Sins:

Impressionable - Puck has many voices talking over one another in his mind. He is often unsure which ones to listen to & which ones to ignore. All of them appeal to him in equal measure, either by agreeing with his natural inclination towards good or by encouraging him to give in to his darker temptations. As a result, he finds himself easily swayed by external forces, allowing others to choose what he wants for him.  Despite allegedly having strong principles, Puck comes across as wishy-washy & weak-minded. He is also incredibly fickle, his passions intense & quickly burnt out in favor of whatever new whims catch his eye. This feeds into his impulsive nature.  Vain - Veiled, if only thinly, by his excessive self-loathing & frequent attempts to appear meek in the presence of others, Puck has a rather . . .   inflated ego. A subconscious trait, perhaps, for he does not seem to be aware of its existence within him. It may rear its ugly head when Puck's authority is challenged or when he is playing a particularly heated game of Lanceboard. It may also make an appearance when he has recently bathed in blood or when he has not shed enough blood to satisfy it.  Fake -  . . . What do you mean, ❛ fake ❜ ？Who added this ？Puck Darlington values truthfulness & honesty above all else. He is always, always honest. He would never be fake. How dare you accuse him of deceit ？HE. IS NOT. A LIAR.

Virtues:

Honest - Hehe, in all seriousness, he is very honest in an extremely literal sense where he always tells the truth, or at least what he thinks is the truth. You must remember the fact that he is quite ignorant to his own masquerading for this to make sense.  Maybe earnest is a better way to describe him. He is so very earnest. He doesn't really realize that he's something of a liar in a more abstract sense. Generally, he tries his best to be completely sincere & blunt with others. He will say what he really thinks & what he really feels. He does not like keeping secrets.  Patient - For all his impulsive & fickle behavior, Puck is actually a shockingly patient, self-controlled individual. Yes, yes, I know: Adam, he is literally The Dark Urge. To which I say, exactly. Specifically, he is a Resist!Dark Urge. This requires so much patience. Puck is the world's most reserved man to ever exist all things considered, I think.  He is more than willing to listen to the full story before casting judgment. He is not quick to anger. There are very specific buttons that have to be pressed to rile him up, but beyond those, he is an easy person to talk things out with. Compassionate - Puck has an abundance of empathy in his heart. He is so deeply kind to even the worst of the worst & cares so, so, so much about everyone around him. He loves helping people. Incredibly forgiving, Puck is also always willing to give someone another chance again & again & again.

OT3: 

Shadowheart & Astarion - My babies . . .  In my canon ending for him, Puck is married to both of them. ♥ I literally cannot explain how much I love these guys without getting light-headed & starting to levitate, so you're just going to have to trust me on this one. Oh, well, if you insist: it's about the parallels. The Two Sides of the Same Coin-isms of it all. The seemingly direct opposites yet peel the layers away & you see your own reflection of it all. I'm also a sucker for the trope where the sweet, kind character gets through to the mean grouch & softens them up or reminds them what whimsy & hope are like, which Puck excels at doing. All their personalities mesh & balance each other really well.  Also, Shadowheart & Puck are kind of high school sweethearts in my canon. They were friends as teenagers & had little crushes on each other before inevitably forgetting that the other ever existed. Only to, of course, later fall in love all over again. Basically, they're like, soulmates or whatever.  Oh, and Astarion is there too, I guess. 🙄 ← JOKE ！！！They love him.

Babette @bloodyarn - The fact that I walked in to Tumblr RP World thinking, Oh, I don't really care about romantic ships for Puck. He's just not the most romantic guy in the world. I would prefer giving him some new friends, honestly.  And Then I Interacted With Babette & Became Insane. I've already gushed about Dogyarn before, so I'll try not to ramble too much. ( I'll also start levitating if I talk about them for too long. ) From an objective standpoint, they should not work as a couple, yet they are somehow the most Couple to ever exist in the history of couples, I think.  Also Babette taught Puck ❛ I Don't Know What Cheating Means ❜ Darlington what romance & jealousy are. Incredible feat. Astounding. She didn't even try. Dogyarn has truly led Puck to places he wouldn't even go with a gun.  Katya @silvertiefling - MY ！TOXIC ！YURI ！！！FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK, these two are insane. They're my parents. They should rot in hell. They're everything to me. I hope they get hit by at least five trucks at the same time. Another case of I'll Start Levitating if I think about them too hard, I'm so serious.  Babe, what if we were both monsters & utterly irredeemable together ？Babe, what if I kept breaking your heart because I can't help it but you keep crawling back to me anyway ？Babe, what if you got pregnant because I forced you to eat my severed finger ？Who else in the world is going to love me like you do even when I'm killing you ？What then, huh ？？！

Acceptable Ships:

Minthara - My default pairing for the AU where Puck embraces the Dark Urge, of course. Though I do ship them in a Probably-Doomed-to-Fail way in a normal verse, too.  Minthara is one of only people, if not the only one ever, who has forced Puck out of his idealistic mindset about the world & actually taught him how morality is not as black & white as he thinks it is. He also trusts her more than others because she does not judge him ⸻ at least not the parts he's used to being judged for. She is also the very first person he confides in about the truth of his past. He shows & tells her everything completely unfiltered, and he really appreciates being able to do that with someone. Lae’zel -  Surprisingly very well-suited for Puck, actually. The two of them have opposing views on a lot of things, but because they're both so blunt & honest about it, this tension actually really helps them grow together. Also Puck softens Lae'zel up juuuust a little bit, and it is so very endearing. The way the romance progresses is also ideal for how Puck approaches relationships, too. I absolutely adore how Lae'zel confesses her love without being able to identify what it is. That is so similar to how Puck would do a confession. Gale - And by acceptable ship, I mean absolutely unacceptable in a way I cannot look away from. In theory, these two seem like they would be cute together. Or at least I thought this would be the case when I had Puck romance Gale in the game. In actuality, they are one of the most toxic ships I have ever had the misfortune of participating in.  Puck is simply a horrible partner for that poor wizard. He's primarily attracted to him in a predator / prey kind of way. He wants to eat this guy sooooo bad. I think Gale is drawn to Puck in a very *chuckles nervously* I'm In Danger kind of way that he, similar to myself, cannot help himself from seeing how it plays out. Gets his heart absolutely shattered in the process because that dog has got it going on with literally everyone else in camp. 

BROTP: 

Iago @accultant - No Further Comment Necessary. Duh. Tch . . . Whatever . . . I don't even like them that much. They're fine. Stop Looking At Me. No, I'm Not Crying Get Out of Here. Wyll - Oh my god. I will become actually insane if I go in-depth on this dynamic because there is simply so much to explore here, but long story short: Wyll is the one Puck asks to kill him if the Urge takes him too far.  Puck trusts him like a brother, essentially. Idolizes him as the perfect hero & also feels such deep shame when around him because he is unable to reach the same heights as the pedestal he's placed Wyll on. He can never be fully open with Wyll, often finding himself avoiding him. He admires & envies him from afar.  Minthara - Wow, Minthara, how come you get TWO spots on the list ？Honestly, she is basically Puck's bestest friend ( barring Iago, obviously ) & I love this pairing regardless of whether or not it is romantic. I already talked about it above, so I won't repeat it but just know that I love them. Their bond is very special. To ME.

NOTP:

Gortash - I am sorry, D.urgetash Nation. I get why everyone goes crazy for it, and I probably would have too, if it weren't for who Puck is as a person. I just don't think Mr. Enver Gortash took this bitch seriouslyyy. Frankly, he probably saw Puck as an absolute hot mess who has been so far gone for a very long time. No ambition whatsoever on this guy. Completely, embarrassingly dependent on his twin. To me, Gortash & Puck's dynamic is 1) almost exclusively weird coworkers, & 2) that of an inventor & his lab rat that he throws bombs at for fun.  OK, but did they fuck ？Maybe. Knowing Puck, probably. None of my business, though. I don't wanna know what they got up to after Puck's limbs re-grew post-explosion, if I am being #real with you.
