it’s that special time of year! the holidays are upon us and whether you celebrate or not, there’s a sort of magical spirit lingering in the chilly baltimore air! a quick walk around the city ( or a drive if you want to keep your ears, nose and fingers warm ) shows everyone gearing up for what’s sure to be the most festive few weeks to close out 2018 right! if you have a keen eye for details, you may notice an ornate little flyer posted to telephone poles and up on the bulletin boards in the local hangouts. or perhaps your phone has buzzed with the top secret invite to the most talked about party of the year. that’s right -- not one but TWO separate events are being hosted soon and, lucky for you, mulberry residents, you’re invited to B O T H !

we know you’ll probably want to spend christmas eve and christmas day with friends and family should you celebrate it. that’s why our annual WINTER WONDERLAND BALL is being held on sunday december 23rd! grab a date and dress your best before making your way down to the grand historic hotel! eight separate ballroom areas mean that there’s plenty of room for you, that special someone to keep you warm this winter and thousands of your fellow baltimoreans! tickets are just 25 dollars each and a percentage of all proceeds will go to a hat, scarf and mitten drive for those in need. hors d'oeuvres and a formal dinner is included in the price of your ticket as is champagne service and an open bar. anyone caught smuggling in harder alcoholic beverages or other substances will be politely asked to vacate the premises. drinking, dancing and holding hands by the fireplace in the grand entry await you at the winter wonderland ball!

perhaps less grandiose in presentation than the previous week’s event and traveling more by word of mouth and digital invitation, there’s a party going down on new year’s eve. nothing should be out of place about such a get together; however, it’s who’s hosting that has everyone on edge. rumor has it, the new year’s even bash is happening on the top floor of mulberry apartments. that is to say, brooklyn hart is hosting a party! the enigmatic tenant clearly has money and endless time on her hands so we aren’t worried about the decor nor the refreshments that are sure to be served. what has everyone talking is the host’s propensity for gossip and what such a gathering may mean for the secrets of her fellow tenants. is something going to go down before the proverbial ball drops? either way, there’s a buzz of excitement surrounding the event too. finally, people will get to see how the local gossip columnist lives and maybe, just maybe, get a glimpse of her in person. you’ll definitely want to be there.

below the cut you’ll find the ooc information and a brief rundown of each of these events! i hope you guys are excited -- the next two weeks will be busy busy but lots of fun, i think!

WINTER WONDERLAND BALL

I took the boys over to a block party with live music by SoundEver, a band of all Oberlin Music students. We bought some cool handmade bowls, a kids’ t-shirt for an upcoming parade I know nothing about, and Harrison made a cool rainbow bracelet. Live music and nice people. Cool mini outing!

Hints

Easy 49 Simoleans

Whatyou do first is, press and hold [ctrl] [alt] [shift] and the letter C. type in move_objects on,press enter. Buy a whole bunch of party balloons and let them all pop. Press “Buy Mode” and place the hand over the pile, click it and push delete. After all of ’em are gone, youll have the most easiest money you can make.

Santie Claus

Before your sim or sims goes to sleep buy the cookies, put them somewhere in the house and maybe Santa will come!! Might take a couple times for it to work.

Room Mood

To tell what your party’s mood is, buy the moose head and put it up in your party room. Its antlers will tell you how the mood is. If the antlers are droopy, the mood is low. If they are up, your party’s a bash.

Floating House

To get a floating house all you have to do is make a big house border on the first floor. Then build an upstairs. When you are done with the upstairs delete the downstairs wall border. Now you will notice that your house is floating.

Bonus CASH

Using the move_objects cheat whenever you see some flys buzzing around grap them and then dispose of them, they will be mistaken as a virtual reality set and you get roughly $450!

NO BILLS! And A Great Cheat!!

Get the cheat menu up and put in move_objects on, then press enter. You must go into purchase furniture mode to grab anything. Now you can move and get rid of anyhting you want including the evil clown, the boring mime, or any neighbour, newspaper kid, bugs, water, sims, cars, the grim reeper, garbage cans, etc. But best of all get rid of your mail box and you will never get any bills. PS. I don’t recommend it however because it screws up the game at that house, but I do recommend using move_objects on all of the time. PPS. move_objects off turns the cheat off.

Moats And Streams

Go into the build house menu and select the shovel. Now get the cheat menu up. Now put in water_tool and press enter. You can now make moats and streams.

Mooing Moose

Build a regular house that anyone could live in. When buying items, get a moose head and put it in a room you don’t use much. If you are out of the room with the moose head (it takes a while) the moose will start to moo.

How To Refresh Your Character’s Stats

This code is to get your characters stats all the way up. First you will need the “Move Objects” code on. When thats on on make sure you save your progress so you won’t lose anything. Next go to bulid mode and select the hand icon. Pick your character up and delete hi or her. After that,go to live mode. You should see your character’s picture on the lower left hand side. Your character’s picture will have a red circle looking thing on it. Now,all you have to do is click once on his picture and he will appear somewhere in the house. When you find him look at their stats and their comfort,hunger and eveything else should all be in green.

Full Mood Bar

Find a depressed sim and make him sit down. Then access the move objects on code. Delete the chair. The sim will disappear. Click on his face at the bottom of the screen he will reaappear with full mood bars. Remember your game must be on buy mode to do the move_objects on code.

Naked Sim

When sime is taking a shower accesse the move_objects on code. Then delete the shower. The sim will still be taking a shower and the sim will be naked.

No Border

Access the move_objects on code then delete everything that is outdside of the grid this will give you the power to build outside of the grid.

Drew Carey

If you throw a big enough party, Drew Carey will show up to entertain and hang out until it ends.

first press Ctrl Shift C a prompt box should appear at the top left hand corner of the screen. then enter rosebud;!;!;!;; then press enter abox that says no such cheat code should appear next pres and hold enter to earn up to 99,999,999 simoleans.

you’re invited... to a halloween bash!

ghouls and goblins, spooks and skeletons -- beware! baltimore is hosting a halloween bash! more of a monster mash, if you will. one of the hottest nightclubs at the heart of baltimore will be casting out it’s usual crowd and replacing it with things that go bump in the night. fully bedecked in halloween decorations, we dare you NOT to get in the spirit of the spooky season -- or should we say spirits? -- when you walk through its cobweb covered doors!

two for one drink specials, blacklight dancing, a KILLER dj and a costume contest with cash prizes are all a part of the fun that awaits those brave enough to attend. come in costume for a waived cover charge ( under 21 permitted with an underage stamp on their hand given at the door ) and prepare yourself to get your freak on! so it’s time to retire those trick or treat bags and experience the devilish fun of our little night of horrors.

our second event will be a DASH EVENT running a week OUT OF CHARACTER but taking place over the course of one night IN CHARACTER. from sunday october 28th to next sunday november 2nd, you may post starters and threads relating to this event. IC, it will be halloween night so wednesday, october 31st!

THE CITY OF BALTIMORE WELCOMES FALL!!

though the crisping autumnal weather hasn’t seemed to make it to baltimore quite yet, a few leaves are changing and the calendar dates surely reflect entry into the beloved fall season. it’s a time for caramel apples, pumpkin everything and the annual excitement approaching the halloween holiday. it’s also a time to celebrate the change of seasons with your friends and family at baltimore’s fall fright fest! the perfect combination between family-friendly carnival and suspenseful and spooky delight, baltimore’s fall fest has a little something for everyone.

located near inner harbor between pratt and light st, this corner of the city is blocked off for the festivities (much to the chagrin of neighboring businesses and residents). during the day time, there are hay rides, face painting booths, amusement park rides, live music performances and a bevy of local booths and kiosks selling seasonally appropriate food, drink and souvenirs. there’s even a haunted house for the more adventurous! at night, everything is alight in oranges, reds and yellows and the spooks come out to play. halloween inspired terror attractions open (including a zombie apocalypse simulator and a demented butcher shop walkthrough among others), the hay ride becomes a haunted hay ride and costumed actors roam the grounds looking for their next victim to scare. visit at night if you dare ( or if you’re just looking for a shorter line on the ferris wheel ) !!

our first event will be a DASH EVENT running about a week / week and a half depending on if people want to extend it. it will begin tomorrow, MONDAY OCTOBER 1st and run thru at least MONDAY OCTOBER 8th.
