you would think the soundcloud tag would be better than the music tag, because tumblr autotags it, and there isn't a genre of broadway drivel called soundcloudicals that is impossible to filter out, flooding the tags with people who post every day about cats and newsies for some reason -- and yet, somehow, the soundcloud tag is also full of hazbin hotel fanart. i had to see someone say "i can't believe we live in a time where people post anime edits of the founding fathers because of hamilton" and imagine my dawning horror as i realized they think that's good. meanwhile, on my dash, andre 3000 shirt with 600 replies from the exact same naruto fans back in 2019 about how white privilege can't exist because their life is hard. and i'm having this fun discussion with someone who thinks a music industry boycott is going to help gaza somehow, which when i pointed out how they're not getting any traction because that's an absolute nonstarter, which neither the gaza boycott organization nor the musician's union have asked for, they said noooo i am clearly getting no traction because no one cares. this is not to say there's nothing cool in there because obviously there is but AUGH girl. help
