Penny Parker: electrokinesis;in one of her streams, she said that she had a high tolerance for electricity growing up (forgot which stream it was tho) so i took that as inspiration lol

Chase Young: ghost powers;he can go through solid objects, possess people/objects,ect.  

Joy Charlotte: telekinesis;can move things without physically touching them

Red Van Busirk: sonokineisis;can manipulate soundswaves,use sonar,ect.

Logos

This selection of logos might not exhibit a great range of innovative design elements, but I still chose them either because of the personal connections I have with a number of these brands, because of their evolutions in relation to universal design trends (Reddit, Spotify, and pretty much every other social media going flat), or because I simply adore the visual appeal of the compositions.

One prominent reason why I picked some of these logos is because of the color that’s associated with their brand identity. I have always been interested in the way corporations establish their presence in their respective markets using a single color as their frontline (read more). Although not pictured here, many big companies like Facebook or Twitter (or Tumblr, for that matter) are prime examples in utilizing this method. In my case, Reddit’s orange, Spotify’s green, and Uniqlo’s red are most iconic. Paired with some other unique aspects of design — the alien “Snoo” from Reddit, the soundswaves from Spotify, and the clean-cut Katakana that translates beautifully into the romanized version of Uniqlo — these logos never fail to incite emotions that I would feel while experiencing their products.

Regarding personal taste, I worship serif typefaces, especially the thin, elegant variety with dramatic contrast in stroke widths. This explains my infatuation with the logos of Medium, Faber-Castell, and The Face Shop. I also cannot resist line illustrations, which is exactly why the first three logos are where they are in my list. Lastly, as much as I stand by minimalistic designs, intricate and ornate logos such as Hermès’ and Rosalind Miller’s still fill me with so much adoration.

Briefly…

Describe 1–2 media and/or materials you would like to explore;

Explain whether/how these reflect what you have learned about the word.

Two of the medium I would like to explore are Soundswaves/ Sound colour scape as Image and Translucent materials. One of the definitions of the word is “the spectrum of something” and I think a translucent material/ paper would allow me to show the depth of that spectrum.

Duane doesn't have to breathe, right? And even if his voicebox doesn't work underwater, he could just pymary up some soundswaves, right? Underwater adventures with Minnow when? Man, if Minnow had a sort of child-like playfulness/innocence then it could be a cute scene for Duane to pymary underwater with her, not something she could experience with many others. I hope you have a couple cute Minnow moments planned(>implying not all Minnow moments are cute)
