Sougo Photobook: Special Interview

“Tamaki-kun has full confidence in me, I'm very thankful.”

Tamaki: Hey, Sou-chan.

Sougo: What is it Tamaki-kun?

Tamaki: How do you start an interview?

Sougo: Eh? Um, I think you can start whenever you feel like it?

Tamaki: Then let's do it. Interview starts now.

Sougo: Okay. Please take care of me.

Tamaki: I am your interviewer today. You should respect me.

Sougo: I know that. You can ask me anything.

Tamaki: Mikki and Yama-san told me to do this as if I'm stripping you, but I have never seen someone strip during interviews, have you?

Sougo: That's a metaphorical expression. You don't actually have to strip me.

Tamaki: I know that already!... Here's the first question, okay?

Sougo: Okay.

Tamaki: Wait, where are my question notes?

Sougo: When I reminded you to not forget it last night, you said you had put it in your pocket, remember?

Tamaki: Did I? Oh, it's here! Nice, Sou-chan. Okay then, the first question, how did the cover photo shoot go?

Sougo: In a nutshell, I was so nervous......

Tamaki: Why? Is it because I'm the producer?

Sougo: That's not it, the others' photobooks got so popular so I felt pressured... I didn't think Yamato-san and Mitsuki-san would look so mature in theirs. I'm one of the adults in our group, so if everyone expects me to be like those two, I'm afraid I can't meet their expectation...

Tamaki: Calm down for now.

Sougo: Sorry, we just finished the shooting but thinking about everyone's responses when my photobook pictures get posted on SNS scares me...

Tamaki: Gain some confidence. You're Eroero Violet, aren't you.

Sougo: That's just everyone making fun of me.

Tamaki: That might be true, but you told me that having no confidence can bother others, didn't you? Don't you think complaining about your own photobook can hurt my feelings too, as your producer?

Sougo: Uuh... You're right. Yeah, thank you so much for being my producer, Tamaki-kun.

Tamaki: Very good. You also think your photobook cover looks nice, don't you?

Sougo: Yeah, Thanks to your producing, we got a nice photo.

Tamaki: I know, right?! I was aiming for the best cover in the world.

Sougo: Tamaki-kun has full confidence in me, I'm very thankful.

Tamaki: Fufun. You can call me Producer Tamaki if you want.

Sougo: Okay. Producer Tamaki, what was your vision while producing my cover?

Tamaki: Well, the truth is, uum... Speaking like a producer is difficult so can I talk normally?

Sougo: Fufu, go ahead.

Tamaki: Sou-chan, you often stare at Ryuu-aniki and Gakkun's two-shot cover, right? (1)

Sougo: What are you saying all of a sudden!? Excuse me, please cut that one out just now.

Tamaki: Isn't it fine? It's no big deal.

Sougo: No, it is. It's a big deal. What would you do if those two find out about this interview?

Tamaki: I don't really care but we can just ask them to sign it.

Sougo: Tamaki-kun, you're a genius... I mean no, that's not the point... Uuh...... (2)

Tamaki: I'm the interviewer today so you don't have the right to cut anything.

Sougo: That's harsh...

Tamaki: I'm stripping you in this interview after all.

Sougo: ... If you put it that way then I understand. I'm prepared now. Go ahead and say anything about me.

Tamaki: Okay, let's continue. You always sigh whenever you see Yama-san and Mikki’s pictures so I thought you wanted to be like them. That's why I decided to take your photo on a bed.

Sougo: I see. Yamato-san and Mitsuki-san took theirs on a bed so I thought all the adults in our group should do that.

Tamaki: You shouldn't pay a lot of attention to the others' cover. It's your own cover, not theirs.

Sougo: I respect that part of you, Tamaki-kun.

Tamaki: Are you praising me?

Sougo: I'm praising you.

Tamaki: Thanks. And I think everyone will ask why didn't Sou-chan strip here so I'll say it first. Sou-chan actually did it half-naked at first, but since he's so thin, I decided to make him wear a shirt. (3)

Sougo: Don't say that... I thought I would be stripping ever since Yamato-san's photobook was released so I started training my muscles regularly but, it's harder than I thought... If I failed everyone's expectation, I am terribly sorry.

Tamaki: You're sexier when you're clothed so don't worry.

Sougo: That's kind of you, but I can't stay like this so I'll continue my muscle training from now on.

Tamaki: Go for itー

Sougo: Thanks.

Tamaki: Okay next question, how did the shooting of the special cut go?

Sougo: We shot it while sitting on a sofa in a cafe, didn't we? Compared to the cover, the special cut has a natural feel in it so I got used to it easily at that time.

Tamaki: I am glad to hear that. (4)

Sougo: Fufu, what was your intention in producing this cut, Producer Tamaki?

Tamaki: That day when Sou-chan came home late, I held a meeting with the others to discuss what Sou-chan's best charm point was. In the end, we decided that it's your kind side, and then from a girl’s magazine that I borrowed from Iorin, it said that 'a man looks kinder when he sits next to you and pays attention to you,' so I decided to use that.

Sougo: To think that everyone thought about this for me, I'm so happy. This is off topic but, I didn't know Iori-kun reads girl magazines... Is it for his studies? He's such a hard worker.

Tamaki: He just says it's for studies to hide the fact that he's actually interested in them though.

Sougo: Tamaki-kun, I think Iori-kun will get angry at you later.

Tamaki: Seriously? I'll apologize before that. Iorin, I'm sorry―.

Sougo: I asked Tamaki-kun so I'm in fault as well. I'm so sorry.

Tamaki: There it is. Sou-chan's bad habit, always blaming himself.

Sougo: I didn't mean to...

"It'd be nice if this photobook could at least be a return gift for everyone."

Tamaki: Hmm. Let's move on now.

Sougo: Why do you look so excited?

Tamaki: Next question is― what kind of person do you like?

Sougo: I see. It's the question you tried to skip before when Mitsuki-san asked.

Tamaki: Shut up. Mikki said asking this was fun and I have to agree.

Sougo: I'm glad you're having fun but I don't have an interesting answer to that. I like a calm person.

Tamaki: That's quick! Be more embarrassed!

Sougo: Eeh?

Tamaki: Answering it that fast isn't fair―

Sougo: Sorry. You were so cute when you were embarrassed about this, you know?

Tamaki: I wasn't embarrassed! Damn it, I'll ask more embarrassing things now.

Sougo: What is it?

Tamaki: Have you ever dated a person that fits your type?

Sougo: Tamaki-kun!? We are idols so that kind of question is NG, you know that right?

Tamaki: I'm the interviewer today so it's fine. Have you done it?

Sougo: Tamaki-kun, sorry but can we have a talk in the other room right now?

Tamaki: I'm terribly sorry. It's my fault. Don't smile like that, please.

Sougo: I'm glad you understand. Let's continue the interview.

Tamaki: Yes......

Sougo: What is the next question?

Tamaki: Please tell us your happiest and saddest moments since you started in the entertainment business.

Sougo: I see.. so that's it.

Tamaki: What's with the gloomy face?

Sougo: I read your answer to this question in the "Tamaki Photobook," and I feel bad that I made you sad that time. I am so sorry.

Tamaki: Ah―

Sougo: Mitsuki-san was afraid I would feel bad after reading it so he told me before the release date.

Tamaki: What did Mikki say?

Sougo: ‘Feeling bad is natural, but what's important is to face each other so you won't do it again! Do your best!’ He gave me that advice.

Tamaki: That sounds like him.

Sougo: That time, no matter how much I apologize, it will never be enough. I'm so sorry.

Tamaki: I'm asking about your saddest and happiest moments now, you don't have to apologize.

Sougo: Thank you. But I'm already talking about that. I know I don't have the right to say this, but making you sad makes me sad as well... You have grown so fast ever since we first met, but I didn't believe in you at that time. I keenly realized that I was in fact, the one who hasn't grown at all.

Tamaki: I get that you've reflected on it.

Sougo: Yes...

Tamaki: Don't make that gloomy face… What's your happiest moment?

Sougo: Thank you. Honestly, I can't decide what my happiest moment is. I was so happy about our appearance in Black or White, every single concert we’ve held up until now, singing and doing shows with our amazing senpais like Douglas-san, Re:vale and TRIGGER, and last but not least, working as MEZZO" with you. I’ve felt so happy that these moments felt like dreams.

Tamaki: You’ve always wanted to be a musician from the very start, right?

Sougo: Yeah. There are lots of people who want to work in the music industry, but not every one of them can fulfill their dreams, so I always keep this fact in mind and work hard, to continue this job for as long as possible. I already said this but, I want to continue MEZZO" with you as long as you want to too.

Tamaki: I know that already.

Sougo: Thank you. Also, I'm happy when I hear someone complimenting IDOLiSH7 members lately. Tamaki-kun also received lots of compliments from the staff, I'm really happy about that.

Tamaki: Fufun.

Sougo: I need to work hard to get Tamaki-kun's compliment, huh?

Tamaki: I get anxious when you work too hard, you can just keep doing things as usual.

Sougo: Fufu. Thanks for worrying about me.

Tamaki: I'm not worried―. You scare me when you have weird motivation sometimes, you know.

Sougo: Then, I'll work hard without scaring Tamaki-kun.

Tamaki: That's better.

Sougo: Okay.

Tamaki: Oh, I think it's almost time. Last is, please give a message to your fans.

Sougo: Thank you very much for your support all this time. Releasing a photobook on my birthday, and what's more, a collaborating project with Re:vale and TRIGGER is such a great honor for me. It's thanks to everyone's support that we got to do this incredible job. It'd be nice if this photobook could at least be a return gift for everyone. I haven't had enough confidence in myself, but my dependable partner, Tamaki-kun, is confident in producing this book for me, so I hope it can meet everyone's expectation. As IDOLiSH7, as MEZZO", and as Osaka Sougo, I intend to keep working hard. I'd be happy if you could continue your support from now on too.
