the only exception.

When it was their turn to order something, Namida noticed some new recommendations they added. "Oh look, Mui! They're selling puff puff action~! We should get those!" She points at the cute chalk drawing of cream puffs on a chalkboard while enthusiastically saying an inside joke they share. She thought it was funny, giggling cheekily closely next to Kamui, when noticing how the cashier gave a confused look. The chalkboard sign also advertised some special breakfast food with ice cream on top like pancakes and waffles. "Let's get these too, Mui~! Have you ever tried this kind of combo? It's basically like when you tried the ice cream with funnel cake that one time!" She was feeling so excited to spend time with Kamui here and trying these out with him that she didn't even give him a chance to pay and instead quickly gave her money to the cashier. As they wait for their order, they look for a table. One of the tables they passed by occupied with a pair of two friends causing a scene of their stupid silly bickering. One guy was smugly holding up a fork of an impaled strawberry above his head to keep it out of reach that he apparently stole from a dish they're sharing. His friend clearly looking agitated and reaching over the table at an attempt to take back the strawberry he was saving for last.

"Hey! Give that back! DUDE! I totally called that one! You big jerk!" "Do you have any idea how fat your ass has gotten? Especially for a twink. Why would a bottom like you need it when I ACTUALLY got some topping to do, huh?" "Hmph. Jealous? I know you wish you coulda gotten a gyat like meeeeee!"

This time the agitated friend just goes all in as he exclaims that last line and tackles his thief; sliding against the table causing a whole mess with plates and utensils falling and they both topple to the ground along with the chair and tablecloth. All this because of one damn strawberry. Namida could only look on with a face that clearly reads "fucking idiots." She couldn't believe the words being used in their argument had to be heard by her own two ears. She then turns to look at Kamui with a cheerful smile that carried an impish aura. She had a petty idea in mind. "Hey. You know how we talked about power levels in Bleach? Who do you think would win in THIS fight?" She obviously didn't express concern about the two men getting in an altercation over a piece of food and instead turned their scuffle into her entertainment, while the manager came over to sternly talk some sense and angrily told them to leave or else they'll call the police. When they find a spot to sit, it was a table near the window. The same one her and Kamui tend to sit at since she likes looking out at nature. It brings back memories of when they first came here together after that licking incident and she was feeding him her favorite odd combo. The moment they sat down is when Kagura arrives. "Oh! Rara! Over here~!" She waves her hand in the air to get her attention. "They're selling something new on the menu today~!... Oh yea uh it looks like there's been a fight going on over there. So damn annoying. Could you believe it was over food?" Actually... She wondered if that was something the Yato siblings would fight over too.... You know what yea she can see that. A chuckle escapes her... and then another... and then she was giggling. "Eheheh~! Sorry. It's just them fighting over food the other stole kinda reminded me of you two." That's when the special order is placed on the table. A circle of cream puffs surrounding a big scoop of ice cream with a strawberry sitting on top of it. The strawberry was bigger than the common one. Is it only for this special dish? Geez if the two guys ordered the same recommendation, they could've just split the fairly large fruit in half. The waitress also offers them a bottle of chocolate syrup in case they wanted to use it and leaves. This gave Namida an idea. "Do you guys mind if I decorate them for a second?" She takes the chocolate syrup and begins drawing on each cream puff as her way of saying thanks. Everyday, she's grateful to have them in her life and having them here with her today brings another feeling of gratitude and joy.

"Aaaww I think this is the first time I've drawn all three of us in a dish together~!" She then notices a pamphlet on their table that was advertising an event. "Oh! Check this out! It says they're gonna hold a wasabi ice cream-eating contest and they'll be big prizes available for the winner! I wonder if they'll give out coupons or something." She holds up the colorfully-fun pamphlet to them, so they could see. Her expression turning kind of sour at the thought of wasabi. "I'm no good with wasabi though." Namida was about to take out her phone to take a pic of the cute cream puffs she drew on, but then a piece of strawberry is flung to her cheek. It was by one of the guys who were STILL fighting over the strawberry. What had happened was that the guy who had stole it off of his friend's plate in the first place placed it in his mouth to try and quickly eat it, but his friend punches him in the gut so hard that the guy spits it out like a gunshot. Namida just sat there with a shadow concealing her expression, as the saliva-covered strawberry slides down her cheek and falls onto the table. There was an eerie silence at first; her anger boiling from within. Until suddenly she swiftly grabs a fork that the waitress had left for them to choose between that or a spoon and throws it at the two idiots with the quickness of an assassin. The fork swooshing past the duo, who were grabbing each other's collars, right between their faces and it gets THUNKED into a wall. A cut slowly revealing itself in a red line on the bridge of both their noses and they slowly turn their attention to Namida in disbelief. Her hair whipping around like if fire could express anger. One of her eyes shining a purple fiery glow through the shadow of her face. "GET YOUR DUMBASSES OUTTA HERE, OR I'LL THROW ANOTHER ONE WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE!" Namida may not be physically strong, but she sure does have good aim.

Kamui was always happy to go out with Namida. Actually, just being around her, no matter what they did was enough to make him happy. Because it was her. He was happy his sister would tag along too, especially since he hasn't really been around on earth for some time. Kamui wouldn't openly admit to that though. Christmas was getting closer, so he wanted to save up money to get them both things they would really like. Hopefully they would like what he'd end up getting. But regardless, he didn't want to think about that right now. Kamui just wanted to enjoy the time he spent on earth without worrying. He often did let go of any worries when around Namida, having gone on and on about fights in Bleach while lining up with her at the Ice Cream shop, expressing his distaste for the recent episode which included Mayuri's fight. That was a character that creeps him out. He'd also enjoy hearing anything Namida would mention too, really enjoying sharing interests with her since it meant they could have fun talking together like this. Kamui was so overjoyed, looking at her, his ahoge forming into that usual heart shape when around her.

''You're.... so cute Namida. ♡ I could really listen to you talk forever.'' Kamui couldn't help saying that, softly laughing. Her voice, her expression, her joy, it all made his heart warm, and fluttery. He may as well look like a lovesick puppy. One that would easily grow bored with any other person, he'd pay attention so intently to everything about her.

He almost hadn't noticed it was their turn to order, having quickly followed after her. Kamui would hear annoyed muttering behind him, but it did nothing to spoil his mood. Unless they actively tried anything, lest he be forced to break someone's skull for disturbing his time spent with Namida. That'll lead to a penalty worst than death.

When Namida would point out the new recommendations mentioning their little inside joke, Kamui had to hold back a laugh, instead smirking. ''Namidaaaa, you pervert.'' He knew what she meant but wanted to tease her anyway, given that she told him what that term means. ''But sure, I haven't tried that kind of combo, there's a first time for everything. That combo from back then was pretty tasty too.'' He'd pout when she didn't give him a chance to pay, but didn't fight about it. Not a big deal, and she might be insistent on doing it.

When finding a table, when Kamui passed by the one with the bickering duo, he honestly didn't understand half of what they were talking about. Humans used the weirdest of terms. But regardless, they sounded really stupid. He really wasn't one to judge when it came to fighting over food since Kagura and him have done that a lot. As kids, and now. He recalls the many times that white haired samurai got pissed over the mess they made during their clashes. After what Namida asked, he'd end up incredibly amused,

''They're both really weak, and idiotic so they'll probably just knock each other unconscious.'' Hopefully they did, given the annoyances they were being. It seemed like it was getting on her nerves, and it made Kamui tempted to knock them unconscious himself. However, he wasn't looking to ruin this outing. No matter how strong the temptation. He was glad they finally found a table to sit at, which had a nice view. He couldn't resist slipping his hand towards Namida, then lacing their fingers and smiling happily.

He'd look when she called out to Kagura, giving his sister a grin when she came to their table. ''Oh hey ugly, haven't seen that dumb face of yours in a while.'' then came out his oh so heartwarming greeting that made her glare at him.

''Shut the fuck up, I want to have a nice day with big sis. Don't ruin it!'' The younger Yato huffs, although her gaze ends up looking at their laced fingers and disgust filled her expression,

''Ugh, I'm not even going to say anything.'' They were so openly lovey dovey, it made her want to puke. But, she won't comment and will just sit across from Namida.

''I would have came quicker but I had to drop off Soyo-chan, she probably would have liked to come here if a certain someone wasn't around.'' She'd glance over at Kamui before glancing away. He looked rather nonchalant and uncaring over that though. He thought of that princess as a weak, brainless dumbass.

When Namida pointed out the fight, Kagura looked over at them and just sighed shaking her head. ''I guess me and Kamui do that.... sometimes..... yeah...'' She awkwardly rubs the back of her head,

''I usually win though. Since you're weak as hell.'' A smug smirk was worn on his face, as if he was trying to purposely antagonize her. Kagura ignored him, trying to hold back the urge to beat the hell out of him with the table. When the order arrived, her eyes would light up and she practically gushes from happiness.

''Oooooh! Cream puffs! I haven't had these in so long!'' Kagura was pretty excited to eat them, although she, as well as Kamui allowed Namida to take her time decorating them. They'd both look surprised to see the end result.

''Wow, Namida. You're super talented huh? ��'' Kamui chimes in, as if he had never previously insulted her art work before. Now, he only really showered her in praise. He even takes out his phone, to take a picture of them all. Kagura rolled her eyes, though might pester him for the picture later since her phone was dead. Kagura went to get the strawberry in the middle of the cream puffs, but the moment she did her brother slammed his fork down into it which startled her.

''Don't even think about it, this is mine.'' He quickly ate it, smugly looking at her. An annoyed sound came from Kagura, finding that completely unfair.

''Bitch.'' She mutters under her breath, crossing her arms. She settled for just the cream puffs, not like she had a choice now anyway. It was tasty at least.

Upon the mention of the wasabi ice cream eating contest, she made a sour looking face since that was too much for her. Looking at the pamphlet with her brother, she'd gesture to him.

''The idiot over here could probably handle that. He has a good tolerance of spicy and bitter food. All different kinds.'' She only knew because they had a competition like that before, that she obviously lost.

''Hahaha, oh yeah, that would be super fun actually!'' Kamui looked interested, especially since it meant free dessert too? Hell yeah. He wondered what kind of prize there would be. Being a Yato with a black hole stomach meant his chances of winning were a lot higher since the competition would be a bunch of humans.

Silence ends up coming over their trio when the bit of strawberry slid down Namida's cheek though. The siblings watch as she threw the fork at the two that had been arguing. Kamui blinked a few times, looking amazed. Then the most enamored of looks came across his features, hearts practically floating above him.

''She's amazing. ♡''

''You may be right, but stop making that face you're going to make me puke.''

(keep in mind that i am discussing early story yukilisa which would be the same state as our current mygo line)

first of all on an individual level. soyo/lisa and sakiko/yukina have common themes/motivation.

soyo/lisa paralleles : seen as "motherly" (and in both cases its a behavior they both show when they Aren't Feeling Normal), scared to be left behind, needs to feel needed by other ppl to feel self worth, attachment to the past, dont want to overstep and is seen as the mediator

then visually. both having brown hair. if lisa didnt tie her hair it would Extremely ressemble soyos hair and vice versa. both key colors being warm colors (lisa/red and soyo/yellow)

sakiko/yukina paralleles : motivated by the downfall of father, willing to use others to gain back something that was lost, don't want any emotional attachment and yet are Extremely emotionally attached and motivated, musical genius in their own way

and once again visually. both got yellow eyes. if sakiko let down her hair she would look like yukina and someone actually DREW THAT, both having cold key colors (yukina/purple and sakiko/blue)

then when it comes to the relationship aspect. i often talk about how yukilisa managed to get thru their bad years because neither of them actually wanted to let go of the other. i often visualize it as threads to be cut. which neither yukina or lisa did. whereas for sakiko and soyo. sakiko was the one taking that step.

sakiko genuinely do not want soyo around anymore because she doesnt want her to get involved in her eventual mess and draws a big line to not cross for soyo. something that yukina never had the heart to do. she mentions how her caring for lisa feels like an obstacle to her goals. which is the same for sakiko who actually acted on it. it also makes you wonder. would lisa have stuck like soyo if yukina Did draw that line. to me the answer is yes because she feels a duty to have yukina smile again. and would have pushed for it the same way soyo is.

in a heartbreaking way, to me, sakiko wishes that soyo would want the same especially after treating her so coldly. which circles back to yukina Also wondering why lisa sticks to her when she doesnt act all that friendly to her when lisa keeps reaching out to her.

in the same way that. in episode 4. when sakiko learns that soyo got into another band. you can see that she is Actually affected by it, no matter how much distance she tries to put with the past. which then makes you wonder. how yukina would have reacted if lisa did get into another band. and we factually Know that she is convinced that lisa would have always ended up in roselia. so even back then she would have also been greatly affected if lisa did join another band.

it goes on and on and i am still seeing and connecting new points almost everyday. a lot of those parallels also falls on. what if yukina and/or lisa Acted that way. and somehow i feel like it does fall quite in line with their early character. which is why i also thought of captioning my art as something along the line of "you, that i could have been" to capture how much it is a matter of what if.

i like anosoyo because theyre the same but different. but the same.

girls who act fake, only show their true colours to a select few. a girl who runs away from her past and a girl who refuses to let go of the past. girls who only started properly learning an instrument for the social approval of their friends. a girl who wants to be the centre of attention and a girl who wants to be relied upon others.

even when saki said something horrible to tomori and broke up the band, soyo said "we didn't disband, we just failed to communicate", even when soyo blatantly ignored tomori and anon after yelling at them after the first live, anon said "there must be some other reason, lets go and talk to her." soyo took care of all the social media stuff for crychic now anon is taking care of that for mygo. saki is the one who brought soyo to crychic, anon and soyo formed mygo together. when saki cut off all contact soyo went to her school and tried to follow her home, when soyo cut off all contact anon did the exact same thing.

soyo sees all the bad parts of herself in anon and hates it, anon sees all those same parts of herself in soyo and thinks "omg... she's just like me fr!!!"
