Kaiju No. 8: The Secret of Hoshina
pairing: hoshina soshiro x reader
summary : in which hoshina soshiro has to reveal his secret wife to the Third Division
pt.2
Tumblr media
The Third Division's base buzzed with its usual energy. Soldiers trained in the yard, administrative personnel hustled through corridors, and the hum of machinery filled the air. Amidst this routine, Vice-Captain Hoshina Soshiro maintained his calm, collected demeanor, effortlessly balancing paperwork and tactical planning. However, a secret part of his life was about to unfold in the most unexpected way.
The day began like any other until an urgent message interrupted the flow. "Vice-Captain Hoshina," a young soldier called, saluting briskly. "There's a visitor at the gate requesting to see you. She says it's a personal matter."
Hoshina raised an eyebrow. "A visitor? Did she give a name?”
"Yes, sir. She said her name is y/n."
A flash of surprise crossed Hoshina's usually stoic face. He quickly masked it, but not before Captain Narumi and Kafka Hibino, who happened to be in the room, noticed.
"I'll handle this personally," Hoshina said, standing up. "Kafka, Narumi, continue with the briefing. I'll be back shortly."
As Hoshina made his way to the gate, his mind raced. y/n hadn't contacted him in years, respecting their agreement to keep her identity and their relationship a secret for her safety. Why now?
Reaching the gate, Hoshina saw a woman with long, beautiful hair and a determined expression. Her eyes softened when she saw him.
"Soshiro," y/n said, her voice a mix of relief and urgency.
"y/n," Hoshina responded, his voice gentler than usual. "What brings you here?"
She glanced around nervously. "We need to talk, somewhere private."
Hoshina led her to a secluded office, closing the door behind them. "What's wrong?" he asked, concern evident in his eyes.
"I didn't want to come here and risk exposing you, but there's something you need to know," y/n began. "A new type of kaiju has appeared. It's different, intelligent, and it knows about us."
Hoshina's expression hardened. "How do you know this?"
"I encountered it," she admitted. "It spoke to me, Soshiro. It knew my name, our connection, everything."
Hoshina felt a cold shiver down his spine. "This changes everything. We need to inform the others, but discreetly."
As they exited the office, Hoshina knew it was time to reveal a part of his life he had kept hidden for so long. He led y/n to the main briefing room where Kafka, Narumi, and the rest of the key officers were gathered.
"Everyone," Hoshina began, his voice steady. "This is y/n. She is... my wife. And she brings urgent news."
The room fell silent, shock evident on every face. Kafka blinked rapidly, Narumi's jaw dropped, and Kikoru Shinomiya's eyes widened in surprise.
"Wife?" Kafka echoed. "Hoshina, you have a wife?"
Hoshina nodded. "Yes, and her presence here is tied to a new threat. y/n, please explain what you told me."
y/n stepped forward, recounting her encounter with the intelligent kaiju. The gravity of the situation was clear to everyone.
Narumi was the first to recover. "If this kaiju knows about y/n, it could target her to get to you. We need to ensure her safety and prepare for this new threat."
Hoshina felt a surge of gratitude for his comrades' swift acceptance and focus. "Thank you. We will integrate y/n's knowledge into our strategies and ensure she is protected at all costs."
As the team sprang into action, Hoshina exchanged a glance with y/n. For the first time in years, they were together, facing a threat side by side. The revelation of their relationship brought new strength to the Third Division, a reminder of what they were fighting for—each other, their loved ones, and the future of humanity.

Hoshina Soshiro x Doctor!Reader AU, pt. 1
setting: you are the doctor at Defence Force’s base, and one specific vice-captain was falling in love with you harder and harder each time he was under your treatment
pairing: Hoshina Soshiro x Doctor!Reader (established relationship)
warnings: injuries might be described as little bit vividly, but i’ve tried not to make it too realistic…… and beside this, nothing explicit here
notes: i know that Defence Forces’ Base probably doesn’t have doctors right there but i thought it would be rational enough to have a couple of them in case of some urgencies lolol
another parts of this AU: part 1 (current one) part 2 part 3 part 4 part 5 part 6
Treat me right
You were a doctor at the Defense Force’s base, and you had to deal with wounded officers and cadets every day. Of course, this was not a job for the faint of heart, especially considering that the Defense Force are fighting against kaiju, the wounds from which are many times more terrible than those made by people. You had enough time to get used to the sight of muscles torn lengthwise and crosswise, broken ribcages and torn off joints, but in each individual case you had to show special ingenuity to save a life. This was largely helped by serums made on the basis of kaiju prototypes, allowing to speed up regeneration, but even with their use, the problems did not decrease.
With precise movements, you were finishing stitching up another officer when suddenly the door to the ward creaked open. Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed a familiar figure, and your heart skipped a few beats: Soshiro was bleeding and holding his shoulder in pain. "A dislocated joint and abdominal damage," you noted to yourself, feeling the air squeeze in your chest even more strongly. Confidence did not leave your hands, and you finished stitching up a small wound on the officer's arm, laying him down on the medical couch and instructing him on what to do next.
Having freed yourself, you, without saying a word, invited Soshiro with your eyes to go deeper into the office, behind the glass door. He obediently nodded and followed you into a separate room, sterile to the point of pain in the eyes.
"The injuries are serious," you said in a cold voice, trying not to show your worry. You didn't let your emotions interfere with the treatment, although right now you just wanted to cuddle up to Soshino and not let him go. Placing Soshino in the medical chair, you began to carefully remove the remains of the melted uniform to get a better look at the wounds. "I'm afraid we'll have to transfer you to the intensive care unit for a while, vice-captain Hoshina."
“Oh, stop it, you,” Soshiro said, smiling wearily and clutching his stomach with his hand. “No need for these formalities. We’re alone.”
“You’re right,” you exhaled, seriousness and worry mixed in your gaze. “But if I call you by your name right now, I’ll probably cry.” You’ve tried to joke, but this didn’t make you feel any better. But Soshiro still smiled widely, as he always did. “And, you know, we need to treat you at first, and unnecessary emotions will stand in our way.”
You focused all your attention on the gaping wound in Soshiro’s right side. After injecting the painkiller, you began to work on the wound, your movements confident and calm despite the storm inside.
“You’re such a professional,” Soshiro winced in pain, and then looked at you with love and respect in his eyes, and tenderness blossomed in your heart. “I like that in you. Not only that, though.”
“Shut it,” you looked away, feeling your cheeks slowly turning pink. You shook your head slightly, trying to focus on the current situation. Soshiro was surprisingly calm and collected, even relaxed, despite his wounds.
“You know,” Soshiro said quietly, opening his eyes and looking at you. “I’m glad you’re treating me again. From the very beginning, it was only you who knew how to treat me right.”
Your heart skipped a beat again. You silently finished treating Soshiro’s wound, and only then you allowed yourself to step in closer to him. You rested your head on his shoulder and carefully hugged him, pulling him into your embrace with all of your tenderness.
“You need to rest,” Soshiro said, carefully running fingers through your hair. “You tend to always overwork yourself”.
“Says who,” you smiled, feeling Soshiro’s warm body against yours. You were glad his condition became slightly better.
“So, what will be the next steps of my treatment, doctor?” Soshiro smirked playfully, making your heart run faster.
“As I’ve said before,” you said with all of your seriousness. “You will be transferred to intensive care unit, and I’ll be the one who will monitor the progress of the treatment.”
“Good,” Soshiro nodded, still resting in your arms. “I wouldn't settle for less”.
Soshiro placed a kiss on your forehead, as if it were you who needed all the care and attention, and you’ve finally felt that everything will be alright.

The weapon designer
Pairing: Hoshina Soshiro x reader
Summary: What happens when Gen Narumi's sister meets Vice-Captain Hoshina in person.
Tumblr media
--
Y/N Narumi smoothed down the creases of her sleek, midnight blue mini dress as she stepped out of the car, her gaze sweeping over the formidable structure of the Defense Force headquarters. This was her first visit to the base, accompanying her brother, Captain Gen Narumi, who had a crucial meeting with Captain Mina Ashiro and Vice-Captain Hoshina Soshiro.
Being the head designer responsible for crafting innovative weaponry for the Defense Force, Y/N was accustomed to commanding attention. Her attire today—a tailored dress that accentuated her figure with just the right amount of flair and her Rene Caovilla butterflies crystal-embellished high sandals —was a testament to her love for fashion and her penchant for making a statement.
"Are you nervous, Gen?" Y/N teased, her voice light as she linked her arm with her brother's.
Gen chuckled, his own uniform crisp and impeccable. "Not at all. Just another day at the office."
As they entered the base, Y/N's eyes widened at the bustling activity around her. Soldiers in uniform hurried past, their expressions a mix of determination and duty. The hum of activity filled the air, punctuated by the occasional sound of machinery and distant chatter.
They were escorted to Captain Mina Ashiro's office, where the atmosphere was a blend of efficiency and authority. Captain Ashiro, a commanding figure with a sharp gaze, greeted them with a nod, her attention immediately drawn to the detailed portfolio Y/N carried.
"Captain Narumi, good to see you," Captain Ashiro said, her voice carrying a hint of respect for Gen's reputation. "And this must be your sister, Y/N."
Y/N smiled warmly, extending her hand. "Pleasure to meet you, Captain Ashiro. I've heard so much about your leadership."
Captain Ashiro's stern demeanor softened slightly as she shook Y/N's hand. "Likewise. Your designs for our weapons have been impressive."
Vice-Captain Hoshina Soshiro, standing nearby, observed the exchange with interest. "Your work is vital to our mission's success, Ms. Narumi," he commented, his tone appreciative.
Y/N's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. "Thank you, Vice-Captain. I'm passionate about creating tools that ensure our forces have the best chance against the kaiju threat."
As the meeting progressed, discussing technical specifications and strategic deployments, Y/N couldn't help but steal glances at Vice-Captain Hoshina whenever he entered the room. His presence commanded attention, his posture exuding confidence and capability. She had seen pictures of him before but never in person, and she found herself captivated by his rugged good looks and the air of mystery that surrounded him.
After the meeting concluded, Y/N lingered near the exit with Gen, reviewing some final notes on her tablet. "You know, Gen," she remarked casually, "Vice-Captain Hoshina is even cuter in person."
Gen chuckled, shaking his head slightly. "I thought you might notice. He's quite popular among the recruits. And don't even think about it"
Y/N grinned mischievously. "Popular is an understatement. I have had a crush on him since I saw his profile, and don't make it seem like it's all forbidden, that just makes it hot."
Her brother chuckled again, a twinkle of amusement in his eyes. "I'm not letting my sisters get with that guy, forget about it, weren't you dating that CEO of that car company, the old guy?"
Y/N rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh we broke up, too jealous, have I told you that he had kids ? I'm too young to commite to that, and he tried to offer me those cheap Tiffany & Co. necklace, silver, it was silver Gen."
--
The Defense Force's newest innovations were on display in a sleek, high-tech showroom within the headquarters. Rows of prototype suits lined the room, each gleaming with the promise of enhanced protection and agility against the relentless kaiju threat. It was a momentous occasion, and Y/N Narumi, alongside her brother Gen, stood at the heart of it all.
Y/N, dressed to impress in an exquisite crimson dress that hugged her curves and accentuated her poise, was the embodiment of elegance amid the cutting-edge technology. Her heels clicked lightly on the polished floor as she moved from one suit to another, her eyes sparkling with pride and excitement.
"These designs are revolutionary, Y/N," Gen remarked, his voice tinged with admiration as he examined the intricate details of a suit.
Y/N beamed, her gaze sweeping over the room. "Thank you, Gen. It's been a labor of love. I'm thrilled to see them come to life like this."
The room buzzed with chatter as Defense Force personnel and invited guests mingled, discussing the capabilities of the new suits and the implications for future missions. Y/N's attention, however, was drawn to Vice-Captain Soshiro Hoshina, who stood in deep conversation with Captain Mina Ashiro and Vice-Captain Eiji Hasegawa.
She couldn't deny the thrill that surged through her as she watched him, his presence commanding attention even in the midst of the crowd. His rugged good looks and aura of confidence had always intrigued her, and tonight was no exception.
As the formal presentation concluded, the atmosphere shifted to a more relaxed tone. Waitstaff circulated with trays of gourmet appetizers and glasses of champagne, adding to the celebratory ambiance. Y/N found herself by Gen's side, a glass of champagne in hand, her cheeks flushed with a combination of excitement and the effects of the bubbly drink.
"Cheers to a successful presentation," Gen toasted, raising his glass.
Y/N clinked her glass against his, her laughter bubbling forth. "Cheers indeed, Gen. I couldn't have done it without your support."
As they sipped their champagne, Y/N's gaze drifted back to where Soshiro was now engaged in conversation with another officer. She felt a playful nudge from Gen, who leaned in with a teasing grin. "I see you eyeing Vice-Captain Hoshina."
Y/N rolled her eyes playfully. "Can you blame me? He's rather handsome, isn't he?"
Gen chuckled, shaking his head. "Just be careful, Y/N. He's not exactly known for commitment."
Y/N raised an eyebrow, her tone teasing. "Who said anything about commitment? I'm just admiring the view."
Before Gen could respond, Soshiro glanced in their direction, his eyes meeting Y/N's. A slow, confident smile spread across his face as he excused himself from his conversation and made his way over to them.
"Captain Narumi, Ms. Narumi" Soshiro greeted, his voice smooth. "Congratulations on the impressive designs. They look even better up close."
Y/N felt her heart skip a beat at his compliment. "Thank you, Vice-Captain Hoshina. I'm glad you approve, you can call me Y/N."
Soshiro's gaze lingered on her, his eyes flickering with a hint of mischief. "I must admit, Y/N, you clean up quite nicely. I don't think I've said it yet, but you look beautiful, you don't have ever use an uniform of some sort?"
Y/N chuckled, the effects of the champagne emboldening her. "Me? Those clothes hide me too much, not for me, and besides, and can do my job perfectly with my own clothes, you can be smart and good looking you know ? I have a closet full of surprises."
Soshiro raised an eyebrow, his grin widening. "Is that so? I look forward to it."
Gen cleared his throat pointedly, his expression growing more serious. "Vice-Captain Hoshina, we appreciate your kind words about Y/N's work, but perhaps it's time we let her mingle with the other guests."
Y/N shot Gen a playful glance, her lips curved in a knowing smile. "Oh, don't mind Gen. He's just protective."
Soshiro's eyes twinkled with amusement as he turned to Gen. "Of course, Captain Narumi. Wouldn't want to keep you from your sister's admirers."
With a polite nod, Soshiro excused himself and disappeared into the crowd, leaving Y/N and Gen standing in silence. Y/N couldn't help but notice the tension in Gen's shoulders, his protective instincts clearly riled by Soshiro's flirtatious demeanor.
"Gen," Y/N began, her tone gentle, "you know I can handle myself."
Gen sighed, his expression softening. "I know, Y/N. It's just… I worry about you."
Y/N reached out, placing a reassuring hand on his arm. "I appreciate that, but I'm not a child anymore. I can take care of myself."
Gen nodded slowly, his gaze searching hers. "I know. It's just hard to see you all grown up sometimes."
Y/N smiled warmly. "I'll always be your little sister, Gen. But I'm also an officer of the Defense Force. And tonight, I'm celebrating a job well done. And that cute Vice-Captain is all over me you think I'll let him get away?" She said as she drank the last portion of champagne she had on her glass.
As they continued to mingle with the guests, Y/N felt a sense of pride swell within her. She had come a long way from the little girl who dreamed of designing weapons to protect her loved ones. Tonight, surrounded by innovation and ambition, she knew she was exactly where she belonged.
And as for Vice-Captain Hoshina? Well, he certainly knew how to keep things interesting.
The night wore on, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the promise of future collaborations. Y/N watched as Soshiro mingled effortlessly with the crowd, his presence drawing people in like moths to a flame. She couldn't deny the attraction she felt towards him, nor could she ignore the way he made her heart race with just a smile.
As the lively celebration continued in the Defense Force headquarters, Y/N found a moment to slip away unnoticed. With a mischievous smile playing on her lips, she quickly scribbled her phone number and the name of the hotel and room number that she was staying at on a small piece of paper. Folding it neatly, she tucked it into the palm of her hand.
Spotting Soshiro engaged in conversation across the room, she waited for the perfect opportunity. When the crowd momentarily shifted, she subtly approached him, her heart pounding with a mix of nerves and excitement.
"Soshiro," she murmured, her voice low to avoid attention. "I have something for you."
He turned towards her, surprise flickering in his eyes as she slipped the folded paper into his hand with a playful wink. Before he could react, Y/N turned on her heel and disappeared into the crowd, her pulse racing with anticipation.
Soshiro unfolded the paper, his lips quirking into a grin as he read her message. He glanced around discreetly, ensuring no one was watching, and slipped away from the gathering.
--
She was already in the room when Soshiro arrived, away from prying eyes. The air was charged with the excitement of their clandestine meeting, the faint hum of the city providing a backdrop to their conversation.
"So, Y/N," Soshiro began, his tone laced with amusement. "You're full of surprises."
Y/N chuckled softly, her eyes sparkling in the dim light. "What can I say? I like to keep things interesting."
They talked late into the night, exchanging stories and laughter, their connection growing stronger with each passing moment. The tension between them crackled like electricity, a magnetic pull drawing them closer together.
"And here I thought you were just another officer with a knack for designing weapons," Soshiro remarked, his gaze intense as it locked with hers.
Y/N grinned, a playful glint in her eyes. "Maybe I'm more than meets the eye."
Their banter faded into a comfortable silence, the unspoken desire hanging in the air between them. Without a word, Soshiro closed the distance between them, his hand gentle as it cupped her cheek. Y/N's breath caught in her throat as she leaned into his touch, her heart racing with anticipation.
Their lips met in a tender kiss, a culmination of unspoken longing and shared attraction. Both leaning to get to the bed as they deepened their kiss.
As they reached the bed, Y/N begins to undress, slowly removing her clothing, using the given opportunity, Soshiro begins to kiss her neck and lowering more and more.
"You better take that stupid suit out. " Y/N said, now panting as Soshiro was kissing her inner tights, getting up, he removes his suit letting it go on the ground to be forgotten.
They both lay down, kissing and letting their hands explore their bodies, only the moon giving them light from the window of the room.
--
Meanwhile, back inside the headquarters, Gen Narumi noticed Y/N's absence from the festivities. He exchanged a knowing glance with Captain Mina Ashiro, a silent understanding passing between them.
"Have you seen Hoshina?" Gen asked casually, though a flicker of concern colored his tone.
Mina shook her head, her gaze scanning the room. "Not recently. Why?"
Gen's brow furrowed slightly as he pieced together the puzzle. "My sister's missing."
Understanding dawned in Mina's eyes, a knowing smile tugging at her lips. "And what does Hoshina have too do with that?"
"Because I'm aware that my little sister can be very persuasive, and that Vice-Captain of yours doesn't seem to know where to keep his hands" Gen said as clutching his fists "I'm going to kill him when I see that abnoxious ass."

Love in the Defense Force
pairing: Hoshina Soshiro x Ashiru! reader
summary: where Mina Ashiru's sister is head over heels with the Vice-Captain
--
Y/N stood at the edge of the training field, the early morning sun casting long shadows on the ground. The crisp air was filled with the sounds of recruits preparing for their first session under her command. As the platoon leader of the Third Division, Y/N took immense pride in her role. Her bubbly personality and strength as an officer had earned her the respect and admiration of her peers and subordinates alike.
She adjusted her uniform, her mind briefly wandering to her sister, Ashiru Mina, the renowned captain of the Defense Force's First Division. Mina was a legend, and Y/N couldn't be prouder to be her sister. She often found herself boasting about Mina's accomplishments to anyone who would listen. But today, the focus was on her own platoon and the new recruits she was about to train.
The recruits lined up, their eyes wide with anticipation and a hint of nervousness. Y/N's reputation had preceded her, and they were eager to see if the stories of her beauty and strength were true. She stepped forward, her presence commanding yet warm.
"Good morning, everyone!" Y/N greeted, her voice carrying across the field. "Welcome to your first day of training with the Third Division. I'm Ashiru Y/N, your platoon leader. I expect dedication, hard work, and respect. In return, I'll give you the best training you can get."
The recruits nodded, some whispering among themselves about her striking appearance and the aura of strength she exuded. Y/N noticed their admiration but maintained her professional demeanor.
"Let's start with some warm-ups," she instructed. "Follow my lead."
As they began their exercises, it became evident why Y/N was held in such high regard. Her movements were precise and powerful, her commands clear and motivating. The recruits tried their best to keep up, impressed by her physical prowess and the ease with which she led them.
After the warm-ups, Y/N gathered the recruits in a circle. "Alright, we'll move on to combat drills. Remember, technique and control are key. Strength alone won't get you far."
The recruits nodded again, eager to learn from her. They paired off, practicing the moves Y/N demonstrated. She moved among them, offering guidance and corrections, her encouragement lifting their spirits.
As the morning progressed, Y/N's keen eye caught every mistake and improvement. She paused occasionally to show a recruit how to refine their technique, her patience and expertise shining through. The recruits admired not only her beauty but also her dedication and skill.
During a brief break, Y/N's attention was drawn to the arrival of two familiar figures—Ashiru Mina and Hoshina Soshiro. Her sister, with her usual composed demeanor, nodded in approval as she observed the training. Hoshina, the Vice-Captain of the Third Division, stood beside Mina, his presence radiating authority.
Y/N's heart skipped a beat, and she felt a blush creeping up her cheeks. She respected Mina and Hoshina deeply, always striving to meet their expectations. But when it came to Hoshina, her feelings went beyond mere respect.
"Captain Ashiru, Vice-Captain Hoshina," Y/N greeted, snapping to attention. "It's an honor to have you here."
Mina nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "You're doing well, Y/N. Keep it up."
Hoshina stepped forward, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Impressive work, Y/N. Your recruits are lucky to have such a dedicated leader."
Y/N's blush deepened, and she stammered slightly. "T-thank you, Vice-Captain. I… I just want to do my best."
Hoshina chuckled, his gaze lingering on her. "And you certainly do. Keep up the good work."
The recruits, observing from a distance, exchanged curious glances.
Y/N quickly composed herself, turning back to her recruits. "Alright, break's over! Let's get back to training."
The recruits resumed their drills, but their attention occasionally flickered to Y/N and Hoshina. Mina, perceptive as always, noticed the recruits' interest and the way Hoshina's attention seemed to fluster her sister.
As the training session continued, Y/N found herself working even harder, driven by the desire to impress both her sister and Hoshina. Her commands were sharp, her demonstrations flawless. The recruits struggled to keep up, their admiration for her growing with each passing minute.
Finally, the session came to an end. The recruits were exhausted but exhilarated, their respect for Y/N solidified by her performance. Y/N gathered them one last time, offering words of encouragement and advice.
"Remember, training is only part of the battle," she said. "Your attitude and perseverance will determine your success. I'm proud of the effort you've shown today. Keep it up, and you'll do great things."
The recruits nodded, their spirits high despite their fatigue. They dispersed, leaving Y/N alone with Mina and Hoshina.
"You did well, Y/N," Mina said, her voice filled with sisterly pride. "I'm proud of you."
Y/N beamed, her heart swelling with happiness. "Thank you, Mina. That means a lot coming from you."
Hoshina stepped forward, his smile warm. "You have a natural talent for leadership, Y/N. Your recruits are lucky to have you."
Y/N's blush returned, and she struggled to maintain her composure. "Th-thank you, Vice-Captain. I just try to follow the example set by you and Mina."
Hoshina's gaze softened, and he reached out, gently touching the top of her head. "You're doing more than just following, Y/N. You're setting an example of your own."
Y/N's heart raced, and she could barely meet his eyes. "I… I'll keep working hard. Thank you, Vice-Captain."
--
The vehicle hummed steadily as it sped towards the site of the kaiju attack. Inside, the atmosphere was tense yet charged with anticipation. Ashiru Y/N stood at the front, her presence a beacon of energy and optimism for the new recruits. This was their first mission, and she intended to ensure they faced it with courage and determination.
"Alright, everyone!" Y/N called out, her voice bright and encouraging over the roar of the engine. "We've trained hard for this moment. Remember everything we've practiced. Stick together, watch each other's backs, and we’ll come out of this stronger. You’ve got this!"
The recruits responded with nods and murmurs of agreement, their faces a mixture of anxiety and resolve. They admired Y/N not only for her strength and skill but for her unwavering positivity, which had become a source of inspiration for them.
Hoshina Soshiro, seated near the back, watched Y/N with a fond smile. He appreciated her leadership style, her ability to uplift and motivate her team. As she finished her pep talk, he leaned forward slightly, catching her eye.
"You're so cute when you get into the leading role," he said, his voice low and teasing.
Her cheeks turned a deep shade of red, and she felt the warmth spreading to the tips of her ears. She stammered, trying to form a coherent response, but all that came out was a flustered, "Th-thank you, Vice-Captain."
The recruits exchanged amused glances, some chuckling softly at their leader's obvious crush on Hoshina. Y/N's embarrassment only deepened, but she quickly pulled herself together, determined to maintain her composure.
"Alright, everyone, focus!" she said, a touch more firmly. "We're almost there. Stay sharp and remember your training."
The vehicle soon screeched to a halt, and the doors burst open. The team quickly disembarked, the sounds of chaos and destruction filling the air. The cityscape before them was marred by the presence of kaiju, the monstrous creatures wreaking havoc. Smaller kaiju swarmed the streets, their shrieks echoing ominously, while a massive one loomed in the distance, engaging in a fierce battle with Mina Ashiru.
Y/N took a deep breath, drawing strength from the sight of her sister. Mina was a force of nature, her every move precise and powerful. Watching her in action filled Y/N with pride and a renewed sense of purpose.
"Form up!" Y/N commanded, her voice cutting through the din. "Focus on the smaller kaiju. Keep them contained and away from the civilians. Mina will handle the big one."
The recruits sprang into action, following Y/N's lead. They moved as a unit, their training evident in their coordinated attacks. Y/N herself was a blur of motion, her weapon slicing through the smaller kaiju with practiced ease. Each swing was calculated, each movement fluid and efficient.
Hoshina, nearby, couldn't help but admire her skill. He fought alongside her, occasionally offering guidance and support. Despite the seriousness of the situation, he found himself appreciating the way Y/N's determination shone through, her bubbly personality giving way to a fierce and focused warrior.
"Keep it up, team!" Y/N shouted, dispatching another kaiju. "We’re doing great!"
The recruits, inspired by her example, fought harder. Their initial nervousness faded, replaced by a growing confidence. They had trained under Y/N's watchful eye, and now they were proving themselves in battle.
Hoshina watched as Y/N took down another kaiju with a powerful strike. He couldn't resist offering another compliment, his tone both serious and admiring. "You're amazing out here, Y/N. Truly."
Y/N's heart skipped a beat at his words, but she managed to keep her focus. "Thank you, Vice-Captain. Just following your example."
The battle raged on, but the tide was turning in their favor. Y/N's leadership and the recruits' determination were making a difference. They pushed the smaller kaiju back, slowly but surely gaining the upper hand.
In the distance, Mina continued her battle with the massive kaiju. Her attacks were relentless, her movements a blur of deadly precision. She was a sight to behold, and Y/N felt a surge of pride every time she glanced her way.
"Almost there!" Y/N encouraged her team. "Just a little more, and we’ve got this!"
The battle against the kaiju raged on. Despite the initial success in containing the smaller kaiju, the situation remained tense. Y/N continued to lead her team with determination, dispatching kaiju with precision and maintaining her recruits' morale.
Suddenly, a crackle came through the radio on Y/N's belt. She paused momentarily to listen, the words sending a chill down her spine.
"Vice-Captain Hoshina is engaging Kaiju Number 8. Repeat, Vice-Captain Hoshina is engaging Kaiju Number 8."
Y/N's heart skipped a beat, worry flooding her senses. Kaiju Number 8 was notorious, one of the most formidable foes the Defense Force had encountered. The thought of Hoshina facing it alone filled her with dread.
But she couldn't afford to lose focus. Her team needed her. Taking a deep breath, Y/N pushed her worries aside, channeling her anxiety into determination.
"Stay sharp, everyone," she called out to her team. "We've got a job to do. Focus on the task at hand."
The recruits nodded, their resolve mirroring her own. They continued to fight, gradually clearing the area of the remaining kaiju. Y/N fought with renewed intensity, her movements swift and decisive, her mind a whirlwind of concern for Hoshina.
As the last of the smaller kaiju fell, Y/N allowed herself a moment to breathe. She wiped the sweat from her brow, her thoughts immediately turning to Hoshina. The area was secure, and her team was safe. Now, she needed to find him.
"Team, maintain your positions and secure the perimeter," Y/N instructed.
Without waiting for a response, she took off to find hoshina. Her heart pounded in her chest as she navigated the rubble and debris, her mind racing with scenarios of what she might find.
Finally, she spotted him. Hoshina was sitting cross-legged on a piece of broken concrete, his gaze distant as he appeared to be lost in thought.
Y/N felt a wave of relief crash over her, her eyes filling with tears. She rushed to him, her worry manifesting in a comically exaggerated display of emotion. "Soshiro Are you okay? I heard you were fighting Kaiju Number 8 and I got so worried!"
She reached him, practically skidding to a halt, her tears flowing freely. Her dramatic reaction made her look almost cartoonish in her distress, her hands flailing slightly as she tried to compose herself.
Hoshina looked up at her, his serious expression breaking into a warm, amused smile. He chuckled softly, his eyes filled with affection. "Hey, Y/N. I'm alright. I didn't really do anything, he ran away."
Y/N sniffled, wiping her tears with the back of her hand. "You had me so scared! Don't you ever do that again!"
Hoshina laughed, reaching out to gently pat her shoulder. "I can't promise that, princess. It's part of the job."
She nodded, her worry slowly giving way to relief and a hint of embarrassment at her over-the-top reaction. "I'm just glad you're okay. I… I was really scared."
Hoshina's smile softened, and he squeezed her shoulder reassuringly. "I know. And I'm grateful for your worry. But remember, we've got that dinner planned soon. I wouldn't miss it for anything."
Y/N's face lit up, her tears finally stopping as she let out a small laugh. "Right! Our dinner. I almost forgot."
Hoshina stood up, stretching slightly. "Come on, let's get back to the others. We've still got a job to finish."
Y/N nodded, feeling a renewed sense of strength. She fell into step beside him, her heart lighter now that she knew he was safe.
--
The dining hall was alive with laughter and conversation. Haruichi Izumo had outdone himself organizing the celebratory dinner, bringing together the officers and new recruits of the Defense Force. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie and joy, especially as they officially welcomed Kafka Hibino as an officer.
Y/N, seated next to Soshiro, was in high spirits. The drinks had been flowing freely, and she found herself getting a bit tipsy. Her usually bubbly personality was amplified, her laughter louder and her smiles wider.
"Cheers to Hibino Kafka!" Y/N exclaimed, raising her glass high. "To new beginnings and new heroes!"
The group echoed her toast, clinking their glasses together. Kafka blushed, looking both honored and slightly embarrassed by the attention. Everyone was enjoying the evening, their bonds growing stronger with each shared story and hearty laugh.
As the night wore on, Y/N’s flirtatious side began to emerge. She leaned closer to Hoshina, her cheeks flushed from the alcohol. "You know, Soshiro," she whispered loudly, her voice carrying over the din, "I love you. Like, really love you."
The new officers, seated nearby, exchanged surprised glances. They had seen Y/N’s exaggerated reactions around Hoshina before, but this was something else entirely.
Hoshina chuckled, his arm slipping around Y/N's shoulders. "I know, Y/N. I love you too."
Y/N grinned, wrapping both arms around him and resting her head on his shoulder. "You’re the best, you know that? The absolute best."
Okonogi, who had been watching the scene unfold with increasing amusement, decided to step in. She approached Hoshina, a playful smirk on her face. "Alright, Y/N, let’s not cause too much of a scene. We don’t want to make a bad impression on the new recruits."
Y/N clung to Hoshina, her grip tightening. "Nooo, I wanna stay with Soshiro!"
The new recruits stared, wide-eyed, at the unfolding drama. Hoshina gently patted Y/N's back, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Come on, Y/N. Let's get you home so you can rest."
Y/N looked up at him, her eyes sparkling mischievously. "Oh, so we're going home, huh? Are we going to have a long night, Soshiro?" Her tone was suggestive, causing several of the recruits to choke on their drinks.
Hoshina laughed, standing up and helping Y/N to her feet. "Excuse my girlfriend," he said, looking around the room with a grin. "She can never be near me after a couple of glasses."
The room fell silent for a moment as the new recruits processed his words.
"GIRLFRIEND?!"

Shattered Dreams pt.3
Pairing: Hoshina Soshiro x Reader
an: There you go, this is the final part, enjoy.
Summary: Y/N navigates a loveless marriage to Hoshina Soshiro
pt.2
Tumblr media
The cozy coffee shop was bustling with activity, the scent of freshly brewed coffee mingling with the sweet aroma of pastries. Y/N sat at a corner table, her baby daughter happily babbling in a high chair beside her. It had been a couple of months since she had met Gen Narumi, and in that time, their friendship had blossomed. They often met for coffee, sharing stories and finding solace in each other’s company.
Today, however, was different. Y/N’s heart was heavy with the weight of a decision she had been contemplating for some time. As she sipped her coffee, her eyes drifted to the door, watching for Gen’s arrival.
Moments later, he walked in, his presence immediately comforting. He smiled warmly as he approached, taking a seat across from her.
“Hey,” he greeted, his voice gentle. “How are you and the little one doing today?”
“We’re good,” Y/N replied, her smile genuine but tinged with a hint of sadness. “She’s been growing so fast.”
Gen glanced at the baby, who was playing with a soft toy, her eyes bright with curiosity. “She’s adorable,” he said, reaching out to gently touch her tiny hand. “You’re doing an amazing job with her, Y/N.”
“Thank you, Gen,” she said, her voice soft. “I needed to hear that.”
As they settled into their conversation, Y/N felt a sense of calm wash over her. Gen had a way of making her feel seen and understood, a stark contrast to the loneliness she often felt at home.
“Gen,” she began hesitantly, her fingers tracing the rim of her coffee cup. “There’s something I need to talk to you about.”
He looked at her, his expression attentive and concerned. “What is it, Y/N?”
She took a deep breath, her eyes meeting his. “I’ve been thinking about getting a divorce,” she said, her voice steady despite the turmoil in her heart. “I’ve been miserable for so long, and nothing has really changed between Soshiro and me. He’s never home, and when he is, it’s like we’re strangers living under the same roof.”
Gen’s eyes softened with understanding. “I’m so sorry you’re going through this, Y/N. You deserve so much better.”
“It’s not just about me,” she continued, her gaze drifting to her daughter. “It’s about her too. I don’t want her to grow up in an environment where there’s no love or affection. She deserves a happy home, and I can’t give that to her if I’m constantly unhappy.”
Gen reached across the table, taking her hand in his. “You’re incredibly brave for considering this,” he said gently. “It’s not an easy decision, but sometimes it’s the right one. Have you talked to Soshiro about how you feel?”
Y/N shook her head, her eyes filling with tears. “I’ve tried, but he never listens. He’s so consumed with his work, and he doesn’t see what’s happening right in front of him. He’s never even acknowledged my paintings or my success. It’s like I don’t exist to him outside of being his wife and the mother of his child.”
Gen squeezed her hand reassuringly. “Your work is incredible, Y/N. You’ve built something amazing, and you deserve to be recognized for that. If Soshiro can’t see it, that’s his loss.”
She had been so afraid of taking this step, of facing the unknown, but Gen’s unwavering support gave her strength. She glanced at her daughter, who was now dozing peacefully in her high chair, and felt a renewed determination.
“I want to be happy, Gen,” she said, her voice firm. “I want to build a life where I can be myself, where my daughter can see what it means to be strong and independent. I can’t do that if I stay in this marriage.”
Gen nodded, his eyes filled with admiration. “You’re one of the strongest people I know, Y/N. Whatever you decide, I’ll be here to support you.”
“Thank you,” she whispered, her heart swelling with gratitude. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
As they finished their coffee and prepared to leave, Y/N felt a sense of hope for the first time in a long while. The path ahead was uncertain, but she knew she was not alone. Gen’s friendship and support were a lifeline, guiding her through the darkness and toward a brighter future.
Outside the coffee shop, the sun was shining brightly, a reflection of the new possibilities that lay ahead. Y/N took a deep breath, the fresh air filling her lungs and invigorating her spirit.
“Let’s walk for a bit,” Gen suggested, offering his arm. “It’s a beautiful day.”
Y/N smiled, accepting his arm as they strolled down the street. Her daughter gurgled happily, the warmth of the sun and the love of her mother enveloping her.
As they walked through the park, Y/N and Gen continued to talk about her plans and dreams. Her daughter, now awake, was fascinated by the trees and flowers, reaching out to touch the petals as they passed by.
“I’ve been thinking about moving,” Y/N said, her voice thoughtful. “Somewhere with more space for my studio and where my daughter can grow up surrounded by nature.”
“That sounds wonderful,” Gen replied, his eyes brightening at the thought. “A fresh start could be exactly what you need. Have you found any places yet?”
“A few,” Y/N admitted, smiling. “I’ve been looking at some houses in the countryside. It’s peaceful there, and I think it would be good for both of us.”
Gen nodded, his expression encouraging. “It sounds perfect. I’m sure you’ll find the right place soon. And remember, I’m always here to help if you need anything.”
“Thank you, Gen,” she said, her voice filled with gratitude. “Your support means the world to me. I'm going to his office later, I doubt that he will give me the time of day but maybe he will listen.”
They continued their walk, enjoying the tranquility of the park. Y/N felt a sense of liberation, a newfound freedom that came with the realization that she was in control of her own destiny. With Gen’s friendship and the love for her daughter as her guiding lights, she was ready to embrace the future and all the possibilities it held.
--
The sun was beginning to set as Y/N arrived at the Defense Force base with her baby daughter in tow. Determined to speak to Soshiro face-to-face, she navigated through the bustling corridors, occasionally stopping to ask about his whereabouts. Each person she spoke to mentioned that he was busy, but she persisted, unwilling to leave until she had confronted him.
Eventually, she reached his office. With a sigh of relief, Y/N pushed open the door and stepped inside. The room was neat and organized, a reflection of Soshiro’s meticulous nature. Her daughter was sleeping peacefully in her stroller, and Y/N decided to explore the office while waiting for him.
As she looked around, her eyes fell upon Soshiro’s desk. Among the papers and files, she noticed a framed photograph of herself and their daughter. It was a candid moment captured during a family outing, their smiles bright and genuine. Seeing the picture brought a pang of mixed emotions – nostalgia for happier times mingled with sadness over their current situation.
Curiosity getting the better of her, Y/N began to sift through the papers on his desk. That was when she stumbled upon a drawer that contained several photographs, neatly arranged and carefully preserved. Her heart skipped a beat as she recognized the face in the pictures – Makoto.
In the photographs, Soshiro and Makoto were captured in moments of laughter and camaraderie, their bond evident in the easy smiles and shared experiences frozen in time. Y/N’s hands trembled as she picked up one of the pictures, her eyes fixed on the two men who had played such pivotal roles in her life.
Suddenly, the sound of the door opening behind her startled Y/N. She turned quickly to see Soshiro entering the office, his expression a mix of surprise and apprehension. His eyes widened as he noticed her standing by his desk, the photographs in her hand.
“Y/N,” he said, his voice cautious. “What are you doing here?”
She hesitated for a moment, her mind racing with conflicting emotions. “I... I was looking for you,” she finally managed to say, her voice barely above a whisper.
Soshiro stepped closer, his gaze flickering between her and the photographs. “What have you found?” he asked quietly, his tone tinged with sadness.
Y/N looked down at the picture in her hand, her heart aching with unanswered questions. “How... how did you know Makoto?” she asked, her voice trembling.
For a long moment, Soshiro remained silent, his eyes fixed on the photographs. Finally, he spoke, his voice raw with emotion. “He was... he was my best friend,” he admitted, his words heavy with unspoken grief. “We grew up together, trained together... fought together.”
Y/N’s breath caught in her throat. “Did he ever...mentioned something of me?” she asked, her voice barely a whisper.
Soshiro turned to face her fully, his expression pained. “I always knew.” he confessed quietly. “From the moment your named was mentioned by my father I already knew. Makoto woudn't stop mentioning you.”
Tears welled up in Y/N’s eyes as the weight of his words sank in.
"He died protecting me and now I'm living his life. Did you know that?" His breath began to be more difficult as each word came out of his mouth "He was suppose to be the Vice-Captain, he was stronger, wiser, he was suppose to marry you, our daughter was suppose to be his. I couldn't do anything and gained everything he desired and worked for... He told me to protect you, did you know that? I've never met you before our wedding but somehow he wanted me to do something he was supposed to do. Everytime I look at you I remmember that this life belongs to someone else who deserved it, someone who deserved you, you never knew me but treated me as if you wanted me with you, how could I be a husband you don't belong to me."
Y/N got up from his chair looking at him, crying, from his memories, from his feelings, because she knew now, that he always was aware that she fantasized about Makoto being in his place.
"How come you never told anything, we could have worked it out, we could have helped each other soshiro, do you know how much I've suffering from having a husband who wouldn't even look my way?"
"How could I? Would you play pretend when you knew you stolen someone elses life? He died and I got everything he wanted, he died protecting me and got the love of his life as a wife, carrying my child, at the alter with me, not him. I know, I know I've been a complete asshole, but how come I do all that I get you to be all nice to me, doing everything for me, treating me with respect, when it was I who took your happiness Y/N? answer me." Soshiro let it all out, tears running down his face, his voice breaking, his actions putting the weight on his back, the emotions now being exposed.
Y/N didn't know what to do anymore, she came here knowing the solution for her problems, getting away, living free, and now, in a matter of minutes. Soshiro was now the last thing Makoto left her.
She hugged him, she didn't know why really. "He was the smartest man I've ever meet, I know that, if he asked you something he knew you were capable of it, it was either you or him who would die that day, and I know very well he didn't even give you time of reaction, he would always put other in front of him, it was the only thing I hated about him, it was what took him...but you're here, you didn't stole him, he gave it to you because he knew that you were the only person who could do things the same way as he would've."
He rested his hand on her head, looking at her. "I bought the painting."
Y/N confused, now looking up at him, she asked "What painting?"
"The one you made for him."
--
The soft glow of evening settled over Y/N and Soshiro's home, casting long shadows that danced across the walls. It had been a day of unexpected revelations and tentative steps toward healing. Y/N stood in the living room, her gaze fixed on a painting that now adorned their wall. It was the painting she had made for Makoto, a piece that had found its way to the gallery and been purchased by an anonymous buyer.
She turned to Soshiro, who stood nearby, his expression unreadable. "How… how did you know about my paintings being at the gallery?" she asked, her voice tinged with curiosity and a hint of disbelief.
Soshiro hesitated for a moment, his eyes meeting hers with a mixture of guilt and resolve. "Narumi," he finally admitted. "He came to me one day, teasing me about having met my wife and how beautiful you were, joking that he might steal you away. He's an idiot, but I know he has been a great friend to you."
Y/N's eyes widened in surprise. "Gen told you about me?" she asked, her mind racing with questions.
Soshiro nodded, a faint smile touching his lips. "He told me how he had met you at the gallery, and how you had shared stories about your past and your paintings," he explained, his voice softening with each word. "He also warned me, Y/N. He said that I would lose you if I didn't make an effort to understand and cherish what we have."
-flashback-
Soshiro stood outside the gallery, the soft glow of streetlights casting long shadows across the pavement. He had come here at Narumi's insistence, curious and somewhat apprehensive about what he might discover. Inside, the gallery buzzed with activity, the soft murmur of voices and the occasional clink of glasses creating a backdrop to the vibrant display of art.
Narumi found him near a display of Y/N's paintings, a knowing smile on his face as he approached. "Soshiro," he greeted, his voice laced with amusement. "I see you've finally made it."
Soshiro regarded him warily. "What are you doing here, Narumi?" he asked, his tone guarded.
Narumi chuckled softly. "I came to see the paintings, of course," he replied, gesturing toward the artwork on the walls. "And to learn more about the talented woman who captured my attention."
Soshiro frowned, a pang of unease settling in his chest. "What do you mean?"
Narumi turned to him, his expression serious. "I mean your wife, Soshiro," he said quietly. "She's remarkable. Her paintings… they speak to something deeper, something that resonates with anyone who takes the time to look."
Soshiro's gaze softened, a flicker of pride mingling with uncertainty. "I know she's talented," he admitted quietly. "But I haven't been… I haven't been the husband she deserves. I've been doing nothing but make her hate me, however, I wish she would, her heart is too big for her own good."
Narumi regarded him thoughtfully. "No, you haven't," he agreed, his tone gentle but firm. "But it's not too late, Soshiro. You can still show her how much she means to you."
-present time-
Y/N listened intently as Soshiro recounted his conversation with Narumi, her heart swelling with a mix of emotions. She had never expected Narumi to play such a pivotal role in their lives, to be the catalyst for a conversation that had brought them closer together.
"Why did you buy the painting?" she asked softly, her eyes lingering on the artwork that now graced their home.
Soshiro took a deep breath, his gaze never leaving hers. "Because I knew it was for Makoto," he confessed quietly. "Narumi told me about your conversations, about your love for him and the pain of losing him. I wanted… I wanted to show you that I understand, Y/N. That I want to honor your memories, Makoto was also everything to me in a way."
Y/N felt tears prickle at the corners of her eyes, overwhelmed by the depth of Soshiro's words. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "Thank you for understanding."
Soshiro stepped closer to her, reaching out to gently wipe away her tears. "And I'm sorry for never telling you. For never explaining, I... I don't deserve to have you both, specially our babygirl, I've neglecting my own child because I didn't want to move on."
She nodded" It's not ok, no. But you will make it up for it, just don't make me regret giving you this opportunity, I came to the office to go away from you. My daughter is not growing up to the same enviroment as I did."
--
The gentle afternoon sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow in Y/N and Soshiro's living room. Their daughter, now a lively toddler, giggled and toddled around the room, chasing after a colorful toy. Y/N watched her with a tender smile, her heart full of love for the little girl who had brought so much joy into their lives.
Soshiro sat beside Y/N on the couch, his eyes fixed on their daughter with a mixture of pride and affection. They had come a long way since the tumultuous days that had tested their marriage. Now, they found solace in these quiet moments together as a family.
Y/N turned to Soshiro, her gaze searching yet hesitant. "Soshiro," she began softly, "do you think it's possible… for you to see me as beautiful? To fall in love with me?"
Soshiro's brow furrowed slightly, his expression thoughtful. "Y/N," he replied earnestly, "I've always thought you were beautiful. From the moment I first saw you, I was struck by your strength, your kindness, and your unwavering determination."
Y/N's heart skipped a beat at his words, a flicker of hope stirring within her. "Then why…" she started, her voice trembling slightly, "why couldn't you treat me right? Why did you push me away?"
Soshiro sighed heavily, his shoulders slumping with the weight of his confession. "It was never about you, Y/N," he admitted quietly. "Makoto was… he was like a brother to me. When he died, I couldn't bear the thought of taking his place in your heart. Of treating you as mine."
Tears welled up in Y/N's eyes as she listened to him speak, her heart aching with the pain of their shared history. "Is that why…" she hesitated, gathering her courage, "is that why you named our daughter that name?"
Soshiro looked at her, his gaze filled with regret. "Yes," he confessed softly. "I thought… I thought you would appreciate the gesture, even if at the time you thought I chose the name randomly."
Y/N nodded slowly, absorbing his words. "I see," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't how I never suspected…"
Silence settled between them, punctuated only by the sound of their daughter's laughter as she played nearby. Y/N felt a mix of emotions swirling within her – sadness for the loss they had both endured, but also a glimmer of understanding and forgiveness.
"Soshiro," Y/N said softly, breaking the silence, "I… I want to believe that we can move forward from this. That we can build something real between us."
Soshiro reached out and took her hand in his, his touch warm and reassuring. "I want that too, Y/N," he replied earnestly, kissing her hand.
She looked into his eyes, seeing the sincerity and vulnerability that he rarely showed. "Can you try?" she asked, her voice tinged with hope. "Can you try to see me, to really see me, and cherish me?"
A small smile tugged at the corners of Soshiro's lips. "I'll do it." he admitted quietly. "And I think… I think I'm already falling in love with you, Y/N. You've not been invisible to me, the way you treated me, how proud you were of me... a man is easily defeated by a woman like you."
Tears spilled over Y/N's cheeks, this time tears of relief and joy. She leaned into him, resting her head against his shoulder as he wrapped his arms around her. In that embrace, they found a fragile yet precious moment of peace – a promise of a future filled with love, understanding, and the courage to heal old wounds.
Their daughter toddled over to them, reaching up with chubby hands to be lifted into her father's arms. Soshiro lifted her effortlessly, pressing a kiss to her forehead as she giggled in delight.
"You'll be as beautifull and talented as your mother, one day, hopefully, you'll get to follow my steps and take Ahiru's place as my Captain, Makoto."

Shattered Dreams
Pairing: Hoshina Soshiro x Reader
tw: abusive behaviour, angst, pregnancy
Summary: Y/N navigates a loveless marriage to Hoshina Soshiro
pt.2
--
Tumblr media
The morning sun cast a warm, golden glow across the room, but it did little to dispel the cold atmosphere within. Y/N stood by the window, her eyes focused on the horizon, though her thoughts were miles away. Her hands absentmindedly caressed her growing belly, a reminder of the life growing inside her, a product of a union devoid of warmth.
She had dreamed of being a painter, of bringing colors to life on a canvas, but those dreams were tucked away like the paintbrushes and canvases she kept hidden in the small corner of their home. Her parents had been ruthless in their determination to see her married into a powerful clan, and so, her fate had been sealed with Soshiro Hoshina, the Vice-Captain of the Defense Force's Third Division.
Their marriage was an arrangement, a strategic alliance between families, devoid of love or affection. Soshiro was often away, his duties calling him to fight kaiju, the monstrous threats to humanity. When he was home, their interactions were minimal, their conversations cold and formal.
One evening, as Y/N was finishing a small painting, the door creaked open. Soshiro walked in, his uniform stained with the grime and blood of battle. He looked at her, his expression unreadable.
"You're painting again," he remarked, his tone flat. It wasn't a question, merely an observation.
Y/N nodded, trying to find her voice. "It helps me pass the time."
Soshiro walked past her, his eyes scanning the room with a detached indifference. "I wish you wouldn't waste your time on such frivolities."
Her heart sank at his words, but she kept her composure. "It brings me some peace."
He turned to face her, his eyes cold and unyielding. "Peace? In a world like ours, peace is a luxury we can't afford."
Y/N swallowed hard, the weight of his words pressing down on her. "I know, but it's all I have."
Soshiro's expression hardened, his voice dropping to a low, harsh whisper. "I wish I could get out of this situation. This marriage is unbearable."
The words cut through her like a knife, and for a moment, she felt as if the room was spinning. She had known their marriage was not built on love, but hearing him say it so bluntly, so cruelly, was more than she could bear.
She looked down, blinking back tears. "I... I understand."
Soshiro sighed, his frustration evident. "Do you? Do you really? I am bound by duty, by obligation, and this—" he gestured around the room, "—this is a prison."
Y/N felt a sob rise in her throat, but she choked it back, refusing to let him see her break. "I've tried to make the best of it. I've tried to be a good wife to you."
He laughed, a bitter, hollow sound. "A good wife? You're just another chain, another burden I have to bear."
She looked at him then, her eyes filled with a mixture of pain and defiance. "And what about our child? Is that just another burden to you?"
For a moment, something flickered in his eyes, a hint of regret, perhaps, but it was quickly extinguished. "I didn't ask for this. Any of it."
Y/N felt the tears spill over, and she turned away, unable to look at him any longer. "I know you didn't. But this is our reality now. Whether you like it or not."
Soshiro said nothing more, and after a few moments, he left the room, the door closing with a soft click behind him. Y/N stood there, her heart shattered, the weight of his words crushing her spirit.
She walked over to her painting, staring at the vibrant colors she had once found solace in. Now, they seemed dull and lifeless, a stark contrast to the dark void that had settled in her heart. She placed a hand on her belly, a silent promise to the child within her.
"I'll be strong for you," she whispered. "Even if he can't love us, I'll find a way to give you the love you deserve."
As the sun set, casting long shadows across the room, Y/N realized that her dreams of being a painter, of finding happiness, were just that—dreams. Her reality was a loveless marriage, a life of duty and sacrifice. And in that moment, she vowed to find a way to survive, for her child's sake, if not for her own.
But deep down, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was as much a prisoner as Soshiro, trapped in a cage built by obligations and unfulfilled dreams.
--flashback--
The memory of their wedding day came flooding back, unbidden. The grand hall had been filled with guests, a sea of faces all watching her, judging her. Y/N had worn a traditional kimono, its intricate patterns and vibrant colors a stark contrast to the cold, emotionless ceremony.
Her parents had stood beside her, their expressions stern and unyielding. There was no joy in their eyes, only the satisfaction of a deal well-brokered. Soshiro had been there too, his face a mask of indifference. He had looked through her rather than at her, as if she were an obligation rather than a person.
"Remember your duty," her father had whispered harshly in her ear as he led her down the aisle. "You must uphold the family honor."
She had nodded, her heart heavy with resignation. This was her life now, a life chosen for her, not by her.
--
As the days turned into weeks, Y/N found herself growing increasingly lonely. Soshiro's coldness was a constant presence, a wall she could not breach. She spent her days painting in solitude, each stroke of the brush a small act of defiance against the life she was forced to lead.
One evening, she gathered her courage and approached him as he sat at the dining table, reading reports from the Defense Force. The room was dimly lit, the shadows playing across his stern features.
"Soshiro," she began hesitantly, "I was thinking... maybe we could try to talk more. Get to know each other better."
He looked up from his papers, his eyes cold and distant. "There's nothing to talk about."
"But we're married," she insisted, her voice trembling. "We have a child on the way. Shouldn't we at least try to understand each other?"
Soshiro's expression hardened, his voice sharp. "Understand? There's nothing to understand. You were forced into this marriage just as I was. We are bound by duty, not choice."
Y/N felt a lump form in her throat, but she pressed on. "I know it wasn't our choice, but can't we make the best of it? For the sake of our child?"
He stood abruptly, the chair scraping loudly against the floor. "I'm doing my duty. That's all that matters. This... relationship," he spat the word, "is nothing more than a facade."
Tears welled up in her eyes, but she refused to let them fall. "I don't want to be just a facade. I want to be a family."
Soshiro's eyes flashed with anger. "You want? What about what I want? Did anyone ever ask me if I wanted this?"
Y/N recoiled as if struck. "No one asked me either."
He took a step towards her, his presence imposing. "Then you should understand. This is a prison for both of us."
She stared at him, her heart breaking anew. "But it doesn't have to be."
He shook his head, turning away from her. "Yes, it does. Accept it, Y/N. This is our reality."
With that, he left the room, leaving her standing there, her hopes shattered. She sank to the floor, the sobs she had been holding back finally breaking free. The walls of their home, once a place she had hoped would be filled with love and warmth, now felt like the cold, unyielding bars of a prison.
--
Y/N sat in the corner of their modest home, her brush gently sweeping across the canvas. The soft strokes of paint were like whispers, echoing her unspoken thoughts. Her fingers traced the curves of a landscape, every stroke a memory of a love lost and a life forsaken.
"My dear," she murmured softly, her voice barely above a whisper, "this painting… it's a piece of my heart. Just like you."
She paused, her hand resting on her swollen belly, feeling the gentle movements within. The baby kicked gently, as if in response to her words. Y/N smiled faintly, a bittersweet expression crossing her face.
"You know," she continued, her voice tinged with sadness, "there was someone before your father. Someone who made me feel… alive."
Her mind drifted back to a time before the arranged marriage, before duty overshadowed desire. She remembered a young officer in the Defense Force, his smile warm and his eyes full of kindness. They had shared stolen moments of happiness, their love blossoming amidst the chaos of kaiju attacks and endless battles.
"He was an officer," she whispered, her voice catching with emotion. "Brave and kind. He made me feel loved, truly loved."
Tears welled up in her eyes as she recalled the day he had died, sacrificing himself to protect others from a rampaging kaiju. The pain of loss still lingered, a wound that had never fully healed.
"I wished…" Y/N's voice trembled as she spoke to her unborn child, "I wished it could have been him. That I could have married him instead."
She paused, wiping away a tear with the back of her hand. The painting before her was a testament to her longing, a silent tribute to a love that had been torn away too soon.
"But life doesn't always give us what we want," she whispered sadly. "Sometimes we have to accept what we're given and find our own strength."
As she painted, the colors blended together in a kaleidoscope of emotions. Each brushstroke was a testament to resilience, to the quiet determination to create beauty from pain.
"You," she said softly, placing a hand on her belly again, "you are my hope. My reason to keep going, even when the world feels cold and lonely."
The baby stirred within her, as if sensing her love and sorrow. Y/N smiled through her tears, her heart heavy yet somehow lighter for having spoken her truth.
"We'll make our own happiness, won't we?" she whispered, her voice filled with quiet determination. "Together, we'll find a way to make our own path, away from duty and expectations."
With a final stroke of her brush, Y/N completed the painting. It was a masterpiece of longing and loss, a testament to a love that had been and a love that was yet to come.
As she gazed at the finished canvas, she knew that her journey was far from over. But with her unborn child nestled safely within her, she found a renewed sense of purpose and a flicker of hope that maybe, just maybe, there was still a chance for happiness in the midst of duty and sacrifice.
The memory of her lost love lingered like a soft breeze in the corner of her mind. He had been an officer in the Defense Force, dedicated to protecting humanity from the relentless kaiju assaults. His name was never spoken aloud anymore, but in the quiet moments of solitude, Y/N allowed herself to remember.
"He was everything to me your father is not," she whispered to her unborn child, her voice a mix of reverence and sadness. "He was kind, gentle… he made me feel cherished."
She recalled their stolen moments together, stolen from the chaos of battle and the pressures of duty. Their love had been a secret, a fragile oasis in a desert of obligations.
"He understood my dreams," Y/N continued softly, her eyes distant as she painted. "He encouraged me to paint, to pursue what made my heart sing."
But fate had been cruel. In the heat of battle, he had sacrificed himself to save others, a hero's death that left Y/N shattered and alone.
"I never got to tell him," she murmured, tears glistening on her cheeks. "I never got to tell him how much I loved him."
The painting before her captured the essence of their love—a tranquil landscape bathed in warm hues, a reflection of the peace they had briefly found together.
Y/N set down her brush, her fingers lingering on the canvas. The room was quiet, save for the soft rustling of paper and the gentle rhythm of her own breathing. She glanced at the painting, feeling a sense of peace settle over her weary heart.
"And your father," she said softly, her thoughts turning to Soshiro Hoshina, Vice-Captain of the Defense Force's Third Division. "He's not like him. But he… he has his own strengths."
Y/N's gaze softened as she thought of Soshiro, proud of his position and the dedication he showed to his duty. Despite their strained relationship, she admired his commitment and the way he commanded respect among his peers.
"I wish he would make an effort," she admitted quietly to her unborn child, "to see beyond duty and obligation."
There were moments, fleeting glimpses, where she saw glimpses of kindness in Soshiro's eyes, moments that stirred a fragile hope within her. She longed for him to understand, to bridge the distance that separated them.
"He could be a good father," Y/N murmured, her voice tinged with longing. "If only he would try."
With a sigh, she placed a hand on her belly again, feeling the baby's reassuring movements. In that tiny life, she found solace and strength—a reason to hope for a future where love and happiness could coexist with duty and sacrifice.
As the sun began to set outside, casting long shadows across the room, Y/N vowed to cherish the memories of her lost love while nurturing the possibility of a new beginning with Soshiro and their unborn child. She knew the road ahead would be challenging, but she was determined to find a way to make peace with the past and embrace the future that awaited them all.
In the quiet of their home, amidst the whispers of her heart and the promise of tomorrow, Y/N found a sense of resilience and hope that would carry her through the trials yet to come.
"I think one day, he'll come around, he's a great man, but we are stuck to a evil situation, I'll keep pursuing him maybe with the right timing, he'll see i'm worth his heart."
--
Y/N stood before the mirror in the bedroom, her reflection framed by soft morning light filtering through the window. She smoothed down the fabric of the floral dress she had chosen carefully, a hint of makeup highlighting her features. Today, she had decided, would be different. Today, she would make an effort.
With a determined breath, she adjusted a stray lock of hair and nodded to herself. Maybe, just maybe, today Soshiro would notice her efforts. She clung to that hope like a lifeline as she gathered a lunchbox filled with his favorite foods and headed out.
-At the Defense Force Headquarters-
The Defense Force Headquarters bustled with activity as Y/N navigated the corridors, the lunchbox cradled carefully in her hands. She had never been to the headquarters before, but she was determined to surprise Soshiro and show him that she cared.
She found her way to the Third Division's office, heart fluttering with nerves. The door was open, revealing a team of officers engrossed in their duties. Soshiro stood at the front, his commanding presence unmistakable. Y/N's pulse quickened as she approached, a nervous smile playing on her lips.
"Soshiro," she greeted softly, trying to catch his attention.
He looked up briefly, his expression guarded. "Y/N? What are you doing here?"
Her smile faltered for a moment, but she pressed on. "I… I brought you lunch. I thought we could have lunch together."
Soshiro glanced around at his team, a flicker of discomfort crossing his face. "You shouldn't have come here," he murmured, his voice barely concealing his annoyance.
Y/N felt a flush of embarrassment creep up her cheeks, but she pushed it aside. "I just wanted to do something nice for you," she insisted, holding out the lunchbox.
He hesitated for a moment before reluctantly accepting it. "Thank you," he said curtly, his gaze flickering over her outfit and makeup "Why are you wearing that? And are you wearing make up?"
She smiled, she did something right. "Yes, do you like it ? I thought that it would look nice."
"You're too big for that right now, wear something appropiate for God sake." ...oh
Some of his teammates exchanged glances, the awkward tension dancing in their eyes. Y/N fought to keep her composure, her cheeks burning with humiliation.
"Always putting on a show." Soshiro remarked casually to his team, his tone dismissive.
Laughter erupted from the group, the sound echoing in the small office. Y/N's heart sank as she fought back tears, her hands trembling, also laughing, as if she didn't recognize the mocking.
"I... I also made a cake for everyone, I hope everyone likes chocolate, you guys work really hard, so I decided to give you something since I was already planning on coming here." She tried, she really did, she just put it down and pretended to be as happy as she could fake.
"I… I'll leave you to it," she managed to say, her voice barely above a whisper. Without waiting for a response, she turned and hurried out of the office, the sound of laughter following her down the corridor.
--
Outside, Y/N found a secluded spot in the courtyard, hidden away from prying eyes. She sank to the ground, clutching her knees to her chest, tears streaming down her cheeks. The lunchbox lay forgotten beside her, the food suddenly tasteless.
"Why do I even bother?" she whispered to herself, her voice thick with despair. "No matter what I do, it's never enough."
She had tried so hard to make Soshiro notice her, to earn his affection and respect. She had dressed up, put on makeup, gone out of her way to show him how much she cared. And yet, it had all been for nothing.
"He doesn't care," she sobbed, the weight of rejection crushing her spirit. "He'll never care."
The courtyard was silent around her, the air heavy with the weight of her disappointment. She wiped away her tears with trembling hands, trying to regain her composure.
"He's right," she muttered bitterly to herself. "I do try too hard. I should have known better."
But deep down, beneath the pain and humiliation, a small voice whispered defiantly. She deserved to be loved. She deserved to be seen, not as a burden or an obligation, but as a person worthy of affection.
--
Days turned into weeks, and Y/N found herself retreating further into the confines of her room. The once vibrant woman, filled with dreams of painting and love, now felt like a shadow of herself. Pregnancy had brought changes to her body—subtle at first, but increasingly noticeable to her critical eyes. She avoided mirrors, unable to face the reflection that stared back at her with insecurities and doubts.
Her maids bustled about the house, attending to chores she once took pride in doing herself. Y/N had withdrawn from everything that brought her joy. The easel stood untouched in the corner, the canvas blank and waiting for strokes that never came. Meals went half-eaten as she tried to compensate for the weight she felt she had gained.
"I'm not pretty enough," she whispered to herself, fingers tracing the curve of her belly where their unborn child nestled. "Not worth it enough."
She stayed in a separate room from Soshiro, their marriage now a chasm of unspoken words and unmet expectations. The sound of his footsteps in the hallway made her heart race with a mix of hope and fear. She longed for him to notice her absence, to care enough to reach out, but each day passed in silence.
--
Soshiro returned from a long day at the Defense Force headquarters, his thoughts troubled. He had noticed Y/N's absence at meals, her retreating presence a stark contrast to the woman he had married—a woman he barely knew. His duties had consumed him, but now a gnawing worry clawed at his conscience.
"Soshiro," his second-in-command called as he entered their shared living space. "Have you seen Y/N? She hasn't been around."
He paused, his brow furrowing. "She's probably in her room," he replied nonchalantly, though his heart tightened with concern.
"She hasn't been seen all day," his second-in-command pressed, his voice tinged with worry.
Soshiro's footsteps quickened as he made his way to Y/N's room. The door was ajar, a sliver of light spilling into the dim hallway. He pushed it open gently, his eyes searching the room.
Y/N sat on the edge of the bed, her gaze fixed on the floor. She looked fragile, her shoulders slumped and her expression distant. The room felt suffocating with unspoken tension.
"Y/N," Soshiro began tentatively, his voice breaking the heavy silence.
She looked up, her eyes meeting his briefly before flickering away. "What do you want, Soshiro?" Her voice was hollow, devoid of its usual warmth.
"I've been worried," he admitted softly, stepping closer. "You haven't been yourself lately."
A bitter laugh escaped her lips, tinged with self-derision. "My apologies for inconveniencing you," she replied, her tone laced with bitterness.
Soshiro frowned, kneeling in front of her. "Y/N, talk to me. Tell me what's wrong."
She shook her head, strands of hair falling around her face. "It doesn't matter," she whispered, her voice trembling. "I'm just… not good enough, am I?"
He reached out to touch her hand, but she flinched away. "That's not true," he insisted, his voice firm. "You are more than enough."
Y/N laughed again, a bitter sound that echoed in the quiet room. "Do you know what it's like, Soshiro? To feel invisible in your own life? To try so hard, only to realize it's never going to be enough?"
He hesitated, at a loss for words. Guilt gnawed at him—the guilt of neglect, of failing to see the pain she carried beneath a facade of duty.
"I'm sorry," he said finally, his voice barely a whisper. "I didn't realize…"
"You didn't realize," she echoed, tears welling in her eyes. "You didn't even notice."
Silence enveloped them once more, broken only by the faint sound of her stifled sobs. Y/N wiped away her tears with shaking hands, her resolve hardening with each passing moment.
"I'll make it easy for you, Soshiro," she said quietly, her voice steady despite the turmoil within. "I'll be the perfect obedient wife. I'll fulfill my duty and nothing more."
"No," he protested, reaching for her hand again, but she pulled away.
"It's better this way," she insisted, her tone final. "You won't have to worry about me anymore."
With that, she rose from the bed, leaving him sitting there, his heart heavy with regret and a sense of loss he couldn't fully comprehend. She walked past him, her steps measured and purposeful, as if steeling herself against the pain.
Soshiro watched her go, a knot tightening in his chest. He wanted to chase after her, to hold her and tell her that she was wrong—that she was loved and cherished. But he remained rooted to the spot, paralyzed by his own inadequacies and the weight of their fractured relationship.
--
Alone in her room once more, Y/N sank to the floor, her back against the cold wall. Tears streamed down her cheeks unchecked now, the weight of her despair crushing her spirit.
"I tried," she whispered to the empty room, her voice breaking. "I tried so hard."
Her hand rested on her belly, feeling the gentle kicks of their unborn child. "I'm sorry," she murmured, her voice choked with emotion. "I'm so sorry."
In the darkness of her room, surrounded by the echoes of shattered dreams and unspoken words, Y/N allowed herself to grieve. She grieved for the love she had lost, for the hope that had faded, and for the woman she had once been.
But amidst the darkness, a tiny spark of determination flickered—a resolve to survive, for her sake and for the child growing within her. She didn't know what the future held, but she vowed to find a way forward, even if it meant burying her own desires and dreams beneath a facade of duty and obedience.

Kaiju n8 : The secret of Hoshina pt.2
pairing: hoshina soshiro x reader
summary: The beggining of the story between Y/N and Hoshina
an: pls be free to warn me about any mistakes in my writing
previous chapter
Years before Mina Ashiro assumed command of the Third Division, the unit thrived under the leadership of Captain Y/N. Known for her tactical brilliance and compassionate leadership, she was a beacon of hope and resilience for her team. Vice-Captain Hoshina Soshiro, a master swordsman and strategic genius, was her right-hand man, his loyalty to Y/N evident in every mission they undertook together.
Their relationship began strictly professional. Y/N admired Hoshina's dedication and his ability to remain calm under pressure, while Hoshina respected her leadership and the way she inspired everyone around her. As they worked together, their bond deepened, forged in the crucible of countless battles and shared hardships.
It was during a particularly harrowing battle with a massive kaiju that their feelings for each other began to surface. The kaiju had attacked a civilian area, and the Third Division was dispatched to neutralize the threat. Y/N and Hoshina led the charge, coordinating their team with precision and bravery. In the heat of battle, they moved in perfect sync, their trust in each other unwavering.
As the battle raged on, Y/N found herself in a precarious situation, surrounded by debris and with the kaiju bearing down on her. Hoshina, sensing her peril, fought his way to her side, his sword slicing through the enemy with lethal efficiency. Together, they managed to bring down the kaiju, but not without sustaining injuries.
In the aftermath, as they caught their breath amidst the ruins, their eyes met. For the first time, they allowed themselves to acknowledge the deeper connection that had been growing between them.
"Soshiro," Y/N said, her voice barely above a whisper, "I don't know what I would have done without you."
Hoshina stepped closer, his usually stoic expression softening. "You never have to find out. I'll always be here for you."
Their relationship blossomed in secret, hidden from the rest of the Division to protect their positions and avoid any potential distractions. They cherished their stolen moments together, finding solace in each other's arms amidst the chaos of their duties.
Months later, Y/N discovered she was pregnant. The news brought a wave of joy and hope for both of them. They began making plans for a future beyond the battlefield, dreaming of a life where they could raise their child in peace, where they eventually organized a very secretive wedding to celebrate their love and become official in the eye of heaven itself, hoping to be blessed with happiness and the health of their baby.
One evening, after a long day of training, they sat together in their secret haven, a small, secluded part of the base garden that few knew about. The stars were bright above them, and the air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers.
"Soshiro," Y/N said, leaning against him, "I've been thinking about names."
Hoshina smiled, wrapping an arm around her. "Oh? Do you have any favorites?"
She nodded, a soft smile playing on her lips. "If it's a boy, I was thinking of Kaito. And if it's a girl, maybe Aiko."
"Kaito and Aiko," Hoshina repeated, the names rolling off his tongue with warmth. "I love them."
Their happiness, however, was short-lived. During a routine patrol, a new and unusually aggressive kaiju attacked. The battle was fierce, and despite their best efforts, Y/N was gravely injured. In the chaos, she lost their baby, a devastating blow that left her physically and emotionally shattered.
Realizing she could no longer continue in her role, Y/N made the painful decision to resign from the Third Division. She needed time to heal, and the memories of what she had lost were too painful to bear in the place where it had all happened.
The night she told Hoshina of her decision was filled with tears and heartbreak. They sat together in their secret garden, the weight of their grief heavy between them.
"Soshiro," Y/N said, her voice trembling, "I can't stay here. Every corner of this place reminds me of what we lost. I need to leave."
Hoshina held her tightly, his own heart breaking. "I understand," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "I wish I could come with you, but the Division needs me. Promise me you'll stay safe."
"I promise," she whispered, clinging to him as if trying to imprint his presence into her memory.
Y/N's departure was a quiet affair, known only to a few trusted members of the Division. She left behind a legacy of strength and sacrifice, her absence felt deeply by those who had served under her. Hoshina, in particular, felt the void she left behind, her absence a constant reminder of their shared pain and the future they had lost.
Years passed, and Mina Ashiro took command of the Third Division. Hoshina continued his duties, carrying the weight of his loss in silence. He never forgot Y/N, cherishing the memories of their time together and the love they had shared. He often found himself in the secluded garden, looking up at the stars and remembering the nights they spent dreaming of a brighter future.
Despite the pain, their story was one of resilience and hope. It was a reminder that even in the darkest times, love could endure, giving strength to face the challenges ahead. And though they were apart, the bond between Hoshina and Y/N remained unbroken, a testament to the enduring power of their love.
Every year, on the anniversary of the battle where they lost their child, Hoshina would visit a small memorial he had built in the garden. He would lay a single white flower on the stone and stand in silent remembrance, his heart heavy with both sorrow and gratitude for the time they had shared.
And though being separated by distance only, the memory of their love continued to guide Hoshina, inspiring him to protect those who couldn't protect themselves, just as Y/N had always done. Their love story, was marked by both joy and tragedy, both hoping that their healing would allow them to be together again.

A night at the Disco
Pairing: Hoshina Soshiro x Reader
Summary: Y/N meets her celebrity crush at a popular disco who gets enchanted by her
warning: mature content, 18+
Tumblr media
The dorm room buzzed with excitement as Y/N and her friends prepared for their night out. The faint scent of perfume and hair spray mingled with the sounds of laughter and music. Y/N, a college student, stood in front of her mirror, carefully applying her makeup. Her eyes sparkled with anticipation as she considered the evening ahead.
"Y/N, you look amazing!" her friend, Lisa, exclaimed, twirling around in her own shimmering dress. "This disco is going to be epic. I heard even some celebrities go there!"
Y/N smiled, adjusting the hem of her dress. It was a piece she had designed herself, a blend of vintage and modern styles that perfectly showcased her talent. "Thanks, Lisa. I'm really looking forward to it. We all need a break from our projects."
The girls continued their preparations, each adding the final touches to their outfits. The dorm room was a whirlwind of sequins, laughter, and camaraderie. Y/N's friends, a mix of fashion students and other majors, were her closest companions. They had planned this night out for weeks, a well-deserved break from the relentless pace of college life.
As they stepped out of the dormitory and into the cool evening air, their excitement only grew. The disco, a popular spot known for its vibrant atmosphere and eclectic mix of music, was just a short walk away. The city lights twinkled above them, mirroring the anticipation in their hearts.
Upon arriving at the club, the group was greeted by the thumping bass and flashing lights. The dance floor was already crowded, with people moving to the rhythm of the music. Y/N felt a rush of exhilaration as they made their way inside.
They found a spot near the bar, ordering drinks and chatting animatedly. The energy of the room was infectious, and Y/N couldn't help but feel a sense of liberation. She loved fashion and her studies, but nights like these were a reminder of the importance of balance and fun.
After a few drinks, Y/N and her friends headed to the dance floor. The music was a perfect blend of old and new hits, and they lost themselves in the rhythm. Y/N's dress shimmered under the disco lights, and she felt a sense of pride in her creation.
As she danced, a familiar figure caught her eye. Across the room, leaning casually against the bar, was Hoshina Soshiro. The Vice-Captain of the Defense Force's Third Division was a striking figure, even out of his uniform. His presence commanded attention, and it wasn't long before Y/N's gaze was drawn to him.
She had seen him in the news and read about his exploits. He was a hero, known for his bravery and skill in fighting kaiju. But here, in the disco, he seemed almost like any other person enjoying a night out. Y/N couldn't help but admire his relaxed demeanor and the way he effortlessly blended into the crowd.
"Isn't that Hoshina Soshiro?" one of her friends, Mia, whispered, noticing Y/N's lingering gaze. "He's even more handsome in person!"
Y/N felt a blush creep up her cheeks. "Yeah, it is. I didn't expect to see him here."
Mia nudged her playfully. "Why don't you go talk to him? It's not every day you get to meet you're celebrity crush dear. That's right I see what you watch on your phone."
Y/N shook her head, her shyness taking over. "I can't do that. He probably gets approached all the time. Besides, I'm not great at talking to people I don't know, and stop snooping."
Mia shrugged, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Suit yourself. But if you change your mind, you know where to find him."
Throughout the night, Y/N found her eyes drifting back to Hoshina. She admired the way he moved, the confidence in his stance, and the ease with which he interacted with those around him. He seemed to be enjoying himself, laughing and chatting with friends.
She respected him not just for his status as a Vice-Captain but for the person he appeared to be. There was something magnetic about him, a quality that drew her in.
Hoshina, on the other hand, had noticed Y/N's glances. He was used to being recognized, but the pretty girl in the shiny dress was very eye-catching. He found himself intrigued by the fashion student who seemed both confident and shy.
As the night wore on, Y/N continued to dance and enjoy herself, but her thoughts often wandered to Hoshina. She wondered what it would be like to talk to him, to get to know the person behind the heroic persona. But her shyness held her back, and she resigned herself to simply watching from afar.
The disco's energy remained high, the music never faltering. Y/N's friends were having the time of their lives, and she couldn't deny that she was too. But as the time was passing, she found herself feeling a twinge of regret for not having the courage to approach Hoshina.
--
The night at the disco showed no signs of slowing down. Y/N and her friends continued to dance, drink, and laugh, lost in the euphoria of the music and the vibrant atmosphere. The earlier encounter with Hoshina Soshiro was still fresh in her mind, but she pushed it aside, focusing on enjoying the night with her friends.
As they were dancing, Y/N noticed a man making his way through the crowd towards her. His confident stride and friendly smile made him stand out. When he finally reached her, she recognized him immediately—Furuhashi Iharu, another member of the Defense Force. He was known for his charming personality and strong presence.
"Hey there," Iharu said, his voice warm and inviting. "I couldn't help but notice you from across the room. You and your friends look like you're having a great time."
Y/N felt a blush creeping up her cheeks again. "We are. It's been a fun night."
"I'm Iharu, by the way," he said, extending a hand. "How about you join us in the VIP area? It'd be nice to get to know you better."
Y/N hesitated for a moment, glancing back at her friends. She didn't want to leave them behind, and the VIP area sounded a bit intimidating. But Iharu seemed genuine, and it could be a fun experience.
"Can my friends come too?" she asked.
Iharu's smile widened. "Of course. The more, the merrier."
With that, Y/N gathered her friends, and they made their way to the VIP area. The atmosphere here was even more electric, with a more exclusive crowd and a slightly more relaxed vibe. The music was still loud, but the space felt a bit more intimate.
As they settled in, Y/N's eyes once again found Hoshina Soshiro. He was there, mingling with a few other members of the Defense Force. He looked up and their eyes met for a brief second. She quickly looked away, feeling her heart race. Despite her earlier resolve to approach him, the courage still eluded her.
The group continued to party, enjoying the perks of the VIP section. Iharu was charming and fun, making everyone feel welcome. He was particularly attentive to Y/N, making her feel special and appreciated.
After a while, Y/N decided to take a break and head to the bar for a drink. She needed a moment to herself, to process the excitement of the evening. As she waited for the bartender to get her drink, she felt a presence beside her.
"Mind if I buy you that drink?" a familiar voice asked.
Y/N turned to see Hoshina Soshiro standing next to her, his expression warm and inviting. She felt a mix of surprise and excitement. "Oh, um, sure. Thank you."
He nodded to the bartender, who quickly prepared Y/N's drink. "I'm Hoshina Soshiro, by the way," he said, extending a hand.
Y/N smiled, shaking his hand. "I know. You're quite famous."
He chuckled. "I guess that's true. But tonight, I'm just Soshiro, out to have a good time. And you are?"
"Y/N L/N," she replied. "I'm a fashion student."
"A fashion student? That's interesting. Did you design that dress yourself?" he asked, nodding towards her outfit.
Y/N's face lit up with pride. "Yes, I did. It's one of my favorites."
"It's impressive," he said genuinely. "You have a real talent."
"Thank you," she replied, feeling a warm glow from his compliment. "It's a passion of mine."
They continued to chat, and Y/N found herself relaxing. Soshiro was easy to talk to, and he seemed genuinely interested in getting to know her. He asked about her studies, her interests, and her life as a college student. In turn, he shared stories from his time in the Defense Force, his experiences fighting kaiju, and his love for music and dance.
"You know," he said, taking a sip of his drink, "it's refreshing to meet someone who sees me as more than just a Vice-Captain."
Y/N smiled. "I think it's important to see people for who they are, not just their titles. You're more than just your rank."
He looked at her thoughtfully. "I appreciate that. And I appreciate you taking the time to talk to me."
As the night wore on, Y/N and Soshiro found themselves deep in conversation, their drinks steadily refilled. The initial nervousness had melted away, replaced by a comfortable rapport and a growing sense of attraction. They laughed, shared stories, and slowly, the flirtation became more evident.
Soshiro leaned in slightly, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "You know, Y/N, you're full of surprises. I didn't expect to meet someone so intriguing tonight."
Y/N blushed, feeling the warmth of the alcohol and the intensity of his gaze. "Well, I didn't expect to be talking to someone like you, either. It's been a pleasant surprise."
He smiled, his eyes never leaving hers. "How about we take this conversation somewhere quieter? Would you like to leave with me?"
Y/N's heart skipped a beat. The invitation was clear, and the excitement of the night surged through her. "I'd like that."
They informed their friends, who gave them knowing looks and supportive nods. Y/N and Soshiro made their way through the crowded dance floor, the music fading behind them as they stepped outside into the cool night air.
They hailed a cab, sliding into the backseat. As soon as the door closed, the intimate atmosphere of the cab enveloped them. Soshiro's hand found hers, his touch gentle but firm. The cab started moving, and the city lights blurred past them.
Soshiro turned to her, his expression soft yet intense. He leaned in, and their lips met in a slow, deliberate kiss. Y/N felt a thrill run through her, her heart racing. His kiss was warm, tasting faintly of the cocktails they'd shared.
As the kiss deepened, Soshiro's hand moved to her neck, his fingers lightly caressing her skin. He trailed soft kisses along her jawline and down to her neck, eliciting a soft gasp from Y/N. His other hand rested on her leg, his touch sending shivers through her.
The cab ride seemed both endless and fleeting, their senses heightened by the anticipation. They barely noticed the passing streets, their focus solely on each other. When the cab finally pulled up to Soshiro's apartment, they reluctantly broke apart, their breaths coming in soft, hurried gasps.
They exited the cab, Soshiro paying the driver quickly before leading Y/N to the entrance of his building. The night was silent, the only sound the distant hum of the city. Inside, the elevator ride was a quiet yet charged moment, their hands still entwined, fingers lightly caressing.
Once they reached his apartment, Soshiro unlocked the door, pushing it open to reveal a spacious, elegantly simple space. The decor was tasteful, a blend of modern and comfortable.
"Welcome to my place," he said, his voice a soft murmur as he closed the door behind them.
Y/N looked around, taking in the surroundings before her eyes returned to him. The atmosphere between them crackled with anticipation. Soshiro stepped closer, his hands gently cupping her face as he kissed her again, deeper and more urgent than before.
They moved together, Soshiro guiding her towards the living area. They paused briefly, Y/N glancing up at him, her eyes filled with excitement and a hint of nervousness. Soshiro's gaze was reassuring, filled with desire and tenderness.
He leaned in, his lips brushing her ear as he whispered, "You're incredible, Y/N."
She smiled, feeling a mix of confidence and warmth from his words. "You're not so bad yourself, Soshiro."
Their lips met again, and this time, the kiss was more insistent. Soshiro's hands roamed her back, pulling her closer. Y/N responded eagerly, her own hands exploring his shoulders and chest. The intensity between them grew, a heady mix of desire and connection.
Soshiro's kisses trailed down her neck, his hands finding the small of her back, drawing her even closer. Y/N's fingers tangled in his hair, pulling him closer still. The world outside ceased to exist, the only reality the touch, taste, and scent of each other.
Eventually, they moved towards the bedroom, their movements a dance of eager anticipation. Soshiro's apartment, with its understated elegance, became a private haven for their burgeoning connection. T
Soshiro turned to her, his expression a mix of passion and tenderness. "Are you sure about this, Y/N?"
She looked into his eyes, her own filled with certainty. "Oh yeah."
As they stumbled into the dimly lit room, the warm summer breeze from the open window tousled the curtains gently. Y/N couldn't keep their hands off each other any longer. They collided in a passionate embrace, lips crashing together hungrily. Soshiro pushed Y/N against the wall, their hands roaming frantically over each other's bodies, exploring and teasing.
Y/N let out a soft moan as Soshiro's fingers found their way under her shirt, tracing patterns on her bare skin. Soshiro's touch was electric, sending shivers down Y/N's spine. With nimble fingers, he undid the buttons on Y/N's dress, revealing a lacy bra that barely contained her breasts. Soshiro's eyes darkened with desire as he took in the sight, his breath quickening.
Without breaking their lip lock, Soshiro deftly unhooked the bra, freeing Y/N's plump breasts. He cupped them in their palms, thumbs flicking over hardened nipples, earning a sharp intake of breath from Y/N. Soshiro's mouth traveled down, leaving a trail of hot, wet kisses along Y/N's neck, then lower, until she took one rigid peak into their warm mouth, sucking and teasing it with their tongue.
Meanwhile, Y/N's hands were busy as well, tugging at Soshiro's belt, desperate to free the hardening length she could feel pressing against their thigh. With a swift motion, she undid the buckle and yanked down the zipper, reaching into Soshiro's pants to wrap her hand around the throbbing cock that sprung free.
Soshiro gasped at the sudden touch, his hips bucking involuntarily into Y/N's hand. Y/N stroked them firmly, enjoying the feel of Soshiro's hardness in their grasp. She teased the sensitive tip with their thumb, spreading the pre-cum oozing from the slit, before pumping her hand up and down the full length of Soshiro's shaft.
Soshiro broke away from Y/N's mouth, panting heavily, her cheeks flushed with arousal. He pushed Y/N's hands away and guided them towards the bed, where he sat Y/N down gently. Then, with a ravenous look in her eyes, Soshiro sank to his knees in front of Y/N, taking in the sight of her naked body, hungry for more.
His hands explored Y/N's thighs, teasing the sensitive skin as they inched higher, spreading Y/N's legs wide to expose the glistening pussy beneath. With gentle fingers, Soshiro parted the folds, revealing the swollen bud of Y/N's clit, peeking out from its hood. Soshiro paused, admiring the sight, before blowing a stream of warm air over Y/N's sex, making her squirm and whimper softly.
Then, with a slow, deliberate movement, Soshiro leaned forward and pressed his mouth against Y/N's wet center, lapping at the nectar that flowed from within. Y/N let out a sharp cry, her head falling back as Soshiro's tongue danced over her sensitive bud, circling and flicking it relentlessly. Soshiro moaned softly, the vibrations sending shudders through Y/N's body as he continued to feast on her.
Y/N's hips bucked uncontrollably as she approached her first climax, her hands gripping Soshiro's hair, guiding him closer, desperate for more friction. Soshiro sensed Y/N's impending orgasm and increased his efforts, slipping two fingers into Y/N's tight channel as he sucked firmly on the sensitive bundle of nerves above.
The added sensation pushed Y/N over the edge, and she cried out loudly, her body shaking as waves of pleasure washed over her. Soshiro didn't stop, continuing to lick and suck, drawing out Y/N's orgasm until she thought she couldn't take any more. Finally, Soshiro raised his head, lips swollen and glistening with Y/N's juices.
Y/N lay panting, her eyes half-closed, a satisfied smile on their face. But Soshiro wasn't done yet. He stood up, quickly shedding the rest of their clothes, revealing his hard, muscular body. His cock stood erect, twitching slightly, glistening with a mixture of pre-cum and Y/N's essence.
With a gentle hand, Soshiro guided Y/N to turn around, pressing her chest against the bed. Y/N raised her ass in the air, presenting herself wantonly. A shiver ran through her as she felt Soshiro's hot breath on her exposed skin. Then, without warning, Soshiro's tongue flicked out, teasing the sensitive pucker of Y/N's hole.
Y/N let out a startled gasp, their body trembling at the unexpected sensation. Soshiro chuckled softly, the vibrations buzzing against Y/N's sensitive flesh. Then, taking Y/N's cries as encouragement, Soshiro probed deeper, swirling his tongue around the tight ring of muscles before pushing it inside, stretching and exploring.
The sensations were overwhelming for Y/N, and she couldn't believe how good it felt. Her head pressed into the mattress, back arching as she pushed her ass back. Soshiro obliged, adding two fingers to the mix, scissoring and stretching Y/N's pussy, preparing her for what was to come.
Finally, Soshiro stood up, positioning the tip of his cock at Y/N's entrance. With a gentle but firm thrust, he slid inside, filling Y/N completely. Y/N groaned, the feeling of being stretched and penetrated pushing her closer to the edge once more. Soshiro paused, giving Y/N a moment to adjust to the invasion, before beginning to move, setting a slow, relentless pace.
Each thrust sent pleasurable shocks through Y/N's body, and she reached back, grasping Soshiro's hips, urging him to go deeper, harder. Soshiro complied, quickening his pace, their hips slapping against Y/N's fleshy cheeks as he pounded into them relentlessly. The sound of flesh hitting flesh filled the room, along with Y/N's moans and Soshiro's grunts of pleasure.
The force of Soshiro's thrusts drove Y/N forward, and she braced herself against the headboard, her knuckles white as she clung on tightly, her body being rocked by Soshiro's passionate fucking. Soshiro leaned over Y/N's back, reaching around to tease and pinch her swollen nipples, sending sparks of pleasure straight to Y/Y/N's core.
"Fuck, you feel so damn tight," Soshiro panted into Y/N's ear, his hot breath sending shivers down Y/N's spine. "I'm gonna cum so hard inside you."
Those words sent Y/N over the edge once more, and she cried out, her bodies convulsing as a powerful orgasm ripped through them. Feeling Y/N's hole clenching and pulsing around his cock was too much for Soshiro to bear. With a few more desperate thrusts, he tensed, burying himself as deep as possible inside Y/N, releasing their hot load, coating Y/N's walls with his sticky cum.
Spent and sated, they collapsed in a sweaty heap on the bed, their breaths coming in ragged gasps. They lay entangled for a while, enjoying the afterglow of their passionate encounter. Eventually, Soshiro whispered softly into Y/N's ear, "Welcome to my place, baby."
Y/N smiled, turning their head to look at Soshiro, their eyes shining with satisfaction. "I think I'm gonna like it here," she purred, reaching out to pull Soshiro in for another kiss, already eager for round two.

Summary: Y/N navigates a loveless marriage to Hoshina Soshiro
pt.1
Tumblr media
-flashback-
Y/N stood near the window, her heart pounding in her chest. She was dressed in a delicate white nightgown, the fabric whispering against her skin. Her hands trembled slightly as she clutched the edges of the window sill, staring out into the night. The reality of her marriage had settled upon her like a cold weight, a mix of fear and uncertainty swirling within her.
The door creaked open, and she turned to see Soshiro Hoshina step into the room. He looked as composed as ever, his expression unreadable. He closed the door behind him, the soft click echoing in the quiet room.
Y/N felt a lump form in her throat, her mouth dry. "Soshiro," she began tentatively, her voice barely above a whisper.
He glanced at her briefly before looking away, his demeanor distant and cold. "We have a duty to fulfill," he said simply, his tone devoid of emotion. "If we're lucky we never have to do this again."
She swallowed hard, nodding slowly. "I understand."
Soshiro walked towards the bed, his movements precise and controlled. He removed his jacket, folding it neatly and placing it on a nearby chair. Y/N's heart raced as she watched him, her nerves fraying with each passing second.
"Come here," he said, his voice firm but not unkind.
She took a deep breath, forcing her legs to move. Her steps were hesitant, her feet feeling heavy as she approached the bed. Soshiro stood beside it, his gaze fixed on the floor. He didn't meet her eyes, a wall of detachment surrounding him.
Y/N sat on the edge of the bed, her fingers twisting the fabric of her nightgown. Soshiro moved beside her, his presence both intimidating and comforting in its familiarity. She felt a shiver run down her spine as he reached for her, his touch cool and impersonal.
"We need to consummate the marriage, it'll be quick." he said quietly, his voice tinged with a sense of embarassment.
"I… I know," Y/N replied, her voice trembling. "I just… I'm nervous."
Soshiro's expression softened for a brief moment, but he quickly masked it with his usual stoicism. "It will be over soon," he assured her, his tone flat.
He began to undress her with methodical precision, his touch neither gentle nor harsh. Y/N's heart pounded in her chest, her breath coming in shallow gasps. She felt exposed and vulnerable, her skin prickling with a mix of fear and anticipation.
When he finally joined her in bed, Soshiro's movements were mechanical, driven by duty rather than desire. He didn't look at her, his gaze fixed on a distant point in the room. Y/N bit her lip, tears stinging her eyes as she tried to hold back the sob that threatened to escape.
The act itself was brief and devoid of passion. Soshiro's touch was cold, his mind clearly elsewhere. Y/N felt a profound sense of loneliness wash over her, a stark contrast to the intimacy she had once dreamed of sharing with her husband.
When it was over, Soshiro withdrew from her, sitting up and reaching for his discarded clothes. He dressed quickly, his back turned to her. Y/N lay there, her body trembling, tears silently slipping down her cheeks.
"Goodnight," Soshiro said curtly, not turning to face her.
"Goodnight," she whispered back, her voice barely audible.
As he left the room, the door closing behind him, Y/N felt a crushing weight settle over her. The reality of her marriage was stark and unyielding—a union bound by duty, devoid of love and warmth. She curled up on the bed, hugging herself as she cried quietly, the moonlight casting long shadows across the room.
-end of flashback-
The air was thick with tension and the sounds of muted conversation as the maids moved frantically around Y/N, their hands trembling as they tried to make the process as painless as possible. Despite their best efforts, Y/N’s screams of agony echoed through the house, reaching even the furthest corners where Soshiro waited with their families.
Y/N's face was contorted in pain, her breaths coming in short, labored gasps. Each contraction felt like a wave crashing over her, leaving her exhausted and drained. The maids whispered words of encouragement, their faces pale with concern.
“Hold on, my lady,” one of the maids said softly, brushing sweat-dampened hair from Y/N’s forehead. “You’re almost there.”
Y/N nodded weakly, her grip tightening on the sheets beneath her. The pain was nearly unbearable, but she clung to the thought of the child she was bringing into the world—their child.
Another wave of pain hit her, and she cried out, her voice raw and desperate. The maids exchanged worried glances, their hands moving with a renewed urgency.
“You’re doing great, my lady,” another maid reassured her, though her own voice trembled. “Just a little more.”
In a room nearby, Soshiro sat with a stoic expression, his hands folded neatly in his lap. The muffled sounds of Y/N’s screams reached his ears, each one twisting like a knife in his gut. Around him, their families chatted excitedly, their anticipation palpable.
“Finally, the heir will be born,” his father said with a remarked with a smile.
“Yes, a strong boy to carry on the family name,” Y/N's father added, nodding in agreement.
Soshiro said nothing, his eyes fixed on the door that separated him from Y/N. His mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions, guilt and worry gnawing at him. He knew Y/N was in immense pain, but still sitting away from her, a request she made very clear.
He clenched his fists, feeling the weight of his responsibilities pressing down on him. The image of Y/N’s face, contorted with pain, haunted him, making him feel more helpless than he had ever felt before.
--
A final, piercing scream filled the air, followed by the sound of a newborn’s first cries. Relief washed over the maids as they moved quickly, cleaning the baby and wrapping her in a soft blanket before gently placing her in Y/N’s arms.
Y/N looked down at her daughter, tears streaming down her face. The baby girl was perfect, with tiny fingers and a tuft of dark hair. She was resting peacefully, oblivious to the world around her.
“You did it, my lady,” one of the maids whispered, her voice filled with awe. “She’s beautiful.”
Y/N smiled weakly, her heart swelling with love and pride. Despite everything, she had brought this precious life into the world.
The door opened, and Soshiro entered the room, followed by their families. The atmosphere was thick with expectation, but as they saw the baby in Y/N’s arms, a collective sigh of disappointment filled the room.
“A girl?” Y/N's father said, his tone dripping with disdain.
Soshiro’s eyes darkened as he listened to their comments. He took a step forward, positioning himself protectively between Y/N and the rest of the family.
Y/N looked up at him, her eyes still glistening with tears. “Soshiro...”
He knelt beside her, reaching out to gently touch the baby’s hand. “She’s beautiful,” he said quietly, his voice filled with a tenderness Y/N had rarely heard.
--
Months had passed since the birth of their daughter, and the house had settled into a routine—one marked by the absence of Soshiro. He was always at work, often leaving before dawn and returning long after dusk. Y/N found herself shouldering the responsibilities of caring for their baby, with little to no rest. Her days blurred together in a cycle of feeding, changing, and soothing the infant, her own needs and dreams pushed aside.
The nights were the hardest. As the baby cried for comfort, Y/N would wake, exhaustion hanging heavy on her like a shroud. She would cradle her daughter, singing soft lullabies, her heart aching with a longing for support she never received.
One evening, Y/N set the table for dinner, she had excused her staff, so they can have some privacy, the baby finally asleep in her crib. She had prepared Soshiro’s favorite dishes, hoping that tonight might be different, maybe he would listen. When he finally walked in, the weariness etched on his face mirrored her own, but the distance between them seemed insurmountable.
“Welcome home,” Y/N said softly, forcing a smile.
Soshiro nodded, his eyes barely glancing at the spread before him. “Thank you,” he muttered, taking his seat.
They ate in silence, the clink of cutlery against plates the only sound breaking the tension. Y/N gathered her courage, determined to address the growing chasm between them.
“Soshiro,” she began hesitantly, “I know your work is important, but I need you to be more present for our daughter. She needs her father.”
Soshiro’s fork paused mid-air, his eyes narrowing. “I am providing for her, for both of you,” he replied, his tone clipped.
“I know, and I’m grateful,” Y/N said, trying to keep her voice steady. “But she needs more than financial support. She needs to feel your presence, your love. I need your help, Soshiro. I’m exhausted. And I want the baby to have both of us, not grow up with the maids, like I did, I want her to feel loved by her parents.”
He set his fork down with a clatter, his expression hardening. “Just because I have a child with you doesn’t mean we have to pretend to be a family.”
Y/N’s heart sank, the sting of his words cutting deep. She swallowed hard, tears pricking at the corners of her eyes. “Is that really how you feel?” she asked, her voice trembling. “That we’re just pretending?”
“Yes,” he said bluntly, not meeting her gaze. “This was an arranged marriage, Y/N. We’re together because we had to be, not because we wanted to be.”
“But we have a daughter now,” Y/N argued, desperation creeping into her voice. “She didn’t choose this, and she deserves a family that loves and cares for her.”
Soshiro sighed, rubbing his temples. “I am doing my duty, Y/N. I am fulfilling my obligations.”
“Is that all we are to you? Obligations? I’ve tried so hard to make this work, to be the wife you wanted, the mother our daughter needs. But I can’t do this alone.”
He looked at her then, truly looked at her, and saw the toll the past months had taken. The dark circles under her eyes, the weight of exhaustion pulling her shoulders down, the sadness that lingered in her gaze. For a moment, his resolve faltered, and guilt flickered in his eyes.
“Y/N,” he began, his voice softer, but she cut him off.
“No, let me finish,” she said, her voice steadier now. “I love our daughter. She is the light of my life. But I need you to be her father, not just in name, but in action. I need you to be my partner in this. If not for me, then for her. I'm not asking for you to be a husband, and asking to be a father.”
The silence that followed was heavy, laden with unspoken emotions and the weight of their shared burdens. Y/N’s tears flowed freely now, a mixture of frustration, sadness, and a desperate hope that he might understand.
Soshiro looked away, his jaw clenched. “I don’t know if I can give you what you want, Y/N,” he said finally, his voice barely above a whisper. “I don’t know if I can be that person.”
Y/N’s heart ached at his words, but she refused to give in to despair. “I don't give a shit, man up, I'm in the same situation, you're not the victim here, we have a baby under our care, we are not talking about a cat and I’m not asking for perfection, Soshiro. I’m just asking for effort. For our daughter’s sake. Stop playing the victim like I'm holding you down, you want out, then do it, you can live your life, you can do everything, you are not the woman here, you are the man.”
He didn’t respond, his silence a painful reminder of the distance between them. Y/N stood up, unable to bear the weight of his indifference any longer.
“I’m going to check on our daughter,” she said, her voice breaking. “If you decide you want to be a part of her life, you know where to find us.”
As she walked away, Soshiro watched her go, his mind a turmoil of conflicting emotions. He knew she was right, but the walls he had built around himself were hard to tear down. The weight of his responsibilities felt suffocating, and the fear of failing as a father and husband loomed large.
In the nursery, Y/N stood over the crib, watching her daughter sleep. The baby’s peaceful expression brought a sense of calm to her stormy heart. She reached down, gently stroking her daughter’s cheek, her love for the tiny life before her unwavering.
“I’ll always be here for you,” she whispered, her voice filled with a fierce determination. “No matter what.”
As the night deepened, Y/N sat beside the crib, her thoughts a whirlwind of sadness and hope. She knew the road ahead would be challenging, but for her daughter’s sake, she was willing to fight for the family she believed they could be.
--
The grand hall was illuminated by chandeliers, their light reflecting off the polished marble floors and casting a warm, golden glow over the assembled guests. The annual Defense Force Gala was in full swing, a celebration of achievements and camaraderie among the officers and their families. For Y/N, it was a night of conflicting emotions. She was there to support Soshiro, to give him a good image as his wife, but the strain between them weighed heavily on her heart.
Y/N stood before the mirror in her bedroom, adjusting the delicate fabric of her evening gown. The deep blue dress complemented her complexion, and the soft curls of her hair framed her face perfectly. For once, she felt beautiful and elegant, a stark contrast to the weary mother she had become in recent months. She wanted to look her best, not just for the sake of appearances, but because she still harbored a hope that Soshiro might see her in a different light.
As they arrived at the gala, Y/N felt the eyes of the other guests upon her. Soshiro walked beside her, his demeanor as composed and stoic as ever. They were greeted by members of his team, their faces lighting up with admiration and respect for Soshiro.
“Vice-Captain Hoshina, it's an honor to see you,” one officer said, shaking his hand.
“And this must be your lovely wife,” another added, smiling warmly at Y/N. “You look stunning tonight.”
“Thank you,” Y/N replied, her smile genuine but tinged with sadness. She glanced at Soshiro, hoping for a glimmer of appreciation in his eyes, but he remained impassive.
Throughout the evening, Y/N mingled with the guests, her charm and grace earning her compliments from the members of Soshiro’s team and their spouses. She felt a fleeting sense of belonging, a momentary respite from the loneliness that had become her constant companion.
As the night progressed, Y/N found herself in conversation with one of the other wives, a kind woman who had been nothing but supportive.
“You’ve done a wonderful job, and you look so good, when I had my baby I couldn't bring myself together, but you're amazing, you and you husband must be thrilled.” the woman said, patting Y/N’s hand. “You make an excellent couple.”
“Thank you,” Y/N replied, her smile wavering as she glanced around the room. “Have you seen Soshiro? I seem to have lost track of him.”
The woman shook her head. “Not recently, but I’m sure he’s around here somewhere.”
Concern gnawed at Y/N as she discreetly excused herself from the conversation. She began to weave through the throng of guests, her eyes scanning the room for any sign of her husband. The hallways were bustling with people, laughter and music filling the air, but Soshiro was nowhere to be found.
She ventured outside, the cool night air a stark contrast to the warmth of the gala. The gardens were beautifully lit, paths winding through manicured hedges and blooming flowers. As she walked, she caught sight of a balcony off to the side, the sound of hushed voices reaching her ears.
Y/N’s heart pounded as she approached the balcony, her footsteps faltering as she recognized Soshiro’s voice. He was standing with a younger, beautiful woman, her laughter like a tinkling bell. They were standing close, too close, and the sight of them together sent a sharp pang of betrayal through Y/N’s chest.
“I admire your dedication, Vice-Captain Hoshina,” the woman said, her voice smooth and flirtatious. “It’s inspiring.”
Soshiro smiled, a rare sight that twisted the knife in Y/N’s heart. “Thank you,” he replied, his tone equally warm. “It’s always a pleasure to meet someone who understands the sacrifices we make.”
The woman laughed, a soft, melodic sound. “You’re too kind,” she said, her hand reaching up to touch his arm lightly. “I’ve heard so much about your bravery and leadership. It’s truly remarkable.”
Soshiro chuckled, the sound foreign and jarring to Y/N’s ears. “You flatter me,” he said, his hand reaching out to tuck a loose strand of the woman’s hair behind her ear. “But it’s not just me. We all play our part.”
Y/N’s breath caught in her throat as she watched the interaction. The intimacy of the gesture, the way he looked at the woman with a softness he had never shown her—it was too much to bear. She saw the woman’s eyes light up at his touch, her cheeks flushing slightly.
“And you play your part so well,” the woman said, her voice lowering seductively. “It must be difficult, balancing such a demanding job with your personal life.”
Soshiro shrugged, his smile never wavering. “It has its challenges, but it’s worth it. Especially when you get moments like these to unwind.”
Y/N felt her vision blur with tears. She had hoped for so long that they could find a way to bridge the gap between them, but this—this felt like the final blow. She turned away, unable to bear the sight any longer, and ran back into the garden, her tears flowing freely.
Y/N found a secluded bench, collapsing onto it as sobs wracked her body. The image of Soshiro with the other woman played over and over in her mind, each replay a fresh stab of pain. She had tried so hard, given so much, and yet it seemed there was no hope for them. Her heart ached not just for herself, but for their daughter, who deserved a family united by love, not divided by indifference and betrayal.
“Why do I even care when I knew this would happen eventually.” she whispered to the night, her voice breaking.
Her sobs echoed in the stillness of the garden, the stars above offering no solace. She felt a deep sense of despair, the weight of her unfulfilled dreams and broken heart pressing down on her. She had dreamed of love, of partnership, of a life where she and Soshiro could be more than just two people bound by obligation. But those dreams seemed further away than ever.
After what felt like an eternity, Y/N wiped her tears, her resolve hardening. She couldn’t stay here, couldn’t let Soshiro see her like this. She needed to be strong, for herself and for her daughter. She took a deep breath, straightening her dress and standing tall, even though her heart felt like it was shattering.
As she made her way back to the hall, she forced a smile onto her face, the mask of composure slipping into place. She would endure this night, for appearances’ sake, but the pain in her heart would not be so easily masked.
When Y/N returned to the gala, she found herself once again surrounded by guests, their chatter and laughter a dull roar in her ears. She kept her head high, her movements graceful, but inside she was numb.
Soshiro reappeared a short while later, his expression unreadable as he joined her. “Where have you been?” he asked, his tone neutral.
“Just needed some air,” Y/N replied, her voice steady. “It’s been a long night.”
He nodded, not pressing further. They continued to move through the crowd, their interactions polite but distant. Y/N felt the weight of their fractured relationship with every passing moment, the facade of their marriage crumbling around her.
--
As the gala drew to a close, Y/N and Soshiro made their farewells, their smiles masking the turmoil beneath. They returned home in silence, the car ride a stark contrast to the glittering evening they had left behind.
When they arrived, Y/N went straight to their daughter’s room, excusing the maid watching her, needing the comfort of her child’s innocent presence. She stood over the crib, watching her baby sleep, her heart aching with a mixture of love and sorrow.
Soshiro lingered in the doorway, watching her. “Y/N,” he began, but she shook her head, not wanting to hear his excuses or explanations.
“Good night, Soshiro,” she said quietly, her voice firm. “I need to be with our daughter.”
He hesitated, then nodded, retreating to his own room. "You looked beatifull tonight, I hope you enjoyed the party." Soshiro said before going inside.
She just watched him, confused, why did he even cared after spending the night and flirting around, pushing her closer even if she knew he just wanted her away. It's like he knew that moments like this would be stuck in her mind like a plage, feeding her of fake hopes.
If being the mother to his baby wouldn't bring them, she knew there was no way, always being distant and obidient to him somehow made ir worse.
All the last months of her pregnancy she attended to every request, she sat around, gave up her painting, she lost her person. Sometimes she would lay down and imagine herself with her first love, that made it easier, sometimes she would pretend the memories with him would be recreated with soshiro, a world where he tried.
After seeing how he was with other women, there was a point made. He made an heir. The can be with anybody, and it's certainly not her. She didn't know when her feelings for him even arrived to her, not understanding if she forced herself to have some sort of affection towards him. She broke her own heart, she could never blame him. There was only two times where he treated her with dignity, and it was when she was on her lowest. He only cared when she didn't expect him to.
Men.
So she made up her mind. She did gave up. Her last hope of a child bringing them together sank. She lost.
--
Several months had passed since the night of the gala, and life for Y/N had settled into a routine of quiet determination. She had retreated into herself, her interactions with Soshiro becoming sparse and strained. He was rarely home, his dedication to the Defense Force taking precedence over family life, and their daughter was left largely in Y/N's care. Her maids helped when needed, but the weight of responsibility rested firmly on her shoulders.
In this time, Y/N had found solace in her painting once more. The act of creating art provided an escape, a means to express the emotions she kept hidden from the world. Her works began to attract attention, and soon she was selling them, her talent recognized and appreciated by many. She even secured a spot in a local gallery, her paintings displayed for all to see.
The gallery was abuzz with activity, the grand opening of Y/N’s exhibition drawing a crowd of art enthusiasts, critics, and casual admirers. Y/N moved through the throng, her baby girl cradled in her arms, her little face lighting up at the sights and sounds around her. Y/N’s heart swelled with pride and a hint of nervousness. This night was important, not just for her career but for her sense of self-worth.
As she mingled with the guests, she found herself engaged in conversations about her work. Many praised the emotional depth and vibrant colors of her paintings, drawn to the stories each piece seemed to tell.
“This one is particularly striking,” an elderly woman said, pointing to a painting that depicted a beautiful landscape, one that Y/N had created during a moment of rare tranquility. “The colors are so vivid, and the composition is just perfect.”
“Thank you,” Y/N replied, smiling warmly. “That one was inspired by a place I used to visit as a child.”
The woman nodded appreciatively, moving on to the next piece. Y/N continued her circuit, her eyes scanning the room to ensure her guests were enjoying themselves. That was when she noticed him.
A man stood in front of one of her most personal paintings, the one she had created in memory of her lost love. It depicted a scene of serenity and sadness, capturing the essence of a moment forever gone. Y/N’s heart skipped a beat as she recognized the man – Gen Narumi, a renowned officer in the Defense Force, known for his sharp mind and unyielding dedication.
Gen’s eyes were fixed on the painting, his expression one of deep contemplation. As Y/N approached, her baby girl gurgled happily, drawing Gen’s attention. He turned, his serious demeanor softening as he saw the child.
“Hello,” Y/N greeted, her voice steady but soft. “I see you’ve found one of my favorites.”
Gen nodded, his gaze shifting back to the painting. “It’s beautiful,” he said simply. “There’s a lot of emotion in it.”
“It’s very personal,” Y/N admitted. “I painted it for someone I lost. He was… very dear to me.”
Gen looked at her, his eyes filled with understanding. “I can see that. The emotion comes through clearly.”
For a moment, they stood in silence, the weight of unspoken words hanging in the air. Then, Gen smiled, a rare and genuine expression that reached his eyes. “You have a real talent. This gallery is a testament to that.”
“Thank you,” Y/N replied, her cheeks flushing slightly. “It means a lot to hear that.”
Her baby girl reached out, her tiny hand grabbing at the air in Gen’s direction. He chuckled softly, leaning down to her level. “And who is this little one?” he asked, his voice gentle.
“This is my daughter,” Y/N said, her voice filled with love. “She’s been my constant companion.”
Gen extended a finger, and the baby grasped it, her eyes wide with curiosity. She giggled, a pure and joyful sound that made Y/N’s heart swell with happiness.
“She’s beautiful,” Gen said, his tone sincere. “You must be very proud.”
“I am,” Y/N replied, smiling down at her daughter. “She’s my world.”
As the evening progressed, Y/N found herself returning to Gen’s side time and time again. Their conversations flowed easily, a mix of shared experiences and mutual respect. She learned that he had a deep appreciation for art, something he used as a means to unwind from the stresses of his demanding job.
“I can’t imagine how difficult it must be,” Y/N said at one point, glancing at Gen with admiration. “Balancing such a dangerous job with… everything else.”
“It has its moments,” Gen admitted, his gaze thoughtful. “But we all have our ways of coping. Art seems to be yours.”
As the night drew to a close, Y/N stood with Gen by the painting of her lost love. The gallery was emptying, the guests slowly trickling out, but she felt no rush to leave. Her daughter was asleep in her arms, her tiny form curled against her chest.
“Thank you for tonight,” Gen said softly, his eyes warm as they met hers. “It’s been… refreshing. I appreciate the conversation, if you want to have coffe sometime or hangout, see some galleries, feel free to reach out, it's good to have a friend sometimes.” He said, handing her a piece of paper.
“Thank you for coming,” Y/N replied, her voice equally soft. “And for… everything. I feel like I haven't had a good talk like this forever.”
For the first time in a long while, Y/N felt a glimmer of hope, she felt happy that life was going a little bit easier. Having another person treat her like she was someone made her feel as if she wasn't unworth all this time, she was just handed the wrong people.

Hoshina's pov:
The city lay in ruins, the aftermath of the kaiju attack evident in every shattered building and scorched street. As Vice Captain of the Japan Defense Force, it was my duty to remain vigilant, to lead my team with unwavering resolve. But in the quiet moments between battles, my mind often wandered to a time when life was simpler and love felt eternal.
We were high school sweethearts, Y/N and I. She was the light in my life, her laughter a melody that could brighten even the darkest days. I still remember the first time I saw her, standing by the school gates with a book in her hand, her eyes sparkling with curiosity and warmth.
"Hey, you're in my chemistry class, right?" I had approached her, trying to sound casual despite the nervous flutter in my chest.
She looked up, a smile spreading across her face. "That's right. You're Hoshina Soshiro, the kendo club captain."
"Yeah," I replied, scratching the back of my head. "I was wondering if you wanted to study together sometime. You seem really smart, and I could use all the help I can get."
She laughed, a sound that would become my favorite in the world. "Sure, I'd love to. How about after school today?"
From that moment on, we were inseparable. We spent countless hours studying together, sharing our dreams and fears, finding comfort in each other's presence. Our favorite spot was the old cherry blossom tree in the school courtyard, where we'd sit and watch the petals fall like snow, lost in our own world.
"Soshiro," Y/N said one afternoon, her head resting on my shoulder as we lay beneath the tree. "Do you ever wonder what the future holds for us?"
I squeezed her hand, drawing strength from her touch. "I do. And I know that whatever happens, as long as we're together, we'll be okay."
She smiled, her eyes filled with a mixture of hope and uncertainty. "Promise me we'll always be there for each other, no matter what."
"I promise," I whispered, sealing our vow with a kiss.
But then, one day, she was gone. Vanished without a trace, leaving a gaping hole in my heart. The days turned into weeks, the weeks into months, and still, there was no sign of her. I threw myself into my training, hoping that by becoming stronger, I could somehow find her, protect her, bring her back.
Years passed, and I rose through the ranks to become Vice Captain, my dedication to the Japan Defense Force unwavering. But the memory of Y/N never faded. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw her smile, heard her laughter, felt the warmth of her hand in mine.
As I stood among the ruins, the weight of my responsibilities heavy on my shoulders, I couldn't help but wonder where she was, if she was safe, if she thought of me as often as I thought of her. The not knowing was the hardest part, the uncertainty that gnawed at my soul.
But I held onto hope, clung to the belief that one day, I would find her. Until then, I would fight. For her, for the promise we made, for the future we dreamed of under the cherry blossom tree.
"Y/N," I whispered into the night, the stars above a silent witness to my vow. "I'll find you. No matter how long it takes, no matter where you are, I'll bring you back."
And as the city began to rebuild, as the battle against the kaiju continued, I carried her memory with me, a beacon of light guiding me through the darkness.

Y/N's pov:
The bar was a haven for the weary souls of the city, a place where laughter mixed with the clinking of glasses and the hum of conversation.
However, today was a slow day, the nights were full and tough, filled with people driking by themselves to get their loneliness away, others just friends enjoying their youth and love, others? Just men looking for a dancer to pay their way into a night full of lust.
At afternoon, just with a couple people showing up, I stood behind the counter, expertly mixing drinks, my eyes scanning the room for any signs of trouble or someone needing my service. It was a routine I had grown accustomed to, a semblance of normalcy in a life that was anything but joyfull.
"Evening, Chisuka" a familiar voice broke through my thoughts. I looked up to see Captain Narumi leaning against the bar, his eyes sharp and knowing.
"Good evening, Captain," I replied, keeping my tone neutral. "What brings you here?"
He smiled, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "Just checking in. How's everything?"
"Quiet, for now," I said, glancing around the bar. "But you never know when things might change."
Narumi nodded, his expression turning serious. "You remember your mission, right? If anything happens, you're to report to me immediately."
I nodded, a weight settling on my shoulders. "I understand."
As he was about to leave, he paused, holding my chin and looking back at me, never breaking our eye contact, “Chisuka… stay safe. We need you."
I watched him go, my mind swirling with a mixture of emotions. Despite the danger, despite the constant fear of discovery, I had found a purpose in my new life. I was fighting for a cause, even if it meant staying in the shadows, hidden from the ones I loved.
The night I vanished played out like a nightmare in my mind, a memory I could never escape. I had been walking home from school, my thoughts filled with dreams of the future, when a kaiju attack erupted. The last thing I remembered was the ground shaking, buildings collapsing, running to try and help my sweet mother and my baby brother, only to come back to their corpses…their lifeless eyes.
My mother was out of reach, her body under what used to be our home, only her head picking out, maybe she felt the kiss I left her with. My baby brother, four years old, died in my arms, the pain was too hard for him to endure, too hard for him to talk, maybe not too hard for him to listen to me, hopefull that my last words of love would give him some peace of mind when walking into the unknown.
When siting beside my mother and holding my brother, a blinding pain as something inexplicable happened. When I woke up, I was no longer human. I had become a kaiju, a monster in the eyes of the world. How could I come back. Now that I only had Soshiro, and I had turned into what he hated the most.
For months, I lived in hiding, grappling with my new reality, until one day, Captain Gen Narumi found me. It was in a battle field, I turned into a kaiju to help a family that was in my sight in the middle of the attack, with no weapons or skills at all, I was only left with one strategy.
I was desperate, afraid of dying, I wanted to see sohiro's face again on day, I couldn't die, I revealed my self, not thinking of consequences.
Instead of destroying me, he offered me a chance to fight back, to use my newfound abilities for a greater purpose. He gave me a new identity and a new mission: to serve as a secret weapon for the first division, known by their higher ranks.
Later that night, as I cleaned up the bar, the door swung open, and a group of soldiers from the defence force walked in, their uniforms unmistakable. My heart skipped a beat as I recognized one of them—Soshiro. He looked older, more hardened, but his eyes still held that same spark I remembered.
I quickly turned away, focusing on cleaning a glass, my hands trembling. I couldn't let him see me, couldn't risk him recognizing me.
As the soldiers settled at a table, I caught snippets of their conversation. They spoke of the latest kaiju threat, of battles and strategies, but one name kept coming up: Captain Gen Narumi.
"He's got something up his sleeve," one of the soldiers said, his voice low. "Something big. Even we don't know what it is."
Soshiro nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Whatever it is, let's hope it gives us the edge we need."
I swallowed hard, my heart pounding in my chest. They had no idea that the captain’s secret weapon was standing right in front of them, serving drinks and pretending to be someone else.
For now, I had to stay hidden, a shadow among the living. But one day, when the time was right, I would reveal the truth. And until then, I would fight from the shadows, a secret weapon waiting to be unleashed.

Hoshina's pov:
The next morning dawned with a sense of relief, the events of the previous night fading into memory. Mina and I shared a quiet breakfast together, the gossip about our supposed relationship the subject of much amusement.
"I can't believe people actually believe those rumors," Mina chuckled, sipping her coffee. "As if I would ever go for someone like you."
I rolled my eyes, playfully nudging her shoulder. "Hey, watch it. You're lucky to have me."
We laughed, the tension of the past evening dissipating in the light of day. Despite the rumors, Mina and I had always been nothing more than friends, comrades in arms against the kaiju threat.
After breakfast, we headed to a reunion with the defense force to discuss the increasing number of kaiju attacks. The meeting was tense, the atmosphere charged with urgency as we debated strategies and tactics. Gen Narumi, captain of the first division, was as stoic as ever, his gaze piercing as he addressed the group.
"We're facing an unprecedented threat," he began, his voice commanding attention. "The kaiju attacks are escalating, and we need to be prepared for anything."
He paused, glancing around the room before continuing. "That's why I've been working on a secret project, one that I believe could turn the tide in our favor. I've recruited a new member to our ranks, someone with unique abilities that could prove invaluable in our fight against the kaiju."
Murmurs of curiosity rippled through the room as Narumi revealed his secret weapon. "Her name is Habina Chisuka" he explained, his expression grave. "She was once a human like us, but she was transformed into a kaiju. I've been training her, studying her abilities, in the hopes of unlocking the secrets of her transformation. We still don't know how or why it happened to her, she doesn't have any recolection of that night, however we have her under observation to try figure it out this occurrence.”
As Narumi spoke, I felt a sense of unease settle over me. The idea of using a transformed human as a weapon was unsettling, to say the least. How was that even possible. But Narumi was convinced that Chisuka held the key to understanding the kaiju threat, and I trusted his judgment implicitly.
"She's here with us today," Narumi continued, his gaze sweeping the room. "But she remains anonymous, her true identity hidden from all but a select few. I ask that you respect her privacy and treat her with the same respect you would any member of our team."
I nodded, the weight of Narumi's words sinking in. Habina Chisuka was a mystery, a puzzle waiting to be solved. And as the meeting came to a close, I couldn't shake the feeling that her presence would change everything. Using a kaiju as a soldier.
Later that evening, as I sat alone in my office, the events of the day played over in my mind. Chisuka Hibino was a wildcard, a variable that could tip the scales in our favor—or lead to our downfall.
--
Mina and I sat in the quiet of our shared quarters, the events of the day weighing heavily on our minds. As we sipped our tea, a tense silence settled between us, broken only by the occasional clink of our cups.
Finally, Mina spoke, her voice low and cautious. "This all Habina Chisuka situation doesn't seem right to me."
I nodded, knowing exactly what was on her mind. "I know. It's hard to trust someone we know so little about."
Mina leaned forward, her gaze intense. "But what if she's not who she says she is? What if she's a kaiju in disguise, manipulating us for her own purposes?"
The thought sent a chill down my spine, but I couldn't deny the possibility. "It's a risk we can't afford to ignore. We need to find out the truth about her, no matter what."
Mina nodded, her expression determined. "Agreed. But how do we do that? Gen trusts her implicitly, and he won't take kindly to us questioning her."
I frowned, knowing she was right. Gen Narumi had put his faith in this Chisuka, and questioning her loyalty would be seen as a betrayal. But if there was even a chance that she posed a threat to us, we couldn't afford to ignore it.
"We'll have to be subtle," I said, thinking aloud. "We'll need to gather information, find out who she is, about her past and her abilities. If she truly is who she says she is, then she won't have anything to hide."
Mina nodded, her expression grim. "Agreed. Although, if she's under Narumi's watch, it can be difficult to track her down. But if I could have something from Narumi, we can know where she is and keep an eye on her, watching for any signs of suspicious behavior. And if we find anything, we'll confront her and demand answers. Kill her if needed."
I felt a surge of determination, knowing that we couldn't afford to let our guard down.

Narumi's pov:
The soft glow of the streetlights cast long shadows across the quiet street as I made my way to Chisuka's apartment. The events of the day weighed heavily on my mind, and I knew that I needed to speak with her before the situation escalated any further.
As I reached her building, I hesitated for a moment before knocking on her door. The sound of footsteps approached, and soon Chisuka stood before me, her expression guarded but curious.
"Narumi," she greeted, her voice soft with surprise. "What brings you here at this hour?"
"I wanted to speak with you, Chisuka," I replied, offering her a small smile. "May I come in?"
She nodded, stepping aside to let me enter. The apartment was small and sparsely furnished, a testament to Chisuka's solitary existence. I followed her inside, taking a seat on the worn couch.
"I wanted to talk to you about the reunion we discussed earlier," I began, my tone serious. "We may need you in battle soon, and I wanted to prepare you for what's to come, we had the reunion today, we announced your presence in our team to the other divisions, we have been training for 3 years now, and with the increase of kaiju attacks and stronger kaijus appearing, you'll need to make you debut, you need to know what it's like on the battlefield."
Chisuka's expression darkened, a shadow crossing her features. "I understand, Captain. I'll be ready."
I studied her for a moment, sensing her sadness and unease. "Is everything alright, Chisuka? You seem… troubled."
Chisuka hesitated, her eyes betraying the turmoil within. "It's nothing, Captain. Just… personal issues."
I reached out, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "You can talk to me, Chisuka. I'm here to help."
Her walls began to crumble, the weight of her emotions pressing down on her. "It's just… I saw Soshiro at the bar tonight, and it messed with my head, with everything, it's just...I need to move on anyway, he even has a girlfriend now."
My heart clenched at her words, a surge of protectiveness rising within me. "I'm sorry, Chisuka. I didn't realize…"
Chisuka shook her head, trying to push aside the memories that threatened to overwhelm her. "It's fine, Captain. I'll deal with it."
We sat on the floor, her couch holding our backs, only a small light from an old chandelier lighted the room, I made conversation with her, trying to distract her from the pain she revealed to me. But I could still see the pain in her eyes, the lingering hurt from her encounter with Soshiro. Without thinking, I leaned in closer, my lips hovering just inches from hers.
"Chisuka…" I murmured, my voice barely above a whisper.
She looked up at me, her eyes wide with uncertainty. In that moment, I wanted nothing more than to ease her pain, to offer her the comfort she so desperately needed.
But as our lips drew closer, I hesitated, a voice whispering in the back of my mind that this wasn't right, that I was crossing a line I shouldn't.
With a shaky breath, Chisuka pulled away, her eyes filled with regret. "I'm sorry, Narumi. I can't…"
I nodded, my own heart heavy with disappointment. "It's alright, Chisuka. I shouldn't have…"
She reached out, placing a hand on my arm. "Thank you, Narumi. For everything."
As I rose to leave, I couldn't shake the feeling of longing that lingered in the air between us. But I knew that I needed to respect Chisuka's boundaries, to give her the space she needed to heal.
And as I watched her disappear into the depths of her apartment, I couldn't help but wonder what has gotten into me, feeling guilty for making her unconfortable...I'm sorry Chisuka.
--
-flashback-
The battlefield was chaos. Smoke and debris filled the air, the roar of kaiju and the shouts of our comrades blending into a cacophony of war. I was leading my team in a desperate defense against a particularly relentless kaiju when a new, unexpected threat emerged from the shadows.
It was unlike any kaiju we had faced before. Its form was humanoid, almost graceful, with a mixture of sleek, alien-like armor and raw, exposed muscle. Its eyes, however, held an intelligence that set it apart from the mindless beasts we were used to fighting.
I engaged it cautiously, my attacks probing for weaknesses. But it quickly became clear that this kaiju was different. It moved with purpose, almost as if it were trying to communicate.
Suddenly, the creature stopped fighting and held up a clawed hand, a gesture that seemed almost… human.
"Please," it spoke, its voice resonating in our minds rather than through the air. "I am not your enemy. My name is Y/N L/N."
I froze, disbelief and confusion etched on my face. A talking kaiju? This had to be some kind of trick.
"Why should I believe you?" I demanded, keeping my blade at the ready.
The kaiju, Y/N, shifted her form, her features softening and becoming more human-like. Slowly, painfully, she began to transform. Before our eyes, the monstrous exterior melted away, revealing a young woman with tear-filled eyes.
"Because I was human once," she said, her voice trembling. "And I need your help. Please, I'm not a threat."
The sincerity in her eyes, the desperation in her voice—it was enough to give me pause. Lowering my weapon, I approached her cautiously. "Alright. I'll help you. But you need to come with us."
Y/N nodded, relief flooding her features. "Thank you."
In the weeks that followed, I didn't know what approach to have, I was still suspicious of her, although, how could a kaiju be so human. But over time, her genuine desire to aid me became evident. She began her training with me, shared her knowledge of kaiju behavior, and proved her loyalty time and time again.
During this period, I grew closer to Y/N, now named Habina Chisuka. We spent long hours discussing strategy, her insights often proving invaluable. Despite the initial awkwardness, a camaraderie began to form between us.
One evening, after a particularly grueling training session, I found Chisuka sitting alone on the roof of the base. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the city below.
"Mind if I join you?" I asked, approaching her with a small smile.
She glanced up, surprised, then nodded. "Of course, Captain."
I sat beside her, the silence between us comfortable. "You've come a long way, Chisuka. I'm glad you're with us."
She smiled, but there was a hint of sadness in her eyes. "Thank you, Captain. It's been… difficult, but I'm grateful for the chance to prove myself."
A few days later, we offered Chisuka a small apartment near the base, the girl had spent the last years of her life jumping from bench to bench, our working long hours for no money, just to be given a warm bed. But now, she did have a place she could call her own. I wanted her to feel as much a part of our team as anyone else, and a private space seemed like a good step towards that.
That night, I couldn't resist checking on her. I knocked softly on her door, and after a moment, she opened it, her eyes red and puffy.
"Chisuka, are you alright?" I asked, concern lacing my voice.
She tried to smile, but it wavered. "Yes, Captain. I just… I didn't expect this. A place of my own. It's… overwhelming."
I stepped inside, glancing around the modest apartment. It was sparsely furnished, just a bed, a small table, and a chair, but it was more than she had ever hoped for since her transformation. "You deserve it, Chisuka. You've earned my trust and my friendship."
She nodded, tears spilling down her cheeks. "Thank you. For everything. I never thought I'd feel welcome again, let alone have a place to call home."
Without thinking, I pulled her into a gentle embrace. "You're one of us now, Chisuka. We're here for you."
She clung to me, sobbing softly against my chest. I could feel her trembling, the weight of her emotions pouring out after being bottled up for so long. "It's been so hard," she whispered. "I lost everything. My family, my friends, my life. And now… now I have this."
Her words broke my heart. I tightened my embrace, trying to offer her some semblance of comfort. "I can't imagine what you've been through, Chisuka. But I promise you, you're not alone anymore. We'll face this together."
She pulled back slightly, looking up at me with red-rimmed eyes. "I don't know how to thank you, Captain. You've given me more than I ever thought possible."
I wiped away her tears, offering her a reassuring smile. "Just keep fighting alongside us. That's all the thanks I need."
She nodded, a small, grateful smile breaking through her sorrow. "I will. I promise."
As we stood there, the bond between us strengthened, forged in the crucible of battle and tempered by shared pain. Habina Chisuka was more than just a weapon in our fight against the kaiju—she was a valued member of my team, and someone I came to want to protect with my life.
In the days that followed, Chisuka began to settle into her new life. She joined me in training sessions, her kaiju abilities proving to be an invaluable asset. She shared her insights on kaiju behavior, helping us to develop new strategies and tactics. And slowly but surely, she began to find her place among us.
One evening, after a particularly intense training session, I found myself once again at Chisuka's apartment. She had invited me for dinner, a gesture of gratitude that eventually become something regular for us.
As we sat at the small table, sharing a simple meal, I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. Chisuka was smiling, a genuine smile that reached her eyes, and for the first time since we had met, she seemed at peace.
"Thank you for this, Chisuka," I said, raising my glass in a toast. "To new beginnings."
She clinked her glass against mine, her smile widening. "To new beginnings."
As we talked and laughed, I realized just how far she had come. From a kaiju on the battlefield to a trusted member of my team, Habina Chisuka had found her place among us. And I knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them together.
Because over time, I saw her as a priority, she would be under my protection 24/7.

Chisuka's pov:
After Captain Narumi left my apartment, my emotions were a tangled mess. The almost-kiss left me shaken and confused, and I needed to clear my head. I decided to walk to the convenience store, hoping the night air would help.
The night was cool, a slight breeze rustling the leaves of the trees lining the quiet streets. The occasional distant sound of a car or the murmur of voices drifted through the air. The lights of the convenience store shone like a beacon, offering a brief escape from the whirlwind of my thoughts.
As I wandered the aisles, picking up a few essentials, I tried to focus on the mundane task at hand. The routine helped to ground me, but I couldn’t shake the lingering unease from earlier. After paying for my items, I stepped outside, the night air feeling refreshing against my skin.
I started my walk back home, the streets even quieter than before. The soft hum of the city was barely audible, a soothing background noise. But as I walked, a strange sensation began to creep over me. My kaiju senses, always heightened, were picking up something unusual. I scanned the area, my eyes darting from shadow to shadow, but everything seemed normal at first glance.
Just as I turned down a quieter street, I saw him. A man stood under the dim light of a streetlamp, his back to me. He was dressed in a nondescript suit, his posture relaxed. At first, he seemed like any other late-night wanderer, but something about him set off alarm bells in my mind. My kaiju instincts screamed that he wasn’t what he appeared to be.
I slowed my pace, my heart pounding in my chest. As I drew closer, the man turned slightly, just enough for me to catch a glimpse of his eyes. They glinted with an unnatural light, a predator’s gleam.
"Good evening," he said, his voice smooth and cold. "Out for a late-night stroll?"
I stopped, keeping my distance. "Just heading home," I replied cautiously, my muscles tensing in readiness.
The man smiled, a predatory grin that sent shivers down my spine. "You shouldn’t be out alone at this hour. It’s not safe."
In a flash, his form shifted, his human facade melting away to reveal his true nature. He was a kaiju, a humanoid one, his body radiating with a sinister energy.
My heart skipped a beat. This was no ordinary kaiju. He was intelligent, cunning, and far more dangerous than any I had encountered before.
"You're one of them, aren’t you?" he said, his voice dripping with malice. "A human turned kaiju. How… interesting."
Before I could respond, he lunged at me, his claws slashing through the air. I barely had time to react, transforming into my kaiju form to block his attack. Our claws met with a resounding clash, the force of the impact sending shockwaves through the ground.
The street erupted into chaos as we fought, our massive forms tearing through the concrete and asphalt. I struck out with my claws, aiming for his vital points, but he was fast, dodging and countering with precision.
"You can’t hide what you are," he taunted, his eyes glowing with malevolence. "I'll take your body for myself."
His words fueled my anger, giving me strength. I roared, pushing him back with a powerful strike. He stumbled but quickly regained his footing, a cruel smile on his lips.
"You think you can beat me?" he sneered. "You’re just a failed experiment."
I growled, my claws slicing through the air as I launched myself at him. We clashed again, the force of our blows shaking the buildings around us. I could feel his strength, his power, and I knew this fight wouldn’t be easy.
But I wasn’t alone. I had the skills, the training, and the determination to protect those I cared about. And I wouldn’t let this monster win.
Our battle raged on, the street becoming a war zone. I managed to land a few solid hits, but Kaiju No. 9 was relentless. He fought with a savage fury, each strike more vicious than the last.
Suddenly, he lunged forward, his claws aiming for my throat. I twisted to avoid the blow, but he was too fast. His claws grazed my neck, a searing pain shooting through me. I stumbled back, trying to regain my balance.
"Is that all you’ve got?" he jeered, advancing on me.
I snarled, refusing to back down. Summoning all my strength, I launched myself at him, my claws aiming for his heart. He dodged, but I managed to land a solid hit on his shoulder, sending him crashing into a nearby wall.
He roared in pain, his eyes blazing with fury. "You’ll pay for that," he hissed, his voice a venomous promise.
But before he could retaliate, the distant sound of sirens filled the air. The Defense Force was on their way. The third division. If they saw me like this, they’d capture me for sure. And this other kaiju—whatever he was—would be taken too.
With a final, powerful strike, I sent the figure sprawling. He scrambled to his feet, a look of panic in his eyes. "I have to go," he said, more to himself than to me. Before I could react, he turned and ran, disappearing into the shadows.
I hesitated, torn between pursuing him and escaping before the Defense Force arrived. In the end, survival won out. I turned and fled, my kaiju form melting away as I ran. By the time the third division arrived, I was long gone, just another shadow in the night.
Breathing heavily, I finally stopped in a secluded alleyway, leaning against the cool brick wall to catch my breath. My mind raced with questions. Who was that figure? What was he? And why did he seem so human?
As the adrenaline began to fade, exhaustion set in. I knew I had to get back to my apartment, but the events of the night weighed heavily on me. I had fought to protect the innocent, but in the process, I had encountered something—or someone—new. Someone who didn’t fit into the neat categories of human or kaiju.
I finally reached my apartment, slipping inside and locking the door behind me. The small space felt even smaller after the events of the night, the walls closing in around me. I sank onto the couch, my mind still racing.
I had so many questions and no answers. But one thing was clear: the world was far more complicated than I had ever imagined. And in this new, uncertain landscape, I would have to navigate carefully, relying on my instincts and my newfound allies.
As I sat there, my thoughts drifting back to the strange figure I had fought, I couldn’t shake the feeling that our paths would cross again. And when they did, I would be ready.
The next morning, I awoke to the sunlight streaming through the curtains. The events of the previous night felt like a distant dream, but the lingering soreness in my muscles was a stark reminder of the battle I had fought.
I made my way to the kitchen, the familiar routine of making coffee grounding me. As I sipped the hot drink, I replayed the encounter in my mind, trying to make sense of it. Who was that figure? What was his connection to the kaiju? And why did he seem so conflicted?
--
I made my way to the First Division base. The streets were still quiet, the city slowly waking up around me. The events of the previous night weighed heavily on my mind, and I knew I needed to talk to Captain Narumi about what had happened.
When I arrived at the base, I was greeted by the familiar sight of the bustling headquarters. Soldiers and staff moved with purpose, preparing for another day of battling kaiju threats. I made my way through the corridors, nodding to a few familiar faces, until I reached Captain Narumi's office.
I knocked on the door, and a moment later, it opened to reveal Narumi's sharp, observant eyes. He took one look at me and seemed to sense the urgency of my visit.
"Chisuka," he said, stepping aside to let me in. "Come in."
I entered the office, feeling the weight of his gaze on me. Narumi closed the door behind us and motioned for me to sit. I took a seat, my thoughts racing as I tried to find the right words to explain what had happened.
"Captain," I began, my voice steady despite the turmoil inside me. "I need to tell you about something that happened last night."
Narumi leaned forward, his expression serious. "Go on."
I took a deep breath and began recounting the events of the night before. "After you left my apartment, I went to the convenience store to clear my head. On my way back, I encountered a man… or at least, he appeared to be a man. But my kaiju senses told me otherwise."
Narumi's eyes narrowed slightly. "A kaiju in human form?"
I nodded. "Yes. He revealed himself to be a Kaiju. He was disguise as a human, if not for my senses I wouldn't have suspected. He attacked me, claiming he wanted my body for himself, I think he wanted to use it for disguise, although he didn't seem to know who I was, but he knew what I was."
Narumi's expression darkened, his eyes reflecting a mix of concern and anger. "An humanoid kaiju… we've heard rumors about him, but this is the first confirmed encounter. Are you alright?"
"I'm fine," I replied, though the memory of the fight still sent shivers down my spine. "We fought, and it was a close call. The Defence Force was on their way, so he fled before they arrived. But he knew what I was, Captain. He knew I was a human turned kaiju."
Narumi leaned back in his chair, his gaze distant as he processed the information. "This changes things," he said finally. "This kaiju seems like a serious threat, and the fact that he can take on human form… it complicates matters."
I nodded, feeling a sense of relief that he understood the gravity of the situation. "I wanted to tell you as soon as possible. We need to be prepared for whatever he might do next."
Narumi's eyes met mine, a steely determination in his gaze. "We'll take this to the higher-ups. They need to know about this kaiju and his abilities. And we'll increase our patrols and surveillance to ensure he doesn't catch us off guard again."
I felt a surge of gratitude for Narumi's support and quick action. Despite the confusion and fear from the previous night, I knew I could count on him.
"Thank you, Captain," I said sincerely. "I appreciate your support."
Narumi nodded, a rare softness in his expression. "We're in this together, Chisuka. We'll do whatever it takes to protect you and our people."
As I left his office, I felt a renewed sense of purpose. This threat of was real and immediate, but I wasn't alone in facing it. With Narumi and the First Division by my side, I knew we had a fighting chance.
"failed experiment". What did he mean by that.. could it be... there's another human like me?
--
Later that day, I found myself in the training area, needing to blow off some steam. The encounter with the humanoid kaiju had left me on edge, and I needed to channel my energy into something productive.
I went through a series of combat drills, pushing my body to its limits. The physical exertion helped clear my mind, each punch and kick a release of the tension that had been building inside me. As I trained, I couldn't help but think about the implications of what had happened. This was a new kind of enemy, one that could blend in with humans and strike without warning. It was a sobering thought, but also one that fueled my determination.
As I finished my session, I noticed Captain Narumi watching from the edge of the training area. He approached, a thoughtful look on his face.
"Good work, Chisuka," he said, nodding in approval. "Your skills are improving."
"Thank you, Captain," I replied, wiping the sweat from my brow. "I needed to clear my head after last night."
He nodded, understanding. "I wanted to let you know that I've informed the higher-ups about the kaiju you reported. They're taking the threat seriously, and we'll be increasing our patrols and surveillance."
I felt a sense of relief at his words. "That's good to hear. We can't afford to let our guard down."
Narumi's gaze softened slightly. "I also wanted to check on you. I know last night was intense, and I wanted to make sure you're okay."
I appreciated his concern, but I knew I had to stay strong. "I'm fine, Captain. Just more determined than ever to protect our people."
He nodded, a hint of a smile on his lips. "That's the spirit. We'll face whatever comes our way, together."
As he walked away, I couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of hope. The fight against the kaiju was far from over, but with allies like Captain Narumi by my side, I knew we had a chance.

Third person pov:
The news of the kaiju’s ability to disguise itself as a human sent ripples through the Defense Force. It was a game-changer, a revelation that required immediate action. Captain Gen Narumi decided to call a meeting with the leaders of all divisions to discuss the implications and formulate a strategy. This was a threat that affected everyone, and unity was more critical than ever.
The meeting was scheduled for the following morning, and the conference room buzzed with tension and anticipation as the division captains filed in. The room was large, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, screens displaying real-time data from various sectors, and a large oval table where the leaders now gathered.
Narumi stood at the head of the table, his expression as stern as ever. He waited until everyone was seated before starting the meeting.
"Thank you all for coming on such short notice," Narumi began, his voice steady and authoritative. "We have a situation that requires immediate attention. Last night, one of our operatives, Chisuka, encountered a kaiju. A different kind. This kaiju has the ability to disguise itself as a human."
A murmur of shock and concern swept through the room. Mina Ashiro, Captain of the Third Division, leaned forward, her eyes sharp. "A kaiju that can mimic human form? That's unprecedented."
Narumi nodded. "Indeed. This changes our entire approach. We can no longer assume that kaiju threats are limited to monstrous forms. It is intelligent and dangerous. It engaged in direct combat with Chisuka and managed to escape before the Third Division arrived."
Vice-Captain Soshiro Hoshina, sitting beside Mina, clenched his fists. "We need to increase our vigilance. If it can blend in with humans, it could be anywhere, even within our ranks."
Narumi's expression darkened. "Exactly. That's why we need a coordinated effort from all divisions. We must enhance our surveillance and improve our detection methods. This kaiju poses a unique threat, and we cannot afford to let it slip through our fingers."
Captain Mina added, "We should also educate our personnel about this new threat. They need to be aware of the possibility and trained to identify any signs of deception."
Captain Narumi nodded in agreement. "I've already spoken to the higher-ups, and they are prioritizing the development of new detection technologies. In the meantime, we need to rely on our instincts and experience. Chisuka managed to sense the kaiju despite its human disguise. We need to tap into those skills across our divisions."
As the discussion continued, the captains brainstormed various strategies, from increased patrols and surveillance to joint training exercises. The room was filled with a sense of urgency, but also determination. They knew the stakes were high, but they were prepared to face the challenge head-on.
After a thorough discussion, Narumi concluded the meeting. "We'll reconvene in a week to assess our progress and adjust our strategies as needed. Stay vigilant and keep your teams informed. Dismissed."
The captains rose from their seats, their minds already racing with plans and strategies. As they exited the room, Narumi stayed behind, his thoughts lingering on the encounter. The threat was real, and it was closer than they had ever imagined.
Later that day, Captain Narumi found himself in his office, poring over reports and data. The weight of responsibility pressed heavily on his shoulders, but he was resolute. The Defense Force had faced many challenges before, and they had always emerged stronger. This would be no different.
A knock on the door pulled him from his thoughts. "Come in," he called.
The door opened to reveal Chisuka, her expression a mix of determination and concern. "Captain, I wanted to update you on my findings from last night."
Narumi gestured for her to take a seat. "Go ahead."
Chisuka recounted the details of her encounter with the kaiju providing as much information as she could. Naruto listened intently, absorbing every detail.
"Your instincts were spot on," Narumi said after she finished. "We need to harness that ability. You'll be instrumental in our efforts to track and identify the kaiju."
Chisuka nodded. "I'll do whatever it takes, Captain. We can't let this kaiju go unchecked."
Narumi leaned back in his chair, a thoughtful look on his face. "Agreed. We're facing a new kind of enemy, but we're not alone. With the combined efforts of all divisions, we'll find a way to stop it. And Chisuka, your role in this will be crucial."
She met his gaze, a steely resolve in her eyes. "I'm ready, Captain. Let's bring this kaiju down."
Narumi nodded, a hint of a smile breaking through his stern exterior. "Let's do it. It's time for you to be in action"

Hoshina's pov:
The morning air was crisp as Captain Mina Ashiro and I strolled through the practice camp of the First Division. The camp was alive with activity—soldiers sparring, honing their skills, and new recruits undergoing their first drills. It was a familiar scene, one that brought a sense of both nostalgia and pride.
"Have you seen the new recruits in action yet?" Mina asked, her voice carrying a hint of curiosity as she scanned the training grounds.
"Not yet," I replied, my gaze sweeping over the soldiers as we walked. "But I've heard good things. They're a promising bunch. That Kafka, he's hiding some potential, even if the suit is not matching with his body yet, his determination is something that will bring him greatness, I'm very intrigued by him."
Mina nodded, her attention momentarily drawn to a group of recruits practicing hand-to-hand combat. "We've been fortunate to attract some talented individuals. With the kaiju threat growing, we need every capable hand we can get."
As we continued our walk, discussing our latests plans for Shinomiya, the third strongest member of our team, even as a newbie that girl had an amzing strength, we may need her to give her a special spot sooner, the number of kaiju attacks have been increasing too much, it's a waste have someone like her and not put her in the right spot.
Then, I saw her.
Y/N.
She was engaged in rigorous combat training, her movements fluid and precise. She moved with a grace that spoke of years of discipline and dedication. Her face was focused, determined, a far cry from the carefree girl I had known. She wore the uniform of the First Division, blending seamlessly into the ranks of soldiers preparing for battle.
My heart skipped a beat as recognition dawned on me. It was her. Y/N L/N—the girl I had loved and lost. The girl who had disappeared without a trace, leaving behind unanswered questions and a void in my heart.
Mina noticed my distraction and followed my gaze. "What is it, Hoshina?"
I hesitated, torn between the past and the present. "Nothing," I said finally, forcing myself to tear my eyes away from Y/N. "Just thinking about the new recruits."
Mina studied me for a moment, her expression thoughtful. "You seem… preoccupied. Is everything alright?"
I nodded, a tight smile forming on my lips. "Just a lot on my mind, that's all."
As we walked away from the training area, I couldn't shake the image of her from my thoughts. Seeing her again after all these years—it stirred up emotions I had long tried to bury.
All this time she was close and I didn't know, how could this happen, what was she doing here? What is going on, does this means she dissapeared because she wanted to? How could she...No, Soshino you don't know anything.
But as much as I tried to push her from my mind, a part of me couldn't help but wonder about Y/N—about where she had been all these years, and what had brought her back into my life now.
As we continued our rounds through the camp, discussing strategies and reviewing the progress of the new recruits, I couldn't help but steal glances back towards the training grounds. She remained focused on her training, unaware of the memories and emotions she had stirred within me.
I kept my thoughts to myself, the weight of the past heavy on my shoulders.
It was a twist of fate—a thread of destiny weaving its way through our lives once more. Y/N L/N, I found you.

Narumi's pov:
The corridors of the Defense Force facility felt colder than usual as I made my way to Y/N’s cell. The tension in the air was suffocating, and the weight of what I had to do pressed heavily on my shoulders. I needed to prove her humanity, to show everyone that she was still the same person despite everything.
I reached the cell door, the sound of my footsteps echoing ominously in the quiet hallway. Taking a deep breath, I nodded to the guard who unlocked the door and allowed me inside. Y/N sat on the narrow cot, her face pale and her eyes hollow. It was a stark contrast to the vibrant, bubbly woman I had known.
“Chisuka,” I began softly, my voice gentle.
Her head snapped up, and she glared at me, her eyes filled with a mix of anger and despair. “My name is Y/N,” she corrected sharply. “There’s no need for me to hide anymore. Everyone already knows.”
I nodded, feeling a pang of guilt. “Y/N, I’m sorry. I just want to talk to you, to help you.”
She scoffed, a bitter smile playing on her lips. “Help me? Do you think there’s any help left for me? After what Soshiro did?”
I took a step closer, my heart aching at the pain in her voice. “Y/N, we need to prove that you’re not a threat. If you wanted to escape, you could have. We both know you’re strong enough to do it. That alone shows you’re not dangerous.”
Behind the one-way mirror, I knew Ashiru, Hoshina, and the others were watching. I needed to get through to them, but more importantly, I needed to get through to her.
Y/N’s eyes softened momentarily before the hard mask returned. “They won’t believe you. They won’t believe me. To them, I’m just a monster.”
“You’re not a monster,” I insisted, my voice firm. “You’re Y/N, the woman who fought alongside us, who saved lives. You’re the same person you’ve always been.”
She laughed, a sound devoid of any joy. “The same person? Look at me, Narumi. I’m a wreck. I didn’t ask for this. I didn’t want any of it. I just wanted to live my life, to be happy.”
Her words cut deep, and I felt a lump form in my throat. “I know, Y/N. I know you didn’t ask for this. But we need to show them that you’re still the same person, that you’re not a threat.”
Her demeanor shifted, and I saw a glimmer of the woman I knew. “How can I prove that to them? How can I make them see?”
I stepped closer, kneeling beside her. “Just be honest. Tell them everything. Show them your heart.”
Her eyes filled with tears, and she looked away, her voice barely above a whisper. “I’m so tired, Narumi. So tired of fighting, of proving myself. I never wanted this. I just wanted to be with Soshiro, to have a normal life.”
My heart ached for her, and I reached out, gently taking her hand. “We’ll get through this, Y/N. I promise you. We’ll show them the truth.”
She shook her head, tears streaming down her face. “What truth? That I’m a freak? That I’m something to be feared?”
I squeezed her hand, trying to offer some comfort. “No, that you’re a person. That you have a heart, a soul. That you’re Y/N, the woman who’s been through hell but still stands strong.”
Her tears flowed freely now, and she started to sob, her body shaking with the force of her emotions. “I never wanted this,” she repeated, her voice breaking. “I never asked for any of this.”
I held her hand tightly, my own eyes filling with tears. “I know. I know you didn’t.”
She looked up at me, her eyes filled with a desperate plea. “Narumi, just take out of here, I promise I'll never come back, I don't have anything anymore here for me, I don't want to keep being a burden to you.”
Her words shattered my heart, and I felt my own tears spill over. “I’m here for you, Y/N. We’ll get through this together.”
Her sobs grew louder, and she called out, her voice filled with anguish, “Please, if this is the life I'm worth just let me be with my mom again.”
I pulled her into my arms, holding her tightly as she cried, her pain and despair overwhelming her. I felt her body tremble against mine, her tears soaking my shirt.
“It’s going to be okay,” I whispered, my voice choked with emotion. “We’ll get through this. I promise.”
As she clung to me, I could feel the eyes of the observers behind the mirror. They needed to see this, to understand her pain, her humanity. But more than anything, I needed them to see the woman I knew, the woman who was fighting a battle she never asked for.
Y/N’s sobs gradually subsided, and she pulled back slightly, her eyes red and swollen. “Why don't they ever believe me?” she asked, her voice barely audible.
I looked into her eyes, my heart breaking for her. “I believe in you, Y/N. And I’ll do everything I can to make them believe too. You’re not alone in this.”
She nodded, a faint glimmer of hope in her eyes. “Thank you, Narumi.”
I gave her a small, reassuring smile. “We’ll get through this. Together.”
As I held her hand, I felt a renewed sense of determination. I would fight for her, for her humanity, and for the truth. No matter what it took, I would make them see that Y/N was not a monster, but a person who deserved to be understood and loved.
And as I glanced at the mirror, I hoped that somewhere behind it, Soshiro was watching and realizing the depth of his betrayal. I hoped he could see the woman he had turned his back on, and feel even a fraction of the pain she was enduring.
As Y/N’s sobs quieted, I held her, feeling the weight of her despair and the depth of her pain. I had to get through to her, to make her believe that there was still hope, still a future worth fighting for.
“Y/N,” I began softly, my voice filled with as much reassurance as I could muster, “you don’t have to go through this alone. You can rebuild your life. You can have a future.”
She looked up at me, her eyes filled with doubt. “How, Narumi? How can I have a future when everyone sees me as a monster?”
I gently cupped her face, forcing her to meet my gaze. “You can quit working at the bar. You don’t have to hide anymore. You can become an official officer, that was our plan anyway, you know you have higher people on your side, even if for their own interests, prove your worth, and show everyone who you really are. They'll give the respect you deserve. You have the strength and the heart to do it.”
She sniffled, her eyes searching mine for any hint of deception. “Do you really believe that?”
“I do,” I said firmly. “You’re capable of so much more than you realize. You can have a career, be happy, and find someone who will love and respect you for who you are. You don’t need to long for the traitor who betrayed you. You deserve better.”
Her eyes softened, a flicker of hope sparking within them. “But what if they never accept me? What if I’m always seen as a threat?”
I squeezed her hand, my heart aching for her. “Then we are both a threat, I'll not leave you alone.”
Behind the one-way mirror, I knew Ashino and Hoshina were still watching. I hoped they could see the truth in her eyes, the pain and the resilience. Just then, Captain Ashiru’s voice crackled through the intercom, cold and authoritative.
“Y/N,” she said, her tone leaving no room for argument, “if you want to prove yourself, you need to demonstrate your control and strength. We request that you face Vice-Captain Hoshina in a controlled fight. It’s the only way we can be sure.”
Y/N’s face went pale, and she pulled away from me slightly. “Fight Soshiro?” she whispered, her voice trembling. “I don’t know if I can.”
I turned to the mirror, my anger boiling beneath the surface. “Is this really necessary?” I demanded, my voice tight with frustration.
Ashiru’s response was immediate. “It is. We need to see her capabilities and her control. It’s the only way we can ensure the safety of everyone involved.”
I turned back to Y/N, my heart breaking at the fear in her eyes. “You can do this,” I said softly, my voice filled with determination. “You’re strong, Y/N. Stronger than you know. This is your chance to show them who you really are.”
She looked at me, her eyes wide and filled with uncertainty. "What if I hurt him?”
“You won’t,” I said firmly. “You have control. You’ve shown it before, and you can show it again. This is your chance to prove yourself, to prove that you’re more than what they think you are.”
She took a deep breath, her hands shaking slightly. “Okay,” she said finally, her voice barely above a whisper. “But I won't fight.”
I nodded, feeling a mix of pride and concern. “I’ll be right here, watching. You’re not alone in this, Y/N.”
As she stood up, I could see the determination in her eyes, the fire that had been dimmed by despair beginning to reignite. She was ready to fight, not just for her freedom, but for her future.
We walked out of the cell, and I stayed close to her as we made our way to the training arena. The atmosphere was tense, and I could feel the eyes of everyone on us, watching, waiting.
In the arena, Hoshina stood ready, his expression unreadable. Y/N took a deep breath, her gaze locking onto him. I could see the conflict in her eyes, the pain of betrayal mixed with the need to prove herself.
Mina’s voice echoed through the arena, commanding and firm. “Begin.”
--
Hoshina's pov:
The arena was eerily quiet as I stood facing Y/N, the woman I had once known. The weight of our shared history pressed down on my shoulders, and I could see the same burden reflected in her eyes. Captain Ashiru’s command to begin the fight still echoed in my ears, and I took a deep breath, steeling myself for what was to come.
I moved forward, my stance ready and determined. Y/N stood her ground, her gaze unwavering as she met my eyes. The air was thick with tension, and I could feel the eyes of everyone in the room on us.
I launched my first attack, a swift and controlled strike aimed at testing her defenses. She dodged it effortlessly, her movements fluid and precise. I pressed on, my strikes becoming more aggressive, more determined. But no matter how hard I pushed, she refused to transform, to unleash the power I knew she held within.
“Y/N, fight back!” I shouted, my frustration boiling over. “Show them your strength!”
She shook her head, her eyes filled with a quiet resolve. “I can’t, Soshiro.”
I intensified my attacks, trying to force her hand. She blocked and dodged with skill, but she never once struck back. Each time I landed a blow, she absorbed it, her body bending but never breaking. I could see the pain in her eyes, the struggle she faced in refusing to fight me.
“Why won’t you fight?” I demanded, my voice breaking with emotion. “Show them who you are!”
She met my gaze, her eyes filled with a sorrow that cut deep into my heart. “I wouldn’t lay a finger on you even if it means not seeing another day ever again.”
Her words hit me like a punch to the gut, and I faltered, my next attack falling short. The sincerity in her voice, the depth of her love and pain, left me reeling. I tried to press on, to continue the fight, but my heart wasn’t in it anymore.
With each strike that I landed, a piece of me shattered. She stood there, taking it all, her eyes never leaving mine, filled with a mixture of sorrow and determination. She wasn’t just refusing to fight back; she was making a statement, showing everyone that her humanity, her love, was stronger than any kaiju power.
I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t keep hurting her. My attacks slowed, and finally, I dropped my stance, my arms falling to my sides.
“I can’t,” I whispered, my voice breaking. “I can’t fight you, Y/N.”
She looked at me, her eyes filled with tears, and for a moment, we were back to who we once were, two people who had loved each other deeply and had been torn apart by circumstances beyond our control.
“I’m sorry,” I said, my voice choked with emotion. “I’m so sorry for everything.”
I turned and walked away, my heart heavy with the weight of my actions. As I exited the arena, the silence was deafening. I could feel the eyes of the other officers on me, their judgments, their questions, but I didn’t care. All I could think about was Y/N and the pain I had caused her.
Back in the observation room, I faced Mina and Narumi, their expressions a mix of confusion and frustration.
“She won’t fight,” I said simply, my voice hollow. “She’s more human than any of us.”
Narumi’s eyes were blazing with anger, directed not at Y/N, but at me. “You pushed her too far, Hoshina. You tried to break her, and yet she stood firm. Do you see now? Do you see who she really is?”
I nodded, my heart heavy with regret. “I see it. She’s stronger than any of us could have imagined.”
Captain Ashiru’s voice cut through the tension, cold and commanding. “We still need to ensure she’s not a threat. We need to know her control.”
I looked at her, my eyes pleading. “She’s proven it. She took everything I threw at her and didn’t once strike back. What more do you need? Besides, do you think that Captain Narumi would come here, do everything you request, if he didn't know he was going to leave with her, she has no legal document of working for them but she's recognized by them, they only let her here all this time because she wasn't needed yet, they don't care, and they knew we wouldn't kill her. And she's only here because she keept asking him for time for me to let her free, the same man who arrested her, she's only here right now because I refused her humanity, thinking she was a monster, the same ones I killed.”
I just let it all, I knew all this time, I watched her all the time, I listened to everything, and even after I keept refusing reality, thinking that someone got her, that something was mimicking her, using her body, anything. How could someone as ethereal as her be as lethal as those things.
And now... I killed every dream she ever had, I doubted her.
"Let her go, I request it Captain."
