After A Movie
[The New Moon Troupe exits from the movie theater. Buster cries]
Meena: Are you okay, Mr. Moon?
Buster: Oh, I always cry at happy endings.
Ti-Lo: So what do you do when there’s a sad ending?
Buster: …Cry…

VillianTales
Glomtales was by far one of the episodes I was most excited to see as this next batch came out. I have to admit, seeing Louie being left out of a adventure stung. But I loved the scenes of him trying to escape only to be foiled by the DT-87 at every turn. His frustration is understandable. He really wanted to go on that adventure. One the laziest he believed. I really liked that he has the ability to mimic his siblings though. The fact that he can mimic his voice is a real talent that I hope they explore more in the future. Also, Big Rock Candy Mountain. BIG ROCK FREAKING CANDY MOUNTAIN
I don’t know how many fans are around my age. But I remember when I was a kid there were a group of VHS from a company by Wee Sing. They made videos chock full of songs and creative plotlines and kind of scarily dressed humans….(shakes away that horror memory) Anyways.. Despite the VERY cheesy acting and fact that most of these characters had zero personality and delivered their lines like a overly guilty child lying to their parents for the first time…as a child I really enjoyed them. The songs were ones most children should know. Everything from Ring Around the Rosey, Row, Row Row Your Boat to lesser known ones. They had one called Big Rock Candy Mountain. They included the song in there and everything and I remember singing along to it all the time. The tapes were made by two people who created song books and were strong believers in the arts and learning through music. I’ll link below to their youtube channel to check them out. Now yes these are vastly dated, But quite a few of these songs are DECENT. I think if I ever have kids I’d probably introduce them to these songs as well. I totally recommended the Marvelous Musical Mansion. It was my favorite as a kid.

MOVING ON
Glomgolds idea of bringing all the villains together was actually a GOOD one. Bringing together all the villains was possible to stop the family. But, as things often go….Glomgold did not prepare himself enough. He forgot to check if they were home… he almost forgot to get a Webby. I am surprised though that Magica hasn’t tried to find another source for her magic.
Also…if she has a fortune….(Granted its in souls…) why was she working at Funsos?
I was on the edge of my seat during the scene of the siege. It pretty much went how I expected it to. Louie confronts the villains.. (Although I half expected him to try to run to get some kind of help. Or call Scrooge or someone on his cell phone since he still had it)
I had a feeling he might side with the villains but at this point I knew he was planning on double crossing them though. There wasn’t enough evidence out there for me to believe that he would turn against the family. The main reason being, that scene after Huey called him and Della told Louie he needed to stop the scheming to be a part of the family. Louie was so upset by that, he said. “Why can’t you see?!” Despite everything..he cares about Della. He knows his mom is being unreasonable and is hurting but he wants her to see why. I don’t think Louie would say that if he was turning on his family because Della took away his company. I don’t even think he was mad at her anymore. Just frustrated that she couldn’t understand who he was. This was who he was, like it or not.
In a way, maybe this was a plan to prove to his family that not all his schemes turn out bad. And this one was pretty ingenious. I sort of thought he would do something like a binding contract and would get all the money to himself. But it was a lot of fun to watch it unfold.
Also, while we didn’t get much of a show off between the evil characters and good guys we got enough to leave me pretty satisfied. Would have loved to see a better battle between Webby and Magica before she broke off to pursue Scrooge. I was left hanging at the end though. I was like “C’MON LOUIE”
It seems this boy really needs to learn things the hard way.
I can’t wait for tonight to watch Moonvasion. EEEEEEEEEEEEE. I may post a episode review for that before “Richest Duck In the World.”
Later all!
