Never knew how much I needed obsessive idol fan!Gojo until your fic. It's so good!
Why do I feel like Gojo in this fic would try to hire Reader to sing at his birthday or something. Even if it's against the rules, he'll make it happen with the power of unlimited money and sheer passion lol
first off, thank you so much, i’m really glad you enjoyed it!! ;___;
second, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT ABSOLUTELY. i think if reader’s current manager isn’t the type to be too swayed by money then satoru would find a way to get them out of the picture. maybe by sending weird/obsessive spam emails that your manager just can’t figure out how to filter/block, the sheer amount of them growing way out of their control and pay range before they quit.
couple ways this could go:
eventually you’ll get a new manager, but it’s someone who’s a bit more willing to throw you to the sharks for the extra cash lining their pockets. and when they get that email inquiring about a private concert with an unfathomable amount of money… well. they’re all but shoving you into his arms just to get a taste of that cut.
also, i think seedy manager would get you into gravure. satoru feels extremely mixed about this — part of him is way too excited about the photos (doubly so if they’re personally autographed) but then he remembers other people can get their hands on them too and then the possessiveness comes out… like horribly.
or you end up self-produced for a bit. and it BLOWS. bc you did all this work to finally get yourself under an agency just to fall back where you started. your manager did a lot of organizing live shows, fan meets, streams, etc. etc. and now the burden falls solely on you. it’s a lot of menial labor that you’ve taken for granted. the amount of gigs you take nosedives for a bit bc you get lost in miscommunication and logistics before anything’s able to be confirmed. so you’re struggling a little bit. or maybe a lot.
less lives = less money, and you’re already stressed out of your mind doing everything by yourself. satoru, of course, picks up on this pretty quickly, and he eventually gives you an offer you can’t refuse.
you ask if there’s any strings attached and he says there isn’t. you just have to perform, like you’ve always done for him.
