zucchini has escaped containment. did some pruning so the eggplant wasn’t literally engulfed by it anymore but… idk i’ve never grown zucchini before and i was not prepared for this.

hand for scale. it’s fuckin huge.

tomatoes are in a separate bed doing their tomato thing. producing a satisfying amount of tomatoes that i’ve been able to share with a bunch of friends but the plants are a bit scraggly and not photogenic. (they’re the heirloom variety that just keep growing so the leaves are dying at the bottom while the top half keeps growing.)

basil is sad. did not realize how much water things growing in giant terracotta pots need during a heat wave and i think it got permanently stunted quite early on.
