My star
The chaotic realm of Hell, pulsated with a frenetic energy as Vox, the suave master of the TV waves, gracefully navigated the bustling streets. His screens projected a dazzling array of colors, each hue a testament to his control over the infernal airwaves. Tonight, however, a singular frequency resonated with him—a presence that shimmered amidst the sea of lost souls.
Y/N, a striking model whose essence transcended the ordinary, became the focal point of Vox's attention. Drawn to her like a moth to a flame,or Valentino to Angle dust, Vox envisioned her as the star of his upcoming TV show. The backstage of Vox's studio buzzed with otherworldly energy as Y/N prepared for the spectacle that awaited her.
Vox, watching her every move through his screens, couldn't help but feel a magnetic pull. She embodied a rare blend of beauty, confidence, and an untamed spirit that resonated with his own desire for control. No wonder she made it through Velvet.
The atmosphere backstage crackled with anticipation. Vox, ever the showman, orchestrated the visual feast that would unfold on the screens of the City. The cameras, guided by his meticulous vision, captured Y/N's every angle and expression, turning the backstage chaos into a masterpiece that amplified her captivating frequencies.
As the show reached its crescendo, Vox descended onto the stage himself, his screens displaying a kaleidoscope of admiration. "Y/N, my dear, you're not just a model. You're a masterpiece in the ever-shifting canvas of Hell," he declared, the words echoing through every TV set in the city.
Y/N, caught in the mesmerizing atmosphere Vox had orchestrated, met his gaze with a playful glint in her eyes. "Well, Vox, you certainly know how to put on a show."
The backstage chaos faded as Vox and Y/N retreated into a more secluded area, away from the prying eyes of the studio crew. The air crackled with an unspoken tension, the boundary between the curated TV spectacle and the pulsating reality of their connection blurring.
Vox, usually in control, felt a surge of something uncharted. The lines between the TV demon and the model began to blur as they exchanged playful banter, their laughter echoing through the backstage corridors.
In a moment of irresistible impulse, Vox closed the distance between them, his lips meeting Y/N's in a passionate kiss. The backstage chaos faded into the background as they lost themselves in the intensity of the moment. The allure of Hell seemed to dissipate, leaving only the connection between Vox and Y/N—a symphony of desire and an unexpected union behind the scenes. He lost himself in the kiss with his model, superstar and masterpiece.
As they broke the kiss, Vox's screens displayed a spectrum of colors, reflecting the tumultuous emotions within him. Y/N, with a mischievous glint in her eyes, whispered, "You really do know how to surprise, Vox."
The airwaves of Hell buzzed with the frequencies of their connection, the backstage now transformed into a haven where desire and control intermingled. Vox, still captivated by the enigmatic model, smiled. "In Hell, my dear, surprises are the spice of existence."
"Your so beautiful." He whispered.
"Maybe I should give a private Show." She replied playfully.

Prologue Part I Part II
𝕋he crowd roared, voices blending into a deafening wave of cheers as the members of Twilight Dreamers, the hottest K-pop boy group of their generation, stepped onto the stage for their closing act. The stadium was electric with anticipation, and when the opening notes of their iconic song, "Endless Echo," filled the air, the energy reached a fever pitch. The song was more than just a track; it was an ode to their devoted fans, Moonbeams, an anthem of eternal connection that tied the fans and idols together in an unbreakable bond.
Asher, the main vocalist, took center stage, his sapphire-blue eyes sweeping over the adoring crowd, each face lit with joy and tears. His voice rang out, pure and emotive, pouring out the heartache and passion of the lyrics, which spoke of unending love and loyalty. Every note resonated with raw emotion, drawing tears from fans who clung to each word, each line of "Endless Echo" reverberating through the stadium like a heartbeat. Damian and Theo stood by his side, hands stretched out to the crowd, their harmonies blending perfectly with Asher's voice. They swayed, matching the rhythm, while fans waved back, each hand reaching for the connection they felt with their idols. In the back, Clade and Nex held their ground, hyping up the crowd with smooth, effortless dance moves and infectious smiles, their playful interactions adding a layer of excitement to the heartfelt moment.
However, unlike their other performances, each time this song would play – it would be Asher who captivated them all: His eyes closed as he sang the final high note with a soulfulness that held the power to break million hearts in a blink.
When his voice faded, he opened his eyes, and the stadium erupted. He looked at his bandmates with a warm, grateful smile, and together they side-hugged, bowing to their fans. The roar of the crowd echoed like a euphoric pulse that had yet to settle. As they exchanged looks with wide grins, their hearts raced, riding on the thrill of their last performance for the year.
All the members would be focusing on their respective solo projects and taking much needed rest until their comeback scheduled after six to seven months. Thus, this performance meant a temporary farewell gift to their fans – who would eagerly await their return. They shared a final wave with the fans, relishing every cheer and lightstick that illuminated the stadium like a sea of stars.
But as they left the stage and stepped behind the curtain, the lights dimmed and the magic faded.
By the time they climbed into the van, a sense of quiet had already settled over them. They slipped into their usual seats, the atmosphere inside shifting from celebratory to subdued.
The contrast was stark: only moments ago, they were flawless idols, bathed in adoration, embodying the unreachable ideal their fans cherished. Now, they were just five young men, caught in the strange in-between of fame and reality.
Theo chuckled at something on his phone, while Nex's face creased with a deep frown as he scrolled through messages. Clade peered over Nex’s shoulder, momentarily concerned before his lips curved into an amused smirk - entertained by the maknae’s frustration, while Damian lay back with his arms crossed, eyes shut, brows knit as if blocking out the exhaustion that lingered beneath the night’s high. The thrill of the stage had drained away, leaving a quiet, almost hollow void in its wake.
Everyone knew that being an idol demanded a crafted image, a painstakingly curated persona. The industry sold a dream, one that promised perfection, a fantasy that kept fans enthralled with illusions of beauty and personality, setting a standard almost impossible to live up to. And yet, some fans blurred reality with their fantasies, forming attachments that were built on half-truths and well-practiced smiles, all too easily crossing lines in their devotion. But it wasn’t just the fans who played with fire; each of the members had their own way of dealing with fame’s side effects.
Damian and Theo, frequently spotted with vape pens or packs of cigarettes during livestreams, leaned into the group’s "bad boy" reputation, a rebellious streak that only made them more beloved among their fans. Clade and Nex, on the other hand, had their fair share of dating scandals, but were skillful enough to dodge serious trouble each time. The four had also earned the title of being quite the party animals - although, that was given due to the industry they were in. Their agency of course, was more than willing to cover for them, knowing that Twilight Dreamers was a lucrative powerhouse, their pristine image essential to the label’s success. Even when the recent shocking rumors of the youngest member's ties to an underground drug lord surfaced, their devoted Moonbeams stood by the boy-group, fierce in their loyalty, ready to defend their idols at any cost.
And then there was Asher.
Though Damian was the official leader, Asher was the group’s true center of gravity. Scandal-free, disciplined, and with an almost untouchable demeanor, he had become a paragon across fandoms, adored as much for his mystery as for his charm. The "Ice Prince," as he was fondly dubbed, seemed almost otherworldly in his restraint, his reputation unblemished by any hint of controversy. Fans clung to every word he wrote, especially the lyrics of Endless Echo, the song that dripped with romance and longing, exposing a softer, almost vulnerable side that surprised everyone. His fans dreamed of a partner like him, someone both devoted and complex, whose quiet allure only made him seem more perfect—and entirely out of reach.
But that too of course, was far from the truth.
The van came to a halt, and Damian, now awake, pushed the door open without a word. Theo and Clade scrambled after him, the former calling out to their leader, “Wait up, Daim! Don’t leave us behind!”
Damian strode off with his jacket thrown back on his shoulder, not looking back.
"Let him go, Theo," Clade chuckled, eyeing the red-haired male's frustration. He slipped an arm around the youngest’s waist, leaning close with a teasing glint in his eye. "We all know the real party doesn’t start until our maknae decides it’s time. Isn’t that right, Nexie?~"
Nex flinched, momentarily caught off guard, but quickly masked it with a smirk. “Yeah, why the rush? The night’s still young,” he shot back, brushing off Clade’s arm with an annoyed look. Clade chuckled, his amber eyes catching the faint blush creeping onto Nex's cheeks.
As the maknae moved to step out, Asher’s hand shot out, gripping his arm and pulling him back. His face was calm, but his icy-blue eyes held a warning that sent a chill down Nex’s spine. “Don’t overdo it,” Asher said quietly, voice barely above a whisper. “I won’t cover for you this time.”
The pink-haired male swallowed hard, caught off guard by the eldest member’s intensity. “W-What do you mean, hyung? You said it’s ok to party once in a while. Our tour just ended so—”
“You know what I mean,” Asher cut in, his voice like steel. “You’re walking a thin line. Next time, it won’t just be a hiatus. Try jail time. No career to come back to.”
“Hey, back off,” Theo spoke up, frowning. “It’s not like you’re someone to talk—”
“Theo.” Damian’s voice sliced through the tension, as the three younger idols turned to see that their leader had retraced his steps. The raven-haired male gave Theo a look, a silent command to drop it, an unexpected lifeline from Asher’s icy scrutiny.
Asher raised an eyebrow, glancing at Damian, before his gaze stiffened upon realization.
– they knew his secret.
His jaw clenched as he waited for the raven-haired male to make a move – his icy gaze a sliver away from insanity. Instead, Damian chose to play dumb and ran a hand through his hair, letting out a sigh. “Can we go already? My head’s killing me.”
The others gratefully took the cue. “Y-Yeah,” Theo muttered, nudging Nex and Clade, who quickly fell in line, all of them carefully avoiding Asher’s unyielding gaze as they filed out of the van.
Asher’s cold blue eyes followed their retreat toward the party, just another in the countless string they’d gone to since turning legal. His expression remained unreadable as they disappeared from view.
The low hum of the streetlights cast a dim glow around them as the van sat idling in a quiet backlot. Asher leaned against the open door, his gaze fixed somewhere distant, unaffected by the nervously fidgeting manager who had just stepped out of the driver’s seat.
“Mr. Baek,” Asher said coolly, still not turning his head. “Were you just admiring the view, or did you manage to handle the situation at the club?”
Baek’s hands fumbled as he clasped them together, his laugh a little too forced. “Y-Yes, it’s all done, just as you asked,” he replied, clearing his throat. “The laced drinks have been swapped for regular ones, and by morning, the supplier will be…handled. I’ll have Nex’s phone bugged again after he crashes. Just like last time.” He chuckled nervously. “I thought the little rascal had learned his lesson, but old habits, huh? Still, um...” He hesitated, glancing at Asher’s unreadable expression. “...won’t the boys eventually catch on? I mean, they might suspect you’re involved.”
Asher let out a low laugh, the kind that didn’t reach his eyes. “Why? Do you plan to snitch on me to our Dear Leader-nim just like the way you did about the Cabin.”
Baek’s face drained of color, his breath catching as he grasped Asher’s arm in panic. “N-No! I’d never! Did…Did Damian say something? That—” His words faltered as Asher’s gaze turned ice-cold, and he pulled his hand back as if burned. “Please, Asher, believe me! I didn’t tell him anything. That day, he must’ve overheard us on his own—I swear, I didn’t—”
“Relax, Mr. Baek,” Asher said smoothly, clamping a firm hand on the manager’s shoulder. "I was just kidding."
He smiled, although that didn’t reach his cold eyes. “You have been dedicated to our group since its inception for several years now. Moreover, I’ve known you since I was a kid; you’re like an older brother to me. I trust you wouldn’t betray that.”
Baek’s face broke into a hesitant smile, relief flooding his features—until Asher tightened his grip on his shoulder, the smile widening ever so slightly. “At least, not intentionally,” he added, voice laced with something unspoken. “And it seems our Leader-nim is is content to stay out of this, so it’s all good.”
The manager seemed to regain life as he sighed in relief, but that only lasted for a solid second before Asher yanked him forward by the back of his head, their faces mere inches apart. His voice dropped to a whisper, sharp enough to slice through the tension. “Consider yourself lucky no one else overheard. If this ever leaked to the media… let’s just say I’d have my own way of ‘handling’ it. You might not come out so lucky, Baek.”
Baek fell to his knees, his voice shaking as he begged for forgiveness. Amusement flickered in Asher’s eyes as he watched Baek ramble on, looking hauntingly beautiful and distant, like some vengeful angel. After a moment, he placed a patronizing hand on Baek’s head, gently patting it as if he were a loyal pet.
“It’s alright, Mr. Baek,” he murmured, a twisted gentleness in his tone. “I don’t expect you to be perfect. Mistakes happen.” He ran his fingers through the manager’s hair before gripping a handful tightly, making Baek wince. “But surely you understand that we learn from our mistakes, don’t we?”
“Ah! Y-Yes, absolutely, Asher! I’ll never slip up again—”
“I wasn’t finished.” Asher’s voice turned frosty, pulling Baek’s head up so they were face-to-face, blue eyes gleaming with a hard edge. “When I said I wanted surveillance, I meant complete surveillance. Not just Nex—I want full access to all their chats and calls. Nex may have messed up, but the others aren’t far behind. They’re all barely holding it together.”
He paused, something shifting in his gaze, a flicker of wistfulness. “I get it,” he murmured. “I was worse than them. I gave you quite the hard time, didn't I ? You must be glad when it all ended. When I met… her.”
At the mention, Asher’s usual composure softened, his face momentarily flushed.
Baek, still held firmly by the hair, nodded quickly, swallowing his discomfort. He knew Asher’s past all too well—the meltdowns, the outbursts. The scars on his body were hidden now, erased by the country’s top surgeons, except for the one on his cheek, left as a reminder.
“Perhaps it’s a good thing they know my secret,” Asher mused aloud. “Maybe they’d stop running from their own shadows and find someone to call only theirs.” His grip relaxed, and Baek exhaled in relief, nodding along. “So long as it’s nothing worse than a dating scandal or some partying,” Asher added, shrugging. “Anything else is too risky. Am I clear?”
Baek gulped, scrambling to his feet. “Crystal clear, Asher. I’ll bug their devices after the party—and I’ll make sure to answer your calls in private from now on.”
The blue-eyed idol smirked, letting him go and stepping back, while Baek slumped, catching his breath. “That’s more like it,” he said with a hint of satisfaction. “I expect no next time. Don’t let me down, alright?”
Baek straightened, nodding furiously as he fixed his disheveled clothes.
“Oh, and one more thing.” Asher’s voice was casual again as he reached into his pocket. “Leave me the keys to the other car. I’ll be heading to the cabin tonight—I have no reason to stay in the city with the tour done.”
“Yes, of course. I moved your brand shoots and interviews to later in the month, as requested. I did my best to buy you time, but Mr. CEO insisted—”
“Spare me the details, Mr. Baek,” Asher waved it off, holding out his hand. “I know you must have tried to handle the old man. It's fine. As long as he protects what’s mine, I’ll be nice and keeping being his ‘golden goose.’"
The manager handed over the keys, nodding obediently. Asher’s gaze thawed as his fingers tenderly felt the familiar bad-crocheted bunny key chain attached to it. “Also, don’t disturb me unless it’s urgent,” he added softly.
Baek bowed his head, backing away, leaving the two-faced idol to his thoughts as the van finally disappeared into the night.
Asher threw his bag onto the passenger seat of his car, and started the engine. He sighed, impatient to drive off into the night – to the place he always retreated to when he got a moment to breath from his hectic schedule as an idol.
The Cabin.—a place he considered more of a home than his luxurious studio apartment in the same celebrity neighbourhood as all the rich and famous A-listers.
A place that held his kryptonite.
His everything.
You.

FILM REVIEW: Five Nights At Freddy's
★★★★☆ - 4 stars
"Prepare to have your mind blown."
Mike Schmidt: an older brother entrusted to care after his drawing-obsessed sister Abby; a young man with trauma related to the disappearance of his brother. When Mike finds a gig as a security guard at the abandoned Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, he takes it - a chance to earn the money he needs to support Abby, a chance to discover the truth about what happened to his brother. Yet what Mike finds is much more complex - the souls of five children are trapped inside the animatronics, and what they seek is revenge...
Five Night's At Freddy's is a long awaited film and undoubtedly a comprehensive love letter to the FNAF fanbase. Laced throughout the entire film are carefully curated references that only fans of the games will understand, such as 'Carl the Cupcake' killing a character named Carl and Afton's iconic line: "I always come back". It's truly a film for the fans, though without the frequency of a jumpscare for them to sit through completely unfazed.
The downfall of this film is that, at times, it can be quite confusing. Even with an understanding of the lore of the Five Nights At Freddy's universe it is incredibly easy to drown in a sea of questions and completely lose the plot. It can also be extremely difficult to place the events into the already complex timeline accepted by the internet. It also has been arguably promoted incorrectly, described as a horror when it is truly the lovechild of a thriller and mystery.
Overall, Five Nights At Freddy's is the perfect film for every FNAF lore expert and game addict. With an impressive repertoire of original game and book references and an outstanding cast, this is unquestionably one of the best films of 2023.

The Navy Court, is a standard court, ruled by The Navy Lord, a quiet, intelligent yet entitled goddess of the waters and sea. She prides herself for her unending knowledge of all things, understanding and archiving all she discovers. She is quiet and reserved, to a point that she is arrogant and prideful, thinking she is better than others for being reserved and mannered. As much as she has knowledge, she is childish and foolish, like a spoiled child. The high class of her people have the same mindset and are almost just as self absorbed as the Pale and Violet court, manners and reserved nature makes them better than other courts, thinking those who are passionate with a loud and vibrant demeanour are but savages, causing the strong rivalry between them and the scarlet court. But the low classes do not respect their Lord. Feeling like they are being ruled by a bratty child, they live their lives as pirates and thieves, not for greed but to use the wealth they steal to fund their own, better lives with honour. They have guilds that treasure bold expression and bonds with others, to spite their militant, self absorbed Lord. Because of her quietness, many suspect she has something to hide… her enclave of hushed scholars working away archiving and perfecting their collections. Nobody has seen the full extent of her archives and information except for her.
Their naval fleet and Militial ties makes them a force to be reckoned with upon the waves. It is hard to do what you please on the seas as they are HER seas. They have a close tie to the grey court, being the two infantry heavy courts, their laws and ideals mending together to form a sort of coalition; they are the enforcers of phangoria, navy being on the waters. Their fleets are intimidating, their boats large and imposing, with teams of skilled commanders and spellcasters that can bend the sea to their will, putting them at a battle advantage against seabergians and other rogue vessels. Being those who rule the seas, they have a big cargo industry, many routes owned by the navy nobles bringing resources around the landmass itself to each court harbour. Fish, historical pieces and tools.
Just as their naval fleet is used for taking the seas, they have a big industry and collective for exploration and research. The Seaberg (the phangorian ocean) is still wildly unexplored. Despite the Navy lord creating it with her own hand, it used to be a much smaller body of water. The invivarum began to grow on its own and the waters themselves followed suit, gaining a sort of conceptual consciousness. So their scholarly fleet expanded. Many are still documenting the growth of the seaberg and studying how it behaves, finding relics that are rather unexplainable to how they got there. They theorize that the seaberg is an new entity subconsciously created by the lord herself through some irresponsible birth process and the seaberg is beginning to let in foreign entities. It is still in theory. But these scholars and explorative folk are a staple in navy court. Adding to the ever-growing knowledge and endless archive of the Navy lord. The Scarlet Court isn’t the only biologically inclined court, lots of sectors in the navy court are also for marine biology, testing genes and understanding how the creatures evolved and formed during the ages.
One of the most important and impactful historical events in phangorian history is the Navy Civil War. Between that of the now titled Navy Nobles and Seabergians. With tensions high in 1723, there was two opposing ideologies. Those who despised the navy lord with her conceits, and those who desired to conserve and devote to her forevermore. The war was a messy one that completely shifted navy courtian infrastructure, systematically splitting the court in half. Many courts still frown upon them in hushed whispers, shamefully looking down upon how they could not keep their court together, especially their allies in the Grey court, but keep quiet as not to cause any conflict. Ideals range, those who are proudly nobles, those who are simply called nobles but have no true stance, and those who fervently oppose, being the seabergians. Their culture as well veered away from the strict naval fleets of the nobles and formed into something wholly new. They consider their envoy/lord to not be the navy lord, but the Seaberg itself.
Region: Merfrau (mur- fra-ou) is quite a unique place. Unlike the other courts, most of Merfrau is water. One would think they would then be mobile sea faring people, but they have stationary homes just like the others. Lovely houses and even mansions that float on the surface of the waters. Boats instead of carriages, with canals as their streets. It’s a fairly temperate place, not too hot yet not too cold, not as it would affect anything else than water temperature. Surface vegetation would be next to none, but underneath the waves, there is an abundance of natural structures and plants that aid in their lifestyle. Heat vents down below have been attached to pistons that naturally heat and power their ‘tech’. They even use the tides to their advantage, the movement being used for power as well. Even the sea will naturally light up the night as bioluminescent creatures will surface, a soft blue glow lighting the canals. The sea does have its cons, when a storm hits, most have to stay in their homes, their homes being somewhat secured to the seabed by chains. Their interiors may get a bit messy as their homes will be pushed around due to waves, sometimes one might even lose a boat to the storms.

porn star.
Roth’s just powerless.
The gold tooth might explain his situation.
The divergence came with “Sinful Seas”, in which Roth pressed on with his failing career in sex. Drowning in debt, someone pulled him from the mire and made him a star.
Valentino, did. Roth owes his success to him, all to him. In that, Valentino sunk his teeth into Roth’s soul. Enthralled, Roth had little choice but to play along. Smile on cue. Do the scene despite every atom in your soul screaming in disgust. Not giving it your all meant Valentino would be displeased. Roth knows that.
In this, Roth has money. Roth has comforts and stardom. People know him, people want him. They see the curated image; the fantasy Roth portrays. Once the cameras are off, Roth is empty. What’s more, he’s numb to the very core. The sex is now just that, routine and barely recreational.
The only emotions on his mind are apathy, annoyance and dread. Other than that, Roth is just a husk, a marionette for Valentino.
Roth fears only one thing; uselessness. He doesn’t want Valentino to suddenly become bored with him. He fears it like the end of days.
What’s worse, this fear has forced Roth into more extreme arts. He pushes the envelope, burning away what dignity he has left. Yet, Valentino’s favorites keep coming out ahead of Roth. Angel Dust, being one such favorite.
In that, Roth has an all-consuming jealousy and envy for Angel. One bordering on murderous.
In this, Roth is powerless. There’s no magic to give him the edge. No Yellow King. No Night Gaunts or his friends from Gehenna Cabs. No Buzz. No Kerosene. Nobody. Roth is alone, with his abuser and employer. The man who owns him and keeps him afloat.
Hopeless and trapped.
Ready to do something terrible and drastic.

10 Things about me
Tagged by @whimsyswastry , thank you very much! :D
Rules || Share 10 facts about yourself and tag 10 other blogs! I want to get to know my mutuals, and the people I follow a little bit :) The facts can be about anything!
Tagging: @salsedine @ndostairliryum @shivunin @demandthedoodles @zenstrike @idolsgf @scribbledquillz and @ YOU. You who are reading. Of course ignore me if you mind the tag! :3
Contrary to people's and to the algorithm of my Instagram's belief, I am not a horse girl. I took some lessons and love to pet horses, but I never went past trot and it's ages since I last rode. I am a missed horse girl, yes, but not one. That's Aisling who took control of my socials and I can't fight her.
I can sail. My father lives by the sea and helped in regattas, I've been around boats all my summers until I decided my mental health was more important.
In spite of that, I can't tie knots to save my life. I never learnt. Not for lack of trying. I tie bows and shoelaces, that's it. My sailor career sank before it started.
I don't like shoes, I don't like having them on, I would live barefoot if I could and if walking barefoot in a city didn't disgust me so much, first thing I do when I get back home is taking my shoes off.
I have mental health issues, but I seldom speak about them with people who don't tell me first they have similar issues or are neurodivergent, because I'm tired of having people giving me advices, or saying they are supportive and then acting annoyed when I show symptoms or put up boundaries.
I am very weak for food and will lose every scrap of dignity eating things I like, and I'd say I'm sorry if I was. Actually, I'm not.
My nickname is "Arja" and it's read "Ah-ree-ah". Dued to pettiness, I refuse to write it in the English correct spelling because I don't want to be associated to a certain saga that I really liked until its author started talking shit about Tolkien and the infamous last season of the show came out.
I took 11 years of piano lessons, but it was always for fun and I'm not as nearly as good as I should be. I'm teaching myself the ukulele and I'm enjoying that A LOT.
I very, very seldom cry at movies. The notable exceptions has been Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen as a band are very important to me), Star Wars Episode VIII (last Carrie Fisher movie, I grew up with SW and… I wasn't ready to let Leia go), Lilo and Stitch. I always cry with The Show Must Go On. When it goes "My soul is painted like wings of butterflies" I start crying. The last time I was at the hairdresser and the hairdresser thought she had set the water on "Scorching hot".
I have a collection of museums and exhibits I've been kicked out from for being the very last one in the building. The best time was in Florence Archaeological Museum. The curator came to shepherd-dog me out because they all were litterally waiting for me to go home and have lunch and I hadn't interpreted the first "We're reaching the closing hour" as a "You must get out NOW". Oops. (He was super nice when he clarified it)

22 answers for a fanfic 2022
Thanks to @curator-on-ao3 for providing this template and @emilie786 for encouraging me to fill it out!
1. fandoms you wrote for this year
Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek: Prodigy, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and Star Trek: Voyager
2. favorite fic you wrote this year
And Still, The Sea is Salt - I’m really proud of this one. I spent a lot of time refining it and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. Also I’m obsessed with the poem I took the titles from and how well the poem aligned with the story I wanted to tell!
3. favorite fic you read this year
I honestly can’t pick a favorite! I read so many and the vast majority were absolutely incredible!!!
4. favorite opening line/scene you wrote this year
My most recent fic, Parent-Teacher Association, has probably one of my favorite opening scenes I’ve ever written:
Trip Tucker considered himself a blessed man; he had a wonderful wife that he shared a deep love with, a comfortable house in a nice neighborhood, and two incredible children he would do just about anything for.
He’d suffered a lot of hardship to get here. He’d seen loss, he’d seen death, he’d seen evil.
All of this was to say that, right then and there, Trip Tucker was pretty sure he was looking evil right in its big, ugly eyes once more.
“Dear, you’re staring.” T’Pol’s even, soothing voice broke him out of his trance, though he didn’t take his eyes off of Evil Incarnate herself: Mrs. Olivia Shelley.
She was head of the PTA, head of the fundraising committee for the soccer team, and the mother of Jameson Shelley, who had pushed and teased his eldest child, Elizabeth, a little too much for Trip’s liking.
Is it an earth shattering opening? Nah. Did I giggle a lot while writing it because PTA Dad Trip Tucker amuses me? Absolutely.
5. favorite ending line/scene you wrote this year
And Still, The Sea is Salt ended with a scene/line that I fermented in my head for a really long time and really liked:
Before grief can really take over La’An’s mind, however, Andy’s dark ponytail bobs enthusiastically through the kitchen as she starts explaining the ins and outs of her new assignment and the animals she hopes to encounter. La’An smiles and takes a seat as she watches Andy pull a dish of strawberries, big enough to share, from the fridge, as well as the ingredients needed to grill habanero burgers.
Something in La’An’s soul warms, watching Andy’s deft movements and twinkling, blue eyes.
And she thinks to herself that, maybe, people are never really gone.
6. a trope you wrote this year
Uh, babies. I write a lot of babyfic. I also really like Established Relationship, Family Fluff, and Found Family.
7. pairings you wrote this year
Janeway/Chakotay, Pike/Una, and Trip/T’Pol
8. a fic regret from this year
I have some fics I started with concepts I’m obsessed with that I ultimately abandoned because it wasn’t turning out the way I wanted. I hope to revisit some of them one day, but for now they haunt me from my wips folder.
9. a song that helped you write
I had a few songs that gave me bits of inspiration throughout the year, but, honestly, the poem “Stars, I have seen them fall” by A.E. Houseman was my biggest inspiration this year. Which is really unusual because I’m not typically super into poetry.
10. total number of fics you posted
11!
11. total number of words you posted
36,620
12. most popular fic written this year
By hits, it was Loopholes. By kudos, it was I’ll Always Be Around, Wherever Life Takes You.
13. least popular fic written this year
By hits and kudos: Parent-Teacher Association. Which makes sense because I published it less than a week ago lol.
14. longest completed fic you posted this year
And Still, The Sea is Salt has 9,455 words. It’s my third longest fic of all time!
15. shortest completed fic you posted this year
The Plan has 323 words. My shortest fic of all time!
16. favorite character to write about this year
It’s a tie between Una Chin-Riley, Chris Pike, and Trip Tucker. I had so much fun writing these characters and exploring their voices and movements in fiction.
17. a fic you didn’t expect to write
Honestly, my Prodigy fic, Echoes off of Cave Walls, wasn’t something I thought I was going to write! I wasn’t planning to write any fic for that show but inspiration struck!
18. most memorable comment/review
I honestly can’t pick one that is the most memorable because I hoard comments on my fics away to read for later when I need a seretonin boost like Gollum with the ring of power. That said, reactions to Chapter 3 of And Still, The Sea is Salt were hilarious and I reread those a lot because they make me laugh.
19. trends you noticed in your writing this year
I think I tried a lot of new things this year with my writing. I tried co-writing for the first time (shout out to @emilie786 for writing 3 fics with me in 4 days this July. That was so fun!). I got back into writing longer fics a bit. I broke out of my serial fluff writing to do some angst. I tried writing in a different tense and really enjoyed it. I feel like I let myself write more humor and kind of established a comedic beat I really enjoy. It was a fun year for trying new things.
That said, I also wrote a lot of baby fic because that’s what I do and I like it 😉.
20. fics you wanted to write but didn’t
Oh boy, the list is long, and there are some I don’t wanna talk about quite yet because I’m not quittin’ on em yet but here are some that I attempted and never finished:
- Star Trek Voyager fic taking place after Endgame where Voyager gets a refit and utilizes the holographic emitters placed around the ship to reveal that Voyager is, and has always been, sentient. The plan was for Voyager to spend a lot of time talking with Kathryn to help ease a lot of the guilt Kathryn feels about her actions in the DQ.
- Chris and Una go on a horseback riding date complete with swing dancing, bonfires, and kissing. (It was intended as a sequel to Ex Equis, Scientia, but I tried really hard to write it and it never felt quite right to me. Might try it again later idk.)
- I had some vague ideas about more stories in the Aftermath AU, but I never got around to writing them because I got Pikeuna brainrot over the summer and Brain didn’t wanna write J/C lol.
21. something you want to write next year
I don’t have a lot of solid plans because I am at the whim of my current hyperfixations BUT I think I’ll probably write more Pikeuna after SNW season 2 begins and I hope to add on to the Trip/T’Pol AU I started in the PTA fic. @emilie786 and I have also been throwing around some ideas I’m excited about so we might cook something up as well 😉.
22. an idea from one of your fics that you want people to think about!
In my story, And Still, The Sea is Salt, I really thought a lot about what legacy really can look like; sometimes our legacy isn’t an empire, or a scholarship program, or a scientific discovery - sometimes simply being ourselves is enough to impact people around us in little ways that allows us to live on after we are gone. Every day we interact with so many people, and each of those interactions has the potential to leave an impact, whether we’ve known that person for 2 seconds or 2 decades. I think there’s something beautiful about being able to have a legacy built on strawberries and hot sauce and kindness.
#personal#long post#fanfic year in review 2022#ALL MY WRITING BUDDIES PLEASE DO THIS I WANNA READ YOUR STUFF !!!!!

kate valdez. she/her. cis woman. ›spotted at the met steps , gabriela gatmaitan , most likely listening to me and my husband by mitski with their airpods pro . the twenty-six year old gained quite a reputation , known to be -puppeteering yet +mesmerizing to anyone who knows them . you'll easily spot them when you hear about the gentle wash of seafoam as the sea sleeps into the shore ; the illuminating iridescence of pearls reflecting the moonlight ; the delicate and intricate threads of elaborate lacework manipulated into being by careful hands , followed by their delina by parfums de marly . latest nepoupdates article talks about how gabriela's billionaire husband cheated on her and impregnated his secretary, leading to divorce proceedings that became a national spectacle , but i guess any reputation is good reputation .
name: gabriela gatmaitan age: twenty-six gender: cis woman pronouns: she/her orientation: bisexual heterosexual occupation: socialite traits: — charismatic / determined / ambitious / perceptive — puppeteering / materialistic / traditional / cutthroat
BACKGROUND
There are many names that she has been called through her short lifetime, but there is one phrase that captures all of them succinctly: sugar baby.
Gabriela Gatmaitan was born into nothing. Her parents were nameless and aimless and unimportant; the stars had written the same fate for the young child. And yet she dared to dream of more — she dared to dream to reach for these imposing stars, she dared to dream to crush them in her hands, and she dared to dream to scintillate in their place. There were two assets she was born with that would allow her to usurp the stars: one, she is beautiful and charming and many are quick to acquiesce to her wishes and forgive her for any and all sins; two, she is cutthroat and ambitious — she will not stop at mere dreams, she will forge the world she desires from strings she has woven and manipulated with her own hands.
The first step is this: she brings value to herself and weaves her way into the spaces that the affluent are wont to frequent. The public schools of Boston are well-funded and she dedicates her entire self to a curriculum vitae holistic and worthy of applause; she applies for scholarship to a school prestigious and far above her means. She may have begun jagged at the edges, but soon enough she is polished to the pre-molded image of perfection, taking even then her rightful throne by the side of those in power, exchanging her entire being for lavish, beautiful adornments. When the time comes to choose her higher education, she chooses nothing but the best: she is destined for Harvard.
The second step is this: there is diminishing marginal returns in overperforming in one’s education. Instead, she spends her time curating the perfect connections. Friends of friends. Family friends of friends. She maneuvers through these spaces as though she was born into them, and across the room her eyes meet his desirous gaze. It is at that moment that she finds her life’s purpose. There is, even for Gabriela, a limit to her ambitions: she does not think it is in her place to accomplish the domination of the world. Instead, she sidles herself by the side of he who had full capacity to do so, and engaged all that she has in order to endear this man to her until he succumbs mind, body, and soul to her will and desire.
The third step is this: when he asks her to marry him, she says yes. She constructs the perfect self for this man; she performs every role dutifully in order to serve his every need. She does nothing with the education she has clamored so hard to achieve in order that she can devote herself full-time to his service. She plays the perfect wife so that he never suspects the machinations that she so underhandedly executes, and soon her fingers play the strings behind his every move. She did all that she could, and yet —
It is not enough.
It is not even by her mistake that the strings fall from her grasp. It is nothing but the product of time and the inevitable desires of those who are so used to having all that they wish; she is replaced with a girl younger and more exciting, and there is nothing that she can do about it. And she fights tooth and nail, she fights until her hands bleed, but the battle has long been lost. She is cast aside. And so she rains hell upon him. She may not have the considerable resources that he has, but she is driven by the violent desire for blood.
But even when she manages to usurp half of the empire they once ruled as emperor and empress, her victory feels empty. Gabriela has lost everything, and not even all the beautiful things in the world can replace that which she now lacks: a purpose.
HEADCANONS
— Despite all that she has been through and what she has had to do to get where she is, Gabriela is rather traditional and conservative. Despite this, she’s not unfriendly nor as snobbish as she might first seem. She gets along well with people. Most of the time. — She prefers elegant soirées, galas, and balls to nightclubs and wild parties. — She loves beautiful things: she collects fashion and art and jewelry; she loves fine and exclusive things: she often goes to Michelin-starred restaurants and often purchases inexcusably expensive liquor. More than that, she loves to give and loves to share. She often hosts luxury shopping sprees and opulent dinners for her friends. — WIP

Anchoring for wedding: Anchoring Our New Beginning
"Anchoring Our New Beginning: A Love Story Set to Sail"
In the tapestry of life, few moments carry the weight of significance like a wedding day. It's a culmination of love's journey, the intersection of two souls navigating the vast sea of existence. And within this grand narrative, there lies a motif of profound symbolism—the anchor.
Imagine a scene where the azure sky meets the tranquil sea, where the gentle breeze whispers promises of tomorrow. Here, amidst the rhythm of crashing waves, two hearts find their mooring, firmly anchored in the embrace of love. Such is the essence of "Anchoring Our New Beginning," a tale of two souls ready to set sail into the boundless horizon of matrimony.
As dawn breaks on this auspicious day, anticipation hangs in the air like the morning mist over the ocean. Friends and family gather, each a witness to the unfolding saga of love. The venue, adorned with nautical accents, speaks volumes about the couple's journey—filled with adventure, resilience, and the promise of a shared destiny.
The ceremony itself becomes a beacon of hope, illuminating the path forward for the newlyweds. As they exchange vows beneath a canopy of billowing sails, their promises resonate like the echo of distant shores. With each declaration of love, they affirm their commitment to weather life's storms together, anchored by the strength of their bond.
In the exchange of rings, symbols of eternal devotion, the couple seals their covenant with a kiss—a gesture as timeless as the tides. It's a moment suspended in time, where past, present, and future converge in perfect harmony. And as they embark on this new chapter of their lives, they do so with hearts full of promise and eyes set on the horizon.
The reception unfolds like a grand celebration, a feast for the senses reminiscent of a jubilant seafaring crew. Tables adorned with seashells and driftwood evoke the spirit of the ocean, while lanterns cast a warm glow reminiscent of starlight on the water. Each element carefully curated to reflect the couple's love story—a narrative woven with threads of adventure, passion, and unwavering commitment.
As guests raise their glasses in toast, the room fills with laughter and music—a symphony of joy that reverberates through the night. Here, amidst the revelry, the couple takes center stage, their first dance a testament to the beauty of unity. With each step, they glide across the dance floor as if navigating the currents of life, their love the compass guiding their every move.
And as the evening draws to a close, the couple bids farewell to their loved ones, embarking on a journey that will take them to places unknown. Together, they stand on the threshold of a new adventure, their hearts anchored to one another, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
For "Anchoring Our New Beginning" is more than just a wedding—it's a testament to the power of love to anchor us in times of uncertainty, to steer us towards brighter horizons. And as the stars twinkle overhead, casting their reflection on the tranquil waters below, one thing becomes abundantly clear—love is the anchor that keeps us grounded as we set sail into the great unknown.

Ooh yes! I will gladly talk about my character's Ancients! All the other's ancients are under Keep Reading!
Hohoka's Ancient - Eos (Azem)
Eos was created by Hyperion and Thelia. She was an experiment gone awry - an attempt at an Elemental attuned to all the elements. In the process, an errant soul was caught and created a young child - their soul inextricably bound to all the elements. The first 13 years of her life were spent in a room, being analyzed and tested. It wasn't until her guilt-ridden mother beseeched Venat, Azem at the time, to save the living creation she had come to think of as her own daughter. The moment Eos laid her eyes on the beautiful world around she fell in love. Because of her love for the world (and in order to hide her secret and protect her), Venat announced Eos as her successor when the time came. As a result of her upbringing, Eos has a severe distaste for creation magics and how creations are treated. She is amazingly strong physically and magically despite the fact that she refuses to create. She could be equal to Hades in strength if she didn't deny that part of herself - which is fun when a certain 'familiar' shows up in Elpis. Emet-Selch and Hyth tell themselves that she's a familiar for Azem but they know she's not. They just can't think of anything else that would make even the slightest bit of sense. Funny enough, I had the idea for Eos being a creation with a soul before Pandaemonium and Athena showed up in story. For some reason, my brain focused on Urianger's one line in ARR that WOL's aether is strange when creating ideas for Eos. That quest line only made it better though: Athena is creepily interested in what answers Eos' existence could hold for her. And Eos is disgusted by her. Man, this is going on a long time and I still have others to talk about!
Kiyomi Umihou - Actaea
Actaea was a researcher at the Metabaseos Thalassai, studying creations destined for the seas. Though she loved the water, research wasn't her passion, and she could often be found slacking, daydreaming, or both. One day her daydreaming got away from her as did the creation she was supposed to be monitoring in the wild. Azem snapped her out of her dreams and helped her find the escaped creation. Afterward, they got to talking about what she was thinking so hard about: the beautiful waters that she could only truly catch glimpses of in her busy life. Azem offered her a spot as a Word of Azem
Aluette Verbena - Ianthe
Ianthe was a newly appointed researcher under Emmerololth's branch of medicine and healing. She had wanted to help people but found that her role was all paperwork. After all, what good is a healer in a world which had nearly eradicated disease? Her dreams of helping all life across the star looked to be fated to falter. But then she met Iphis, a wounded adventurer, and they talked of his travels to far corners of the world. Then, a week or two later, a wounded Azem came to her. As they got to talking, Azem mentioned how much she would love a healer on the road. Ianthe gladly joined her
Quill Verbena - Iphis
Iphis was the child of two curators from Anamnesis Anyder and grew up surrounded by the knowledge of the world. It was here he learned the joys of writing his own experiences, his parents keeping a little shelf of everything he had written and explored. Through these writings and always looking for more to write about, Iphis became an adventurer. Even though his parents hoped he would follow in their steps, they knew he wouldn't be happy stuck in the archives. His journeys awoke to his true nature and also met Azem.
Aisbryda Wyznbyrtwyn - Chione
Chione was a warrior, a master with a sword - though she would never claim so. She was offered a spot under Pasharot, but she refused on the grounds of wanting to be free from such burdens. She did not desire to be a paragon of discipline and order, instead preferring to help whomever she should come across in need of a sword. Chione happened to meet the newly appointed Azem, Eos, doing battle with a frenzied creation made stronger by magic. Though Eos was strong, she relied far too much on magic to take the beast down. This mistake on Eos' part made the beast strong enough that it took the two of them to cut it down.
Faine Beltarois - Kallisto
To most ancients, Kallisto was selfish and hedonistic. She just enjoyed life to the fullest, indulging in whatever passions might happen to light her heart at the time. This often meant wearing anything except her drab - but socially appropriate- robe and looking for ways to accessorize and change up her outfit. Azem was the first person to compliment her fashion sense instead of finding it uncouth.
Odinvel Urselmert - Brontes
Brontes was a gentle giant, even among ancients. He loved making music in tandem with the environment that surrounded him. Some found it intriguing, some found it annoying, but very few could truely piece together what his music meant. Azem, who happened to hear his song while coming out from a Convocation meeting, happened to be one of the ones who understood. They bonded over their shared understanding and he decided to journey with her.
Albi Halibi - Herodotus
Herodotus was a very well educated, older gentleman. He shone in debate, but he found himself fascinated by the idea of who came before them. He would seek to answer this question by traveling the world over for any sign of ancient civilization. It was on one of those endeavors that he came across Azem. They journeyed together for a while, where he quickly learned that she did not debate well. So he took the opportunity to teach her.
