Fall calls for soup that warms the heart

October typically marks the beginning of Fall in most parts of the world, but in Arizona, things are almost always much different. For example, Arizona residents are used to being able to go without a jacket on the night of Halloween.

Living outside your country brings a lot of nostalgic mood. This assignment on telling story about soup made me remember not only Kyrgyz cuisine but also my friends, interviews with people, music and my country. Being a foreigner is also means of reflection on yourself in your native country. I narrated the story as an audio, and I knew, which music I would use for background, Esimde — famous composition by Atai Ogonbaev. Esimde in Kyrgyz — I remember or In my memories. So stories on shorpo one by one come to my mind.

Something About Panera Soups

I’m not a fan of soup unless it’s from Panera Bread. Their broccoli cheddar soup brings back memories from my senior year of high school, sunny and cold weather, and even snow ( yes, in Houston!) Their creamy tomato soup is another favorite and I refuse to order it anywhere else. I don’t know what it is about Panera soups that makes them so delicious but those magic ingredients are what keep me coming back for more. Read more about my love for Panera Bread soups here.

Just a little tip :

Do not throw burning soup all over yourself.  It will hurt. And look terrible.

And if you still do it by accident, then make sure your laptop is not on your lap... because that will go wrong. So now i have a red chest and a laptop filled with soup. Great.

Broccoli and cheddar soup for nostalgia

Writing about my favorite soup, broccoli and cheddar soup, reminded me of all the holidays I spent in Boulder, Colorado with my family. Especially all the times with my cousins at my grandfather’s house. Soup reminds me of colder weather hence why I thought of family.
