why all of arcane s2 would have been prevented if piltover university had a functional research administration department, part 1
jayce's DEPA is several different kinds of insane. what the fuck do you mean you're on the council that's funding your research. what do you mean you're entangled with the woman who's funding your research. what do you mean you just fired the university president sir this is not a 'conflict managed with monitoring' situation we need you out of at least one of those rooms
speaking of why the fuck is jayce off doing all that to begin with. where's his project manager. the clout and money HexTech is bringing to piltover university is absurd and you're telling me he has to go lobby for funding himself? scientists are famously so incredibly bad at that. he would have an entire team of people on HexZoom calls with the medarda and kiramman families DAILY convincing them that they should keep funding this project. jayce did anything the last person asked him to, the only thing that should have been asked of him was to sit his ass in that lab and submit his progress reports on time
viktor: shimmer is not an allowable cost. you are free to experiment on yourself all you want to at home in your own apartment. get off university property before you give us six different EH&S violations to address before monday
and frankly 'we sacrifice love and legacy for science' is NOT an MTA. submit the controlled substance transfer request form and we will process in 4-8 weeks
sky fully died. that's a compliance department issue, not a co-PI issue. a research assistant vanished in your lab in the odd hours and the PIs are the ones deciding if the project continues? no, not at all, sorry.
yknow whats also not a co-PI issue? licensing and patenting. yeah, it's viktor and jayce's intellectual property so they have the FINAL say, but it's time for the PU contracts team to start playing some hardball, here. like i'm sorry but this is very clearly still in Phase II of the STIR program, why the hell are we using it to transport massive massive ships full of people and things. yknow what though actually? i never see piltover university getting held liable for all that, so maybe the contracts team did their jobs after all.
they have a noxian family of political merit funding weapons research. i know their export controls officer hasn't slept in weeks
shifting from fundamental research to weapons research took so many weeks of working late from their compliance department. they were up to their EARS in paperwork someone should have said no to that
re-hiring an ex-student expelled because he committed a research related crime and then broke into the university laboratories with the help of the dean's assistant is such an insane assumption of risk it hurts my head
