My thoughts on: Suzume♡

Just got home from the movies and absolutely LOVED Suzume! I was grinning so much the whole first half! I saw it dubbed and thought the cast did a great job! It was funny, cute and sentimental...the music was also really nice !

Broadly my only complaints would be it tries to do a little to much, leaving alot kinda open ended at the end. It didn't ruin the film by any means but left me with alot of questions. 

**Potential Spoilers below!!**

Some specific gripes would have to be :

♡The worm...was it me or did it look like..a...ya know😆

♡Time loop shenanigans like 10 mins before the end

♡Why does sota keep saying he's glad he met suzume ...and saying like "finally" as if he knew it was coming?

♡Also why did Suzume feel like she'd met sota, but kid Suzume didn't actually interact with him? I guess its kuz she saw him but still...

♡ Why did the other Keystone make Tamaki spill all her dirty laundry?

♡Why is Daijins health reliant on Suzume...why's he obsessed with her to?

♡ What force is forcing ppl to black out lines?

Mostly just all the un answered questions bug me||

Specific things I loved:

|| ♡ Daijins English voice...even when he was evil...or so we thought...I loved him

♡ The chair cgi...I loved how he moved lol

♡ Honestly the entire 1st half was a masterpiece imo. I loved every second of watching Suzume and chair Sota chase down Daijin and all the people they met!

♡ I really liked Tamaki but wished she got a tad more depth(along with sota)

♡Sota and Suzumes Banter was also great! For some reason I loved the babysitting sequence alot haha!||

I think this is the fourth or fifth watch of Suzume, and I love it as much as I love Your Name, and Weathering with you. There's melancholy in all of them, and Suzume deals with grief so deeply that I can't help but be overcome with it every time I watch it.

And while the ending guts me, I think the part that always hurts, is the time Suzume rejects Daijin in Tokyo.

It's been said better elsewhere, but I do love that most of the plot hinges on the kindness of strangers.
