Fact Check: Video Does NOT Show B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber Flying To US West Coast From Miami In Missile Defense Relocation
Does the video and caption in a social media post accurately portray a B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber flying over Miami as part of the moving of "missile defense systems" to "locations on the U.S. west coast"? No, that's not true: The footage of the military aircraft flying over a Miami beach actually displays an air show tribute for a holiday event -- not an essential and strategic operation.
The claim appeared in a tweet posted on Twitter (archived here) on June 19, 2023, with the caption:
B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber Flying Over Miami
Reports from military sources that missile defense systems are being moved to locations on the U.S. West Coast. 👀
This is what the post looked like on Twitter at the time of writing:

While the video seen in this post does display a B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber aircraft, it is not being flown to a location on the "U.S. west coast" in an attempt to move "missile defense systems."
The footage originated from a video published on YouTube on May 27, 2023, and titled "B2 Spirit Bomber at Miami South Beach Airshow 2023 Memorial Days." An edited video of the B-2 is seen in this tweet posted on the Twitter account of the Hyundai Air & Sea Show on May 28, 2023. The caption in the tweet reads:
✈️The @usairforce B-2's graceful maneuvers and cutting-edge design left us in awe of its sheer power and precision. It was a truly unforgettable sight that reminded us of the extraordinary capabilities of our military aircraft.🤩🔥 #USArmySaluteFest #HyundaiAirandSeaShow
In a June 28, 2023, email, a spokesperson for the Hyundai Air & Sea Show confirmed for Lead Stories that the video in the post was taken at the 2023 Hyundai Air & Sea Show and provided this quote from Mickey Markoff, the executive producer of the National Salute to America's Heroes event that includes the show:
The purpose of the Hyundai Air and Sea Show is to bring back the true spirit of Memorial Day and pay tribute to those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our freedom. Consisting of the Hyundai Air and Sea Show, Music Explosion, and U.S Army Salute Fest, it showcases the men and women of our Military, available career opportunities, and our nation's state-of-the-art military technology on display and demonstrating their capabilities.
This year the Hyundai Air and Sea Show had all three of our Air Force bombers in attendance. The B2 flew by, making 3 passes on Saturday, May 27th. Both the B1 and B52 were in attendance on both Saturday and Sunday.
Lead Stories reached out to the U.S. Air Force for a statement concerning this claim and will update this fact check if a response is received.

Saeyoung joined the agency at such young age, right? May I know when he's officially became an informant? After graduating from college? Also imagine that another senior informants looking down on him because he's young and probably useless, little do they know Saeyoung would be the top of the top ... 👀
There's no exact timeline here on how long it took him to go from college in America back to South Korea again. We know that he was there for long enough to perform in his classes, but he left before the graduation ceremony. We don't know how many classes he took at one time or how quickly he tried to speed through the process due to the agency paying for this training on their dime. We simply know he was there for at least a little while.
He made the deal with Rika and V sometime around his middle teens. So, think 13-14, that being around the time that you'd normally start going to high school or finishing up middle school here in America. In the CS/DP timeline, he's about twenty-one years old. So, he's been dealing in the secret agency since he was fourteen years ago. That's about seven years of trauma, my friends.
You know what, let's talk about this deeply while I'm pulling info from the Special Believer and RFA Package while we're at to get a better idea of what agency life is like for 707.
I doubt he was in America for longer than 2 years at a maximum. He was there long enough to get his studying done, and knowing that he was a skilled learner meant that he learned faster than most people would be able to do. So, we’re on a guessing game when it comes to that timeline. We don’t know when they had the thought to send him to study, but we know that they’ve put him through the ringer since the start.
Now, in Rika’s Diary, she has a clipping from Saeyoung’s disappearance at his university.
It says that he's 19 in this. I don't really doubt that because it would line up with the information that we do have from the game. It would make sense because when he comes back around to V and Rika in that timeline, it’s before his 20th birthday. That’s when he gets the fairytale book and floppy disc. That’s when his personality shifts and he’s able to don the joker mask as 707.
He knows that Saeran is safe and will get to live happily as far as he knows, so he thinks it’s okay to let out something to blow off steam and have some fun. Even Vanderwood comments that it wasn’t until that point that Saeyoung started to act like a “fool” instead of the “quiet and looming hard worker he was.” When that happened, it was a shift in his life to make sense of what he has and to be grateful for what he has.
You could infer that he was sent to college right away when he was 14 and that he stayed there until he was 19. But, I’m not sure I think that’s right. It's easy for the agency to fabricate and manipulate an environment. They completely erased everything that had to do with Saeyoung while he was there. He could’ve been any age. He could’ve been anyone. So we don't have any confirmation on how long he was in college. We just know that he went to college in America and he was there long enough to get his studies done.
He spends his time doing field work and working on his computer. He's not just a hacker by trade.
If they tell him that he has to get his ass out there for a mission, he has no way of saying no to them. He doesn't decide on his work. It's handed to him and he better be ready to get his work done. There’s a gun next to him at all times if he avoids his work, why do you think Vanderwood is on top of him so much?
Vanderwood is his handler to make sure that Seven obeys.
This kind of agency doesn't get the power that they have without manipulating and torturing people to get their strength. They take advantage of anybody that has no other way to go. If you want to survive and make sure that things go the way that they need to, you have to sell yourself.
You have to be willing to do things that are low down and dirty. You can't change your mind halfway in the middle of a mission. You have to do it. If you don't do it, you're going to get killed. You're either going to get killed by the enemy or you're going to get killed when you get back.
If he goes AWOL or tries to run, Vanderwood has the right to shoot to kill. That’s literally how their dynamic is. Vanderwood is a mentor and a guide to Seven in a lot of way because they work together as partners on missions but never once is it to be forgotten that Vanderwood was placed there to control Seven. There has to be an active threat to ensure agents do what they have to do. You work your way to where Vanderwood is by fighting to not die but... even Vanderwood has a limit to their skill because they can be thrown away just as readily as Seven can be.
Saeyoung is honest [be it in a joking way] about his missions. He was trapped in a warehouse for almost a week without food or water. He thought that he would be killed that entire time and when he came out, he was a shaking mess. You’re all aware of that mission. They bribed him with the HBC in the shipping center to keep him placated. They don’t just pay him in money when he does a mission. It can be bribes and other means that keep him doing his job.
[I wrote about his income]
This is just one of what is many situations where he’s been pushed to the brink. I don’t think I even have to talk about how he loves dressing up. He’s young and they use that to their advantage. Saeyoung dresses up like women quite a bit for his work to get information and intelligence. He can laugh it off all day, but there is something about him being forced into a situation where he could be harassed or worse that’ll leave a sour taste in your mouth.
He does these things for the mission because he doesn't have any other choice. He knows that this is the only way to keep surviving long enough to protect his baby brother from harm. He gave up control over his future for that. 707 wasn’t even his name choice. That was given to him by the boss. We had the chance to learn that in Saeran’s After Ending.
I think the one positive take-away from Saeyoung dressing up is that he learned that he loves make-up and clothes. He loves being able to explore style and any fashion he gets his hands on. He loves the compliments and attention. He loves teasing the RFA with his style, but I never thought it was a joke. I sincerely and truly think that that’s one way that he can get gender euphoria. We know that he is canonically bisexual but oh boy, I love seeing nonbinary or genderfluid HCs for him.
I wish he could explore that more in canon.
I don't know how older agents see him. We know how Vanderwood does. It's not really a system of something with a hierarchy.
Everybody is pretty much on the chopping block if they're not at the top. There's a gun at somebody's head forcing them to do things that have to be done. If you do not have a high-ranking position of power in the agency, then you are on the chopping block at any moment. The only reason why people don't turn against them is quite frankly because of all the power that they have.
If the entire agency of lower-ranking Agents were to work together, they could have taken it down but they never do. That's just because you know that it's hard to fight a system like that. If nobody is united then there's no way that they’ll win. So, it doesn't really matter how everybody sees each other from a standpoint of intellect. You can be smart all day but if you don't have any power that you're totally screwed.
That’s another thing. We don’t know how long Vanderwood has been watching over Saeyoung, either. We don't know if it's been from the beginning or if it happened after he returned from college. It's been a few years regardless, so that's definitely something to think about, too.

American Airlines Apologizes For Accusing Two Basketball Players Of Stealing Blankets & Kicking Them Off A Flight!
Now that's just cold.
American Airlines has issued an apology to two pro basketball players who were kicked off a plane after a flight attendant accused them of stealing blankets.
An airline spokesperson confirmed that Marquis Teague and Trahson Burrell of the Memphis Hustle boarded the South Dakota-bound flight at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on Sunday.
Two first-class passengers handed the NBA G league players their blankets as they headed to their seats in coach. But the warm gesture was torn apart by a flight attendant who accused the athletes of stealing the blankets before forcing them off the plane.

The rep said an airline manager apologized to the players for the turbulence, adding that Burrell and Teague later flew first class to their destination in Sioux Falls, SD.
The flight was operated by Envoy Air, however this incident comes weeks on the heels of AA announcing that it will implement implicit-bias training for its employees.
The decision, announced by Chief executive Doug Parker last month, was in response to the NAACP issuing a travel advisory for AA back in October. The association reported uncovering "a pattern of disturbing incidents reported by African-American passengers," and noted the incidents suggest a "corporate culture of racial insensitivity and a possible racial bias."
We guess that first class training didn't kick in just yet…
At least the players seem to be taking the incident in jest. On Thursday, Hustle coach Glynn Cyprien tweeted out a photo of the two flying coach once again — this time, with a blanket in hand:
Some airlines DO have blankets in Coach! Hahahahaha #Love my guys! The jokes are endless! 🙈👍🏾👀😂🤷🏾♂️ http://pic.twitter.com/M64YbgwHAk — Glynn Cyprien (@CoachCyprien) December 28, 2017
Ha! Stay warm up there!
