🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 What a wild, wild weekend!!!!! I had an absolute blast @pride.of.southern.utah with my Dadazon @madazon_can_can ! I met incredible queens like @trelatrache , and saw so many other fantastic artists I unfortunately didn’t get the names of, but it was a beautifully creative queer space. We met so many awesome queer youth that are so inspiring. This weekend was super important because I’ve found my battery, the force that is pushing me towards all of this. I don’t do drag for money, in fact I spend way more doing this than I make. I’ve been wondering what my motivation is to keep going, besides the art of it all, and I finally know why. I’m doing this to empower and embolden people to stand up for love and our right to exist. It meant so much to be there with the gay teens and show them that they are beautiful and important. To see them rebelling against the norm and finding joy in who they truly are is so heartwarming to see. Us older queers that grew up in rural Utah didn’t get to have a space to do that and I’m so grateful they won’t have to experience that immense isolation their entire teenage years. They have friends and they have us, the entirety of the queer community. So that’s why I’m doing this; for community and love. I’m so grateful for every one of you rebellious teenagers I met, continue to be fiercely powerful.
