Liveblogging Supernatural (but I forgor the first 10 episodes)
This show is stressing me tf out why would you put your hand into a hole with thousands of worms, Dean Winchester
Also so much evidence destruction please stop touching things at active crime scenes 😭😭
The cops in this universe are probably so confused why these two's fingerprints are at every crime scene all over America
This native guy hates dean and he just met him, I love this dude
This show is gonna be the death of me, daddy and mommy issues is a deadly combination
These two dumbass men need therapy, half of their reccuring problems would be solved if they just talked to eachother
Dean said "psycho killer" and now all I can think of is the "Psycho Killer Qu'est-ce que c'est" thingie lol
The first rule of using tasers is DON'T STAND IN WATER.
Dean is giving Eddie in the first Venom movie rn
Why does this show love blonde women so much??? There's so much blonde wtf
I'm assuming we're about to meet the angel dude, Deans fucking dying
Sam is very frustrated by his brother's stubbornness. Sir you are dying rn why don't you give a shit
Omg Dean is dead
No wait he's fine
Wow that priest guy might actually be legit
Dean is so sassy sometimes I love him
This priest guy definitely sold his soul to the devil or something
"I have this thing" and it's a brain tumor- that's the funniest thing ever wtf
What is Dean's necklace
Dean is not concerned that he's about to die when the next dude gets healed, honestly good for him
I think I misunderstood how this works
Why would you heal an old guy he's gonna die soon anyways
This show was made before I was born but it's so interesting, that seems like a pattern with the shows i like (house md, SVU, doctor who, etc, etc)
Omg he's killing "sinners" :0
Welp rip that guy
Bad Sue Anne, we don't kill people.
The Lord will deal with him by giving him an angelic homosexual situationship
Sue Anne! That kills people!! /ref
This blind old man is gonna die, so is dean
Sam, if you don't punch that woman in the face right now I'm gonna fight you
Yay he punched her
Rip Sue Anne and her blind husband
These two definitely act like siblings, kudos to the writers
Who's at the door? LAYLA
She's so pretty
Preemptive Rip for Layla
I'm an atheist but good for Layla, sticking to ur beliefs
So sad, anyways no angel guy, I was wrong
That's a big ass truck
Is the truck racist or is there a spirit driving the truck
Rip that guy damn, his car's a pancake
God damn ghost truck
My man dean's got double standards
"Accidents" three car accident deaths in as many weeks, all black men all the same circumstances. I don't think that's a coincidence, sir
Dean you can't just prod like that and shut her down bro
I love Cassie she says what I'm thinking
Apologizing! Now stop kissing her her dad just died
OH GOD THEY'RE FUCKING EWWW
hmm the floor here is made out of floor
Bruh why is this so long I just wanna get back to mystery
Hi racist old guy, thanks for saving me from that
RACIST TRUCK OH NO
DON'T KILL HIM WTF???
DEAN STOP FLIRTING A MAN IS DEAD
Why does his whole "don't tell people ur a ghost hunter" thing sound like an allegory for coming out
😎🙂🕶️🤏🤨
dean is so smart with ghosts but so dumb with emotions
OH NO THE RACIST TRUCK IS GONNA KILL CASSIE
she closed tge blinds WELL NOW IT KNOWSUR HOME DUMBASS
oh her mom is white, I just thought I was a dumbass
Cassie's mom fucking murdered that guy
Good for you Martin, kill that racist asshole
How are they not used to seeing rotted bodies at this point?
Racist truck boss battle
Damn sick drifting bbg
Ooh it's snowing!
Bro is bullfighting a racist truck, el Matador
Sam is so brother core, "honestly it hadn't occurred to me" SIR YOU COULD'VE KILLED DEAN
rip, getting dumped for the second time by the same girl
Stop kissing this girl in front of your brother Dean
Sick sunnies, Dean

Just a funny idea that came to mind but let’s say Y/N and her crush are in the middle of a mission and there’s a path they gotta get through but it’s blocked until they notice a hole that should be around Y/N’s size. Y/N looks at her crush with a blank expression for suggesting her to crawl through it and would say “Now’s not the time for jokes, do you really think my ass will fit through that?” And it’s not like she’s wrong, sis has a whole dump truck and thighs to spare for no reason. Thicker than a cold bowl of oatmeal on a Thursday. Just for clarity, she smacks her ass and it makes a resounding clapping sound to further prove she’s too thick for the hole.
I’d love to have Bakugo, Hawks, Dabi, and Shinsou react to that cuz why not? 🌚
a/n: omg is this you short anon? i don't know why, but i didn't see this request until i was literally scrolling through the requests- you should come back to me, you are literally my child- 🌚
warnings: suggestive as FUCK.
genre: crack/headcanons
pairing(s): bakugou x fem! reader, hawks x fem! reader, dabi x fem! reader, shinsou x fem! reader.
Bakugou
Looks at the blocked path, and then realizes he probably can't blow it up without hurting anyone, so he looks around and sees the Y/n sized hole.
"get in the fucking hole, i can't blast this wall without it killing the people behind it."
You look at him likes he crazy, and gesture down to your thighs and ass with a bored expression.
And he just stares back like- 😀 wtf get in the hole woman-
"you think my fat ass can fit in that tiny hole-"
Sees you slap the side of your thigh and just sits there for the longest time, thinking over all his life choices.
"get in the hole."
He deadass wants to see you get stuck now.
Like- get stuck.
See what happens.
Hawks
Sees the hole and his mind immediately is like- g l o r y h o l e.
Actually points it out first that your ass will probably be too fat to get past the hole in the wall.
Offers to help push you through.
I can hear the pornhub theme now-
When you slap your thigh, his mouth starts watering istg-
"if you need help, i can just, push from this side."
This is honestly just another excuse to touch your ass-
"hawks, stop groping me, just push."
"i need to grope for a better hold, baby bird."
Better grip my ass- use your 2nd hero strength-
Dabi
You guys are running, because the hero's are on your ass,
And then he sees the blocked path, and he's like,
Welp- we're fucked 🤠
Then he sees this Y/n sized hole.
"come on, you have to crawl through that hole, then get kurogiri"
"i cant you dumbass, have you seen these thighs?"
Literally tried to throw you into the hole. Doesnt even care that you slapped your thigh.
He doesn't have time for your excuses, the hero's are gonna be there in .2 seconds, you gotta hurry.
He was almost positive Kurogiri was on the other side, so you had to get on the other side and get him to make a portal to the LoV hideout.
Turns out, you were right. Your ass was sticking out on his side, but luckily, your head was with Kurogiri, so you could tell him to help you guys out.
Shinsou
He knows that you won't be able to fit you in the hole,
But when you slap your thighs,
His face is so r e d.
Thinks about throwing you over the wall with his captre weapon,
But then his mind wanders to what else his capture weapon could do to you..
Now he wants you stuck in the hole too-
Like actually, crawl in the hole, I'm sure he can find a way to get you in.
"i think i can fit you in if you squeeze your thighs together"
"yeah, now i should be able to push you through."
Whoops, didn't work.

Bro I’m simultaneously laughing and crying over how quickly buck got off the ladder truck when he realized it was going down. Bestie really said “not again and never again”
The poor ladder truck, it went down so fast. I think this is the 3rd ladder truck they’ve destroyed or lost to a crazy citizen. I wonder what the LA fire department thinks about this lmaoo.
I’m giggling at buck and Taylor avoiding each other but also just want this messy break up to happen already.
BUDDIEEEE BITCHES
LMAOOO NOT CHIMNEY CHUGGING THE GLASS OF WATER AFTER MADDIE SAID I JUST WANNA TALK LMAOOO
Omg they need to stop with the parasites and bugs
“I don’t have your bone structure. I could never pull it off.” PLSSS IM GIGGLING
FROM DEAD PEOPLE, WTFFFFFFFF
Ohhhhhh poor Karen, I would still be bothered by it too. Hen should be a little more understanding man.
Nvm why’d I even doubt hen, of course she was understanding
YAYYYY DISPATCH MADDIE
HOW DID THEY GET A LADDER TRUCK SO FAST WTF
Not the team interrupting buck so he doesn’t say anything morbid and it all failing just for buck to dramatically say “until they stick a knife in it.”
IM DEAD HOW DID BOBBY NOT KNOW
BATHENA HONEYMOONNNNNN
Wtf did I just watch, IF THAT COUPLES DIES IM THROWING HANDSSSSSSS WITH 9-1-1 WRITERS. OH THEY DID NOT JUST MAKE HIM FORGET 6-7 YEARS OF HIS FUCKING LIFE. AHHHHHHHHH
DAMNNNN BUCKLEY SIBLINGS WITH RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS
okay that couple deserves better, 9-1-1 writers really screwed them over. Okay that couple is cute but having a flashback montage of them was not great use of air time. No one kill me
OMG BT FIGHTTTT, HES ON THE STAIRSSSS. OMG HE MUST HAVE ALOT OF SHIT TO SAY. Also….. that green shirt looks mighty fine on him.
Omg damnnn this is exactly what I wanted, thank you 9-1-1 writerssss. Me yelling “drag her”
Oop “clean slate” “just not together”
Also I can tell Oliver stark was mad excited to film this scene, I just know it.
YAYYY MAY AND EDDIE FRIENDSHIPPPPP
ooooo not Bobby problems, just let this man resttttt. EEEEEHHHH ITS GONNA BE AN EDDIE AND BOBBY SCENE WOHOOOO
Also eddie looks so fucking good standing like that. okay Eddie this seasons has been saying shit that hits to close to home, like that scene with his father. Daddy issues me too. Now this scene with Bobby about him taking credit of all the good things too not just the bad. Sounds like every time my therapist has talked to me.
FUCKKKK LEAVE BOBBY ALONE, LET HIM BREATH FOR JUST TWO SECONDS. IM SO GLAD EDDIE VISITED HIM NOW I JUST NEED BOOBY TO THROW THAT BOTTLE OF ALCOHOL AWAY. OMG HE OPENED THE BOTTLE. YAYYY HE DUMPED IT
YAYYYYYY SURPRISE HEN KAREN VOW RENEWAL. OMG NEA LOOKS SO CUTE, NOT DENNY WALKING THEM DOWN THE AILE IGHHHHHHH SO CUTE.
Ewww BT, WHY DOES SHE HAVE HER HAND ON HIS FACE, WHY ARE THEY SMILING, IM CONFUSED. Is this what being an adult is like, being mature because if so I don’t like it, WHERE IS THE PETTY?
I’m mad maddie didn’t have more of a reaction to chimney literally PUNCHING BUCK IN THE FACE. You know, buck the man who she raised as her own son and her brother.
EHHH CHRISSSSSSS AND EDDIE. ADORABLE
BATHENA HONEYMOONNNN
Why are they walking? Someone could literally be dying? YAY EDDIEEE, but like I needed a scene of him saying he’s back like when he left but fine this is good too.
Great season finale

Maria watches friday night lights (#32)
5x09 ahhh my heart is singing for Chicago!Matt already
recap/flailing under the cut:
Ah it makes sense that East Dillon fell apart and ruined their undefeated record after the way that last episode went!
“Really??” As Jess and the maintenance workers are still cleaning up they turn off the lights??? No respect!
Ahhh they’re showing Luke and Vince arguing in the locker room interspersed with the actual game? This show is magic.
Eric found them arguing and kicked them out the field house lol
“That wasn’t a team out there, folks, it was a bunch of individuals trying...” fitting last radio sound byte before Eric throws the radio in the trash lol
OMG MATTS CHICAGO APT IS SO CUTE AND ADULT AND GROWN UP. He’s folding a blanket??? Fuck me up
She stayed all weekend and doesn’t want to leave?! Ok ok I see y’all but that does seem a little irresponsible, Julie.
Is Matt wearing a live strong bracelet? Lol sign of the times
“Look, we all know the problem: it’s Vince, he’s lost his team.” Ooooh good line to go into the theme song on!
“I suck at Texas history.” IS THAT AN ACTUAL CLASS IN TEXAS???? STOP IT. Stop it right now!!! This cannot be real!
“Baby boy is graduating, it’s the last time they’ll see me in the little lions uniform.” LOL Becky and Luke are cute
Ew it sucks that Luke can’t invite Becky out after this last home game with his parents but also who would want to go to dinner with his trash mom sooo I’m conflicted.
Eric wants Luke on QB today?! well then
Oh god Mindy feels like she’s gonna puke?? Oh no is she pregnant again??
“I could take your shift.” Oh Beckyyyy and Mindy is like, no no no lol
I cringe every time Vince’s dad talks to him about football. His mom seems to be cringing too in the corner...
Becky looks really cute waiting tables but yeeeesh she’s a teenage girl and a fully grown man is putting a dollar in her undies. Yikes! Although once she counted that $$$ she was like I AM WOMAN I AM POWER lol
Eric and Tami’s little walk and talks in school are so precious
Awww Becky used her tip money to get Luke a gift to wear to his dinner? “You know I get it because she kinda freaks me out too but you didn’t do anything about it.” Yeah that about sums it up.
Wtf Vince is turning on Jess now too?? She’s appropriately angry! “Yeah cause it’s never Vince’s fault huh? I can’t believe you! You’re really trying to blame me for coach being mad at you?” Ooooh she said it.
OH SHIT did Jess just dump Vince’s ass?
Aw Epyck being good with Gracie is so cute.
Julie and Matt look hot and very natural walking down the street together in Chicago. Aw and she feels like she fits here but didn’t at college. Be a city gal, join us!!! Lol
“It’s frustrating bc I miss you and I miss us, and tonight watching you with all these people it’s like you’ve moved on and it’s sucks.” Awww Julie and then Matt immediately kissed her to shut her up! “I’ve been waiting to do that ever since you showed up.” This is SUCH a romantic ass city kiss!
Honestly out of all the characters Matt and Julie are the ones I can see being city folks the most so that tracks for me.
Jess helping Luke with the plays instead of Vince, she’s such a good one.
Omg Matt and Julie are so cute in bed together, Matt again saying he missed her as he plays with her hair. 🥺
She’s gonna tell him about the TA thing right? Yep okay good honesty is important.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/81e763522a341f41611e67aa1dee1fe4/5f8570d423776571-33/s540x810/7e71c6b9a9b4f919161b349634f96a7842501dd2.jpg)
Awww Matt being so supportive and nonjudgmental! My heart! He’s such a good guy I’m dead 😭
“I hope this won’t freak you out, but I think you and I need to, um...we need to go get breakfast.” LOL I LOVE HIM HES SO CUTE god
Oh shit Eric’s benching Vince for not helping Luke! Man of his word, he does not play!
“The big deal is I’m an adult and you’re not.” Yeah Becky, Mindy’s argument seems pretty sound considering we’re talking about you, a teenage girl, working at a strip club. Just...wait till you’re an adult, gurl! You’re almost there!
Oh god Mindy’s irritable, is she preggers???
Anddd she does not seem happy about it....
Yeeesh Tami just slammed her head trying to break up this fight between Epyck and Laurel? Fuck
Yay I was right about Vince’s mom. “I think you maybe don’t have to take his advice all the time. You have a good head on your shoulders, use it, okay!” YES MAMA TELL HIM!!!
Omfg they’re gonna arrest Epyck for this even tho Tami is saying not to bc it was an accident??? Y’all really hate students of color with trauma, damn...the fact that Laurel thought it was okay to call Epyck a psycho in front of a lot of people too? School to prison pipeline in action, folks.
Aw Eric found Jess crying alone in the locker room 🥺 poor baby
We stan Eric. He told Jess not to apologize for crying and to “take all the time you need.” AWWWW
“I don’t wanna be your safety net.” Matt is right—Julie’s clearly avoiding stuff! “I wish you could stay longer, I wish you lived here but you...don’t live here.” He’s right! Gurl! Ugh being 18/19 is so hard!
Omg Billy’s excitement about Mindy being pregnant again is insane. He said “who cares?” about Mindy having to quit her job and she seems much more concerned than he does about the very real health care concerns.
“My boys can swim,” Billy says, putting THE PEE STICK IN HIS MOUTH?? I’m dead, Mindy just saying “I peed on that” and him removing it. WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS BILLYYY
Ugh poor Epyck :( this system has failed her! And poor Tami tried so hard.
Ah, Eric is getting turned onto the idea of not coaching teens but adults instead—fair!
Omg Luke stopped by Eric’s after 10 to say he’s too scared to be quarterback?? Oh babe.
Awww Senior Day is here. Look at Luke’s trash mom!
“How much time do you need? You’re not milking a cow out there!!” Lol
Yeeeesh now everyone’s chanting “we want Vince.” Ugh imagine being Luke rn
Why is Vince’s dad literally mad? Luke is doing well lol
Yesss lions win!! You did it baby! They’re going to the playoffs!
Oh geez and now Vince has to stop his dad from storming the field and cursing Eric Taylor out! Jesus.
Aww Luke getting his little victory kiss from Becky and bringing her along. His mom is such an asshole, she’s literally gawking at Becky. Bless the dad for being like “why not?”
“He kissed her. Did you see that he kissed her?” Ew Luke’s mom how do you think she got pregnant the last time...?
Aww and off Julie goes, hopefully this time to stop avoiding her problems in that lil blue car? FUCK ME UPPP matt pulling a classic move yelling and running after her, “Julie!!!!!”
“It’s all gonna be okay, all right? We’ll figure it out.” As they’re in the street?? With the I love yous and a truck honking?? Are you kidding me? How romantic...and then she has to get back in the car and drive away oh my HEART the romantic angst!
The episode ending in Matt watching her car drive away from him!!!! Art!

Game of wtf
I’m so sad and disappointed with GOT season 8, and it is a case study in how writing goes whooshing down the toilet as soon as you start subordinating your characters and universe to hit specific predetermined story beats.
I say all of this even as a huge Jaime/Brienne fan, where it’s not so much that I’ve been handed a delicious frosty treat as they’ve backed up an entire ice cream truck playing the GOT music as a jingle. But it’s like they took all the good subtle character-focused writing from all the other seasons and dumped it into that one storyline.
It’s all the worse that I’m really not into their choice of predetermined story beats, which despite my holding out hope clearly at this point seems to be the heroic narrative of how noble honorable Jon Snow comes to his predestined rightful throne, a deeply exhausted high fantasy trope that is absolutely contrary to the entire spirit of the show and the books. I’m even less here for them turning Daenerys psychotic in order to create justification for him getting this rightful throne over presumably her dead body and even more dead characterization. @cesperanza said, spot on, that the conversation between Tyrion and Varys this episode (“What happens to her?”) sounded exactly like a writer’s room conversation where they had to figure out how to get her out of the way of their chosen plotline. The gross fridging of Missandei this episode in order to further that narrative was even more unpleasant.
But honestly I was prepared for that narrative, they have been signaling it so hard since last season with the emphasis on Jon’s legitimacy and Daenerys destroying the Lannister army and burning the Tarlys. I still didn’t want it, but I was braced for it. I was not prepared for all the writing on the scene level to go this completely to shit in the service of that narrative. It’s all gone SO BAD. I can’t even talk about one thing because I’d be summarizing the entire episodes.
I will at this point be glad when it’s over and I can just fix it myself in post. :P Which I can and will! But what a fucking WASTE of this cast, of this material, of these resources. /rantwhine concluded

Hitting Jock Bottom
I felt like shit. The throbbing headache told me to stay in bed. Actually, wise from hangovers past I should go and drink water and then take a nap and hope things would turn out better the next time I wake up. Those thoughts quickly went through my mind, still foggy from whatever had transpired the night before. I didn't remember what had happened nor how I had gotten here, but this was definitely not my bed.
Harsh white light lit the sparse, tiled room as I opened my eyes. I was strapped on some sort of gurney that was tilted at an angle between lying down and standing up. My body was secured, but I could move my head around enough to see that I wore something resembling a dark blue wetsuite. Cables and tubes where attached to various points and snaked away to a cluster of machines and drip bags to my right. Still groggy, and more confused than scared, I was trying to sort through all the different sensations. Most prominent of all was something big was stuck in my mouth, and I felt like I needed to take a dump.
*squeak*
The sound when I bit down resembled a doggy squeaky toy.
*squeak*
Before I had any time to consider this new, perplexing weirdness a door opened and closed behind me and a man in white shirt, tie and labcoat came into view.
"I do apologise, we are a bit understaffed at the moment. I try to be present for every arrival". He checked something on one of the machines next to me. "Good, good. Just waking up I see. Welcome to Goldfarb Body Shop and Repairs. I imagine you are feeling some confusion at the moment. It's perfectly normal when our services are purchased for someone else. My name is Rob, and I will take care of your process initiation."
My head still hurt like hell and very little of this made sense, beside the feeling confused part. Rob was in his forties and looked every bit like a lab technician. A lab technician who was high on sugar and couldn't wait to talk to other people.
Rob picked up a clipboard and quickly eyed the first two pages. "Let's start with the basics. As I think I heard, you have already figured out how to use the signalling device in your mouth piece. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but we've had so much problem with people just screaming. Totally ruins the schedule. I would like you to signal once for yes, twice for no and three times to have the question repeated. Do you understand?"
*squeak*
"Excellent! Are you Jonathan Brent, social security number 078-05-1120?"
*squeak*
"Great. It would be so embarrassing to have the wrong person. In the old days we used to invite people to retreats through sham lottery winnings and have them participate in yoga and meditation, and slowly work with them from there, but the way technology has progressed we don't need any cooperation at all anymore. A bit less personal but so much more efficient."
He looked at the clipboard once again. "So someone has purchased, for you, one of our discount packages. Great value! This one is called 'jock bottom'. We are so lucky to have such a creative sales and marketing team. This bundle contains four transformation modules, well three of any substance. We have Muscleman, Meathead, Cunting and then our QA/Design module. I'll explain all of them briefly."
Muscleman, Meathead and Cunting. Whatever this place was and what they were planning to do, I didn't like the sound of any of them. Well, muscleman didn't sound terrible, but I've never been that interested in anything physical. I do the occasional jog and play some volley at the beach, but nothing regular. And I don't even know what cunting means.
Rob continued "Muscleman is about 50% of the transformation effort in the bundle. We'll use state of the art, fast acting genetic editing and gene therapy to overhaul the genetic makeup of your body. Then a combination of stem cells, hormone manipulation and viral reconstruction to actually express those genes as physical changes. In addition to biochemistry we have a set of contraptions that can force tissue to build how and where we want it."
He was looking up from the clipboard and looking into my eyes. "It gets much easier if you cooperate with all given instructions. We will not sacrifice the quality of our work, it just take different amount of time to get there. The changes are pronounced, profound and permanent, to quote our motto."
This is terrible! Somehow someone somewhere has paid these guys to force me into becoming a some sort of body builder. Who does that? How is that technology even possible?
"The Muscleman module also has a small educational component where we ensure that the target has the needed knowledge, skill and motivation to keep the body in great condition long after QA acceptance. This is done, in addition to reinforcing genetic changes, through psycotherapy and metabolic conditioning." Rob was clearly reading marketing text from the clipboard. "The end result is multiple layers of reinforcing behaviors. Eating triggers restlessness triggers excersie. Excersise triggers hunger trigers eating."
"Now the second module is the Meathead module. It's about 20% of the transformation and is a bit more involved than it first appears. First it reinforces the mental conditioning from the Muscleman module, and adds significantly more knowledge and interest in physical activities. But it also removes some of the previous drives and abilities of the target."
This was getting worse and worse.
*squeak* *squeak*
Rob looked up from the clipboard, distracted from his reading. "What? Ah. No? No, it's all already being ordered and paid for, but don't worry, there will be plenty of opportunity to give feedback and consent later. Where were we, yes Meathead. We will run a series of tests in an MRI where we will map your brain. Then we'll insert articulated, microscopic wires through your nose and into your brain, cut out small sections and replace them with stem cells with DNA we coded. You'll see major results instantly after the operation! We'll then stimulate the brain with the right chemicals, electrical impulses and sensory data, and you'll know 50 different ways of excersising your deltoid in no time." He looked up again, excitedly going off script. "We have this cool transcranial stimulation head gear you put on, and then every movement you do while you wear it you will be able to replicate exactly afterwards. Dead lifts, break dance, karate chops, you name it! Super cool. Well, you will not use it for karate or dancing though."
No fucking way! Replacing parts of the brain. Reprogramming? These people are sick.
"Then we have the Cunting module. This is also mainly a behavior module, but it will turn you into a very submissive, very promiscuous homosexual. The principle is the same as the Meathead module, but instead of cramming sports teams and being rewarded for squatting correctly, you'll be flooded with gay porn and being conditioned with chemically induced orgasms on anal stimulation. I can promise you that you will love it. After all, the point is that you should love it so much you would arrange your life around sucking dick, getting fucked and working out."
WTF!
"The last 10% is spent on quality assurance and design. We'll remove genetic problems, administer a broad set of vaccinations, slow down aging, etc. This is a standard module for all our work. Good for you to know is that it includes HIV immunity and protects against all known long term STDs. The design part is that one of our character designer will spend 30 minutes to review your build and allocate some minor work to make it coherent. Since there is no purely cosmetic change included in your package, except for the muscles, perhaps the designer will move the hairline forward to make a more youthful look, or broaden the nose a bit to make you look imposing."
Getting massive muscles and being forced to keep them was a survivable event. Some people get stuck in wheel chairs. Some people need to inject insulin daily. Having to eat clean and go to the gym was really nothing compared to that. Having the brain rearranged was way worse, but I could suffer a stroke. Becoming some sort of muscle-homo-sub was something different entirely. How the fuck could I get out of this?
"We're a bit pressed on time, as I mentioned, so I'll get right to it. We have a set of customization options to run you through. All are simply select one option out of three. Just signal once for option one, twice for two, three times for three and four times to have them repeated."
"The first option is selecting the major profile for the Meathead module. This one is important and informs a lot of the following customizations, so pay attention. Option 1 is called 'jock' and is the standard athletic option. Lot's of interest in sports, both as a participant and as an observer, spending your nights in areans or sports bars. Option 2 is called 'douche' and is the party and exhibitionist option. You'll spend your time in bodybuilding competitions, getting photographed, or clubbing. Finally option 3 is called "bear" and is the strongman option. This includes lumberjack, handyman or motorcycle specializations, with nights in leather bars or truck stops."
I'm not playing this fucking game. If I'm not saying anything it is something that happens to me, not something I've done.
"Once for jock, twice for douche, thrice for bear. You should know that the Muscleman module isn't affected, so the muscled build will look the same regardless of option here. The focus is primarily muscle size and secondly strength. Agility, stamina or coordination are not something actively worked on, but possible to train yourself of course."
We look at each other in silence. I can't tell from his voice if he is mocking or serious when he misunderstands my silence.
"I know it is difficult to make a decision. I'll put a time limit of 30 seconds per question and pick something for you. We do typically alter the body hair to match each major theme. Jock gets pretty standard body hair, but clean back and chest, douche gets no hair below the neck and bear gets hair everywhere. There is also some differences in skin tanning."
After presumably 30 seconds he continues.
"OK, let's go with option 1. Jock is our most popular option. It's in the name of the package after all. Let's continue with some specifics. For every question you can either select what you find most exciting today, or what you would like to find exciting. If you pick something you already love, that will make the transition easier. So, what sport are you most interested in. One football, two hockey or three soccer?"
I continue my silent treatment. I'm not much into any of them anyway.
"OK, let's go with soccer. That's big internationally, so there is always something to watch. Next, what would you prefer out of basket, baseball or lacrosse?"
...
"Nothing? Not yet a sports fan, eh? Let's mix it up with something more niche and pick lacrosse. Final sport, MMA, Boxing or Wrestling?"
I have looked at a some wrestling, but being a fan is a bit of a stretch.
"Let's go with MMA then. Final question in this module: do you prefer Sweatpants, basketball shorts or compression shorts? I should mention that the questions going forward are a bit reflective. With the full homosexual module, there is really no difference between what you like to wear and what you are attracted to."
How could I relate to that question, even if I wanted to answer. Would I like to be attracted to men in sweatpants? I don't want to be fucking attracted to men at all!
"Basketball shorts then! We're almost there. Just a few simple customizations in the cunting module. What excites you the most? Licking asses, licking feet or licking armpits?"
Fuck! I can't let it be asses. What is best of feet or armpits? What is least worst?
*squeak* *squeak* ... *squeak*
"Oh, we got some interest. Licking armpits it will be. What ejaculations would you be most excited about? In your mouth, in your ass, or both at the same time?"
Is being fucked better or worse than giving a blow job? You would be more in control of a blow job, but you would have to do all the work for it. Both at the same time is clearly worse. Why do I even have to think about this?
*squeak*
"Excellent! An upcoming supreme fellator. Finally an ethnic question. What would you find most attractive? Middle eastern men, northen Latin American men or west African men?"
For a split second I felt very racist as I rejected each of the alternatives. What would be worse though? I imagine trying to find muslims to suck off could backfire in so many ways? Black or Latino then? I really have no idea what their gay communities look like.
*squeak* *squeak* *squeak*
"West African men it is. So, if I've noted everything down correctly you want to become a jock with special interest in soccer, lacrosse and MMA, attracted to West African men wearing basketball shorts, who you most would like to lick their armpits and have them ejaculate in your mouth. Is that correct?"
*squeak*
"Excellent! It's such a waste of time when people don't consent after all that work. All of this would be a loss and we would have to refund the money."
FUCK! *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *pfff* ...
Rob turned a small knob on the mouth piece that turned off the toy sound.
"So, we will go right ahead and synthesize the DNA and inject that in a few hours. Then you'll basically be knocked out and in fever for the better part of a week while the major rewrite happens. We'll do the brain mapping towards the end and perform the minor surgeries after that. Then one week of initial programming while the surgeries heal and the initial set of tissue stem cell injections start to grow. Week three and forward will be a daily rotation of gym time, injections and programming, mostly in the fuck lab. With your cooperation we could be done as quickly as 10 weeks."
FUCK NO! FUCK NO!
"While we wait for those viruses to be completed we are going to run you through a cleansing sequence. You can see it as a full body enema, so we can implant a new set of bacteria more helpful to our goals."
He pressed a few buttons and the gurney tilted back almost to a flat position. Some sort of numbing fluid was spraying in my mouth after which something started extending down my throat. At the same time I could feel the plug in my ass inflating and altering its configuration.

I will not kill my boss, I will not kill my boss...
First, let me start off by saying there are no words to convey the amount of rage and shock I'm feeling right now over last week. We all know what I'm talking about, so I'm going to leave it at that, because people with more eloquent words than I have conveyed my thoughts better than I ever could.
So instead, I will explain why my rage is in danger of being transferred to my boss.
He lost the spare key after locking his keys in the main office and hasn't been able to get in there since Saturday. He can't take the hinges off the door because they're held on by a special screw/bolt (historic building) and the tool was taken to his Mom's house and is now missing.
My other boss has tested positive for Covid and sounds like his entire nasal cavity is full of snot and he's having issues breathing because of it (his O2 levels are good, he feels fine other than bad congestion). He's tried to communicate with 1st boss and Favored CoWorker yesterday, but nobody understands wtf he's talking about so when I came in I had to translate other-boss-speak to human-eese. Which was all for nothing because the stuff he wanted done I'd already mentioned on Friday and it was done by Saturday afternoon.
Boss is now seeing if he can somehow get into the office through one of the windows, which haven't been opened in about 10 years because someone painted them shut.
Boss' Brother (who is other-other Boss) is in Europe for a month, and he took the keys to the dump truck and one of the work rooms with him by accident. He had the only set of keys for both.
Shannon (other Shannon) has been trying to get cleaning supplies for about a month and nobody mentioned it to me until Friday. I told Boss he had a choice - either stop and get what we need or I'd set up a subscription from Amazon. He asked for a shopping list, took one look at it, cursed in his native tongue and went shopping. Today he asked me to set up a subscription from amazon for all the items. With coupons I was able to get everything for about $50 cheaper than he paid at Home Depot. He asked why I didn't tell him I could do that. twitch
A tenant on the 11th floor tried to install his own window unit AC. Not only did he knock the scree out of the window, but he also dropped the AC and somehow popped the sash out. They're all in the alley now.
And it's only 10:30.

Week 7: July 4 - July 10
Its 30 minutes passed midnight on a Monday and week 7 was a lot too.
I worked the entirety 4th of July the weekend plus more days.
I watched more movies and am in the middle of watching Seven Pounds. But what’s crazy I started a 16 episode K-Drama, 16 hours total this drama has and still have not finished it. I like it but I think I figured what I don’t like about it. I think I have three or four episodes left.
The drama is called Abyss and regardless I do actually like it and will continue watching it. What it don’t like about it are typical things in all stories but its the way it’s played out. The male lead is creepy. Not the best way to put it but he’s on this weird crush land crash where he’s definitely been for a while but he got engaged. Not saying this scenario is not possible but it just... not executed well? Male lead always had a crush on the Prosecutor Go but Go introduced him to his now ex-fiancé. The flashbacks we get of him and the fiancé are that they are so in love but also I lowkey got a marrying for money vibe from her and was not mad about that. I think the way the break up was done was well thought out because it sounded suspicious because why would you say that stuff in that way especially if you were in it for the money. And being truly in it for the money, would me she would have the power to maybe manipulate him into getting plastic surgery because he is so in love with her. An ugly face does not stop the majority from chasing a bag. After all that shit that went down in episode 1 we get “ugly” to “handsome” male lead. And the reverse happens to the cocky female lead (Prosecutor Go) because she was cocky.
Now there is only so many episodes but they are an hour long each. And as they try to solve crime and hide from a murderer (largely kinda bad at both). The male lead tries to kick it off with Prosecutor Go because his ex fiance is a cheater and liar and he still likes Go. (SHE DID WHAT SHE HAD TO DO. I DONT BLAME HER. ) Which is were the problem lies. A serial killer who is targeting nearly all of yall is on the lose and you still tryna kiss someone who said no. Like she did initiate the first one if I remember correctly but uh idk about continuing it like this. Its some weird forced thing and I just don’t see any chemistry. Maybe if GO’s character was created differently? We mostly get flashbacks about how cocky she is about her looks. I slightly don’t blame her but then it’s more of yeah i’d ignore a group of a bunch of men trying to ask me out everyday. Which makes me wonder how Go and the lead know each other? Like they show them in middle school? together and he knew about a math problem better than her but there’s no explanation to the separation from then to the other flashbacks. Like he’s in the group of men always following her trying to ask her out but then in one episode she's like “nooo i gave you the box of chocolates because I liked you duh. so obvious.” like it really ain’t and the scenario he said is really more believable that hers. The flashbacks line up to what he said. It’s not surprising that Go would get so many boxes of chocolate that she wouldn’t just pass them around for others to have.
Also the lead is..He’s just not smooth about and is so bad at reading the room when its a good idea to do it. Sometimes he does it in front of his ex and it gives off this weird trying to get back at you vibe when it just does not hit because his ex did all of that to protect herself and her mom from a crazy serial killer. Like the serial killer shows up near all of them and he only worries about Go like they’re both so into each other but they’re not. And he does that whole I’m a manly man I protect and it just does not fit him.
I think most of my problem is that he’s moving on in the weirdest way. Like maybe if went out and partied first instead of having this my-fiance-dumped-me-i-tried-[redacted]-and-say-its-all-of-Go’s-fault-but-I-lived-and-now-im-super-handsome-let-me-try-to-get-back-with-my-fiance-because-something-was-off-about-that-call-and-she-said-she-was-pregs-oh-saw-her-get-hit-buy-a-truck-revived-oh-she-said-where-Go-was-located-and-almost-got-her-killed-im-mad-wtf-and-shes-not-pregs-:(-oh-she-did-all-of-that-bc-of-her-mom-i-guess-ill-help-but-fuck-her-i-still-like-Go??? Can this be a little more healthier please?
Anyways, the plan for this week is to legit stretch everyday. Blender donut or frog. Crochet more clouds. I forgot to mention I crocheted a cloud. I don’t know if I mentioned that last post but I did it on Wednesday during a zoom with my roommates and it was near the end. and make one more palette and post them. my orginal plan was five palettes and post but damn the dishes are still not over. also this collage video idea and more jobs applied to this week than last. Honestly turning in four in one day was a lot with the systems going on.
I have work later today and my first ASL 2 test (bruh already???)

|Long-Awaited Savior: Part Five|
I’m not kidding, so much for this being a one-shot. I have a feeling there’s a lot more to come. This is a long ass chapter
Check out previous chapters and the Masterlist
Characters: Negan (JDM) x female reader
Words: 3,809 (WTF)
Heads up: hefty amount of swearing, vivid walker violence, verbal altercations, no smut this time (lo siento, my smut-loving beauties)
Initial Setup: Negan & the Saviors overrun your community and dole out some long overdue justice, changing your life in the process.
Chapter Summary: Negan unexpectedly invites you on a supply run, and it completely backfires.
Part Five: Backfire of Arrogance
The morning bell rang promptly at 6am. The booming clang of the metal monstrosity quickly jolted you from your slumber, and you had to fight against the overwhelming desire to stay in bed.
He’ll kill you if you miss another day of work.
Rolling your eyes to yourself, you stretched your legs out slowly beneath your sheets. After a few seconds and a deep breath in, your threw the blankets off in one quick motion, promptly squealing as the air hit your skin. You reluctantly jumped from the bed and hastily grabbed your jeans, tugging them on as you decided the shirt you slept in still had another day of wear before the scent became too noticeable. To be safe - and not freezing - you pulled a worn, heavy sweatshirt on over it.
For a split second, the feeling of donning the cozy garment flashed memories of the old world through your mind. You remembered curling up on a couch, a mug of hot tea in one hand and a romance novel in the other. The memory almost seemed like a fantasy - couches, tea, and books? You hadn’t had time for any of those since everything changed.
It wasn’t just the world that had changed… you had changed, too.
You shoved your feet into your worn sneakers and chanced a glance in the dull mirror hanging on the wall.
Dear holy fuck, this better not be what I looked like last night.
Grabbing a brush from the top drawer of your dresser, you yanked it hurriedly through your hair and - after a few rather stubborn knots - decided it would be good enough for today. Hair ties were another luxury of the old world you hadn’t dared to dream of. You usually managed to make a piece of string last a week or two, but you couldn’t be bothered with much of anything today. With a quick look around your room and another deep breath in, you pulled the door open and headed down the hallway, joining a steady stream of community members descending down the stairwell.
Upon reaching the bottom, everyone began to split off toward their respective job sites. You tucked your chin to your chest and shoved your hands into your pockets as you made your way through the crowd to the small mechanical building at the other end of the compound. As you passed by the commissary building, you were yanked from your trancelike state by the sound of someone yelling your name. You turned to look behind you and saw Janice breathlessly running towards you with a pair of boots clutched to her chest. She was in charge of stocking the commissary and had always been a model of kindness & understanding toward you, but it wasn’t like her to make intentional contact.
“Here, take these,” she panted, dumping the boots into your arms. Your forehead scrunched in question as you clumsily accepted them and stuttered, “Wait, Janice, I… I don’t need these.. you looking for someone else?” With a quick smirk and a shake of her head, she replied, “Might not need them now, but I guess you will soon. Take them. Boss gave the orders. I don’t argue, and neither should you.” And with that, she turned and hurried through the passing crowd back to the commissary entrance.
A dozen different thoughts were busy racing through your head when you felt a strong hand grasp your shoulder. You jumped, still slightly on edge from the events of two nights ago, as you heard Simon’s voice close to your ear.
“Put ‘em on… Boss says you’re coming along on the run today.”
You completely froze as you registered the words he just spoke, and upon seeing the mortified look on your face, Simon laughed heartily and playfully clapped you on the back. “C’mon sweetheart, you’ll be fine. We ain’t gonna let anything happen to you. Seriously though, put ‘em on. Trucks are heading out in ten minutes, and we don’t leave late.”
Why the fuck is Negan pulling this shit?
Unless he’s trying to get me killed. This is a good way to accomplish that.
While Simon jogged off to the front entrance where there were undoubtedly several trucks lined up, you felt horribly disconnected from yourself as you sat down on a nearby curb and pulled your deteriorated sneakers from your feet. Even though they had served you well over the years, you knew they were well past their time. You noticed a pang of nostalgia and loss as you slowly dropped them into the trash bin a few feet away and turned back to the brown leather boots laying in front of you.
Here goes fucking nothing.
You tugged them on and tightened the laces until you felt a perfect amount of support and comfort, and trudged over to the front of the compound. Sure enough, the trucks were waiting just as Simon said they would be, and then you saw him - twirling that god-forsaken, barb-wrapped baseball bat and strutting around in his leather jacket. Your breath caught in your chest and you felt your jaw clench, but you continued on your path until you stood amongst the strongest of the Saviors: those entrusted with the task of supply runs. Standing there awkwardly, you felt Negan’s gaze finally settle on you.
“Well, would you look at that!”
You grimaced and raised your eyes to see a massive shit-eating grin plastered just below eyes that sparkled with mischief and lust. He ran his tongue slowly across his bottom lip and shook his head ever so slightly as he dragged his gaze up and down your body. You shot him an irritated look and he responded with a deep belly laugh and a wink as he sauntered to the front of the group gathered around you, twirling his beloved Lucille with his leather-gloved hand.
“Looks like we’re all present and fucking accounted for now, so let’s get the hell out of here and get ourselves some fucking supplies!” he bellowed, and the mass of bodies in front of him whooped and hollered in eager anticipation. He circled his finger above his head and the group quickly dispersed among the trucks. You froze, completely unsure of where to go as Negan took long, lazy strides toward you. Upon reaching you, he grinned and threw his arm around your shoulders, pulling you forward to the truck at the front of the convoy. He leaned his head down until his lips were nearly touching your ear and playfully growled, “You’re comin’ with me, doll.”
There is no way this doesn’t end really fucking poorly.
You climbed into the front seat and suddenly found yourself wedged between Simon and Negan. As the doors slammed shut and the engine roared to a start, you couldn’t help but wonder how you had managed to end up in this position. Just two days ago, you were humming to yourself in a quiet courtyard while you raked up garbage. Now? You were thigh-to-thigh with the two most powerful men in the Sanctuary, en route to god-knows-where to gather supplies.
I’ve either died and gone to hell, or I’m about to get there.
The truck’s tires crunched over gravel and the three of you jostled in unison with the bumps in the road as you went into a sort of daze. Barren fields and forests passed by in a blur as Negan whistled jovially to himself, arm hanging out of the open window. The wind whipped your hair in front of your face, but you were lost in your thoughts, dull flashbacks haunting the recesses of your mind.
“Hey, I said which one do you want?”
You forced yourself back to reality and turned to see Simon staring at you expectantly, holding a pistol in one hand and a machete in the other. You only hesitated for a moment before pulling the blade onto your lap and returning your gaze to the front window. Negan chuckled and shook his head as he quietly rumbled, “Didn’t figure you for a sword girl, but goddamn, you’re just full of fucking surprises aren’t you?” You shrugged and remained quiet for a moment before explaining yourself.
“I don’t get why everyone doesn’t use a knife. Guns jam, they misfire, they run out of ammo… but even a dull blade can hack the head off a walker. The goddamn noise alone on a gun draws the dead for what seems like miles. Blade like this? You can hit precisely where you want to hit and you can feel them die, silently. It’s all about control, Negan. I’m sure you can appreciate that.”
The look he shot you was a warning, and you caught the message. It wasn’t just you and him tangled together in your bedroom anymore… today, he was the leader of the Saviors. He both commanded and demanded respect, and you just gave him sass in front of his right hand man. You mumbled a sloppy apology and he returned his eyes to the road.
“SHIT!”
You were launched forward into your seatbelt as the tires squealed to a halt in the middle of the road. You heard shouts and more tire squeals from the caravan of trucks behind you. Negan slammed his palm against the steering wheel as he swore to himself and barked, “Get the fuck out, we’ve got some fucking dead to deal with.” You could feel your heart pounding in your chest and a bruise from the seatbelt beginning to form across your hips as the doors to the truck swung open violently and Negan and Simon jumped out, calling out orders to the other Saviors. You brought your eyes up to the road and felt the blood drain from your face as you took in the sight in front of you.
What the actual fuck…
A massive herd of walkers was shuffling around a curve in the road and heading directly toward you. Their groans and snarls were audible even from inside the truck. You began counting, but gave up just seconds later as you realized the sheer number of bodies heading your way. There had to be at least a hundred, maybe more.
This is it. We’re here. We found hell.
Simon only had to bellow out your name once for you to be shaken from your petrified state. You inhaled deeply as you pulled your seatbelt off and jumped from the truck, machete gripped tightly in your hand. The noise of the herd was a discordant symphony of death and decay, and the stench already reaching your nostrils was enough to trigger your gag reflex. You forced yourself to run forward to join the Saviors lining up near Negan and Simon, wincing with each step as the bruises on your hips settled even deeper. You realized the only reason they would have dragged you along on this trip was because they believed you could handle yourself.
Don’t fucking prove them wrong.
A vast spread of empty fields sprawled to your right, and a dense forest lined the road to the left. The sun was blocked by thick layers of dark clouds, and the steady gusts of wind made the air feel cool against your face. Negan was hastily calling out instructions to the mass of people surrounding you as the herd drew dangerously nearer. Simon stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Negan, and they both turned simultaneously to face the herd.
“GIVE ‘EM HELL!”
Don’t die. Just don’t fucking die.
The Saviors rushed forward in two groups, led by Simon and Negan, and began to split the herd in half. You ran with them along the left flank, your feet awkwardly clomping the ground in the unfamiliar boots. You were close enough now to see the peeling skin and lifeless eyes. You tightened your grasp on your blade as you brought it back and swung forward with all your might, connecting with the neck of the walker before you.
The weapon was unexpectedly sharp, and you were thrown off balance by how easily it sliced through the dead flesh and sent the head tumbling to the ground as the body crumpled before you. You stumbled for a moment, regaining your footing just in time to send the blade arcing into the top of the head of an approaching roamer. The body instantly went limp, but your machete remained lodged in its skull. You tugged hard, trying to pry it free as you felt other walkers closing in. The Saviors seemed almost superhuman as they fired their guns and thrust their knives, mowing down walkers at an impressive rate. You caught a glimpse of Lucille swinging through the air near the front and tugged at your blade with even more urgency as the thought of disappointing Negan surged to the forefront of your mind.
Your machete finally slid free and you took several hasty steps backward to put some distance between yourself and the approaching walkers. You wound up and swung hard, cleanly decapitating another walker as three more lunged toward you. As you took another step back, your foot slipped down the steep incline of the ditch and you stumbled and fell backwards.
Your back hit the ground with a sickening thud, and you desperately tried to pull in a breath as your lungs went into a spasm from the shock of the impact. Your mouth gaped open as you attempted again and again to suck in air, to no avail. One of the walkers tumbled forward down the incline and landed next to you, snarling wickedly as it desperately clawed at your throat. Though your vision began to blur from lack of oxygen, you managed to wrestle its arms away as you frantically searched for your machete. You caught a glimpse of it laying at least five feet out of reach. Simon’s words from yesterday echoed through your mind.
“You’ve been through hell, darling… you’re a damn warrior in my book… a royal badass, and a fighter… don’t you dare fucking forget that.”
Your lungs suddenly opened and you desperately gulped in air, flooding your brain with much-needed oxygen as you continued to fight off the living corpse beside you.
Not today, you rotten piece of shit.
With a surge of energy - or maybe adrenaline - you kicked and pushed the walker away from you and quickly rolled to your right to snatch your blade. Springing to your feet, you took two long strides and launched yourself into the air, landing with both feet directly onto the walker’s head. The skull collapsed with a morbid crunch, and for the first time that day, you were grateful for the boots.
In the distance, you could heard Saviors shouting as they made their way closer to the end of the herd. Out of the corner of your eye you saw the other two rogue walkers trudging over to you, mouths hanging open with hunger for the living. Shoving your hair out of your eyes, you shook your head and grinned.
Come at me, motherfuckers.
You ran at them, dodging to the right and swinging the blade powerfully against the back of one of the walker’s heads. The body instantly crumpled and though your blade became embedded in the skull again, this time you were able to pull it loose immediately. You jumped out of reach of the remaining walker as it clawed the air and pursued you, and with both hands you swung the blade with brutal force as you lunged forward. The blade sliced through the neck so quickly that the momentum sent you tumbling to the ground as the head struck a nearby tree with a squelch.
You pushed yourself to your feet and admired your handiwork as your chest heaved, pulling air in with deep gasps. You looked over your shoulder towards the road and saw dozens upon dozens of corpses covering the ground. The Saviors were out of sight, but you could still hear their voices in the distance. Thinking it best to rejoin them, you headed for the tree line with a smile still lingering on your lips. Part of you wished Negan had been there to see how much of a badass you had been. You were approaching the ditch when suddenly your arm was pulled backwards and an undead snarl erupted just inches from your ear.
You barely kept your footing and attempted to pull away, but the unexpected walker gripped you tightly as it gnashed its teeth. Your machete hung uselessly from your belt on your right hip, and you desperately struggled to reach it with your free left hand, to no avail. Your heart began to race. There was no one to call out to, but even though terror was overwhelming you, a small piece of your ego didn’t even want to call for help. You had just killed five walkers on your own, you could take care of this one.
I said I’m not fucking dying today, you son of a bitch.
You grabbed the walker’s arm and spun around in an aggressive sort of dance, hoping to throw it to the ground, but it dragged you into the dirt as it fell, your machete slipping from your belt in the process and landing a few feet away. If you could only get your right arm away, you could reach the blade and end this immediately. You wrestled with the walker, rolling and tumbling through the leaves and mud in a vicious struggle for the upper hand. You gripped its neck tightly to prevent it from biting you, and you could feel your fingers beginning to sink into the soft flesh as you also felt its nails sinking into your arm. Twisting your head, you realized there was a tree mere feet away, and you suddenly had an idea.
Rolling toward the tree with the walker still attached, you allowed it to assume the position on top of you before you tightly gripped its jaw and repeatedly slammed its head into the trunk of the large tree. Blood and saliva poured from the walker’s mouth near your face as you exhausted every ounce of your remaining energy to continue your assault on it. Through your focus you barely noticed the voices yelling your name and the approaching mass of pounding boots. With a final slam, you felt the skull collapse under your hand as the undead corpse fell limp on top of you. You were too spent to even push it off, despite being able to feel the blood and decay seeping into your clothes.
“WHAT THE FUCK!”
Loud voices surrounded you as the walker was roughly thrown to the side. Powerful hands pulled you to your feet and you let your weight fall against the tree as you struggled to catch your breath and felt a searing pain in your leg. You looked down to see a deep wound in your thigh that was quickly soaking your pants with blood. Realization hit you as you vaguely remembered having to roll over your machete to reach the tree.
That takes a shit ton of talented stupidity.
The all-too-familiar smell of leather and gunsmoke permeated your nostrils, and you pulled your gaze up to Negan’s rage-filled eyes.
“EVERYONE BACK TO THE FUCKING TRUCKS.”
The crowd quickly dispersed, including Simon who shot you a look of worry and confusion before picking up your bloodied machete and heading toward the road. You felt detached from reality, almost as if you were watching yourself from outside your own body. Negan’s voice quickly brought you back.
“What the fucking fuck was that?!” he growled angrily, his tone demanding an answer. You managed a shrug before hoarsely responding, “I was fucking taking care of myself… by taking care of the dead like you said we should.” His eyes narrowed as he clenched his jaw in restraint, turning and pacing away from you as he ran his hand through his hair before turning back and leaning in close enough for you to feel his hot breath on your face.
“We established this is about building trust. How the fuck am I supposed to trust you when you pull shit like that?”
You locked eyes with him and gave him an incredulous look before you snarled back, “Shit like what? Being able to handle my own fucking shit? Being able to take care of myself? Pretty sure I’ve been doing that since before you came around. I’m not looking for someone to play savior.” Within a split second you recognized that you had gone too far this time. He slammed his fist into the tree mere inches from your head as his eyes darkened in anger.
“This isn’t about me playing some fucking savior role. I already said it, so listen closely this time. It’s. About. Fucking. Trust.” He spat every word at you as his voice continued to rumble in a dangerously quiet tone. “If I can’t trust you to not fucking run off and put your fucking life in danger, how the fuck am I supposed to trust you to fucking speak up when I’m hurting you? Did you ever fucking think of that, or were you too fucking busy playing independent badass for the day?”
You fell silent as you comprehended what he was saying. He brought you along on this trip to build trust outside of your one-on-one interactions, and instead of strengthening it, you destroyed it. You had to reach out and grasp his jacket as your injured leg began to give out on you, and he unexpectedly embraced you. You felt his chest steadily rise and fall, and found infinite comfort in it despite his anger and harsh reprimand. He bent down and slid his left arm behind your knees as he picked you up and hugged you close to his chest. You bounced up and down to the rhythm of his steps as he returned to the line of trucks. Simon stood at the front and opened the door so Negan could gingerly place you in the front seat. Within seconds the doors slammed and you were once again between the two most powerful men in The Sanctuary.
“We’re going back… she needs to get to the clinic to get that wound taken care of,” Negan muttered. Simon nodded and poked his head out the window, shouting the new orders to the trucks behind. The engine came to life and the familiar crunch of tires against gravel began again as the truck lurched forward in pursuit of somewhere to turn around. You found your eyes fluttering shut in exhaustion, and you rested your head on Negan’s shoulder. You felt him sigh deeply as he gripped the steering wheel and murmured,
“I swear you’ll be the death of me.”
Next Chapter (Part Six) - Previous Chapter (Part Four)
Ahhhh! Another chapter on record. This one was difficult to write in the beginning, but once they got on the road it just kept flowing, hence the fact that it ended up stupidly long. THANK YOU to all who have supported me and have been patient with how long this chapter took to write. As always, feedback is priceless - both positive and negative! I love to hear what you all like, and also what you aren’t so fond of. Especially typos. Please tell me if you find a typo or grammar mistake.

ok, trevor’s new car deserves a road trip fic. i understand that rich boys who buy obnoxious cars and the boutique dealers who sell them are perfectly capable of making delivery arrangements, but i don’t want a semi truck blocking a peaceful westchester county lane to deposit a shrink-wrapped BMW in the zegras family driveway. i want trevor zegras picking up this slick machine next to a buffalo wild wings in suburban detroit, and i want a motherfucking road trip. what’ll it be?
option A: trevor/quinn. trevor stays at the hughes house while he’s in town. quinn’s home and at loose ends. trevor tries in vain to convince jack to drive back to new york with him (because trevor cannot possibly spend 11 hours on the road without an audience), and jack says no. quinn wanders through the room and says, “oh, hey, i could drive with you,” which sounds nice in theory but the problem is that trevor has been trying to squelch a low-grade crush on quinn for like three years now. so instead of having a blast opening up that V-8 all the way down I-80, he’s trying to act normal, which he is really bad at because dumb shit like, “oh, we’re almost to cleveland, isn’t that the mile high city?” keeps coming out of his mouth. i think this warrants a classic there-was-only-one-bed resolution somewhere in the middle of pennsylvania.
option B: trevor/jack? hughes house, take 2. trevor pulls up in the cul de sac and tips a wave to the neighborhood kids playing street hockey and gaping at him. jack ducks out from under the garage door while it’s still rolling up, tosses his bag in the back of the BMW, and slams the passenger door with furious emphasis. “get me the fuck out of here,” he spits through gritted teeth. jack is twenty years old and he is stuck in his childhood bedroom and quinn is acting all superior and everything is all about luke’s draft, and jack is going to actually kill somebody if he has to spend one more day there. this fic is all about jack gradually chilling out among convenience stores and gas stations and roadside attractions on their way to new york. i’m not sure if it’s endgame trevor/jack or just an extended jack hughes character study.
option C: trevor/turcs? trevor drives to illinois to stage an intervention: “you’re never going to get over nic if you spend the entire summer hanging out with him.” “i’m not spending the entire summer hanging out with him,” turcs objects. trevor waves his phone at him. “i’ve seen your fucking instagram.” “so what if i am?” turcs changes course quick. “we’re friends.” “he dumped you, you can’t be friends.” “people can be friends.” “but you can’t be friends with nic.” trevor announces it with finality. “let’s go on a road trip. like, route 66 or whatever. american dream. put your fucking clubs in the car, let’s go.” [extended slapstick montage in which it becomes apparent that the hatch of trevor’s car is not big enough for two golf bags]
oh hey wait, what if they get to vegas while the habs are playing there? “think we can see cole?” turcs asks, pulling out his phone. “don’t text him,” trevor says abruptly. “wtf?” turcs asks. “shut up, i’m texting him.” trevor tries to bat the phone out of turcs’ hand. the car, which trevor is currently driving down a desolate colorado highway at 97mph, swerves precariously. turcs holds the phone out of reach. “don’t fucking get us killed, what the hell.” trevor swerves back into his lane. “just... don’t.” “too late,” turcs says. “fuck.” the road straightens. the speedometer ticks over 100. turcs is still looking at his phone. “he can’t get us tickets but we can see him at the hotel. like, outside.” trevor considers banging his head on the steering wheel. “did you say you’re with me?” turcs gives him a weird look. “yeah? why wouldn’t i?” so then a whole story comes out. at first turcs is pissed that neither trevor or cole bothered to tell him they were hooking up at world juniors, let alone that trevor accidentally caught some feelings and cole sweetly brushed him off. then turcs realizes that if trevor’s distracted with his own drama, maybe he’ll shut the fuck about trying to help turcs get over his ex. so turcs absolutely insists that they catch up with cole, and wow, it’s super awkward, so awkward that trevor and turcs have to get spectacularly drunk afterwards. cue standard all-night vegas montage: drinks, showgirls, blackjack, slots, a screaming fight in front of the bellagio fountain as dawn starts to lighten the skies above the neon. the screaming fight somehow turns into kissing which turns into a “you were here the whole time” kind of resolution. boom.
#i often show hockey personal details to men of my acquaintance and ask their opinion about what this object/preference/activity#says about the hockey player in question#e.g. ‘what does it say about you if you want this particular golfer to win the u.s. open?’#or ‘what does this watch mean?’#i showed trevor’s new car to A Man and his take was:#‘he’s probably full of himself but that’s a pretty sweet car’#and i positively gasped at the accuracy

Transportation weekly: Nuro dreams of autonomous lattes, what is a metamaterial, Volvo takes the wheel
Welcome back to Transportation Weekly; I’m your host Kirsten Korosec, senior transportation reporter at TechCrunch. We love the reader feedback. Keep it coming.
Never heard of TechCrunch’s Transportation Weekly? Read the first edition here. As I’ve written before, consider this a soft launch. Follow me on Twitter @kirstenkorosec to ensure you see it each week. An email subscription is coming!
This week, we’re shoving as much transportation news, tidbits and insights in here as possible in hopes that it will satiate you through the end of the month. That’s right, TechCrunch’s mobility team is on vacation next week.
You can expect to learn about metamaterials, how traffic is creating genetic peril, the rise of scooter docks in a dockless world, new details on autonomous delivery startup Nuro and a look back at the first self-driving car fatality.
ONM …
There are OEMs in the automotive world. And here, (wait for it) there are ONMs — original news manufacturers. (Cymbal clash!) This is where investigative reporting, enterprise pieces and analysis on transportation lives.
Mark Harris is here again with an insider look into autonomous vehicle delivery bot startup Nuro. The 3-year-old company recently announced that it raised $940 million in financing from the SoftBank Vision Fund.
Harris, during his typical gumshoeing, uncovers what Nuro might do with all that capital. It’s more than just “scaling up” and “hiring talent” — the go-to declarations from startups flush with venture funding. No, Nuro’s founders have some grand ideas from automated kitchens and autonomous latte delivery to smaller robots that can cross lawns or climb stairs to drop off packages. Nuro recently told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it wants introduce up to 5,000 upgraded vehicles called the R2X, over the next two years.
The company’s origin story and how it’s tied to autonomous trucking startup Ike is just as notable as its “big ideas.”
Come for the autonomous lattes; stay for the story … How Nuro plans to spend Softbank’s money
Dig In
What do metamaterials and Volvo have in common? Absolutely nothing. Except they’re both worth higlighting this week.
First up, is an article by TechCrunch’s Devin Coldewey on a company called Lumotive that has backing from Bill Gates and Intellectual Ventures. The names Bill Gates and Intellectual Ventures aren’t the most interesting components of the story. Nope, it’s metamaterials.
Let us explain. Most autonomous vehicles, robots and drones use lidar (or light detection and ranging radar) to sense their surroundings. Lidar basically works by bouncing light off the environment and measuring how and when it returns; in short, lidar helps create a 3D map of the world. (Here’s a complete primer on WTF is Lidar).
However, there are limitations to lidar sensors, which rely on mechanical platforms to move the laser emitter or mirror. That’s where metamaterials come in. In simple terms, metamaterials are specially engineered surfaces that have embedded microscopic structures and work as a single device. Metamaterials remove the mechanical piece of the problem, and allow lidar to scan when and where it wants within its field of view.
Metamaterials delivers the whole package: they’re durable and compact, solve problems with existing lidar systems, and are not prohibitively expensive.
If they’re so great why isn’t everyone using them? For one, it’s a new and emerging technology. Lumotive’s product is just a prototype. And Intellectual Ventures (IV) holds the patents for known techniques, Coldewey recently explained to me. IV is granting Lumotive an exclusive license to the tech — something it has done with other metamaterial-based startups it has spun out.
Shifting gears to Volvo
Automakers are rolling out increasingly robust advanced driver assistance systems in production cars. These new levels of automation are creating a conflict of sorts. One on hand, features like adaptive cruise control and lane steering can make commutes less stressful and arguably safer. And yet, they can also cause overconfidence in the system and complacency among drivers. (Even Tesla CEO Elon Musk has noted that complacency is a problem among owners using its advanced ADAS feature called Autopilot). (And yes, I wrote advanced ADAS; it sounds repetitive, but it’s meant to express higher levels of automation and a term I recently encountered from two respected sources)
Some argue that automakers shouldn’t deploy these kinds of automated features unless vehicles are equipped with driver-monitoring systems (DMS are essentially an in-car camera and accompanying software) that can ensure drivers are paying attention. Volvo is taking that a step further.
Driver Monitoring Camera in a Volvo research vehicle
The company announced this week that it will integrate DMS into its next-gen, SPA2-based vehicles beginning in the early 2020s and more importantly, enable its system to take action if the driver is distracted or intoxicated. The camera and other sensors will monitor the driver and will intervene if a clearly intoxicated or distracted driver does not respond to warning signals and is risking an accident involving serious injury or death. Under this scenario, Volvo could limit the car’s speed, call the Volvo on Call service on behalf of the driver or cause the vehicle to slow down and park itself on the roadside.
Volvo’s plans raise all kinds of questions, including privacy concerns and liability. The intent is to add a layer of safety. But it also adds complexity, which could compromise Volvo’s mission. The Autonocast, a podcast I co-host with Alex Roy and Ed Niedermeyer, talk about Volvo’s plans in our latest episode. Check it out.
A little bird …
We hear a lot. But we’re not selfish. Let’s share.
Remember two weeks ago when we dug into Waymo’s laser bears and wondered whether we had reached “peak” LiDAR? (Last year, there were 28 VC deals in LiDAR technology valued at $650 million. The number of deals was slightly lower than in 2017, but the values jumped by nearly 34 percent.)
It doesn’t look like we have. We’re hearing about several funding deals in the works or recently closed, a revelation that shows investors still see opportunity in startups trying to bring the next generation of light ranging and detection sensors to market.
Spotted …. Former Zoox CEO and co-founder Tim Kentley Klay was spotted at the Self-Racing Car event at Thunderhill Raceway near Willows, Calif., this weekend.
Got a tip or overheard something in the world of transportation? Email me or send a direct message to @kirstenkorosec.
Deal of the week
Lyft set the terms for its highly-anticipated initial public offering and announced it will kick off the roadshow for its IPO. That means the initial public offering will likely occur in the next two weeks. Here’s the S-1 that Lyft filed in early March. This latest announcement also revealed new details, including that its ticker symbol will be “LYFT” — as one might expect — and that the IPO range is set for between $62 and $68 per share to sell 30,770,000 shares of Class A common stock. Lyft could raise up to $2.1 billion at the higher end of that range, or $1.9 billion at the lower end.
The Lyft news was big — and it’s a story we’ll be following for awhile. However, we wanted to highlight another one of Ingrid Lunden’s articles because it underscores a point I’ve been pushing for awhile: not every important move in the world of autonomous vehicles occurs in the big three of Detroit, Pittsburgh and Silicon Valley.
This week, Yandex, the Russian search giant that has been working on self-driving car technology, inked a partnership with Hyundai to develop software and hardware for autonomous car systems. This is Yandex’s first partnership with an OEM. But it’s not Hyundai’s first collaboration with an autonomous vehicle startup. (Hyundai has a partnership with Aurora too)
Yandex will work with Hyundai Mobis, the car giant’s OEM parts and service division, “to create a self-driving platform that can be used by any car manufacturer or taxi fleet” that will cover both a prototype as well as parts for other car-makers.
Other deals:
Indonesia’s Kargo comes out of stealth with $7.6 million from Travis Kalanick, Sequoia and others
Ford to invest $850 million to add more production capacity for EVs
Toyota is deepening its relationship with Nvidia
GM is investing $300 million to build its next EV in Michigan
Snapshot
One year ago, I parked on a small rise overlooking Mill Avenue in Tempe, Arizona. The mostly dirt knoll, dotted with some trees and a handful of structures known out here as ramadas, was hardly remarkable. Just one other car sat in the disintegrating asphalt parking lot, the result of so many sun-baked days. A group of homeless people had set up at the picnic tables under a few of the structures, their dogs lolling nearby.
And yet, it was here, or specifically on the gleaming road below, that something extraordinary had indeed happened. Just days before, Elaine Herzberg was crossing Mill Avenue south of Curry Road when an Uber self-driving vehicle struck and killed her. The vehicle was in autonomous mode at the time of the collision, with a human test driver behind the wheel.
I had been in the Phoenix area, a hub for testing autonomous vehicle technology, to moderate a panel on that very subject. But the panel had been hastily canceled by organizers worried about the optics of such a discussion. And so I picked up Starsky Robotics CEO Stefan Seltz Axmacher who was also in town for this now-canceled panel, and we drove to site where Herzberg had died.
I wrote at the time, that “March 18 changed everything—and nothing—in the frenzied and nascent world of autonomous vehicles.” One year later, those words are still correct. The incident dumped a bucket of ice water over the figurative heads of autonomous vehicle developers. Everyone it seemed, had sobered up. Testing was paused, dozens of companies assessed their own safety protocols. Earnest blogs were written. Lawsuits were filed.
And yet, the cogs on the AV machine haven’t stopped turning. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. Innovation can sometimes “make the world a better place.” But it’s rarely delivered in a neat little package, no strings attached.
I’m hardly the first to reflect or write about this one-year anniversary. There are many takes, some of them hot, others not so much. And there are a few insightful ones; Autonocast co-host Niedermeyer has one entitled 10 Lessons from Uber’s Fatal Self-Driving Car Crash that’s worth reading.
Right now, I’m more interested in those lessons that haven’t been learned yet. It’s partly what prompted us to launch this newsletter, a weekly post that aims to be more than a historical record or a medium to evangelize AV technology.
Tiny but mighty micromobility
It’s been said before, but we’ll say it again. Data is queen. This past week, mobility management startup Passport partnered with Charlotte, N.C., Detroit, Mich. and Omaha, Neb. and Lime to create a framework to apply parking principles, data analysis and more to the plethora of shared micromobility services.
And, in case you missed it, Bird had to let some people go late last week. We’ve learned a few more details since the news broke. That came out to about 40 people out of the ~900-person company. The layoffs were part of Bird’s annual performance review process and only affected U.S.-based employees, TechCrunch learned. Those laid off are eligible for severance, including health and medical benefits. Despite the layoffs, Bird is actively looking to hire for more than 100 positions throughout the company.
Meanwhile, Ford-owned Spin partnered with mobility startup Zagster to deploy scooters in 100+ new cities and campuses by the end of this year.

Notable reads
Traffic affects more than people. Take a look at the map pictured above. See the red line? That’s Interstate 15 in southern California. To the east, are inland communities and eventually the San Bernardino National Forest and San Jacinto Mountains.
To the west, are the Santa Ana Mountains and an increasingly isolated family of 20 cougars, the Los Angeles Times reports this week. The 15 and the heavy traffic on it is putting pressure on the gene pool. In the past 15 years, at least seven cougars have crossed the 15. Just one sired 11 kittens. This lack of genetic diversity — the lower documented for the species outside of the endangered Florida panther — could have devastating effects on mountain lions here. A study published in the journal Ecological Applications predicts extinction probabilities of 16 percent to 28 percent over the next 50 years for these lions.
In this specific case, the last natural wildlife corridor in the area — and perhaps the difference between survival and extinction — is little Temecula Creek.
This phenomenon is happening in other areas as well, causing communities to toy with possible solutions. One option: shuttling the lions over the other side, a move that could cause all sorts of problems. In other places, such as an area near the Santa Monica Mountains, a wildlife overpass has been proposed.
Transit pain points
Meanwhile, digital and mobile ticketing and payment company CellPoint Mobile released a report this week that examines the rising cost of acquiring new riders, mobile technology limitations and outdated procurement processes. The titillatingly named report — Challenges Facing Municipal, Regional and National Transit Agencies in the United States — surveyed 103 ground and mass transit operators in the United States.
Some takeaways and key findings:
30 percent of mass transit providers collect fares through a mobile app; only 39 percent have an app at all
26 percent of transit operators say costs are their biggest challenges. Among metro mass transit agencies, that concern jumps to 40 percent
Nearly a quarter (23 percent) of national operators and 24 percent of large transit agencies (1,000 to 10,000 employees) say that implementing mobile technology is their single biggest challenge.
Customer acquisition is the second-most common challenge in US transportation, cited by 23 percent national, 33 percent regional, and 17 percent of private operators.
Other items of note:
The Information’s Amir Efrati has yet another piece on Alphabet’s self-driving car business Waymo. This time Efrati analyzed confidential Waymo customer feedback on 2,500 rides this quarter. The upshot: autonomous ride-hailing services face considerable headwinds in their attempt to replicate Uber and Lyft.
The New York Times magazine takes a trip across the U.S. in an Amtrak
Google released a report on how design can improve trust in autonomous vehicles
Testing and deployments
Dockless scooters have been all the rage; now it seems that cities and scooters startups are considering whether free-floating micromobility might need to be reined in a skosh.
Lyft, which has scooters in 13 cities, recently experimented with parking racks. These parking racks or docks are designed specifically for scooters. The company set up these docking stations in Austin during SXSW and released a handy Guide to Good Scootiquette to encourage better and safer rider behavior.
Meanwhile, an industry around scooter management is emerging. Swiftmile, a startup that developed light electric vehicle charging systems for bike share, has new solar-powered charging platforms for scooters. TechCrunch met Swiftmile CEO Colin Roche in Austin earlier this month and learned that a number of cities are interested in deploying these systems. Swiftmile’s system not only charges the scooters, it also can provide scooter companies with diagnostics and keep the device locked in the dock if it’s malfunctioning. The docks can be programmed to lock the scooters up during certain hours — bar closing time would seem like an optimal time — to keep them from being misused. Systems like these could help scooter companies like Bird and Lime extend the life of their scooters and keep local officials happy.
Autonomous street sweepers
ENWAY and Nanyang Technological University are deploying autonomous street sweepers in the inner city of Singapore as part of a project with National Environmental Agency Singapore. The project began this month and will run into September 2020.
Under the pilot, ENWAY’s autonomous sweeper will clean an area of more than 12 kilometers of roads every day. The sweeper is equipped with numerous sensors, including 2D and 3D lidars, 3D cameras, GNSS. The base vehicle is a retrofitted all-electric compact road sweeper from Swiss manufacturer Bucher Municipal.
The company aims to commercialize autonomous cleaning on public ground in Singapore and abroad.
A demo of the sweeper is in the video below.

Silvercar scales up
On the other end of the transportation spectrum, Silvercar by Audi has rolled out a delivery and pick up service in downtown locations in New York and San Francisco. Silvercar customers can request their rental be dropped off and picked up at home or a location of their choosing for an additional fee. Silvercar also announced plans to bring its premium rental experience to Boston at Logan International Airport on April 15.
If you’ve never heard of Silvercar, you’re forgiven. It’s not exactly widespread. The company aims to remove the headache of traditional car rental. I recently tried it out in Austin during SXSW and found that it is convenient, and works pretty well, but doesn’t remove some of the annoying pinch points of car rentals. Yes, there are no lines. When I got off the plane in Austin, I received a message that my car was ready and to hail my driver who picked me up curbside, drove me to the Silvercar operation, and brought me to my Audi. I used the app to unlock the vehicle.
That’s cool. What would be even better is skipping all those steps and being able to access the vehicle right there in the airport without interacting with anyone. (Granted, not everyone wants that) This new delivery and pickup service in New York and San Francisco gets closer to that sweet spot.
Other stuff:
Optimus Ride brings self-driving cars to private communities
On our radar
New York Auto Show is coming up and I’ll be in the city right before the show. But then it’s back to the west coast for TC Sessions: Robotics + AI, a one-day event held April 18 at UC Berkeley. I’ll be interviewing Anthony Levandowski on stage and moderating a panel with Aurora co-founder Sterling Anderson and Uber ATG Toronto chief Raquel Urtasun to talk about building the self-driving stack and how AI is used to help vehicles understand and predict what’s happening in the world around them and make the right decisions.
Also, the PAVE Coalition is hosting its first public demonstration event April 5-7 at the Cobo Center in downtown Detroit. The public will have an opportunity to ride in a self-driving car, and interactive displays will help visitors understand the technology behind self-driving cars and their potential benefits.
Finally, one electric vehicle thing we’ve been following. Columbus, Ohio won the U.S. Department of Transportation’s first-ever Smart City Challenge and we’ve been tracking the city’s progress and its efforts to increase electric vehicle adoption.
One of the organizers told TechCrunch that since the beginning of 2017, the cumulative new EV registrations in the Columbus metropolitan area have increased by 121 percent. New EV registrations over this period outpaced the 82 percent expansion in the Midwest region and the 94 percent growth seen across the U.S. over the same time period.

At fault driver's car insurance won't pay for my damages!?
Hey guys and gals, My wife was in a car accident on 10/8 driving our truck with liability only insurance (IE: not full coverage because the truck is only worth ~$3000 and it's paid for). She was turning right and had slowed down to turn (with her turn signal on) when a speeding truck slammed into the van behind her, ramming the van in to our truck. The police filed a report, in which the driver of the speeding truck (an 18 year old kid, that had just left his house less than 1/4 mile away) was determined to be at fault. It is worth note that this happened in front of two different auto body shops, and within sight of the house the at fault driver had just left. Their insurance company, state farm, finally contacted us on 11/8 after not returning our phone calls for nearly two weeks saying they had determined he was in fact at fault and would send an adjuster the following Monday. He came, inspected the truck, determined it was repairable, then said we would hear from their office later that day. When they called they told us the damage was more than 75% of the vehicles worth so it was considered total and they would send the required paperwork to my email address to begin payment. Within 3 hours, the claim agent we had talked to the previous Friday said an owner of one of the auto shops had came forward (all of a sudden, no mention of a witness before) and that he had a notarized statement saying the van struck our vehicle before the truck struck the van. The insurance company now will not pay us for the damages. We tried to call the witness and get a copy of his report because State Farm would not give us the copy. Then we called the other auto body shop and both the owner and one of his employees both seen the accident and say that the truck was at fault, and the owner overheard the driver say specifically that it was his fault. When we bring this to the agents attention, she claims this is not evidence because they know the at fault driver. We found out that the first witness also knows the driver, but can't prove it. Ours is a small town, you don't have neighbors that you don't know or speak to. It seems we are at an impasse, and I have been without a truck for nearly 6 weeks. What should I do in this instance? Get an attorney? Our insurance agency is adamant about not intervening since we did not have full coverage insurance. It may be worth noting that my wife has had back and neck pain since the accident and went to the hospital the day of the accident, the family doctor twice since, and has an appointment with a chiropractor next week (all of which our insurance has paid for.)""

Car insurance coverage help!?
Currently I have a financed car. And is still currently paying for it monthly. After doing some research and purchasing my car insurance coverage - State Farm. My dad insisted he will help me with all the process. However, after he and I got done with everything. My coverage are, A - Liability P20 - Personal Injury Protection U, W uninsured and underinsured And finally these two: D - 500 Deductible Comprehensive G - 500 Deductible Collision which I learn online it is OPTIONAL to have: ( SO WHY DO I NEED IT EXACTLY THEN? my dad try explaining it but it didn't get through my hot head. ) So can anyone please tell me is it a requirement for me to have those to coverage D & G, if not I would really like to get it off and save some money instead of throwing it out the window. Thanks.""
PLEASE HELP ! Where can I get the best/cheapest car insurance deal ?
I have tried various price comparison sites without success . I need to get a low / cheap fully comprehensive car insurance policy for my son to be able to insure his car . We are an extremely low income family In order to drive his car on British roads my son needs to have an MOT certificate , Road Tax and Insurance . That is the Law of this land ! The Car only cost him 200 , I am not going to suggest that we break any laws but he should not have to pay out 15 times the cars value to get insurance to drive the car on British Roads , that is absolutely ridicules ! PLEASE CAN SOMEONE SOMEWHERE HELP There is NO PUBLIC transportation to get him to his place of employment , he needs his own transport , riding a bicycle is out of the question , he would be exhausted by the time he got there as his work place is 8 miles away , in windy weather he would be blown of it and in wet weather he would be soaked to the skin before he got there , he has to use his car . If I took him to work , I would have to make the 8 mile journey 4 times , if he does it , the journey would be twice . His Mother has her own car but works the opposite direction . her insurance is less than 500 but that is more than twice my insurance because I have held a driving license for longer , my insurance is very much lower . Our Son is too young to legally drive my vehicle . PLEASE HELP""

Is it true that in America there are people who get jobs they may hate simply for affordable health insurance?
I am planning on emigrating to the United States within the next three years if I can get a visa for educators or an actual Green card. The thing is that people on this forum have been telling me that health insurance comes primarily from your employer in the States, and that if you have a pre-existing condition, you may end up not able to change to the job you want as you might not be able to get coverage or, if you do get covered, be charged more than your salary. Is this correct? Someone a few weeks ago was writing about how she was angry because she has Crohn's Disease and works a part-time job with full benefits in kind (insurance) and her husband teaches five adult education classes at a community college and a state university without benefits. She said that they have no kids (no intention of having any), but she was extremely cross with her husband as he loves teaching and doesn't want to leave it for a full-time office job with benefits even though he is putting aside $1,500 per month for any possible emergencies. Is it really like that in the States. I love America, love its literature, its people, its values and so many other things, but this sounds like a big deterrent if one doesn't have total job mobility. Would a husband end up quitting a job he loves doing and taking on something he might not like simply because the less appealing job offers affordable health insurance for someone with a pre-existing condition.""

Gap insurance and warranty on car that was totaled?
I am not sure who is right on this one.... We bought a car in 12/11. We purchased gap insurance and an extended warranty at that time through the dealer. We decided to refinance the car through the credit union were we are members. The gap insurance was 1/2 the price we purchased at the dealer. The dealer and bank said that we should receive a refund. In the process of all of this the car was totaled by my 18 year old daughter in March. 1. We recieved a check made out to us from the dealer for the gap insurance.(pro-rated 4 months) 2. The dealer turned in the paperwork for us for the refund on the warranty and the warranty company sent it to the previous lein holder that we left. The initial bank in turn said it was our money and reissued a check made out to us. Any thoughts appreciated. Is it really our money?

Two days ago, I was involved in a car accident. Allow me to explain what happened. My car was barely left with a dent, and driving away from the scene, my car was just fine. However, when I went to drive it this morning, I noticed something was up with the back end. Ticket for No Insurance in Alabama?
We have checkpoint in mobile, alabama where I live and basically it's where cops stop traffic and check every vehicle for drivers license, insurance, registration, child restraints, etc. Well, I got a ticket for no insurance (I know i'm dumb for not having it, but believe me i'm getting it tomorrow). My question is does anyone know how much a ticket for no insurance is in Mobile, AL? I've checked the website but they have nothing on how much tickets are. I called the number on the back of the ticket and it doesn't say either. The officer said I may be able to get insurance and on my court date show it to the judge and just pay the $105 court fee and no ticket fee. Is that true also? Please help.""

What am I supposed to do? The car is paid for, but I want collision insurance. One co. offered me liability at the rate for collision!! Ridiculous!""

My car was damaged by hail. I took it to a shop recommended by my insurance company, they gave me a quote, and the car insurance company gave me a check for that amount. Am I obligated to use that same shop that gave me the original quote, or am I allowed to still take it somewhere else that might repair it for less?""

Ok, ABOUT how much would 6 months of car insurance be for; 1992 Toyota 4 door. 19 year old driver inexperienced. Car is parked at my own home (yes I'm a homeowner) No one except me will be driving my car. I have no prior accidents or bad driving records. I'm in NC. I don't have a license yet but must get insurance first to get them. I know there is more to it but just an educated guess? Preferably by State Farm. I have no way to call them or get to an office is the only reason I'm on answers. I'm not looking for a real quote, just a simple idea of about how much?""
