In that dinner with Toman members before I think the Black Dragon arc, we see evil Hakkai and someone who wants his rice and Smiley. So, question: Where's Angry? At that point, we didn't know that Angry existed, but now I have questions. What happened to him in that timeline?
Well we have no canon answer for that but I think there's two possibilities for Angry there. Either he's still in the gang but isn't as involved as Smiley/ a lesser down member. Which would make sense because I don't think Angry would want to leave Smiley alone in the gang. I mean this is the same guy who always seems to be keeping Smiley out of trouble and assumed he'd be doing that in the future.

But on the other hand I really can't imagine Angry who hates violence to be in such a bad criminal organisation. I also don't think Smiley would want him there or involved. So it probably comes down to Smiley trying to keep Angry out of it vs Angry trying to be involved to help Smiley.

β˜„οΈ He swung around to shield you as a young girl walked out, she had light-orange hair and piercing amber eyes, and when she saw you she tilted her head
" Who are you exactly? " " I'm- " " This is the person I've been telling you about, Yuzuha. Y/N, this is my older sister, Yuzuha, and this is my S/O, Y/N L/N. "
β˜„οΈ Yuzuha smiled and held her hand out for you to shake, saying how she figured he had an S/O with how cheery he was whenever he hung up the phone sometimes

chifuyu who has established coming up behind you to wrap his arms around you and lift you up into the air as his default greeting, laughing as you squeal and kick your feet.
keisuke who let you name one of his cats, and now taiyaki is a very small and spoiled third-wheel on all of your dates, getting scooped into your arms as keisuke leans over to kiss the edge of your mouth.

rindou who would stop at very little to protect you, but he's always brought back to reality by your hand tugging at his wrist when he's gone too far. you're the only one who can pull an apology from him.
ran who is so used to a life of independence and supporting other people that he simply melts, lying in his room with his head in your lap, the safest he's ever been able to feel.
hinata who will outright refuse to take other people's shit, often leading to you having to drag her away from conflicts, laughing as she fights against your grip, scowling adorably.
emma who is so often called childish, but you allow to her bring out her true nature of playfulness instead of play-acting as an adult, your relationship one of hands joined, swinging in the space between you.
yuzuha who just needed someone to be there for her, but she's instead fallen so devastatingly in love, and she kisses you at the end of every date with desperate love, silently vowing to keep you safe.
senju who has a love language of spending time together, and could do anything at all with you, as long as it's with you. she doesn't care for your lectures about getting hurt, but she'll always listen.

I will make an even better call.
He did not stop at spoiling Mahoyo 2, a VN that doesn't exist in any way, shape, or form yet. No. In fact, Nasu has gone above and beyond, also spoiling a critical new story element for the Tsukihime Remake's Red Garden, hidden inside the Mahoyo event.
Why do I say this? There's a scene in the collab event where the gang discusses the matter of reviving the dead. Aoko's little incident at the end of Mahoyo inevitably gets brought up, but Alice shuts down the notion that Aoko can revive the dead, because what Aoko does is time fraud, essentially running a scam, and therefore does not count.
If you are killed, but Aoko makes it so you don't die, she does so by taking the time you were killed and propelling it into the far future, way after you would die of old age anyway. In Mahoyo, Touko is aghast at the methodology because messing with time would absolutely incur some kind of terrible debt to the fabric of reality that will have to be paid eventually, while in FGO, Alice believes it doesn't count as reviving the dead, probably because you never died (because the time that you died is far, far sway).
What does this have to do with Tsukihime?
Now, in the original Tsukihime, Shiki was basically a dead man walking; his body was animated by Akiha's life-force / soul after saving her from an inverting SHIKI, and while it's never explained beyond "Akiha has powers no one else in her oni family has", no mage has been able to revive the dead, or keep a body that can no longer live on its own moving by making it a parasite on their own life. Others that cheat death such as Touko or Roa (or Meltryllis in FGO) move bodies instead, they cannot save a body that has been damaged beyond saving.
Only Aoko and Akiha have done that.
Now, we know due to some bad ends in the Tsukihime Remake that Shiki is still unknowingly dependent on Akiha, because she's able to control his life and even make him pass out by cutting him off (at least until he gets possessed by Roa), BUT we don't know if the accident with SHIKI was the only thing that happened in the past.
The Tsukihime Remake no longer takes place in Misaki town like the original did. This means that Shiki no longer encounters Aoko walking around her home town. She would have had to go to a hospital in Souya town, and coincidentally run into 9 year old Shiki terrified of seeing death everywhere.
I don't buy that their meeting was a coincidence anymore. I think Aoko knew he would be there.
There is now an unexplained gap between when Roa was Elesia, and when he was SHIKI. In the original timeline, Elesia would have been born around 1975 and fully overwritten by Roa when she was 16, or at 1991. If Arcueid killed her quickly, Roa would have had to find a new host fast, and the incident with SHIKI happened in 1992, 8 years before the events of Tsukihime. No gap.
But now, Arcueid defeats the possessed Elesia in 2001, and the incident with SHIKI doesn't happen until 2006 (8 years before the events of the Tsukihime Remake in 2014). There's now a 5 year gap.
Now, Nasu might just be really bad at mathing out his timeline, but based on entirely no evidence whatsoever, I'm gonna say the 5 year gap between Roa's victims is intentional.
Roa had one more victim in between Elesia and SHIKI, which would be Shiki himself, way before Shiki would gain the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception.
Roa got confused. He meant to target Tohno SHIKI, heir to the powerful Tohno family, and instead got Tohno Shiki, their child slave whose family name got replaced. Roa goes wild inside a Nanaya's body, but ends up running into Aoko (who we know due to Melty Blood Type-Lumina that she has orders from the Clock Tower to defeat and interrogate Roa), who gives him the fuck you laser and incinerates Roa in an instant. Roa gets told by Dr Arach (who is obviously a fucking vampire) that he had the wrong Shiki all this time, while Aoko uses her bullshit to restore Shiki himself.
Unlike with Ciel, whose soul is now "Roa" and thus became immortal because she cannot die while Roa is still recognized by the World as alive, Aoko's method of reviving the dead doesn't heal them of death, she just magics all that shit away.
This makes Shiki avoid the magic loophole that Ciel gets trapped in, becoming an ordinary boy again with no vampiric connection (because Aoko made the whole incident never happen).
That distinction is important, because not dying when being killed is why Shiki has the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception in the first place. He experienced death and his mind now comprehends its true nature. Aoko reviving him doesn't trigger it because like Alice says, Aoko doesn't revive the dead.
Akiha on the other hand, triggers it because Shiki was mortally wounded and his life can no longer move his body, instead relying on Akiha's life force to survive. This makes Shiki dead but functionally alive, manifesting the mystic eyes of death perception.
When Aoko heard that the little boy she unkilled somehow managed to die again just a little later only to reawaken at the hospital, she had to come and see him for herself, leading to that fateful meeting outside the hospital.
TL;DR - Mahoyo event spoils that Roa in the Remake timeline switches it up, possessing Shiki first before ever touching SHIKI, which Aoko deals with.

I have zero proof about any of this by the way which is why it sounds like complete bullshit, because it is. I just saw an opportunity to post Tsukihime Remake speculation on a barely related topic and ran away with it.

The boys had ended up fighting over whose bride you would be and your resolution had been saying that they would both be your wives.
They ended up agreeing to that with no problems, except for the fact that they took your vow of loyalty and plans of future marriage very seriously.
Now all these years later they proudly proclaim to be married to you, much to your indifference. "Ya, they're my besties. They're only joking." "Y/N, I just watched them run over someone with their bike."
It starts to become very clear to the boys that you don't intend on keeping your promise and that they need to hold you to your word. After all, you did say you'd take responsibility for them.
Nahoya comes up with the idea first. "Sex friends," he explains to you and Souya both, "I mean, we're so close already, and if we mess up or embarrass ourselves it won't be so bad. We're already best friends right?"

The Haitani brothers and the Kawata twins have a love-hate friendship. Nahoya bickers with them while Souya is more relaxed. They spend time with each other outside of Toman meetings at restaurants. The Haitanis invite them to parties sometimes.
Yumi and Pah have a very wholesome and soft relationship. They didn't put a label on their relationship in the beginning, people already assumed they were a couple. It was like that until Pah was asked about it by his close friends. He formally asked Yumi to be his girlfriend after that.
Yasuda is the one that asks out Peh-Yan. Mitsuya knew they liked each other all along and both of them confided in him before they started a relationship. Yasuda becomes protective of Peh in a 'tsudnere' way. Peh-yan doesn't admit it all the time, but he likes doing cliche relationship things with her.
If Takemichi and Hina were to ever have kids, they would all look exactly like Takemichi. Hina often teases him that he cries more than their kids when they were babies, which is true.
The Sano house became a popular spot for sleepovers when everyone was really young. Shinichiro made sure to have enough sleeping bags for Mikey, Takemichi, Sanzu, Baji, Izana and Kakucho. Senju and Emma would have their own sleepover and often had to kick Mikey out when he came to steal their snacks.
Since Ryusei is canon to the story, I think he would come by Peke J land a lot in the future. Mostly to annoy Chifuyu on purpose.
When Draken and Emma have their kid, all the ex-toman members become very protective of them. Mitsuya personally makes clothes for their child that aren't in his brand. The baby refers to Mitsuya as an uncle sometimes. Hina also becomes very close with their baby too. She volunteers to take care of them when Draken and Emma go on dates. Their baby refers to her as an aunt sometimes too.
I think Emma may have confessed to Draken first. She was getting anxious about how he felt about her, so Takemichi and Hina convinced her it would all work out just fine.
When Draken and Emma started dating, her brothers all reacted differently. Mikey was finally relieved the secret was out, Shinichiro was very happy Emma was with someone he knew would be good for her, and Izana became a bit protective of her and kind of threatened Draken if he were to hurt her, which he obviously never would.
Thousand Winters still forms after Toman disbands. Their reactions are all pretty much the same. They've got a photo album with pictures they all took in the t-shirts. However, it took a lot of convincing for Inui to be in the pictures.
Sanzu and Senju often wear clothing that closely matches with one another. They have their own sense of style, but sometimes it blends together and they wear similar things.
Luna and Mana are still very close with Taiju. He picks them up from school a lot and takes them to amusement parks and stuff. However, he doesn't like to admit he enjoys it even though everyone else knows he does. Yuzuha and Hakkai have dozens of photos where he's dressed in costumes or wearing cosmetics when Luna and Mana ask him too. When they're older, they sometimes still call him 'Tai' (the nickname they used in the birthday illustration).
Taiju is good at cooking, but he sucks at baking like the epilogue mentioned. He does thinks like burn chocolate, doesn't use enough flower or even squeezes piping bags too hard, causing them to explode.
Yuzuha is an older sister figure to Luna and Mana. She takes them shopping for clothes, teaches them how to put on makeup when they're older and watches over them while they grow up.

She died during a gang fight, someone from the opposing side fought dirty and stabbed her. She wasn't down for the count yet, so she finished him off before finally loosing all strength to stay standing. Due to the commotion of the fight, no one noticed until Takemitchy came searching for her.
He yelled and cried for her to wake up, but it was too late. She was far too gone, and died upon arriving in the hospital.
This of course destroyed the Kawata twins after seeing their sister’s unmoving body, bleeding out. They blamed themselves for failing to protect their sister. Both of them were upset with Mikey, Smiley was so upset that he nearly he nearly got into a fight with Mikey. He blamed Mikey for letting their sister join, but he knew he was at fault too. He should have never let her even thought about joining.
But Mikey knew he was at fault to a certain level as well. He always had a feeling that something might go wrong, he always knew something like this could happen. He just…didn’t want to believe it.
Eventually, the Kawata twins left Toman all together. Toman suffered a great loss that day.
Takemitchy knew that this would only add to Toman’s downfall. There had to be something he could do. And thankfully there was, he’d go back in time, a day before the gang fight happened.
He had to stop Y/n from going to that fight.

So far so good, Takemitchy was able to go back to the day before the fight. He quickly made his way to Y/n’s school. She was outside of the gates waiting for her brothers to arrive. She was surprised to see Takemitchy there instead.
β€œUh, hey Takemitchy. What’s up?” Y/n greeted him. Takemitchy nearly cried, this is the first time he’s seeing her since she died. He reminded himself to suck it up and act normal. β€œY/n, I have something to tell you.”
β€œOk?”
β€œYou know there’s going to be a fight tomorrow right?” Takemitchy asked. Y/n nodded, eyes filled with excitement. β€œIt’ll be my first one I go to!”
β€œAbout that…you can’t go to that fight Y/n.”
Y/n’s smile dropped. β€œWhy not?” She asks. β€œBecause…Because you…” Takemitchy just couldn’t come right out saying, β€œbecause you’ll die”, she wouldn’t believe him. She’d think he was being paranoid or acting weird. β€œBecause something bad will happen.” He settled with. β€œSomething bad will happen? What do you mean?” Y/n was just getting more confused by the second.
β€œI mean…I-I don’t know for sure. I just have a feeling…”
Y/n narrowed her eyes. β€œDid my brothers put you up to this?” Takemitchy quickly shook his head. β€œNo I just-”
β€œI’m going to that fight tomorrow Takemitchy. I’m apart of Toman now, which means I need to be there. And there’s nothing you or my brothers can do about it.” She said sternly.
That was one attempt failed. Takemitchy would try a few more times to convince Y/n to stay behind. Needless to say, Y/n was more than annoyed with his constant pestering. So she decided to ignore him. Finally the day of the fight had arrived.
Everything was going as it did in the future. Which means, soon, Y/n would die. He ran through the crowded fight looking for her. When he finally found her, she was fighting the same guy who had stabbed her before. Y/n delivered a swift blow to the guy, knocking him down. For a moment, Takemitchy thought something had changed, that Y/n would be safe.
That is until she turned her back, and the guy pulled out a pocket knife.
Wasting no time, Takemitchy rushed towards him, punching him in the jaw. This caught the attention of Y/n, she turned around to see the pocket knife that had been dropped to the ground. She gasped and looked at Takemitchy.
He just saved her life.
β€˜Wait…he predicted this!’ She thought. Before she could question him however, she was distracted by another gang member trying to attack her. This would have to wait…

Later that night, Y/n called up Takemitchy to meet up with her at a near by park. Takemitchy arrived to see Y/n waiting for him, her arms were crossed, she had an unreadable expression on her face. It made Takemitchy nervous for some reason.
β€œHey life saver.” She greeted him. β€œWanna tell me what’s up with you predicting the future?” Takemitchy swallowed hard. β€œI said I had a feeling, I didn’t know it would actually happen.” Y/n hummed. She walked closer to him. β€œDo it again!” She suddenly smiled. β€œPredict my future again. What am I gonna be like when I grow up?”
Takemitchy put up his hands defensively. β€œI-I don’t know that much!”
β€œAha! So you know a little bit then?”
β€œY/n…” Takemitchy sighed.Β 'I can’t slip up like that again. I have to be more careful from now on.’ Takemitchy smiled. β€œI don’t know what you’re going to be like when you grow up. But I have a feeling, just a feeling, that you’re going to turn out pretty great.”
Y/n smiled as well. β€œLet’s hope so.”
β€œYeah, I hope so too.”

Review Proper
I can’t believe Yamanaka Hiko’s been terrorizing me for over twelve years now. OH MY GOD I’M SO OLD. And true to the Yamanaka Hiko brand, this turned out to be another fantasy masterpiece (read His 500 Years of Suffering Romance). This was definitely the type of thing that would do great even without the BL aspect of it. Now, I did have an issue with Kidou being an asshole (he's almost killed Yoshino more than once), so I’m not excusing it. But I do get how and why he turned out to be like that and I'm aware that it's important for his character development. The world-building was great, don't get me wrong, but it's definitely dubcon 2015. I would strongly advise you not to get into it if that's a deal breaker for you.
Anyway, onto the voice work.
Souma used a tone so close to Gucci's that I kept imagining Gucci being Yoshino. Yes, I didn't read the manga while listening to the BLCD. It was like after graduating Karasuno, Gucci went on to become a teacher, then a donor lmao. His Yoshino panics more like Honda-san, however, so my final verdict is that his Yoshino is half-Gucci, half-Honda-san.
This isn't Nakajiki and Souma's first rodeo, but I'm glad to say that their performance/dynamic here is different from Mikeneko and XL Size. I expected Kidou to be a mix of Amano and Anaconbayashi-kun 'cause the former was cocky and the latter was stoic, but Kidou was only 50% of that mix and 50% brooding, suffering, I'll-protect-you top. Am I even making any sense? Again, I listened to the BLCD first, but the sound direction they gave Nakajiki was very different from what I thought he'd sound like after I read the manga. It’s almost like what happened with OnoD’s expressive Hasebe-kun in the Kotonoha BLCD vs the more stoic Hasebe-kun in the manga.Β 
The voice work of our two leads was πŸ‘Œ. This might just be my fave out of their pairings 'cause the sex isn't over-the-top like XL Size and Mikeneko. I will say that I wasn't completely sold on Yamashita Seiichirou as Shibata-san 'cause I feel like he speaks too slowly, but I'm sure it'll grow on me by the time I listen to their spin-off. KawaKen was fine. My heart broke for him every time Shibata-san rejected him, so it's safe to say he's got Taki-kun down already.

Oh. I did have a slight issue with the sfx too. Why was it so watery??? Lmao. Even r18 otome cds aren't that wet. But it's not so glaring that it'll turn you off.
The BLCD was almost perfectly accurate to the manga. I highly recommend this to those learning mid to higher levels of Japanese. Futekiya has licensed volumes 1 & 2, so please try to support the official release if you can. I'd be lying if I said that I agree with how they translated it so... literally?, but I think it's also important to see how things are translated that way if you're aiming to dip your toes into translation aside from studying the language. For example, they used "Living God" throughout the manga instead of "Ikigami." It's correctly translated, but I personally prefer retaining the original title. You know, like how Viz uses "Kaiju no. 8" instead of "Monster no. 8?"
God knows if I'll ever survive the spinoff that I wanted to work on. I avoided talking about it for a reason lmao. Anyway, if y'all liked this, then please give 500 Years (Ono Yuuki x Suzuki Tatsuhisa) and Shortcake no Ichigo Sawaranaide (Nojima Hirofumi x Takeuchi Ken). These two are android bls and Ikigami to Donor is more guide bl, but they both share a futuristic vibe.
