seriously the way they abruptly stopped showing us jinx's mental state in s2 despite it making zero sense for her symptoms to get better was a weird choice considering how rock bottom she gets. then she reunites w her family which is one of her biggest triggers and it's no biggie. s1 had me like wow as someone who experiences psychosis this is the first time i've seen the illness portrayed in a way that doesn't turn the character into a caricature and the animation actually helps the viewer understand and sympathize with the trauma shes suffering from. shes not just a quirky manic pixie dream girl trope but a fully fleshed out person who's a product of the ppl and environment around her. and then they take all that brilliant depth of her character away, making her more palatable to fans who now say "shes not insane anymore!" even tho that's not how it works. and then after a season of suicidal ideation, attempting multiple times, they have her fake her own death bc the message is that her loved ones are better off without her. cool character. i barely recognize her.
