like to some extent i get where it comes from but at the same time. it is completely unfair to assume everyone is mad at you all the time and preemptively try to “beat them” at? what? some imagined competition? where apologizing indicates a loss. by literally screaming at them

When you suddenly cry in front of them :(
Riddle, Vil, Kalim, Malleus x gn!reader (riddle's and vil's are explicitly post overblot tho it's not super important)
i'm back to entering tartarus every day (school started again) so i thought i might as well distract myself with some hot twst guys :)
i havent been very active i know, i just cant get myself to do anything at all these days 😞i am so so sorry for making a kinda lazy short collection of blurbs but i need to get back into my writing groove somehow
(as a sidenote, i'm worried some of these might be ooc? i sincerely apologise if they are :( )
RIDDLE honestly doesn't know what to do with himself. He never really got the comfort he needed whenever he cried as a child so he had no idea how to comfort you now. He scolds himself internally for not immediately acting and just kind of freezing up beside you so he panics and tries to recall of all the times he saw someone else comforting others in order to end the extremely awkward tension as quickly as possible. He pats your back somewhat rigidly and says "There, there." In an all too awkward manner. You're caught off guard so hard by the sheer akwardness of Riddle's comfort technique that you burst out laughing, troubling Riddle even further. "W...Why are you laughing now?" The dumbfounded expression on his face is the perfect medicine for forgetting your troubles just now. Riddle unintentionally just cheered you up. After the incident, he seemingly becomes less strict with you and starts asking about how you're doing umprompted, which always pleasantly surprises you. Sometimes, Trey even shows up at Ramshackle dorm, holding a tart of your favourite flavour and saying he got orders from Riddle to deliver it to you.
VIL drops his usual strict nature for a bit. Of all people, he would be the one who could tell you were constantly acting strong and unbothered by everything going on around you. He thought of it equal parts admirable as he did foolish. Such intense emotion is not something to keep bottled up inside you and you made him realise that. His expression is surprisingly soft as he places one arm on your back, gently stroking it. He talks you through your feelings with a big sense of maturity and care and you're suprised by just how much he cares for you and your feelings. You don't exactly get that same impression when he's scolding you for not sitting straight or not wearing your uniform properly... regardless, you're very thankful for his words, even the harsher ones about needing to tell someone about things like this. "Tell me, if you must. I will always listen." After the incident, nothing much changes, really. Atleast from the perspective of others. He still gets on your case for not wearing your uniform properly, but he also asks about how you're doing when he gets the chance and does not accept simply "fine" or "okay" for an answer. You simply must elaborate why that is.
KALIM enters big brother mode. He's comforted crying siblings for various reasons before so what makes you any different? He gives you a tight hug, gently rubbing your back and trying to cheer you up with comforting phrases. He'd also try making jokes you to cheer you up and the puns are so bad you might as well start laughing. He didn't even start asking what's wrong but instead waited for you to tell him yourself. He surprised you with how mature (or perhaps just experienced) he is when it comes to crying people. You feel much better even only after a few minutes and you ask Kalim how you can thank him for hearing you out. "Seeing you smile again is reward enough!" He replies and you feel like crying again (but this time not from sadness or stress). After that incident, he always personally invites you to Scarabia parties, hoping they might inject a little joy in your life and keep your mind off things. If you're not a fan of parties, he takes you on carpet rides around the dorm instead.
MALLEUS is shocked into silence. You were smiling at him as sweetly as you always do just a moment ago... He knows how to comfort someone in theory, but now that he has to put it into practice, it feels like he's forgotten everything. He needs to show you that you can rely on him when it comes to your comfort, and that includes crying around him. This might just be one of the most heartbreaking sights he's ever had the displeasure of witnessing. He vows to himself that he never wishes to see you cry again (unless it's at your wedding) and would do anything to prevent it. He wordlessly pulls you into a secure hug, worried that if he does anything else, you might start crying even more. You hug him back and just sob in his arms, thankful for his warm embrace. "It will all be okay, child of man. I'm here, after all." And somehow, you can't help but trust those words with every fiber of your being. After the incident, Malleus ends up confessing what happened to Lilia and Lilia goes into one of those "Oh, how my baby has grown..." rants. But he also does say that Malleus should start inviting you to new places to keep your mind off things and help you let loose. So he does just that, with an added sprinkle of gargoyle-hunting and gargoyle facts. You're now very well educated about gargoyles lol.

THE AIR in Jo’s family home feels warmer than she remembers, thick with the lazy ease of summer afternoons in Boston. She’s sprawled out on the couch in the living room, half in Asher’s lap, her back pressed against his chest. The TV hums in the background, some half-forgotten show playing on low volume, but neither of them is paying much attention to it. Instead, their focus is on Mia, Jo’s eight-year-old little sister, who’s commanding the room as she rehearses her dance routine.
The house feels bigger than it ever does when Jo’s parents are home, their absence leaving behind a peculiar stillness that’s only occasionally interrupted by Mia’s bursts of energy. Her parents are celebrating their anniversary weekend in Maine, indulging in some much-deserved quiet while leaving Jo in charge of their youngest child. Jo doesn’t mind; after all, it’s July—her off-month—and she’s back in Boston for a brief stint of home-cooked meals and family chaos before heading back to Storrs in August. Babysitting Mia, however, is proving to be a full-time job in itself—which Jo probably should’ve expected.
Mia’s energy is endless. Right now, she’s twirling and leaping across the living room, her movements surprisingly precise for a kid her age. She’s dressed in a sparkly leotard and pink tights, her hair tied in an elaborate bun she’d made Jo do before this—because, well, if Jo is good for anything, it’s doing hair. During summer sessions, half the team made her do their braids before practice—Paige especially, the blonde hopeless at doing her own—and Jo knows it’ll only get worse when the season starts up.
Jo tries to keep a watchful eye on her sister, but she can’t help but be distracted by her boyfriend. He’s absentmindedly tracing small circles across the middle of her thigh, and she can feel his heart beating against her back. When she glances up at him, she can’t help but grin at the softness of his smile as he claps along with Mia’s haphazard twirls, the way he leans into the couch—into Jo—like he belongs here. Which, he does. He always has.
“Joey!” Mia calls, her voice sharp and commanding for an eight-year-old. She pauses mid-spin to put her hands on her hips, her small frame vibrating with indignation. “You’re not watching!”
Jo blinks, pulling herself out of her thoughts. “I am watching,” she defends, though it’s not quite true. She sits up a little straighter against Asher, nudging him as if to say help me out here. “You’re doing great, Mia. Keep going.”
Mia narrows her eyes, clearly unconvinced. “Ugh,” she groans, glaring at her older sister. “Payton always gives me better advice. You just say, ‘good job.’ That’s not going to help if I want to be the best dancer in the entire world, Jo!”
Jo exchanges a look with Asher, who’s barely holding back a laugh. Payton, Jo and Mia’s older sister, is a professional dancer living in New York City—a career Mia idolizes. Unlike Jo, who’s spent her life on the basketball court, Payton is everything Mis wants to be: graceful, disciplined, and impossibly good at pirouettes. It’s a path Jo has no interest in, which is probably why Mia constantly reminds her she’s the least qualified coach in the family.
“Well, yeah,” Jo says with a shrug. “Payton’s a pro. She’s, like, me in basketball but with dance. I’m just here to cheer you on, don’t really know what to tell you’s right or wrong, Mimi.”
Mia just groans again, even more dramatic this time, launching into another leap across the floor. Asher leans closer to Jo, his lips brushing against her ear as he drops his voice to a whisper. “Tough crowd.”
Jo snorts softly. “You have no idea,” she murmurs back.
Mia finishes her routine with a fluoride, throwing one arm in the air as if she’s just landed a gold medal-winning move at the Olympics. Asher claps loudly, a grin inching across his face. “Amazing, Mee!” he says enthusiastically, though he’d say that even if her performance was outright awful. “You’re getting even better than Payton, I think.”
For once, Mia doesn’t respond with her usual sass. Typically, when it comes to Asher, Mia’s either teasingly threatening him or biting at him or calling him funny names—she’s a menace child if Jo’s ever met one. But instead, Mia actually smiles at the boy, her cheeks flushed pink from exertion. “Thanks,” she says cheerfully, and Jo stares at her in disbelief.
“Wow,” the point guard says, raising an eyebrow, impressed. “You smiled at him. And thanked him. I think that’s a first.”
“Progress,” Asher claims, smiling broadly down at Jo.
Mia, on the other hand, sticks her tongue out at her older sister before collapsing onto the rug, sighing dramatically. “I’m exhausted. Someone get me a glass of water.”
“Get one yourself,” Jo tells her, already pulling out her phone. She scrolls through her notifications lazily, her thumb pausing when Paige’s name lights up her screen.
PB 😱😱
Got a nike event in Boston tmrw morning
Soooo we’re hanging out after
No negotiations
Jo’s lips twitch into a smile.
Ma freshie 💘
obviously
what time?
Paige replies almost instantly.
PB 😱😱
Like noon?
Don’t bail jojo
Jo shakes her head, rolling her eyes to herself. Paige never fails to amuse.
Asher, whose chin is now pressed against Jo’s hair, his gaze on her text. He asks, “So, you and her are really tight now, huh?”
Jo shrugs, because, well, kinda, duh. “I mean, we do live together,” she says, as if that explains everything.
“Yeah, but she’s Bueckers,” he replies, saying her name like it means something. Which, even though Paige would say it doesn’t, it totally does. “That’s a huge deal. She’s, like, insane on the court. Seen all the highlights.”
Jo doesn’t respond immediately. Instead, she lets her mind wander to the past month and a half—the morning runs, the late-night shooting, the quiet moments in their shared apartment, the not-so-quiet playful bickering. Paige isn’t just her teammate or her roommate. She’s… something else entirely. Someone Jo can’t quite put into words—an enigma, maybe. “She’s just Paige,” Jo murmurs finally, her voice softer now.
Asher grins. “I’ve gotta meet her sometime. Best introduce me soon, Jo.”
“You’ll like her,” she replies, confidence threading her voice. She can already picture how Paige would probably charm the hell out of him without even trying—she does it to everyone, after all. “She’s… yeah, she’s cool.”
From the rug, Mia sits up suddenly, as if she’s finally hearing the conversation, her curiosity clearly piqued. “Who’s Paige?”
Jo blinks at her. “My roommate,” she responds simply. “You knew that.”
“And teammate,” Asher adds.
“She knew that, too.”
Mia crosses her arms, her tone all business now, ignoring Jo’s last comment. “Is she nice?”
“Yeah,” Jo answers easily. “She’s great. Super chill, really funny.”
“Is she good at basketball?” Mia fired back.
Jo grins. “One of the best.”
“Bet she’s better than you.”
Jo throws one of the throw pillows on the couch at her sister’s head. “Shut up, Mia.”
Mia just giggles, dodging the pillow with ease. Asher laughs, shaking his head as he watches the two sisters bicker, more than familiar with it.
For all her teasing, Jo can’t shake the warm, almost buzzing feeling in her chest. She’s excited to see Paige tomorrow. For reasons she can’t explain, she’s missed her a lot these past couple weeks they’ve been away from campus. It’s probably just because going from basically spending every waking minute with one another to none at all is a little odd.
Probably.
THE JULY sun beats down on Boston, and Paige feels it’s warmth seeping into her skin as she walks along the tree-lined streets near the Commons. The Nike event she attended this morning went off without a hitch, just a casual appearance with some photos and a couple clips filmed that they’ll probably put into an add. But now, she’s got the rest of the day free. The thought makes her grin as she thumbs out a quick text to Jo.
PB 😱😱
All done 😊😊
Where u at?
It takes Jo less than a minute for Jo to reply, sending a pin for a location that’s about a half mile away. Paige starts walking, but a follow-up text rings before she’s even crossed the street.
Ma freshie 💘
mia and i are by the ice cream shop
hurry pls, she’s losing her mind
The next message is a picture of Mia making a ridiculous face, her lips twisted and one eye squinting in mock disgust. Paige snorts out a laugh right there on the sidewalk, the noise starts ling a couple walking by. She doesn’t care, though. The kid already seems like a riot, and Paige is oddly excited to meet her.
The stories Jo’s told her about Mia over the past month and a half come rushing back: the eight-year-old’s uncanny ability to get under people’s skin, her endless energy, and her knack for saying the wildest things at the worst times. Paige has been looking forward to meeting her, though she’s still not sure if it’s because she’s genuinely curious about the so-called “demon child” or if she just wants to see Jo in full big-sister mode.
When Paige rounds the final corner, she spots them immediately. Jo is standing near a brightly colored ice cream shop, her arms crossed, her face pinched in annoyance as she talks to a smaller figure—Mia, presumably. Mia, on the other hand, looks completely unbothered, her tiny hands on her hips as she talks back with the kind of confidence that only a sassy little girl could muster.
Paige slows her steps, taking in the scene with a grin tugging at her lips. Jo’s wearing a simple outfit—ripped jean shorts that show off her long legs, a tightly-fitted white tube top, and a Red Sox cap pulled low over her face. It’s casual, but there’s something about the way she looks so effortlessly good in it that makes Paige pause for half a second longer than she should.
Her stomach dips unexpectedly, and Paige frowns to herself. Relax.
Still, as Paige approaches, she can’t help but notice the way Jo’s tan skin seems to glow under the sun, how smooth her legs look. Paige shakes her head, forcing her thoughts back on track. Because, seriously, the fuck is she even thinking about?
Clearing her throat, Paige makes her presence known. Jo turns, her annoyed expression instantly replaced by something brighter—her eyes lighting up, a wide grin spreading across her face.
“Hey, JoJo,” Paige greets teasingly, the nickname rolling off her tongue before she can stop it.
Jo’s grin falters for half a second, and she seats Paige’s arm lightly. “Quit calling me that.”
Paige smirks. “Nah.”
Before Jo can retort, Mia steps forward, her curious gaze fixed on Paige. The little girl is smaller than Paige expected, with a mop of dark curls and big brown eyes that seem to take in everything. Paige crouches down to her level, offering a hand.
“And you must be Mia,” she says warmly. “I’m Paige.”
Mia doesn’t take her hand right away. Instead, she gives Paige a long, exaggerated once-over, her gaze hard as she studies her. The blonde tries not to fidget, but it’s hard under the little girl’s piercing eyes. Jo wasn’t kidding; Mia’s got this quiet intensity that’s a little intimidating, even if she’s only eight-year-old and Paige is twenty.
Finally, Mia breaks into a grin and giggles as she takes Paige’s hand. “Hi,” she says, her voice lilting.
Paige relaxes, smiling back easily. “It’s nice to finally meet you. I’ve heard lots about you.”
Mia tilts her head. “From Jo?”
“Yeah,” Paige remixes with a grin. “She talks about you all the time.”
Mia beams at this, clearly pleased, while Jo mutters something under her breath that Paige doesn’t catch.
Paige chuckles a little as she stands. “Sooo, ice cream, right?” she asks.
Mia’s eyes light up and she grabs Paige’s hand like she’s known her her whole life rather than a minute or two. “Yes! Best ice cream in Boston!”
Jo snorts, falling into step beside them, shoulder brushing against Paige’s lightly. “She says that about every ice cream place we go to,” she mumbles, though there’s an undeniable softness in her tone.
“It is the best,” Mia insist, her voice full of conviction.
Paige grins. “Guess I’ll have to see for myself.”
The moment they step inside the ice cream shop, Paige is hit with a wave of sugary air and the sound of chatter. It’s buzzing in here, bigger and more crowded than she expected, almost every table occupied, with kids laughing, parents corralling them. The line snakes almost to the door, and Paige glances down at Mia, who’s still clutching her hand tightly.
“Looks like this place is the best,” Paige observes, smiling down at the little girl. Mia beams back up at her, her cheeks flushed with excitement.
“Told you!” she chirps, voice triumphant.
Paige can’t help but laugh softly. She glances over at Jo, who’s scanning the menu above the counter. The sunlight streaming through the shop window catches on the stray wisps of Jo’s hair that escape from under her Red Sox cap. Paige tries not to let her eyes linger too long on the curve of Jo’s jawline or the way her tube top leaves the expanse of her collarbones and neck exposed.
Jesus Christ, she doesn’t know what’s wrong with herself today.
The line moves slowly, but Paige doesn’t mind. Mia fills the time with a steady stream of chatter, never letting go of the blonde. She tells her about her favorite ice cream flavor (superman), her least favorite vegetables (brussel sprouts), and their family dogs (a dachshund named Dory and a golden retriever named Murph).
Paige listens attentively, nodding and laughing at all the right moments. She’s used to this—her own siblings are just as chatty, and she’s always been good at humoring them. There’s something comforting about Mia’s unfiltered enthusiasm; it reminds Paige of home in a way that makes her chest ache just a little.
As they inch closer to the counter, the line passes by a display of candy shelves, and that’s when it happens. Mia freezes mid-sentence, her eyes locking into something with the kind of laser focus that only a kid ready for a sugar high can muster.
“Oh my gosh,” Mia breaths, pointing to a massive rainbow-swirled lollipop almost as big as her head. She finally removes her hand from Paige’s to start tugging at Jo, begging, “Joey, please, please, can I get it? Please?”
Paige blinks a little at the nickname. Joey. She’s never heard anyone call Jo that before—she thought the only one she had was the one she hates that the whole team’s started using for her (JoJo). But Paige thinks Joey’s cute. In fact, she files it away in the back of her mind.
“No. Definitely not,” Jo says immediately, shaking her head down at Mia.
Mia’s face scrunches up in exaggerated disbelief. “What? Why?”
Paige glances between them, finally seeing what Jo meant about Mia being a demon child. The girl’s dramatic flair is something else entirely.
Jo sighs heavily. “Because the last time we were here, Mom bought you one, and you threw it up on the way home. It was gross, Mia.”
“It wasn’t that bad,” Mia whines, still eyeing the lollipop like it’s the holy grail.
“It was that bad,” Jo counters.
“But it tasted sooo good,” Mia insists, dragging out the words as she tugs at Jo’s arm again.
Jo raises an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. “Did it taste good when it came back up?”
Mia stops short, her small face scrunching up in thought. The gears are clearly turning in her head as she considers this. And just as suddenly as the argument started, Mia lets out a resigned sigh and steps away from the candy display.
“Fine,” she mumbles, sounding defeated.
Jo smiles to herself, clearly pleased, and Paige has to bite back a laugh at the entire sibling interaction.
“Nice save,” she says under her breath, leaning slightly toward Jo as they start moving forward in line again.
Jo glances at her, their faces closer than usual, though she doesn’t seem to notice. Her smile just widens as she responds, “You learn a few tricks when you’ve been stuck around her for eight years.”
Paige chuckles softly, watching Mia bound up to the counter like she’s on a mission, finally their turn to order. The little girl presses her hands against the glass case, scanning the vibrant tubs of ice cream with a dramatic level of intensity.
“I want Superman!” Mia declares, her voice brimming with excitement as she points at the swirled red, yellow, and blue ice cream.
“Please,” Jo adds, giving the employee a small, apologetic smile as she nudges Mia’s arm, giving her that older sister look that Paige can tell means—use your manners. The worker scoops a generous amount of the ice cream into a cup and hands it over the counter. Mia accepts it like it’s a trophy, her eyes and grin wide as ever.
“Can I just have a scoop of cotton candy, please?” Jo asks, her turn now, her voice casual like she’s not about to commit a culinary crime.
Paige can’t help but scrunch up her nose at the brunette’s order. Nasty. She doesn’t say anything—yet—but she stores the information away for later mockery. The worker hands Jo her cone, a garishly bright pink and blue swirl that makes Paige wince just looking at it.
When it’s Paige’s turn, she doesn’t even hesitate, ordering mint chip—her absolute favorite.
They pay quickly, before stepping outside into the warm air, each armed with their chosen flavor. Mia’s already half-covered in Superman ice cream and Jo has her head tilted slightly to avoid dripping the cotton candy monstrosity in her hand.
Paige glances at Jo’s cone and makes a face. “Cotton candy is crazy work,” she tells her, incredulous.
Jo raises an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. “What’s wrong with cotton candy?”
“Everything,” Paige answers, gesturing at the cone like it’s personally offended her. “It’s basically sugar-flavored-sugar. It doesn’t even taste like real cotton candy. It’s just—” She shudders dramatically.
Jo narrows her eyes at Paige’s cone in retaliation. “Says the person eating frozen toothpaste.”
Paige gasps, her hand flying to her chest in mock indignation. “Excuse me, mint chip is a classic. It’s refreshing. It’s balanced. It’s—”
“Minty,” Jo interrupts, wrinkling her nose. “Which is gross.”
“It’s not gross! You’re gross,” Paige fires back, grinning despite herself.
Mia, who’s been watching the exchange with wide eyes, suddenly pipes up. “Okay, I’ll decide!” she declares. She scoops up some of her Superman ice cream for good measure before pointing her tiny spoon at Jo’s cone. “Joey, let me try yours first.”
Jo bends down slightly to hold out her cone, and Mia takes a small bite. She lets it melt in her mouth, her face scrunching up like she’s debating a complex equation. Finally, she nods. “It’s okay,” she says, though she doesn’t look thrilled.
Jo looks affronted. “Just okay?”
Mia shrugs nonchalantly before turning to Paige. “Now yours!”
Paige kneels slightly to hold out her cone. Mia eyes it suspiciously. “Why is it green?” she asks, sounding almost fearful.
“Don’t worry ‘bout the color,” Paige tells her, waving off the question. “It’s good. Trust.”
Mia hesitates for a second longer before scooping up a tiny bite. She puts it in her mouth, and her face goes still. For a moment, Paige wonders if she’s about to spit it out, but then Mia’s eyes light up.
“This. Is. So. Good!” the eight-year-old squeals, practically bouncing in place.
Paige grins, holding out her hand for a high five. “Told you. Welcome to the winning team.”
Mia smacks her hand enthusiastically, ice cream forgotten for a moment. Jo, however, is standing off to the side, arms crossed and pouting like a kid who just lost her favorite game. Paige glances at her and immediately starts laughing.
“Oh, don’t be mad,” she teases, nudging Jo’s arm.
“She’s supposed to be on my side!” Jo grumbles, glaring halfheartedly at Mia. “I’m your sister!”
Mia sticks her tongue out at her, clearly unbothered. “You’re just mad because you have bad taste.”
Paige nearly chokes on her ice cream, laughing so hard she has to steady herself against a bench they’re stood next to. “Dang, Mia!”
Jo shakes her head, though the corner of her mouth twitches upward in a reluctant smile. “You’re lucky you’re cute, you little menace,” she mumbles, ruffling Mia’s hair.
Mia slaps her hand away from her head, beginning to bicker with Jo. Paige watches, quiet now as she bites into her cone. She finds herself unable to look away, a strange warmth blooming in her chest.
See, whatever that is, has to go. She doesn’t like it, doesn’t know what it is, doesn’t understand it in the slightest.
It just—has to go.
THE LIVING ROOM feels cozy in a way that Paige hasn’t experienced in a long time. It’s not her home, not her couch, not her family, but something about it wraps around her, soft and warm. The overhead light is off, leaving the room bathed in the dim glow of the TV. Colors flicker against the walls, shapes shifting across the furniture. Paige doesn’t know what movie is playing—something animated, she thinks—but it’s barely background noise at this point.
Jo sits a few feet away, her back against the armrest of the couch, one leg stretched out, the other bent slightly. Mia’s curled up fast asleep in her lap, her little head tucked under Jo’s arm, one of Jo’s hands running lazily through the little girl’s hair. The motion is slow and deliberate, like second nature, and it’s strangely captivating. Paige finds herself staring, watching the way Jo’s fingers disappear into soft brown curls, touch gentle.
Paige hadn’t planned to stay this long. After Mia had declared mint chip her new favorite ice cream and told Paige she could officially call her Mimi—a nickname that only her absolute favorite people can use—they’d hung out all day, walking around the Commons, then shopping, then getting dinner. After that, they were meant to depart, Jo and Mia going home, and Paige going back to her hotel. But then Mia had looked up at her with those big, pleading eyes, practically begging Paige to come back and watch a movie with them. And Paige is terrible at saying no to kids.
So, she came home with them, to their house which sits right on the outline of the city. The house isn’t massive, but it’s nice—nice enough for Paige to have faintly wondered how much money Jo’s parents make. But it’s still welcoming and cozy, and Paige feels comfortable here. She also likes that she’s got to see all the photos around—the ones of Jo when she was little, some more recent ones that Paige can guess are apart of her senior photos, and a couple of her with her sisters.
The only one that she didn’t enjoy seeing was that one. A nicely framed picture of Jo and her boyfriend sitting on the shelf directly to Paige’s right. They look happy in it. Too happy, in Paige’s opinion, though she doesn’t know why it bothers her so much. Maybe she’s got some sort of jealousy deep down in the part of her heart where her commitment issues aren’t veined around, an envy toward a stable relationship like that. But either way, there’s no reason for her to care. And yet, she doesn’t like it.
Paige shakes the thought away, focusing instead on the conversation. She and Jo have been talking quietly since Mia fell asleep, their voices hushed but easy. It reminds Paige of late nights back at their shared apartment on campus, how they’ll end up in the kitchen at the same time and somehow talk for hours without meaning to. Paige likes those moments more than she’ll ever admit, and this feels no different.
Their conversation drifts, flowing naturally, until Jo starts talking about her sisters. “I admire them, you know,” she says softly, her hand still moving through Mia’s hair. “Payton, especially. She’s… well, she’s incredible. Mia thinks she walks on water, and honestly, sometimes I do, too.”
Paige tilts her head, curious. Jo’s voice has a different quality now—still soft, but there’s something else underneath it. Not sadness exactly, but something close. “What about you?” Paige asks. “You’re incredible, too. And Mia clearly adores you.”
Jo smiles, but—for once—it doesn’t quite reach her eyes. “Yeah, but it’s different. Payton’s a dancer—like, a real dancer. She’s in New York City, with the ballet there. And that’s what Mia loves. That’s what they both love. And, y’know, they connect over it. It’s dance; it’s their thing.”
Paige frowns, the words sinking in. Jo rarely talks like this. She’s always so happy, so upbeat, so wrapped in sunshine that Paige sometimes forgets there might be anything else underneath. “You don’t feel connected to them?” she asks, her voice a little quieter now.
Jo hesitates, her hand pausing in Mia’s hair for just a second before continuing. “Not really,” she admits. “I mean, I love them, obviously. But… it’s hard sometimes. I’ve always been the odd one out, you know? The one who plays basketball while they dance. Sometimes it just feels like we’re on completely different planets.”
Paige doesn’t know what to say at first. She’s surprised—stupidly so, maybe, because she’s never considered Jo might feel this way. But, if she thinks about it, it makes sense.
“I get that,” the blonde finally says, soft but steady. “I mean, I’m so much older than my siblings that it’s hard to connect with them sometimes, too. But… for what it’s worth, I think you’re amazing. And I know Mia does too—whether she says it or not.”
Jo looks over at her then, and for a moment, Paige thinks she might forget how to breathe. There’s something in Jo’s eyes, something raw and unguarded, and it makes Paige’s chest feel tight. “Thanks,” Jo says quietly, barely a whisper.
The moment feels too heavy, too close, and Paige decides to lighten the mood. “So,” she says, changing the subject, her small smile curling into more of a smirk. “Mia calls you Joey?”
Jo’s smile returns, softer this time but more genuine. “Yeah. My whole family does. It’s a much better nickname than that JoJo Siwa shit y’all have come up with.”
Paige laughs, shaking her head. “Don’t shit on the JoJo nickname. It’s iconic.”
Jo raises an eyebrow, her smile turning teasing. “Iconically bad,” she corrects.
“Okay, fine,” Paige says, pretending to think. “But I like Joey more, too. It’s cute. Maybe I’ll start calling you that instead.”
Jo shrugs, but her smile widens just a little. “Anything’s better than JoJo.”
Paige grins, leaning back into the couch, though—for whatever reason—her heart starts thumping a little faster. She doesn’t know why she feels the way she does around Jo sometimes—why moments like this stick with her longer than they probably should. But for now, she doesn’t let herself think about it too much. Instead, she lets herself enjoy the quiet, the warmth of the room, and the easy rhythm of their conversation.

Can I make a request for dilf!JakexFemale! Omatikaya!reader?
While Neytiri is out hunting with the kids, jake makes his way to readers hut. And let’s just say reader is shorter than Neytiri so size kinkkkk🤭
Guilty Pleasure
MDNI!🔞
Pairing: Dilf!Jake!Sully x Fem!Omatikaya!Reader
Warnings/content: SMUT, jake cheating(sorry Neytiri), size kink, stalking/obsessing, some roughness/power over reader, oral/face sitting (Jake being a pussy eating king), p in v, cream pie, dirty talk, a sprinkle of angst at the end
W/c: 3.2k (holy shit-)
A/n: thank you for this request anon!!💖 I am a SUCKERRRR for dilf Jake! I got a lil carried away heheh but I hope y’all enjoy this! Comments, likes, and reblogs are SO appreciated! Muah 😘
“We will see you later, ma’Jake,” Neytiri sweetly said while motioning for the kids to go out of the hut, holding up the flap of fabric for them to walk by. Neteyam and Lo’ak went first, throwing a hand up and bidding a short “Bye, dad,” with their bows in hand.
“Come with us daddd!” Tuk whined and ran up and clung to his side. He chuckled at her.
“I’d love to, kiddo, but I gotta take care of something. Ya know, all my boring adult responsibilities,” He smiled gently.
She frowned up at him but had no choice but to accept he wasn’t coming.
“Bring me back a big ‘angtsìk(hammerhead titanothere)!” He joked while bending over and ruffling her short braids in an attempt to cheer her up. She giggled at his absurd request and ran off to catch up with Lo’ak and Neteyam.
Kiri came moping out and rolling her eyes like usual, she was not excited that she was being forced to go hunt with them. It just wasn’t her thing. She gave Jake a quick “Bye” and walked out without looking at him.
“I love you too!” He laughed, “You’ll do great!” He cupped his mouth and shouted to her. She looked over her shoulder and couldn’t suppress her small little grin of amusement. She pretty much always blatantly disrespected him but he loved her to death.
Neytiri smiled one last time at him before ducking under the flap, following her kids to go off to their hunt.
Jake’s smile faded from his face once they were out of sight.
He had a lovely wife and an amazing family—everything he could ever want and dream for. But unfortunately for him, his heart yearned for someone else. Someone who occupied his thoughts day-in and day-out, consuming his entire being.
He started to resent you for how bad he wanted you. But how could he blame you? You’ve done nothing. Nothing but just be utterly and effortlessly perfect. He felt like you casted a spell on him, damning him to be desperate for you. You were quite the sight to see; young and beautiful in all your glory. He could worship your body all day— the stunning curves of your hips and the rounding of your breasts. You were short in stature, not tawtute short but very much on the short side for a na’vi girl. But that just made Jake be drawn to you even more. During his endless daydreams involving you, he would have some particular thoughts of you. Images flooded his mind of getting to manhandle you around. He was bulkier than the average na’vi due to the combination of his human DNA, so he had no doubt in his mind he could toss you around effortlessly in several different positions. He also inevitably thought about how much tighter your smaller pussy probably was. And fuck, it wasn’t just your stunning appearance— it was also the way you were so damn sweet and compassionate to others. You never did anything wrong, it was like you really were perfect.
He longed to touch you and pleasure you, he would die a happy man if he could just watch you cum for him. It wasn’t even that he wanted the pleasure for himself, more than anything he wanted to pleasure you. So many scenarios have ran through his mind of imagining how your pretty face would scrunch up as an orgasm wracked through your petite body. He felt like he was loosing his mind, he hasn’t had this many vulgar, horny thoughts constantly since he was probably 17. It was like you made him young again. He wanted to show you how good he could make you feel. After all, he was experienced. Whether it was keeping Neytiri’s needs satisfied or previous lessons from his sexual partners back on earth, he’s learned a thing or two over time. He wondered if you’ve let any of the omatikaya boys fuck you. He hoped not, but he was sure they were all throwing themselves at your feet. I mean who the hell wouldn’t?
Jake had been stalking you for quite some time now. He pretty much had your daily schedule memorized and he’s even learned all your little mannerisms. Like how you looked down at the ground when you laughed, or how you quietly hummed to yourself when you were weaving. Sometimes throughout the day you would make eye contact when passing by each other. He noticed you would give him a little smile. It was like you knew you were torturing him.
But watching you from a distance and stalking you wasn’t cutting the mustard anymore for him. Sure, it satisfied the itch at first but it left him only wanting more. And stroking his cock to you felt good, but not as good as your soft, dainty hand would feel doing it.
He knew Neytiri was taking the kids hunting today to let them practice. And at this time of day, you were usually in your hut. He decided there wouldn’t be a more perfect time than now to approach you. He couldn’t let this keep eating him alive, he had to do something about it. So, he gathered up the courage to start his way over to you.
…
You were in your hut, cooling off a little. It was a hot, sunny day in Pandora and you always take a midday break around this time. Right before you were going to sit down, you seen a figure in your peripheral vision. It was… Jake?
“Jake.. I-I wasn’t expecting to see you here,” you stuttered and shifted to face him respectfully, caught off guard by your leader entering your hut. “Is something wrong?”
He stood confidently, almost like he owned the place— I mean he was the Olo’eyktan. Which was why you felt concerned and surprised to see him, surely it must be something important if he took the time to come here.
He surveyed you as you stuttered and slightly fidgeted with a hint of amusement in his eyes. His piercing gaze burned right through you, making you feel small and embarrassed. But he was the one coming into your home, so why were your cheeks heating up in embarrassment?
He finally broke the silence and breathed out a sigh. “Yeah, I’m afraid something is wrong,” he spoke with that low, sultry voice of his and once again burned holes into you with his eyes. He took slow steps towards you, casually.
Your heart dropped to your stomach and the blood left your face. “W-What is it? I’m sorry if I’ve done something wrong, sir-“
“Don’t play dumb and innocent. You know exactly what it is.” He cut you off sharply.
You were taken aback, eyes widening in offense. “Excuse me?” You scoffed.
He kept inching closer and closer to you and you backed up in return, scowling at him. But unfortunately you backed up against the wall, having no more room to back up.
He was eyeing you down fiercely, power and authority exuding from his aura. But you weren’t a pushover, and you gave it your best effort at holding his eyes and not cowering.
He swiftly grabbed your wrist and shoved your hand on his hard erection covered by his loincloth. You gasped, once more taken aback.
“Understand?” He quipped.
You snatched your hand back and hissed at him. You were unable to form any words, so shocked at this predicament. Your scowl deepened and your breathing picked up, feeling the intensity in the atmosphere.
He let out a single chuckle of disbelief and shook his head.
“You do this to me. It’s your fault” he snapped, “You’ve been torturing me night and day and you know it” he accused with his pointer finger in your face.
Your mouth dropped a little, eyebrows scrunched in anger. “What?? I’ve done nothing! You’re fucking crazy!”
“You are such a little brat. Sounds like you need that attitude fucked out of you,”
You couldn’t help the coil that twisted in your stomach to his words. The obscenity of them made your body react with a mind of its own. Slick trickled out of your hole, making a little wet patch in your cloth.
His nose twitched and he grinned menacingly at your new smell of arousal. “Is that right? The lil’ slut needs her pussy stuffed with cock?”
Your cheeks heated up, making a purplish color on your face. You were losing this battle quickly. You blamed your body for betraying you so shamefully.
“Fuck you!” You finally said. It was your last attempt at trying to get the upper hand.
“Yeah,” he laughed, “That’s the plan.”
You scoffed again, still trying to make it seem like he was crazy and you didn’t want this. But in reality, you don’t think anything has ever piqued your interest more.
He put his fingers inside the band of your loincloth, tickling the soft area below your belly. Your heart thudded hard inside your chest and more waves of arousal coursed through you.
He slowly and lightly teased the area, making your breath hitch slightly.
“Not stopping me, I see,” he quietly mocked.
Your let your eyes fall to his chest which was right in front of you. You didn’t want to see the smug grin on his face.
“Now what if I touch your little pussy? Is she gonna blow your cover?” He taunted some more. You swallowed roughly as his fingers traced further and further down into your cloth until he got to your soaked cunt.
He ran a finger up your slit, eyes dilating as he basked in the incredible feeling of your slick pussy. Your legs parted on their own, giving him easier access and you whined softly, leaning your head back against the wall.
“Fuck…” he breathed out, seemingly losing his control.
Your half lidded eyes met his again as he ran his fingers through your folds. You knew you were at the point of no return.
“Please..” you mewled quietly.
Trying to regain control of the situation, he straightened up and cleared his throat, still continuing his touching. “Oh so the brat has manners now?”
“Mhmm” you hummed shamelessly, pride be damned.
He licked his lips and looked down at your pretty lips, just waiting to be kissed. But he had other things in mind.
He yanked down your loincloth and it fell to your ankles then you kicked it aside. Then suddenly he knelt down and hitched one of your legs over his muscular shoulder, much to your surprise. You gasped hard at the first stroke of his tongue on your pussy lips.
“Oh!” You cried
You grabbed his dreads for support because your knees already felt weak. Looking down at him, the sight was purely sinful. He lapped, licked, sucked, and kissed all over your cunt, slurping up all your juices and making a complete mess on his face. He hummed and moaned on it, creating vibrations which elevated your pleasure.
He pulled back only for a second, your juices falling down his chin and painting his blue skin with white and clear shimmer. “You taste so fucking sweet, even better than I imagined,” he groaned in near disbelief. Then he continued working his mouth on your pussy.
You felt so good, feeling the most ecstasy you’ve ever felt. You’ve had a few partners and of course masturbate when needed but nothing and nobody has ever felt like this. He knew exactly where to go and how much pressure to apply and suck at.
He stuck a finger in your hole while he continued lapping on your clit. You moaned and fought to keep yourself standing up. He caught onto your struggle and swiftly moved to reposition you both. He laid himself back against the ground and had his hands hooked around you, bringing you down with him to then plop you right on his face.
Sitting on his face was much more comfortable and you tried to hold yourself up to hover some, but he grabbed your ass and pushed all your weight down on him. You switched between watching him do his thing and throwing your head back, closing your eyes and welcoming all the sensations. All his sounds were muffled but looking behind you and seeing his still rock hard erection and watching his feet curl and his legs dance around told you that he was very much enjoying himself.
You knew your orgasm was about to come. The pleasure was coming to a peak and you relaxed and let it happen. You came with a loud and drawn out moan, thighs shaking from the intensity. His humming got louder as he licked up all your essence, drawing out your high but letting off before you got overstimulated.
You rose off and scooted back a little to sit on his chest, looking down at his absolutely soaked face.
“Holy fuck,” you breathed out roughly, trying to catch your breath, “you didn’t tell me you were a pussy eating expert”
He chuckled with that deep voice of his, making your pussy flutter. “You thought the old man wouldn’t know how to eat pussy? Baby girl I am very experienced,” he winked.
You rolled your eyes at his cockiness, trying not to smile. Before letting you fully catch your breath, he sat up and effortlessly carried you with him, you were like a little rag doll in his huge, bulky arms. He hung you over one of his shoulders, ass up in the air. He smacked it and you let out a little yelp of surprise and smacked his back in return.
“You are so tiny, ya know that?”
You rolled your eyes once again. “Yes, everyone loves telling me how short I am” you complained.
“Mhmm well I think it’s hot as fuck”
He set you down on the table and you were facing him, legs spread out and pussy on full display. His eyes drank in the sight of your most intimate part, being fully captivated by you. You then took the reigns and slipped off your skimpy top, leaving him even more speechless. You smirked in satisfaction at how pussy whipped he was already.
He didn’t fail to notice your shit-eating grin and quiet laugh. “Oh yeah? You won’t be laughing much longer,” he threatened while untying the strings of his loincloth, letting it fall to the floor.
And it did in fact shut you up. He was huge. Your jaw hung low like an idiot and he laughed at you.
“You’re not that big. I’ve had bigger.” You lied, trying to sound confident.
He narrowed his eyes and felt a pang of jealousy at the thought of someone else getting to fuck you. “That so? Well then you should have no problem taking me,” he taunted.
You were nervous about how it would hurt but you put on a brave face. You spread your legs wider and gave him doe eyes as an invitation to go ahead.
His bigger body hovered over your small frame as he positioned his cock at your entrance. He teased your folds and your opening, making you buck your hips up in an effort to get him inside of you. His cockhead breached into your hole and you gasped in unison. He was so thick and girthy, the stretch against your walls was one you’ve never experienced this intensely.
He sank in deeper, thrusting a little to help break it in. You winced and moaned but stayed relaxed and let him keep going. He finally bottomed out. Then pulled back and started thrusting.
Your eyes widened and your jaw fell slack. The drag against your walls and the pressure his dick provided on your cervix made you nearly see stars, clouding your vision in a bit of a haze.
“Mmmm!! ‘s so good!” You slurred drunkenly, choking on your moans and cries.
He grunted and moaned above you, keeping a steady rhythm as his balls slapped against your ass.
“Holy shit” he gritted between his teeth, slightly baring them at you while he got caught up in the passion. He squeezed his eyes shut and his head slumped down, hanging from between his shoulders. “You’re gonna make me cum too quick” he panted.
You moaned in response, loving how you were breaking him. He cupped both your tits and gave them a squeeze, edging both of you on more.
“More!! Please!” You didn’t really know what you were asking for but he seemed to know right away.
He pulled out quickly and swiftly flipped you over, pulling you from the hips to scooch your ass up against him. He entered you again easily and plunged all the way in making you moan loudly.
“Cum on this dick, baby,” he grunted as he then started a fast and hard pace, increasing it from the previous pace.
His dick was now reaching so far up into you and satisfying all your sweet spots. He was fucking into you like a bunny in heat, hiking up one of his legs and placing his foot on the table to have a better grasp on you and a better angle to fuck you.
“Fuckkkk!” You screamed, getting your cervix pounding into over and over again. You felt your walls convulsing around him and knew you were getting close.
He pushed your head down into the table, his enormous hand pretty much engulfing the entire size of your head. Your hair fell around your face and was scattered in a complete mess.
“Shit baby, you’re close, huh?” He groaned.
“Yesss! Don’t fucking stop!” You begged and whimpered.
And then you felt your coil snap. The waves of sweet release spread throughout your whole body. Your pussy’s grip on his dick tightened, making him cum right after you.
“Nghh- gonna fill you up” he moaned while still bringing your ass back to meet his hips, slowing down and milking out both your orgasms. His hot cum spurted into your womb, filling you up just like he said.
He finally stopped his slow thrusts and pulled out gently making you whine as you felt some of his cum seep out.
He stepped back to admire his work, taking a mental screenshot of your cream pied cunt. He used his thumb to gather what had dripped and pushed it back into you.
“Your pussy looks best with my cum in it,” he admired.
You rolled over to your side, completely exhausted. You looked at him expectantly, wanting him to lay with you now.
He got your message by the look in your face. “I’m sorry baby but I gotta leave now. As much as I’d rather be stuffed inside you, I gotta get back to my place before my-“ he paused, looking physically pained, “before my family gets back home.”
Of course, you thought to yourself, how the fuck could you forget? Guiltiness flooded your heart, making it physically ache for his wife and kids. You felt terrible. You never liked a homewrecker and now you were a complete hypocrite and felt like a whore.
“Yes, o-of course… I’m sorry,” you offered weakly.
He weakly smiled as a response, pain still in his eyes as the post-nut clarity washed over him and guiltiness attacked his conscious as well.
“I’ll see you later, y/n.” And with that he left your hut.

Soo umm maybe angsty request but a reader who works at the agency but misses her old life? Like, family or her old self. If you wanna and like the idea!! Have fun💕
i know this is a thousand yrs late and i am so sorry abt that but also. thank you for trusting me w this request i rlly took it to heart and i cracked these damn knuckles and hopefully wrote something you'll like :') i had fun, angel. MWAH.
- a little something about emotions and Dazai's way of perceiving yours ~
"Aughhh..."
You're groaning at your desk again, face down and resting your forehead on the cold wooden surface. Lately, it's been the same cycle. You come to work and the day goes by in a blink of an eye, and suddenly... There is nothing else to look forward to but to do it all again tomorrow. It's been tough, with the agency constantly bombarded with cases and quite literally saving the world, you've forgotten to call home every week like you used to. Now it's every other month, if at all.
There are times when you go on your lunch break and think about how ordinary your life used to be, how you used to spend your time doing the opposite of what you do now. Joining the agency was a wonderful turning point in your life and you wouldn't trade it for the world, but sometimes it felt like there was too much happening, you were falling behind and not connecting enough with the foundations that made you, you. It was an overstimulating nightmare.
Your co-workers were so talented and caring and it felt like a family with the way you all worked as a unit and watched out for each other, yet the intrusive thoughts about you never quite fitting in wouldn't leave your mind. Or your face, for that matter.
This is where Dazai knew he had to get involved.
He could tell your mind was elsewhere, and he hated that. You were supposed to be wherever he was, even if you didn't fully know it yet. He constantly perceived you from across the office where he slacked off work as usual, but this time it wasn't to await his next grand revelation... It was to figure out why you seemed so distant. So far, yet so close. You always laughed at his jokes and antics, all a part of his attention seeking persona around the agency, but he could hear the way your laugh seemed to die down in your throat as if it burned to even make a sound. He recognized it as the kind of burn whiskey left behind in his own throat when he had his occasional drinks at Lupin after a particularly hard day. Dazai knew the feeling of ruminating, of feeling stuck in the past and how it could keep you from existing in the present if not dealt with properly. But he wasn't exactly the shining example of dealing with one's feelings, not when he was a walking contradiction, which is why he hesitated to bring this up to you directly.
Of course, that didn't stop him from trying, not when you're groaning so adorably within earshot.
Not when he would do anything for you to drop that fastidious attitude that won't give him the proper time of day. It was pathetic and selfish of him, but it was sincere. With a fixed smile like a Cheshire cat, he prances towards your desk and stands there for a solid minute before you realize the familiar entity looming over you.
You slowly look up, dark under eyes are the first to properly greet him, along with that cute clip in your hair that's barely holding it all together. He thinks you look even cuter this way even if you were at your worst, and that made him feel a tad guilty... just a tad. He clears his throat softly as a deceptively cheerful voice pours out of him.
"Hi! You're looking awfully exhausted today."
You hum, a weak smile adorning your lips. You didn't want to smile at all, but it was a force of habit, so why not use it on the biggest clown you knew?
"Yeah? That's real observant of you, Dazai."
His heart races as you poke back, what a precious creature you were. He responds with faux indignance, rolling his eyes and the whole bit.
"Uh yeah, of course! It's why they pay me the big bucks, silly. You should try being like me sometime."
"Ah, is that the only thing I should try being? Not very original of me, I must say."
His smile drops to a more sly smirk as he shrugs, sighing dramatically while casting his gaze elsewhere for a moment.
You should try to be mine, he thinks to himself.
He doesn't deserve that honor, but it's the truth and he can always count on delusion.
"Eh, who cares about originality? That's what writers use as an excuse to torture themselves. It's no fun, You might as well jump off a bridge with me instead."
You raise an eyebrow at that, your fake smile becoming a bit more genuine now.
"I think I'll pass on that, Dazai."
He pouts, and you hate that he resembles a puppy with the way his eyes comically droop.
"Such a shame. I was hoping we could share that experience together. It would be quite the work bonding exercise, don't you think?~"
You nod, your voice laced with what he hopes is a playful retort, but it is much too deadpan.
"I'm sure it would."
"You know, you're surprisingly hard to torment."
You hum once more, shrugging as you look back down at the files on your desk, unable to hold his dark eyes that seem to penetrate your very soul.
"... Well I suppose I could say the same about you."
Before you know it, you feel his warm breath against your cheek, having leaned down to your level to murmur in your ear. It's velvety and far too intimate for the middle of the workday, tempting like the devil himself.
"Like I said, we could always drown our sorrows in the river. That always helps."
You slowly turn your head to meet his gaze, a slight flush begins to burn your cheeks and you wish you hadn't turned at all. It's sick the way every once in a while he'll test your boundaries to see if you'll let him in, if you'll see past the charm and the self destructive tendencies that might just seal his fate one day.
But you need him right now! And you clearly need a bit more of a push rather than just jokes, so he makes a point to grill you until you have no choice but to run into his hypothetical arms. In that instant, he catches your phone light up, the word 'MOM' is as clear as the red that spreads through your face.
Ah, so that's it.
"Seems like you should take that."
Your eyes widen as you flicker between him and your phone. Shit.
"Maybe later. I'm not really in the headspace for a call right now... Might go out for some lunch and get some air."
"I like air. Perhaps we can get some together? You might have too much and need someone to resuscitate you."
You snort softly and immediately feel embarrassed for being so casual out of your own human weakness. Yet somehow Dazai's ridiculous jokes always manage to get you to play along and forget that very embarrassment.
"CPR involves air, Dazai. You'd kill me in the process."
He clutches his chest, letting out a dreamy breath.
"Ahhh. Romantic, don't you think? I'd follow you immediately, of course~"
You shake your head as you stand up to walk out for your much needed reprieve from the inescapable thoughts you can't shake.
"You're impossible."
He stands back to give you your space and sticks his hands into his coat pockets, beginning to follow right behind you. He taps your shoulder when your back is fully turned to him, clearing his throat as he says your name in the most sinful way.
"Ahem. You forgot your phone."
You freeze in your tracks. You want to so badly do what your mind is screaming to do, but you can't bring yourself to do it. The battle between wanting to grab that bit of normalcy you miss and wanting to avoid it like the plague is the fear of the commitment to acknowledge it. You slowly turn to face him holding out your phone for you and yet again... It stings when he looks at you like that. Like he actually cares. It makes you feel drunk on the sensation of being seen on a deeper level, the butterflies in your stomach keep saying so. You sigh, and mumble back.
"Leave it. I don't need it right now."
He steps a little closer, way too close for comfort. His voice drops to a more serious tone, yet it's nothing but gentle, firm. It's a Dazai you don't think you've ever heard except when on a mission. Even then it always felt performative. But not now. He takes your hand in his bandaged one and holds it out for a moment with your palm facing up. His desire for you to make amends with your troubles is far more important than proper customs, so he needs to do this and do it now before you drown any deeper and he loses his self control.
He can save you even if you're too stuck in your own self pity to see the brightness of your own future. How you shine like a diamond in the rough, if only you'd just let yourself live in the now. He whispers to you.
"I think she'd like to know how you're doing. Family, they're the only normalcy you can have sometimes... Especially in this line of work. I think you know that."
You gaze into his dark eyes, and for the first time are not afraid to hold eye contact as you realize you actually want to hear more. Finally, a real piece of him is being shown to you?
"... Is that something you relate to, Dazai?"
He almost winces at that, a flashback of two friends he once considered family flash into his mind. Maybe today is a Lupin day. He could imitate your angelic laughter as the whiskey burns his throat. He hides all of this with a nasty little smirk, elusive as ever as he lies through his teeth.
"Absolutely not."
You seem a bit disappointed at first, but before you can dwell on it too much, your thoughts flicker back to the phone call you realize it might be time to make. Your mood is instantly different. Hopeful, even. Dazai places your phone in your palm, slowly closing your hand into a small fist. His hand lingers on top of your knuckles for a second too long, and you realize you are, in fact, unable to keep looking him in the eye like this or else you might just collapse knowing he'd catch you. The concept alone is intoxicating.
"I'm gonna take this, okay?"
His smirk softens, almost boyish with the way he instantly relaxes and reverts back to his usual self. The mood shifts back to how it felt before, and Dazai nods in reassurance.
"You go get some air. I'll be here."
He waves you off as you flash him one last smile before exiting the office. That'll keep him going for a while, he thinks. You look so beautiful when you're full of life, he hopes it rubs off on him too. He stands there for a long time in deep thought, simply smiling at the floor. At some point your hair clip fell out without you noticing, and so he picks it up, pocketing it. He'll consider this the consummation of your relationship.
An hour passes by and you walk back into the office, eager to tell Dazai about your call back home and how refreshed you feel. That he was right, and you wanted to share this new found perspective that he helped you approach and conquer. You find the office is completely empty, and when your eyes glance at your desk, there's a sticky note left on one of the many trinkets you display on it. You read it out loud to yourself.
"You long for the past, so perhaps we can recreate it. Maybe a nice long walk by the river, or we could always try a more private solution.
Either way, I'm at your mercy.
- Osamu"

Rumors and Lies // H.P x reader
Summary: Harry is frustrated that a new rumor is spreading in the hall about your relationship. You try to cheer him up in any way you can.
Word Count: 972
Author's Note: Super fluffy! (Also sorry for the sentence with the “made made” i literally was wracking my brain for a better phrase but it literally just works LOL
[masterlist]
Much love, Saige
———-
Being Harry’s girlfriend was not for the faint of heart. Obviously, many girls at school swooned over the boy, and jealousy wasn’t a trait of yours, but the bullying and quips that were whispered in the halls always hurt you more than it did him. It wasn't until something was circulating about your relationship that hindered Harry in a way you’d never seen before.
“You know I love you for who you are. Okay?”
“I know you do, it just frustrates me that they won’t just accept that I love you, i am with you!! Like ONLY you!” He scoffed, head in hands. His head was spinning, anger throughout his body. He was having a hard time maintaining his composure, kicking himself mentally in how he was behaving around you. He knew it wasn't that big of a deal, but it was… sorta.
Unfortunately, its been the second time this week a peer of yours had gone up to Harry and attempted to swindle him into a date; well aware that you two were together. It was embarrassing, not only for the girl, but slightly for Harry. The situation was awkward and he hated being put in a position like that. A rumor had gone around that he was seeing the ravenclaw prefect.
Was this going to be an ongoing thing? Harry thought.
He sat on the edge of his bed, his hands raking through his hair, pulling at the roots slightly. It kept racing through his mind that people had the implication that he’d leave you, at all, none the less for some Ravenclaw prefect. He worshiped the ground you walked on, constantly trying to be a better person for you. Even the idea of breaking your heart made his blood pressure rise.
You could see how upset he was getting. You walked over and sat next to him on his bed. His body slumped slightly into yours as you sat, his head thumping on your shoulder in defeat. Wrapping your arms around him, you hummed lightly into his hair, planting light kisses. After a minute of silence, Harry took a deep breath in, his hands slowly moving across his lap to yours.
“I’ll never leave you for someone else. I hope you know that.” He mumbled, his thumb rubbing his hand roughly in an attempt to calm himself. “No matter what people say in the halls”
“I know love. Believe me, no one could rip you from my grasp.” You chuckle, whispering into his ear. Your arms snake around him, squeezing his body as tight as you could. Harry laughed, his arms bound to his sides, falling back onto the bed. You both laugh and tousle slightly, your arms racing around tickling any exposed skin. His face was twisted into a fit, his glasses askew on his face, his cheeks warm and red from laughing.
Somehow after a minute, the tables had turned, Harry was on top of you, your arms pinned above your head, both of you entirely out of breath. You smiled up at him, your armpits suddenly feeling very vulnerable to his touch, not knowing what his next move would be.
Harry looked down at you, his eyes twinkling with a sense of power. He loved being on top of you. Your hair was disheveled and your lips were parted slightly, exhaling from your mouth. You were undeniably perfect, and he wished he could stare at you all day. Scrunching your eyebrows, you looked up at him sternly, becoming antsy under his touch.
“Are you just going to hold me down all day?” You scoffed rolling your eyes sarcastically. The corner of your lip quivered in a smile, unable to hide your true feelings.
“I might.” He chuffed, looking around the room. “Doesn’t look like we have anywhere to be.” Looking back down at you, his smile was more mischievous. Any movement he made - made you squirm under his touch, his hands only tensing around your wrists harder. The air in the room changed, the tension was palpable you swore you could taste it.
Just as Harry was leaning down, itching his way closer to you, the door to the shrared dormitory swung open, slamming itself against the wall echoing around the room. Both of you turned your heads towards the sound, Harry's legs still straddling your waist.
“Mate. You know the rules.” Ron scoffed, his hands flying to cover his eyes. He stood for a moment, his sight shielded from both of you. Harry didn’t move off of you, his head fell back, smacking his forehead with his palm. You laughed at them both, the theatrics of the pair was beyond entertaining.
“We weren’t even-“
”You’re ontop of her!”
“No we were just”
“Listen.. I'll be back in an hour, but I swear if there isn't a sock on the door handle and you two are…… frolaking… believe me there will be a new story around the halls.” He shook his head, freeing one of his hands from his face miming around him attempting to find the door handle. You and Harry watched him struggle, both holding back laughter until he successfully closed the door.
“Maybe a rumor about us “frolaking” wouldn’t be that bad huh?” You tapped your finger on your chin, inquiring playfully. Harry's smile grew, leaning back down again just inches from your face.
“We ought to do it anyway. Wouldn’t want Ron to be a liar now would we?”

Can I please request Sukuna and reader picking up their child from preschool? It can be anything, fluff or angst, its up to you!
Love your work and keep it up <33
thank you for requesting and i'm so very sorry that this took a billion years to complete... i just now finally thought of an intriguing way to do this request <3
some warnings: fem!reader, major character death, ooc sukuna, major angst, modern AU, sukuna and reader have a daughter
good things never really last.
well, at least that's what sukuna believed before he came across you. you and your delicate expressions and equally as delicate affection and warmth, which seemed to wrap around him constantly, even when he tried to avoid you at the beginning of all this, all because of his own uncertainty and his rather skeptical outlooks on the concept of love.
he's always been self-centered-- so the idea of his life becoming centered around anyone else but himself, frankly, scared him a little bit.
but, putting that aside...
a high pitched, overjoyed squeal rings out from inside the daycare centre, and a little girl comes running into your open arms, embracing you with the overflowing energy that little children always tend to have. you lift her up with ease, smiling as she giggles from the gesture.
"mommy!" she says, nuzzling her soft, tiny face against yours without much care for being gentle. someone else trails in from behind, feeling a little left out from this reunion.
"aren't you forgetting someone here, princess?"
sukuna also makes his entrance into the centre, walking towards the both of you. your tiny daughter gasps, and flails her arms out towards the big man.
"daddy!! you're here too?!"
"that i am, sweetheart. happy to see me?" he takes her away from you, holding her as gently as possible with his large hands.
"uh huh," she nods with enthusiasm.
"of course you do. my little girl."
the sukuna of the past would've never fathomed having a future like this, where he'd be handling a child of all things with such care. it's really different when they're your own flesh and blood. he's adored her like no one else. ah- well- no one else but you, that is.
he carries her to the car, while you take your daughter's bag from the daycare teacher, who waves you off with a couple of words of goodbye.
the ride home is nothing short of cosy and cheerful, with the happy singing of your little girl coming from the backseats, and the laughs from you as you listen to the way she mispronounces a lot of the words in the song. sukuna drives wordlessly, with a gentle smile on his face.
the skies happened to be so clear that day, with not a speck of a cloud being sighted within it.
some time after arriving home, you began to languidly start your work in the kitchen, preparing dinner that also turned out even better tasting than usual, that particular night. you always felt the happiest, when sukuna praised your cooking, especially as someone who you knew had very high standards when it came to food.
and miraculously, once dinner was all finished and your daughter was all dressed up ready for bedtime, she managed to fall asleep a lot faster than most evenings, leaving you and sukuna with quite a bit of...freetime.
you lay on the mattress under his sultry gaze, as he undresses you carefully as though he were unwrapping a present, trailing soft kisses down the side of your neck. you're as beautiful as the day he first met you. this was the most perfect end to the most perfect day in his life.
too perfect.
...
he should have been suspicious, with the way things were getting so blissful in his life-- his life that had previously been so rocky and turbulent.
was this supposed to be punishment for his sins? for all his arrogance and selfishness? the heavens decided to grace him with the feeling of genuine love and its reciprocation, only to then tear it away from his hands once he'd started to take it for granted.
...it was an unforeseen accident. could've happened to anybody. why did it have to be you?
good things never last.
sukuna drops the home phone immediately upon hearing the news, and hurriedly packs a small bag for his daughter. he drops her off to her friend's house, who is a long term neighbour of theirs. then makes a beeline towards the hospital, speeding past every red light that dared to try and stop him.
yet, that was all for naught, as by the time he'd arrived to your bed at the hospital, you had already taken your last breath, and said your final words. which he couldn't hear for himself.
'please tell them that i love them'. that was apparently all you tried to say. sukuna is made to sign some documents on your passing, and shortly after, they give him some time to spend with your lifeless body. he is then sent home.
he arrives to see some mail that had been slipped in through the front door. notifications of fines, for crossing red lights multiple times and going against speed limits. nothing but a reminder of his failure.
he tears the letters into pieces, and sits himself down on a chair, where he hangs his head in silence, without bothering to turn the lights on in the house.
and all of a sudden, he becomes so very busy, in the following weeks.
caring for his daughter alone. preparing for your funeral. accepting your death.
grief is such a strange, and horrible experience. all this love he has for you. where is it supposed to go now?
the night after your funeral, he's sitting alone at the dining table once again. he can't stand the bedroom. not when it's become only his now, and no longer yours as well. sukuna hasn't slept well in a while.
small footsteps resound against the floorboards, and he looks up to see his daughter standing meekly a distance away from him.
"what's wrong? had a bad dream?" he asks, with the most gentle voice he can muster in his current condition.
"...no. i just had a dream about mommy," she confesses tearfully.
"why can't she just come back? i miss her."
too young to understand the concept of death.
"oh, sweetheart... i miss her too."
she begins to cry, and he gets up to comfort her, as if the one needing the most comfort right now isn't himself.
they huddle and sleep together that night, in attempts to replicate your warmth. the warmth of a mother. and the warmth of a wife.
-
since then, a part of sukuna seemed to change back into his older self, where he cared less for others and remained disinterested in most things that life offered him. he decided not to care about anything or anyone, other than himself and of course, his darling daughter. your gift to him. the only thing keeping him grounded.
he never finds a new lover, nor does he harbour any desires to seek for one, despite the encouragement from others.
you keep appearing in his dreams every now and then. every night before bed, he hopes to see you again, and is disappointed in the mornings where he wakes up with the realisation that it didn't happen.
years and years pass, and while he ages like fine wine, so does his little girl, who becomes not so little anymore. they still share the best bond that a father and daughter could ever have.
but eventually, she finds her own path in life and leaves the house to pursue her own dreams, even getting married to start her own family.
though they still regularly contact each other, sukuna's abode becomes sorrowfully quiet without her presence around. though he's proud as a father, this solitude only deepens his longing for you, like the sensation of slowly sinking towards the bottom of the ocean floor.
good things never last.
though, it's not until a few more years later, that he passes away rather peacefully of old age.
his soul feels light and airy. he feels calm, despite being aware that he's passed on into the afterlife. the bodily discomforts of aging is non-existent in this place.
he's walking towards the bright light, where he assumes he's supposed to go, and realises that there's a figure standing towards the end of it. sukuna already knows who it is, and his walking begins to speed up.
and with each step, his time rewinds.
"look at you. still all pretty and pristine, unlike me with my abhorrent wrinkles," sukuna comments with a chuckle in his voice.
"what are you talking about? you're still as handsome as ever."
as you grab his hand, your touch shifts his appearance... and sukuna reverts back to the time when he glimmered the most vibrantly - the days before you died, the days of his brilliant twenties. he stares at his own hand, where the creases in his skin have disappeared completely.
rejoicing, he pulls you in for a tight embrace, as he can now feel your body against his.
"you did so well. our little girl grew up so beautifully," you tell him with your sweet voice, hands placed against his broad back.
"of course. she's none other than our daughter, after all," he replies with confidence, as he presses his face against the locks of your hair, enjoying your familiar scent.
your bright smile turns to something more sorrowful, and you step back a bit to come face-to-face with him.
"and... you never found someone else. you never remarried."
"because I never intended to look for another. You were the first and last," sukuna tells you matter-of-factly.
"wasn't it lonely?"
"...terribly. but you're here now, so it was worth enduring after all."
you laugh, and it sounds exactly the same as it did all those years before. the memories he had of you, the ones that he held onto so tightly as to not forget, until his very last breath.
"that makes me selfishly happy. i shouldn't be, for your sake, but I am."
"then why don't you give me a kiss? for all my hard effort."
he leans in, like how he'd always done whenever you appeared in his dreams at night.
except this time, your lips actually reach his, instead of disappearing away, like a fleeting memory.
good things may never last for long, but misfortune certainly doesn't last forever, either.

i miss you, i’m sorry - k.b
summary: you and katsuki broke up due to his upcoming career as a hero. you’ve just released your debut album and got invited to a well-known event to sing and discuss the new album. little do you know, your classmates would be there with your one and only ex-boyfriend.
pairings: aged up!katsuki x singer!reader (they’re in like their last year of hs.)
“so, y/n, about your upcoming album, we’ve just been dying to ask, but is this inspired by a certain someone?” i narrow my eyes at the question the interviewer asks. i was expecting this, but i still can’t hide the shock on my face. what is it with nosy people wanting to constantly butt into my life? i’m not stupid. i know exactly what she’s implying. she wants to know if my debut album is inspired by my breakup with katsuki. technically, it is, but she doesn’t need to know that.
“more or less. i guess that’s for me to know and for you to find out.” the audience “ooh”’s and i smirk. “well, there you have it, folks! now, while we go on a little break, i dare you to jam out to y/n’s single, ‘i miss you, i’m sorry!’”
the cameras temporarily shut off as an ad plays and i get up prepare on stage with my band. “you guys ready?” i ask them. one of them chuckles, “nervous, but definitely ready.”
“it’s okay to be nervous. i am too.”
“we all know why.” he winks. “i’m nervous because this is one of my first times singing in front of an audience like this and this is live, not because of him.”
“yeah, right.” he replies. i’m about to come up with a snarky reply when my manager walks up to all of us. “you all ready? cameras turn back in 20.”
“minutes?”
“seconds.”
“crap.” i mutter. i plaster a smile on my face and turn around towards the cheering crowd. i grasp the mic and then i hear my manager in my ear piece, counting down the seconds left to start.
“3, 2, 1…aaaaand, we’re live.”
the interview grins. “as you all know, we’ve got the y/n l/n here, ready to perform a single from her debut album, so here goes nothing! break a leg, y/n.” she laughs before the cameras turn to me and the lights dim enough for them to see me and my band.
i inhale a shaky breath, scanning the crowd. “do you remember happy together? i do, don’t you? then, all of a sudden, you’re sick to your stomach. is that still true?” me and everybody here knows exactly who this song is directed to and as the lyrics flee my throat, i don’t dare to hide my anger, but most of all, my heartbreak and love that i somehow still have for him.
katsuki and i were perfect together. we were always together, no matter what. he didn’t care what people thought of us. he didn’t care that his friends teased him for being in love. he didn’t care about how different our goals were in life…until he did.
we broke up last year. or, well, he broke up with me last year. spewed some lies about us not seeing things the same and it wouldn’t work out in the long run. i just don’t understand. he always knew that my long life goal was to pursue a career in the music industry. i made it clear from the very beginning. sure, i was in the hero course and everything, but i didn’t want to be a hero. i did it so my parents would lay off of me already. and, well, it’s too late to back out now since we graduate this year.
and even though, he broke my heart and stepped all over it, i still have immense love for him.
“you said forever, in the end, i fought it. please, be honest, are we better for it? thought you’d hate me, but instead you called and said, i miss you, i caught it…”
a little bit after we broke up, he called me in the late hours of the night. for some reason, i picked up. i couldn’t decline the call, knowing he’d been on a mission that night with best jeanist. i was worried something had happened to him. the moment i heard him utter those words, that he missed me, i was shook to my core. i was frozen. it’s like i couldn’t breath and the words wouldn’t escape my throat. i wanted to, so badly, beg him to come back to me— that i missed him too.
instead, i hung up on him. i begged for him to come back once and he still left, i made a vow to myself that i’d never do it again— no matter how much i wanted to.
“good to each other, give it the summer. i knew, you too. but i only saw you once in december. i’m still confused.”
my heart clenches as the words spill from my mouth. i remember writing this song, a few months after we broke up. i remember sitting up against my bed, every night, wondering why he broke up with me, and i couldn’t control myself as i picked up my songbook and wrote every single thing i felt. this entire album is exactly how i felt when he broke up with me.
my eyes don’t leave the crowd once. i’m about to open my mouth to sing the next verse, but the words get clogged in my throat when my eyes connect with the burning ones i dream about. the ones that belong in distant memories and not in the present. he’s not alone, though. he’s with our— his friends. denki, kirishima, mina, and sero.
“you said, forever, and i almost bought it. i miss fightin’ in your dorm, breakin’ things when you’re disappointed. i still love you, i promise. nothin’ happened in the way i wanted. every corner of this school is haunted. and i know you said that we’re not talkin’, but i miss you, i’m sorry.” i don’t take my eyes off of him, making sure that i mean every single word that leaves my mouth. i still love him and i miss him.
i wish i was good enough for him. was i not pretty enough? he used to tell me i was beautiful. he used to whisper sweet nothings into my ear after our limbs entangled in our sheets. he used to stare at me and smile when i caught him. he used to play with my hair when he was bored or when he was reading.
“i don’t wanna go, think i’ll make it worse. everything i know brings me back to us. i don’t wanna go, we’ve been here before. everywhere i go leads me back to you.”
as i keep repeating the lyrics, my mind drifts to all the times he’d wrap his arms around me and told me i was the greatest thing that ever happened to him— how he promised to love me forever. i remember our shared kisses— how we’d lay down on our sides and stare at each other until the other grew tired. and now, he’s just a stranger i know everything about.
i know how his eyes crinkle when he laughs. i know he’s not as cruel as everybody makes him out to be. i know how bad his anxiety gets and how he needs to go on walks sometimes to calm down. i know how he secretly like chamomile tea and listens to conan gray when he trains.
i know everything about him.
i finally tear my eyes away from him as the audience cheers. i bow and wave before heading backstage to my dressing room.
the next few days are a blur. millions of tweets are being posted about my album and my performance, but more specifically, the look katsuki and i shared as i performed.
a few days ago i was performing in one of the most popular venues, getting interviewed by one of the most famous interviewers, and now i’m sitting in class, studying to be a hero. my friends congratulate me and sing their favorite songs off of the album. and i grin.
my eyes drift to the boy in the corner of the classroom who’s staring right back at me. he doesn’t hide it either. instead, he throws his his head back and continues to stare at me through half-lidded eyes.
“y/n, you’re, like, crazy famous now!” mina exclaims. “no, i’m not.” i chuckle, shyly. “girl, do not play with me! look at this. you’re blowing up!”
she scrolls through a few of the posts until she lands on one of katsuki. it’s a picture of him at the venue. i think he’s looking at me. the photo is captioned, no way he’s looking at her like that when he was the one who broke her heart.
ochaco gasps. “is that…bakugo?”
mina rapidly nods. “yeah, we tricked him into going. he didn’t know y/n was performing and he couldn’t take his eyes off of her.”
“ha, bakugo has haters now. it’s about time. i’ve seen too many edits of him. he’s stealing all the chicks, man.” denki says.
“he can’t help that he’s so manly!” kirishima cries, clutching a hand to his chest. “right, bakubro?” he yells.
katsuki rolls his eyes. “shut up.”
“when are you performing again, y/n?!” mina asks, excitedly. luckily, no one brings katsuki up again and nobody mentions anything about the break up. after katsuki and i broke up, everybody was extremely shocked and they didn’t get over it for months— they still aren’t— but i couldn’t take them talking about how cute we were all the time, so i made them swear not to talk about our relationship around me anymore.
luckily, they listened.
“probably after graduation. might be going on tour. i dunno.” i shrug.
“tour?!?!?! our precious y/n is getting out there. you better remember us when you’re all rich and famous!” mina says.
“i will.” i tell them. and i mean it.
hours later, when the sun sets and everybody is asleep, i make my way toward the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea. i can’t sleep tonight for some reason. my heart aches and i feel like i can’t breathe. i wish i could be in his arms again. i wish i could feel what it’s like to be loved again— truly loved.
as i’m preparing my tea, i hear a soft grumble behind me. his soft grumble. “that song was about me, wasn’t it?”
i freeze. “what?”
“the one from the other day.” he says. i feel him take a step closer, his shadow looming over me. my back is turned to him, so i can’t see him, but i can feel him. “it is, isn’t it?”
“what do you care if it is?” i don’t mean to snap at him, but the anger i’ve held in for so long— i’m unable to stop it.
“you miss me. and you still love me. i know you do because i love you.” my breath hitches. “katsuki, please, don’t do this to me.” i turn around and push him away from me so i can escape his suffocating presence.
“y/n.” his voice breaks and i feel my walls crumbling. his rough, calloused hand wraps around my wrist. “please.” that one word is what has me turning around and finally looking at him. he looks everything but okay and i just want to wrap my arms around him and tell him that everything will be okay and that i’m here for him.
“what do you want me to say to that, katsuki? i still love you? because i do! with everything in me! but you left me! you left me when i needed you most. because of what— my career choice? sorry, i’m not good enough for you.” i scoff.
his grip tightens around my wrist. “i broke up with you because it wasn’t going to work out. you know that.”
“how the hell do i know that if we never even tried?!”
“it wasn’t going to work. i’m not good enough for you, i was going to end up breaking your heart sooner or later— we both know that.”
“no, because before you did what you did, i never thought that you’d be the one to break my heart. you told me you loved me.”
“i did— i do.” he corrects.
“then, why did you do it? why did you break up with me? and don’t give me that stupid excuse about it not working out.”
he sighs. “come on, y/n. you know me. i’m messed up. i always have been and i always will be. there’s nothing good about me. and you? you’re perfect. look at you. you’re blossoming and you’re growing and i can’t be the one to hold you back.”
and this is where my anger ends. i take a step closer. “‘suki, you’re not messed up. and even if you are, who cares? we all are. even our perfect little class president iida is messed up. i love you— perfect or imperfect, good or bad. i love you. you’re not going to hold me back because you’re growing too. katsuki, you’re going to be a hero soon. you’re already going on missions. hell, you’ve even got fan pages for you. my point is that you’re everything i ever wanted. all i want is you.”
he doesn’t say anything.
neither do i.
i place my hands on his biceps and reach up to peck his lips. it’s awkward at first and he doesn’t kiss me back. but when i pull away, his hand wraps around the back of my neck and his lips crash onto mine. and it’s then that i realize that katsuki and i’s story never ended, and it never will because for as long as i live, i will love this man like breathing. his tongue delves into my mouth and i gasp at the fierceness he doesn’t dare to hold back. i feel the pain he’s held in for so long and i also feel the time we lost.
“i love you.” he mumbles softly as he pulls away.

Home For Christmas
Summary: When the band gets stuck in St. Louis on Christmas Eve, Jake goes to extreme measures to make it home for Christmas. Characters: Jake Kiszka x Fem!Reader x Tommy x Lily Warnings: Extreme Dad!Jake fluff. Slight angst.
__________________________________________________________
Jake stares out the window of the airport at the fluffy white snowflakes as they float down from the clouds above. He used to have such a love for snow, and it only intensified when he had kids. Watching them run around in the snow, laughing and smiling as they chased each other and rolling up snow balls to launch at each other. At this moment, however, he absolutely despises it. His jaw clenched as he watches it constantly falling with seemingly no end in sight.
The flight home to Nashville from Seattle was grounded in St. Louis due to a heavy blizzard in Nashville preventing any incoming flights from landing. Now only did he curse the snow for potentially ruining Christmas, but he also cursed the band’s management for scheduling shows so close to Christmas. They’ve never done this before, all of their shows have always come to end at least three weeks before Christmas, with a small break for Thanksgiving.
So in the airport he still stands with his jaw clenched and his fists balled up tightly in the pockets of his coat. He feels his phone vibrate within the small inside pocket of his coat. Pulling out he flips it over to see your contact staring right back at him.
How does he tell you that he’s not making it home for Christmas?
And the kids.
He sighs, closing his eyes to brace himself for the disappointment that will lace your voice when he breaks the news.
“Hey baby,” He answers, trying to sound as cheerful as he can, despite his own disappointment fighting for dominance.
“Hey honey,” You say, sounding quite chipper. He feels a pang in his heart at the sound of it, making it even harder for him to have to tell you. “The kids were wondering if you were almost home?”
“And what about you?” He ponders, trying to keep the mood light.
“Well of course I am too,” You say with a giggle. He chuckles before inhaling sharply and releasing it. He knew you sensed it because the next words out of your mouth only made him feel worse. “You’re not coming home in time, are you?”
“Doesn’t look like it,” He says. “I’m sorry.. We left Seattle on time, but the blizzard in Nashville, our flight got grounded in St. Louis.”
“Crap…”
“Is that daddy?!” He hears Lily call out in the background.
“Yeah baby, it is.”
“Ooo! I want to talk to him! I have a very important question to ask him!”
“Sure baby..”
He hears the rustling over the phone before he hears Lily start talking again, “Daddy, when you get home, can we watch The Grinch first? Tommy wants to watch The Santa Clause first, but I really want to watch The Grinch. Please, please, please?”
It was a fairly new tradition they had begun when Tommy turned four. He loved watching The Santa Clause with Jake on Christmas Eve, and then Lily grew older and decided she loved The Grinch so they would end up watching both movies on Christmas Eve, just whoever got to go first was the always the hardest to choose because no matter who got picked in a random draw, the loser always pouted and got upset.
This year, with him being stuck in St. Louis, he can’t do the random draw to determine who goes first.
“You know we always do a draw, Lily.”
She huffs and he just knows she’s rolling her eyes. “When are you going to be home so we can pick?” She asks. “Because we also have to put out the cookies that we baked over the weekend before you left for your shows.”
“Why don’t you put them out anyways?” He says.
“Only you know where the special plate is, Daddy.”
“I could tell you.”
“Daddy..”
“Tommy can help you.”
“Help her do what?” Tommy says in the background. “Why do I need to help her when you’ll be here?” Jake stayed quiet, chewing on the inside of his lip as he tried to find a good way of telling them. “You are going to be here… Right?”
“Well, I-”
“You’re not coming, are you?”
“Bud, I tried.. But our flight–”
“I knew it..”
“Tommy, I’m sorry, I-” The line goes and he pulls his phone away from his ear to see the call ending and disappearing from the screen.
In the window, he sees his reflection as well as Josh’s as he walks up to stand beside his twin. “I take it the phone call didn't well?” He asks.
“Tommy’s upset.. Rightfully so.. I’m sure Lily’s the same way.. Y/N is disappointed.”
“I’m sorry,” He says. “Maybe we’ll get a Christmas miracle and the snow will lighten up and we can go home.”
Jake huffs and turns away from the window. Now he officially hates the snow. Truding back over to the seats, he slumps down in a chair and rests his head in his hand.
“We’re so damn close,” Sam grumbles beside him. “Heck, I bet we could drive home.. It’s only what–five hours?”
“We can’t drive in this weather,” Danny says. “That’s a suicide mission.”
The idea swims Jake’s head. He ponders it over and over again until he’s sitting up in his chair and slowly turning to face Josh. Josh’s eyebrows are pulled inwards as he stares at his brother. The realization soon hits him and he’s shaking his head. “Oh no.. No, no, no. Did you not listen to a single word Danny said?”
“Come on,” Jake says as he stands to his feet. “We rent a car and drive home.”
“This is risky,” Josh says, looking up at him. “Jake, I know you want to get home and I know it sucks not being able to be there with your family but risking your life to get home in this weather is just absolutely nuts.”
“Then you can stay here and I’ll drive home alone.” Jake grabs his bags off of the ground and starts heading off through the airport and towards the car rental company. “Is it possible to rent a car?” He asks the gentleman behind the counter.
“We do have a car available,” The man says. “But I would say that it is quite treacherous out.”
“Yeah well, I have disappointed kids at home that I need to get to.”
“Jake..” Josh walks up beside Jake and rests his hand on the counter.
“Josh, I have to get home.”
“I know,” He says. “But you’re not going alone.”
“Thought you weren’t coming?”
“Just get the damn car before I change my mind,” Josh says.
And within the hour, all four of them were packed into an SUV with all of their luggage and on their way home to Nashville. The snow was denser than Jake had anticipated so he crawled at a slow rate, which means that five hours will turn into seven hours. But he’s determined to make it home.
He could still hear the disappointment in Tommy’s voice when he learned Jake won’t make it home for Christmas. He’s determined to prove him wrong as well. His phone starts ringing and he looks at it on the dashboard stand. Your contact shows on the screen and he reaches forward to swipe his thumb across the screen to answer the call.
“Hey I’m glad you called, can I speak with Tommy?” He asks. “I need to talk to him.”
“It’s me..” Tommy speaks. “I wanted to call to apologize.. You can’t control the weather so I know I can’t be mad at you.”
“You have nothing to apologize for,” Jake says. “But I have good news. I’m coming home.”
“What? How? You said-”
“We’re driving home.” Jake says. “Slowly.. But we’re coming.”
“Really?!”
“Yes, but you have to keep it a surprise, okay?”
“Aye aye captain.”
“Good. Now go help your sister set out the cookies and I’ll be home before bedtime.” Jake ends the call and continues the steady crawl down the freeway.
–
Six hours and thirty minutes later, they’re finally reaching the city limits of Nashville. There’s still quite a few cars out on the road but the majority of the city looks like a ghost town. He makes it to Danny’s place and they bid their goodbyes before he makes the trek to Sam’s. One by one he drops them off before he makes his way to his own home.
Down the street he can spot the twinkling lights that decorate their home and he sighs in relief. Those damn lights he had to hang up on Thanksgiving the second dinner was over. For once he appreciates them despite the anger they’ve given him trying to hang them around the trimming of the house. The front yard is decorated with a few inflatables, a flamingo, a snowman, and a gingerbread man.
He was also relieved to see the driveway somewhat shoveled so he forced the vehicle up the slight incline and put it in park. Ditching his bags for the time being, he shuts off the car and gets out, being mindful of the ice and balancing himself as he carefully walks up to the front door. He can see through the front window the tree in the corner. The couch is in slight view and he can see Lily asleep, curled into your body as you too are asleep. He smiles to himself before sticking his key in the lock and twisting it.
Quietly he opens the door and steps inside the house, instantly feeling the warmth through his coat and his clothes. Shaking off the stray snowflakes that clung to him from outside, he starts to pull his coat when he sees Tommy step out of the kitchen. He quickly signals for him to be quiet as the still small boy rushes through the living room and tackles his father against the wall.
“I take it you’re happy,” He chuckles as he wraps his arms around Tommy.
“You have no idea.” Tommy says before tilting his head backwards and flipping his hair off of his forehead.
“Time for a haircut?”
“No way.” Tommy says.
In the midst of their hugs, Jake hadn’t noticed the littlest Kiszka waking up to find her father home. “Daddy!” She exclaims as she crawls off the couch and runs across the floor to throw her arms around his legs.
“Hey Lilypad,” He laughs as he sinks to the floor and lets her crawl onto his lap. “Did you put out the cookies?”
Lily nods her head, “And the milk!”
Hearing you groan, Jake looks to see you opening your eyes. You blink a few times and stretch out your body before looking over at the scene on the floor by the door. “When did you get here?”
“Just now,” He says. “Want to come join the cuddle party?”
“After you get in your pajamas,” You say. “You look a little out of place right now.”
After prying the kids off of him, he quickly brings his things in from the car and rushes to get dressed in the pajamas that match the rest of his family. Once he was good to go, he joined them back downstairs on the floor of the living room on the made up bed of blankets and pillows. Lily immediately takes her place on his lap and rests her head against his chest while you snuggle up to his side and Tommy rests on his other.
Lily groans when the opening sequence of The Santa Clause begins to play on the tv. “The draw was fair and square,” Jake reminds her with a soft tickle to her side. It wasn’t long before both kids were passed out on the blankets halfway through The Grinch playing.
Jake feels your hand rest against his cheek before turning his head so he’s looking at you. “Stop risking your life to make it home,” You say. “But thank you for making the effort.”
“I would do anything to be home with my family on Christmas,” He says as he gently kisses you. “I wouldn’t miss this for the world.” He gently pats Tommy’s back who simply snuggles closer to him. “I mean, come on. This is so much better than cuddling a pillow in an airport.”
You can’t help but to giggle. “Who doesn’t love children laying all over them?”
“Whoever doesn’t is crazy..” He chuckles before kissing you again. “Merry Christmas..”
“Merry Christmas.”

Had a silly idea
---------
"Dad! DAD!!!"
Sapnap stands up from his seat in a panic, turning around just as Milo and Naomi scramble into the room. Team Mafia said that they wouldn't hurt them, said that they would be safe while Sapnap worked, but what if-
Milo throws himself into Sapnap, knocking him back into the couch, Naomi jumping right beside them. They're both smiling, giggling and moving around like they eaten too much sugar.
"Dad!" Naomi grins, looking at him with those wide green eyes of hers, "we went on a work mission today! With Spreen! But he said you can't tell Papa!"
"Oh?" Sapnap smiles softly, unable to stop the fond look on his eyes despite the way his mind is racing to all the possibilities of what this 'mission' could have been, and why Spreen would tell the kids not to tell Dream, "and what did you do?"
"We-"
Milo starts, but Naomi slaps a hand over his mouth, shushing her twin
"Shhhhhh, he need to promise! You need to promise Dad, you promise you won't tell Papa?"
Sapnap sets his jaw, doing his best to look as serious as he does during his meetings with mafiosos.
"I do."
Both kids cheer and his masks cracks immediately, unable to stop the smile his kids always drag out of him.
"Don't hit your brother tho Naomi, even when it's to keep a secret"
"Sorry!"
Naomi chirps, but Milo is too focused on telling the story to mind the slap
"So Spreen came to us and he told us he had this plan to find the best ice cream in the whole city right? But!" Milo puts up one little finger, "But his English isn't that good, so he says he gets embarrassed to order-"
"I think that's silly!" Naomi cuts in, "His English is really good! Much better then my Spanish."
"Yeah! But we agreed, because we're super nice, so we went out to get ice cream."
"It was like a spy movie Dad! We had to like. We judged the look of the place before we even went in and the seating-"
"I ordered! All three times!" Milo puffs up his chest, "Naomi was too much of a scaredy cat!"
"I got shy! There's nothing wrong with being shy, Dad is shy-"
"You got ice cream three times?"
Sapnap interrupts their banter, raising am eyebrow. So that's why they weren't supposed to tell Dream.
"Yeah! It was so fun, Spreen got us a notebook to keep our scores!"
"But it has to stay in his car so no one finds out. It's a secret. Oh! Dad I ordered on a place where everyone spoke Spanish!" Milo slaps his little hands against Sapnap's chest, "It was like, scary, but Spreen helped me! It was really good to, I liked that place. It got a 21 out of 25."
"It would have been higher, but they only had like. 5 places to sit. So they got a low seating score. Sad!"
Sapnap huffs out a laugh, gently pushing Naomi's face. Oh my God the kids are aging zoomies.
"Get those high beams out of my face, my god you get those from your father," Sapnap smiles, hearing Naomi giggle behind his hand. He let's go of her, kissing then both on their foreheads before pushing them off the couch, "Go go, go play, go make someone's life hell, or else you'll tear the house apart at bed time"
The two of them take off, their little steps sounding around the house as they look for a new victim.
Good thing they had plenty of them now huh?
SO FREAKING CUTE AHHH
The kids go out CONSTANTLY with different Team members hehe :3c
They go to the coolest parks and ice cream shops and restaurants!!!! It's so much fun :D!!
(Their favorite to terrorize is ElRich :3! He plays boring old man games and it's really silly! But they also bet quarters and dollars with him to win some monies cause gambling is fun!!!)
I think the kids here would recognize all three dad's are always at home now!! And if they ever leave it's to join them going to the park!! Along with all of the new grown up friends/uncles/more dads who always join!! Together always yippie :D!!!

A FIC ABOUT TAKING CARE OF ROSS OH PLEASEEEE GIVE ME THE HURT/COMFORT AWHILE BACK I REQUESTED ABOUT COMFORTING /HIM/ INSTEAD OF THE OTHER WAY AROUND (and you wrote it and it was amazing) ITS MY FAVORITE TROPE
SORRY FOR YELLING IM JUST EXCITED!
it's quite short but it's sweet <3
you watch ross with a frown on your face. which is not how it usually goes—usually, you watch him absolutely enamoured or with a huge grin on your face. or sometimes, when you’re busy belting out the lyrics and shredding an air-guitar, you don’t even watch him at all. but today, (rather, in the last few days) the frown has been making a more and more frequent appearance.
you know he’s been in pain and you know how much he keeps minimising it with frequent reassurances of “i’m fine,” and “you're worried over nothing.” and sure maybe you are, but you don’t like the way he keeps shaking his hand and scruntching his face in pain after every song. especially now that they’re done with most of the set with only two more songs left.
so you sit backstage, restlessly tapping your foot and waiting for him to come back.
fifteen more minutes, and you hear the tell-tale sounds the cheers and whoops and laughter—matty’s giggle the loudest among them all but ross is laughing along too.
he looks perfectly fine when he comes into view. exactly like he does every day except for the hint of a blue tap peeking out from under his sleeve. well this is new—you didn’t know he had to put it on.
“did you enjoy it love?” he asks, placing a kiss on your head and immediately makes his way to his bag.
you mumble a non-commital yes and watch him dig through it until he finds the familiar pack of ibuprofen and looks around in search of some water.
“ross…” you sigh, holding out a bottle of water which he takes gratefully and swallows down two pills.
he’s oblivious to you watching him—from the way he can’t open the cap of the bottle on the first try to how he constantly flexes and unflexes his hand, almost subconsciously at this point while he jokes around with polly about something.
so when you get a minute with him alone, you pull him aside.
“you’re hiding it from me.” your tone is slightly accusatory which makes him frown in confusion.
“hiding? babe, what…”
“your arm. you’re hiding the fact that it hurts to play!” you poke his arm lightly, just a graze of your finger against his wrist but ross looks away guiltily.
“i am not hiding!” he grumbles but his shoulders slump a little as he gazes at the ground. the guilt in his eyes is evident, but he's not ready to admit it fully just yet. "i just don't want you to worry, that's all. it's no big deal, honestly."
you can't help but roll your eyes at his stubbornness. "ross, you're in pain. you're wincing and fidgeting on stage. it's obvious to me, and i'm sure it's noticeable to the fans too. you’ve got a tape wrapped around it. do you honestly expect me to believe it’s because you’re “not in pain”?”
he lets out another sigh, rubbing his temple as if trying to chase away a growing headache. "i know, love. but i’m handling it, okay? i can’t exactly take a break though, can i?”
that softens you a bit—enough that you step forward and cradle his face between your hands. “i know it’s a lot at the moment… but can you let me take care of you at least? icing it can help, right?”
he nods and you make a mental note to google all the ways to lessen his pain because yes, unfortunately taking a break is not an option.
so till then, it’s ice packs, and tapes and ibuprofen.
“something warm helps too,” he volunteers, cheekily pulling you closer. “a bath when we get back to the hotel?”
you roll your eyes at him again, trying and failing to suppress your smile. “anything else, babe? a sexy nurse costume to go with your treatment?”
“i mean if you’re offering–ow!” he laughs at your attempts to smack his chest.
despite the pain, you’re glad to see him back in high spirits again and finally willing to accept being taken care of. it’s not ideal—the injury, the schedule. anything really. but at least now you can properly devise a plan.

Paring: Tobias Forge & Reader
Warnings: suicidal thoughts/intentions, mention of death
“I eh, I understand these emotions and thoughts are hard to have.” He said, a comforting hand on the small of my back as he sat down on the wet concrete curb of the road.
I sniffle, trying not to cry at the kind gesture, “It’s ok, you don’t have to stay out here and convince me everything is sunshine and rainbows.” Three or four tears run down my raw cheeks as I simply blink
“Nothing is sunshine and rainbows,” he says as he gently starts moving his hand in a circular motion, his presence alone is soothing. Maybe being a family guy is why he’s so kind, and being the ‘Big Boss’ so firm and honest. It’s a good mix for a guy like him.
I look at the cigarette in my hand as the burning ember falls off and goes cold as it lands on the cool pavement that’s just barely wet from whatever rain or sewer leaked from outside the hotel at this time.
The street light highlighted our faces like we wore clown makeup, but to think about it, it is silly that such a sophisticated man would sit outside in the cold just to comfort a hired musician.
Laughs echo from inside the building, and warm light pools out of the windows decorated for whatever season it was supposed to be
I cry softly, putting a hand on my forehead. I want him to go inside because I don’t want him to spoil and rot like every other gram of happiness or joy that has been near me. “A black hole is what I am, I don’t want to swallow anyone who already hasn’t been.” I crow as the continued sound of joy hurts my heart.
“I’m not a scientist but black holes create new matter like planets do they not? So maybe we’re all just the aftermath of someone like you.” He says softly, I hear the exhaustion of the day in his sweet voice as he tries to cheer me up.
“I can’t do it.” I simply say as I hide my face in my knees as my cheeks fill with air and I stop myself from letting out a loud cry.
“Yes you can,” he says as he scoots closer to me, I know he’s not a therapy friend but just like before his fatherly and leading nature makes him simply incredible to be around. “You can because I did, and I know nobody wants to be compared to others but we are constantly changing”
I sigh heavily, “Except you mean something, your are worth something, and you have millions of fans and undying love from people. You’ve saved people's lives.” I say
“Yes but..” he thinks for a moment, “I mean it wasn’t too long ago I was just picking up a phone for money and doodling logos on napkins.”
I look up at him with puffy red eyes.
“I was In the same position when I felt all alone and helpless when someone very close to me passed away suddenly. I know how it feels to be at the bottomless pit of nothing” he said as he rested his elbows on his knees.
I wipe my nose on my sleeve, “I just…”
“You just need something or someone to keep you going,” He looks at me and flashes a smile.
“I already have one, thank you, I guess I should’ve said,” I say as more tears roll down my cheeks.
“For what? I told you I don’t mind coming out here, it’s because your my friend, band mate and I ca-“ he tries to finish before I cut him off, “for saving me, your truly the nicest and most understanding person ever.” I start to sob.
His face softens and he wraps me in a tight yet delicate hug, “I’m sorry you needed saving.”
I try not to get snot or tears on the back of his jacket as I melt into it, “thank you”

EVERYONE WHO MISSES TECH, PLEASE STAND
Because Dave Filoni really looked at us and said “FUCK YOUR TECH DREAMS!”
Tech did not return and I am screaming.
Anyway, please enjoy Tech and a Baby
Crosshair and a Baby
Wrecker and a Baby
Gregor and a Baby
Echo and a Baby
Full fic below the cut in case you don't want to go to Ao3:
Tech isn’t what you would call a “baby guy.” Babies are illogical and can’t be reasoned with. At least once they reach a certain age, you can start communicating and getting some understanding out of them. Unfortunately for Tech, baby Echo “Ec” Yothia is still just that: a baby. None of this is to say that Tech doesn’t love Ec because, no, no, he does. He just tends to find himself a little…Uncertain when it comes to the child. He prefers to simply observe others interacting with him rather than truly engaging with the child himself.
So, of course, he would find himself in this situation. Ec’s mother, Rayona, has been working herself incredibly hard for the clone rebellion. As the acting pseudo-General and one of two resident Jedi, she takes what she does very seriously. She’s worked herself so hard, in fact, that Echo, as their resident Rayona-specialist, has taken it upon himself to start enforcing nap times for her. This is fine. Usually, it’s Echo or one of the other Bad Batch squad members that sit or lay with her to make sure she actually rests, some even resorting to lying on top of her. The problem is, Rex has Hunter and Wrecker helping him with a job and Crosshair is preoccupied with Omega. Apparently, Rayona is extra unwilling today, so Echo said it would be best for him to enforce nap time. Which leaves Tech with the baby.
“Are you absolutely certain that you cannot come and watch over him? I am not equipt for the caretaking of an infant,” he says into his comm. He can hear Crosshair laughing on the other side of the transmission, but it’s Omega who answers.
“Sorry, Tech. Crosshair and I are busy with Plaa and Ky right now.” Ah, of course. Rayona’s Jedi friend and her padawan/adopted daughter. Crosshair has taken a rather keen interest in them. “Have you asked any of the others?”
“I have accounted for everyone else in the base. They are all either busy or not currently able to properly watch over Ec. While I am not equipped to care for him, I will not pass Ec off to someone who has more pressing matters to attend to. His safety is prioritized over my own comfort,” Tech says. He adjusts his goggles slightly. “I will attend to him. Thank you for your help, Omega.”
“Good luck, Tech!” With that cheerful send-off, Omega is gone and Tech is once again alone with his thoughts and the infant. Ec stares up at him with big brown eyes, taking a moment before he smiles and reaches up toward Tech’s face, gurgling. His hand waves toward Tech’s eyes in particular, and Tech quickly deduces that he must be able to see his reflection in Tech’s goggles. He shifts the child away slightly, hoping to avoid getting any small fingerprints on his goggles. After taking a few moments to consider what he could possibly do with the child, he comes up with an idea.
For the time being, Tech sets up Ec’s feeding chair near his workstation and places Ec in it. This will allow him to monitor the child but will prevent Ec from possibly grabbing something he shouldn’t. With Ec out of his lap for the moment, Tech is able to work on his latest project. It is, however, a project for Ec. A common problem is that Ec constantly needs to be held since there aren’t many good places to put him down. Tech has been working on a solution for that. Simply put, a hovering pram for Ec to rest in. It would make it easier to transport him around while still having one’s arms free. Tech decided to fit it with an energy shield, should the day ever come when they need to move the baby through an active battlefield. He also asked about mounting small automatic turrets to shoot anyone not in a specific scan-related database, but Rayona had very quickly nixed that idea. Despite his well-cited argument about the turrets keeping Ec safe, she’d argued that it was “too dangerous” for the rest of them. A rather preposterous concern, if you ask Tech, but he went along with Rayona’s wishes. She is Ec’s mother and Tech respects her too much to go against her will. It’s easy for him to focus all his attention on the project in front of him…At first. After approximately three minutes and thirty-six seconds, Ec begins to babble. Tech ignores him at first. He can’t expect the infant to be quiet, after all. They’re only quiet when they sleep. However, it quickly becomes clear that Ec is seeking attention and Tech looks over at him.
“Yes?” he prompts, though he knows Ec won’t respond. Ec giggles and smiles at him, and Tech adjusts his goggles as he considers what to do. Ec seemed pleased that Tech spoke to him, which makes sense considering that infants recognize the sounds of speech. After Rayona had Ec, Tech also read that speaking to infants helps their cognitive development, meaning they’re able to acquire speech and language skills sooner. Perhaps he could help move that process along. Yes, that solution will do nicely. Tech pulls the feeding chair a little closer to his side, turning it slightly so that Ec can watch him work. “Now, Ec, while I understand that you do not currently have the capacity to understand me, I assure you that listening to me will help with your mental development. Now, as you can see, I’m currently wiring together the necessary controls to activate and deactivate the energy shield over the body of the pram. Once that is complete I will finish calibrating the repulsorlift and set it to the inner shell, which will allow your pram to hover, therefore making you easier to transport. I should also incorporate a sensor so that the pram can be summoned from a distance, and the sensor can be synced to your mother and-”
“Why are you sayin’ all that to him?” Tech lifts his head from his work, turning to look over his shoulder. Ah, it seems that Wrecker and Hunter have returned. Tech adjusts his goggles again.
“I had read that speaking to an infant helps with their mental development, especially when it pertains to speech skills,” he says. Wrecker blinks, clearly confused, and Tech sighs. “If I continue to talk to Ec, it is likely that he will learn to talk more quickly.” Now Wrecker’s eyes widen with understanding.
“Oh. I get it. But why all that…Smart stuff? Doesn’t he want to hear about baby stuff?” he asks. Tech glances at Ec, who he finds looking back at him. When Tech’s eyes land on him, Ec smiles and babbles slightly. Tech smiles slightly in satisfaction before looking back at Wrecker.
“I believe my ‘smart stuff’ is plenty entertaining for Ec. Perhaps he will retain some of it and someday have an intellect matching my own,” he says, perhaps just a little proudly. Hunter appears at Wrecker’s side, helmet held against his hip.
“Does that mean you don’t want us to take him? Omega mentioned that you weren’t sure what to do with him,” he says. Tech once again looks down at Ec, who is still smiling at him.
“No. He may remain with me,” he says after a moment. Hunter shrugs, then gestures to Wrecker with his head. The two leave and Tech turns back to his project, though not without briefly brushing some of Ec’s hair back. “Now, where was I? Ah, yes. I should consider making some sort of gauntlet or chip to ensure that your pram can be summoned to…”

Hey bestie! Oh my god I saw you’re taking requests for Wednesday, sooo I was wondering if you could write a Wednesday x reader where r is enid’s sibling, maybe they keep ‘bothering’ wednesday with smalltalk, chatting, etc (basically, they’re down bad but even they don’t know it) until enid basically tells them they need to ask her out or she’ll tell Wednesday for them. Thank you so so much, sorry if this sounds insane it’s literally 1 am and I need sleep. Anyway, have a fabulous day!
The way I literally ran to my drafts so I could get started working on this asap- you always have such good ideas, thank you for sending this in ily ❣❣
The Other Sinclair (Wednesday Addams x reader)
Warnings: reader is a huge simp, Enid is the perfect wingman (wingwolf? Is that even a thing?), Wednesday is oddly sentimental, basically you're all just huge dorks
As soon as Wednesday found out Enid had a sibling she knew there was no way she'd ever get peace again.
To say you were bothersome was an understatement. Often times Wednesday wished you and your sister weren't so close, because maybe then you wouldn't constantly be hanging around when it was least welcomed (which, Wednesday being Wednesday, was pretty much all the time).
You would visit her every single day, bringing your constant cheerfulness with you as though it was the only thing keeping you alive. Wednesday saw it to be quite the opposite; the mere thought of you and your never fading smile was enough to make her hair stand on end while she broke out in a cold sweat, and not in a good way.
The only times she got any peace was when Enid decided to leave and visit you in your room instead. In fact, it was during one of those very visits that she spoke to you about something you'd been cleverly hiding for quite some time: the crush you had on Wednesday. Although if we're being completely honest here, you clearly didn't hide it as well as you thought if Enid knew about it.
"Come on, you have to tell her!" Enid insisted, trying her best to convince you.
"There's no way that's ever going to happen," you replied, crossing your arms over your chest. "Wednesday actively dislikes everyone, and I'm no different from the rest of them."
"I simply refuse to believe that's true. I mean, come on, the way she looks at you-"
"-is with the same glare that she gives everyone else. Face it, Enid, Wednesday wants nothing to do with me."
"If she wanted nothing to do with you, then she would have verbally eviscerated you a long time ago. I know that's what she did to me," Enid mumbled under her breath. "You'll never know until you ask. Plus, if you don't fess up and admit your feelings, I'm just gonna go ahead and tell her myself, so..."
"Wha-? Enid, you can't do that!" You all but screech, grabbing ahold of her shoulders in an effort to both convince her otherwise and ground yourself.
"Look, I don't want it to have to come to that, but I will if I have to. Now, promise me you'll talk to Wednesday as soon as we get back." Enid raised her eyebrows at you, almost in a threatening manner.
"Okay, fine," you conceded, letting go of her. "I'll give it a shot."
"Wonderful!" Your sister joyfully cried out, clapping her hands together swiftly while jumping up and down. "Now, let's work on what you're going to say."
Meanwhile, back in Ophelia Hall, Wednesday was experiencing an intense session of writer's block. As much as she wanted to be writing, she couldn't help but wonder what you were doing instead.
She didn't understand it; the hold you had on her was unnatural, but not necessarily uninviting. She often found herself thinking about the way you laughed whenever Enid told one of her horrible jokes, and how you always greeted Thing whenever you arrived.
Not to mention you always asked how her day was, even if you knew the answer was going to be something along the lines of 'pure torture'. In fact, any time you bumped into her on Nevermore's campus you actually looked happy to see her, and were never polite simply for the sake of it.
Wednesday was beginning to feel things she'd never felt before, and it made her quite unsure of herself. And if there was one thing Wednesday hated, it was being unsure of herself.
Could it be... was this love?
She'd heard other people talk about it- how their hands would get abnormally sweaty and they'd begin to suffer from heart palpitations- but she'd never felt it first hand, and it was a rather strange feeling that was quite difficult for her to place as she had never experienced it before.
Even after having it described to her by her parents about how they fell in love at a young age multiple times, she still had no idea just how it happened and what it felt like. In fact, if anything, having heard of Morticia and Gomez's own romantic romps from their youth did nothing but further confirm what Wednesday was quite certain of: falling in love was nothing but a gigantic waste of time.
And yet, there she was; she could practically feel her pulse quicken by the second at the mere thought of you.
Just then, the door opened, and in skipped Enid, with you in tow. You weren't feeling like your usual cheery self at that moment, and you were certain you couldn't be looking like it either.
"Heya, Wednesday!" Enid delightfully greeted the blank faced girl, who's attention was focused solely on you instead. "My dear sibling here has something they'd like to say to you."
She nudged you with her elbow and gestured towards Wednesday. "Well, go on," she whispered.
The braided brunette raised her eyebrow at your sudden shyness. It usually took her ages to get you to shut up, so this complete 180 in attitude was a shock.
"Um..." you started rather awkwardly. "Well, you see, I- I've liked you for quite some time now, and was just wondering if... if maybe you'd like to accompany me to The Weathervane? This weekend, perhaps?" You asked, your voice barely above a whisper. "I- I completely understand if it's a no, I mean, it is on such short notice-"
"Yes," Wednesday stated as soon as she noticed the hesitation begin to creep through your voice. "I'd like that."
"I- really?" You couldn't hide your excitement at her response, not that you wanted to.
"Of course. If I didn't, I would have said so," she replied curtly. "I expect you to pick me up at 3 pm sharp, and don't be late."
"I- okay," you immediately agreed, a little stunned by her answer. "I'll see you then."
She nodded swiftly before turning her attention back to her typewriter. You turned around to see Enid standing there with the biggest grin you'd ever seen on her, her arms opened wide.
You let her pull you in for a tight hug, embracing her happily. "I can't believe that worked! I mean, she said yes! She actually said yes! We're finally going out, and it's gonna happen this Saturday!"
"I know! I'm so happy for you!" Enid squealed, wrapping her arms around you even tighter. Because you were so preoccupied with your own excitement, you both failed to notice the faintest smirk that had crept its way onto Wednesday's face.

Hello 😭 I really love your bofb fanfics and headcanons!! They are really awesome ✨ Also, I wonder if you could write a headcanon with Speirs, Luz, Liebgott, Roe, Welsh and Babe about the male reader being hurted during the battle and how they would react to that 😭😭? If yes, then thank you so, so much <33
Hi Anon! Thank you so much, I'm so glad that you enjoy them 🤗 I don't think I've ever written anything with Harry before, so I hope his turned out okay
Speirs
As an officer, Speirs would probably make a point of not showing favoritism towards you
But that becomes very difficult when he hears that you were wounded on the patrol
His reaction would probably be similar to how he reacted when Grant was shot
Letting the façade slip ever so slightly, the willingness to show a little more emotion in front of his men because someone he cares about was just hurt
When he gets to you, he definitely stays there the entire time, the medics working under his eagle-eyed watch
He's not trying to intimidate them or anything - he's just stressed out and waiting for the chance to talk to you
"You look mad," you note when you're finally alone.
Immediately, Ron's face softens. "Sorry. I've just been worrying about you."
"I know. You're not nearly so callous as everyone makes you out to be." You smile, teasing, even though you've just been hurt - your ability to find a bright side or the humor in a situation is one of the things that Ron admires and loves most about you. "Be careful though, Sparky. If too many people see you caring about me, it might ruin that heartless reputation of yours."
He can't help but laugh. For you, he would do anything, no matter what it did to his reputation
Luz
After what happened to Muck and Penkala, the thought of anyone he cares about getting hurt makes Luz feel sick to his stomach
And when he hears you're wounded? The color just drains from his face because he fears the worst
Luckily, you're not too hurt
(So then why is adrenaline coursing through his veins like he's preparing to run a marathon?)
When you see him come to the aid station, you flash him a smile. He tries, really, to return it, but it comes out as something closer to a grimace
"You come to cheer me up Luz?"
He's more than happy to see that you're okay, but he can't find it in him to crack any sort of joke to make you feel better
Instead, he presses a quick kiss to your temple. "Don't go scaring me like that again."
Liebgott
Okay it's during Bastogne and Liebgott has just gotten back from being Winters' runner for the day
At first when he realizes that you're not in your foxhole, he thinks that you've gone to make the rounds and visit your friends
Only he can't find you anywhere
Finally, Doc Roe tells him that you caught some shrapnel and were taken into the town
He's never seen Joe's eyes so wide, seen him so speechless, seen him scared, even - no one has
He guides Liebgott back into Bastogne so that he can see you
Joe is calm until he reaches the church and sees you, then he's power walking to the cot you sit on and has you in his arms in a second, holding you tight
"Are you okay?" He asks, and when you tell him that you are, he wants to make sure. "Promise?"
"I am. Are you?"
He squeezes your hand. "I am now."
Roe
As the company's medic, he's the first to arrive when he hears someone yell for help
But he feels like his heart stops beating when he realizes that the person who's hurt is you
For a moment he freezes. Spina is by his side, asking, "Do you want me to take this one?"
Somehow, that spurs Gene into action, helping patch you up as quickly as he can
Prepare to have your own personal doctor for the next few days, because he's constantly checking in with you to make sure that you're okay
"I never doubted that I would recover," you joke after the war is over and everyone is more capable of talking about certain events. You offer Gene a smile and a wink. "I mean, how could I not heal with the world's best medic taking care of me?"
No matter how much time passes, it never fails to make him blush
Welsh
No okay but I feel like he would be a lot more calm than everyone expects?
Like, the other officers don't know what he's going to do when he hears the news, but they feel like Harry is going to run off to find you the moment they tell him
He does leave when he hears that you're hurt, but he handles the whole thing very well
He asks the medics very clear questions about your condition, asks you how you feel, etc.
It's not until after the war that you find out why he was so calm
"I didn't want to scare you," he admits. "Because it felt appropriate that only one of us could freak out, and as the wounded man, it was your right."
Luckily, you both remained calm, managing to avoid scaring each other over the incident
But not a day goes by, even after the war, where Harry doesn't breathe a sigh of relief over the fact that you're okay
Babe
Who can blame him, really, for being worried after he's lost so many of his friends in Bastogne?
Babe would rush to your side the minute that he heard you were wounded - and he would remain there until he was perfectly certain that you're okay
He would be asking Doc Roe a hundred questions, trying to make sure that you're okay
Probably wouldn't let you out of his sight for the rest of the war. I mean, he almost lost someone else that he cares about, and he's not about to let that happen
In Austria, you ask him about it. You love him, but you feel bad that he worries for you so much
When the end of the war is announced, you can't help but smile at him. "Well, Babe, all that determination paid off - I made it to the end."
"Yeah," he would laugh. "All thanks to me."
He means it as a joke, but seeing how much he cared about you really made all the difference. You kiss him on the cheek. "All thanks to you," you agree
Thanks for the request, Anon, and I hope you like these! 💕🕊️

Hi can I have prompt
#9 with Hook, when you get time!!!
I honestly have no idea how long this has been in my drafts with just a couple paragraphs written, but here we go! Sorry this took forever, but I'm assuming this is the prompt you are asking for:
"Your body is 70 percent water… and I’m thirsty."
Warning: implied smut
Hook is not typically clingy or needy, but lately, he has been touching my back or thigh or holding my hand almost constantly. I am not used to him showing PDA backstage, but he seems to be getting bolder, wrapping an arm around my waist and kissing my forehead whenever he wants. I couldn't tell what had changed until I saw him tense up whenever Wardlow showed up.
--- A few months earlier ---
Initially, Hook and I were just friends as we got our careers started, and during that time, we talked about who we find attractive in the company. He told me Skye Blue was attractive, but obviously, the bro code took her out of the running. I told him Wardlow would make me a little weak in the knees, and Hook kinda rolled his eyes at that.
"Literally, every girl in the world finds him attractive. I haven't met anyone who hasn't said they had at least a small crush on him."
I smirk as I look over at him and shake my head before giggling a little bit.
"Do you think we don't see every guy staring at Skye's ass whenever she is in her ring gear? It's like a magnet to you all, but I mean, I can't really blame you."
Hook gulped as he fidgeted with his bag of chips and offered you some.
--- Current day ---
I smirked to myself as I felt strong arms pulling me back against a solid torso. I looked up at Hook, and he kissed my forehead as we watched the matches from backstage. Wardlow walks by to go warm up, and I decide to test my theory.
"Hey, Wardlow, how are you feeling about your match with Joe?"
Wardlow turns around and smirks as Hook stands a bit taller behind me. I roll my eyes as he slips his hand into my hoodie front pocket and pulls me into me.
"I'm feeling pretty good. I'm ready to get my title back, that's for sure. How are you feeling about fighting Skye next week?"
"Skye and I are pretty good friends, so we are working hard to make sure we put on a good match for Dynamite. Hopefully, this hunk of man meat behind me will be ringside and cheer me on. Right, babe?"
I look up and see Hook smirking down at me. He nods and kisses the top of my head.
"Of course, I'm always happy to be there to cheer you on, sweetheart. Just like you are to me."
I nod and turn back to Wardlow, who is trying to keep his smirk hidden under his hand, watching Hook get jealous and protective.
"Well, you two love birds enjoy the rest of the show and I'll see you next week!"
I smile and wave goodbye to him as I feel Hook's arms loosen slightly around me. I take the chance to slip out of his grasp and go find a snack in catering. Skye is sitting down eating, and as I turn around to see Dante and Hook talking, I decide to sit down with her.
"Skye, we have to make sure our match is top notch next week. I know we will kill it, but I think I have a plan to get Hook to confess to his jealousy."
Skye leans in closer as I tell her my idea, and she laughs as I tell her what just happened with Wardlow.
"Oh, Hook, such a sweet, jealous little puppy dog."
We talk for a bit longer before parting ways and finishing up the show as I plot against my boyfriend.
--- Next Week ---
I'm backstage warming up for my match against Skye when I see Wardlow walking by and deciding to ask him about his ring gear. He seemed a little confused, but I just whispered, "Just go with it," and he nodded before telling me about the velvet fabric and why he likes it. Hook came around the corner and saw you looking at Wardlow's phone as he showed you pictures of his different gear color ways.
"Hey, baby girl. Do you want my help stretching out?"
I smirk up at Wardlow and nod to him before responding.
"Of course, babe. Wardlow was just showing me where he finds his velvet material for his gear."
Wardlow puts his phone back in his pocket before waving and telling me good luck.
I roll my head around and start to stretch before I feel Hook start massaging my shoulders. I lightly moan as my head falls back against his chest. He chuckles softly as his hands travel down my back. I stretched for a few minutes before laying on my back and focusing on my legs. Hook kneels down and helps stretch my hamstrings as he teasingly rubs his hips against mine lightly.
"You better stop that. I'm not wearing a thong or anything under my tights, and I don't want to look like I've pissed myself."
Hook laughs as he switches my legs and leans forward. "Well, then, you need to stop being so sexy in your gear."
After getting fully warmed up, I grab Hook's hand, and we walk backstage to get ready to go out. Skye is walking out to her music, and I am trying to get into character as Hook slaps my ass before we walk out. I roll my eyes at him and walk out to my music before walking around the ring and looking around at the crowd.
Hook stands ringside nonchalantly, watching as Skye and I lock up in the center of the ring. We hit a few of our signature moves before Skye goes to bounce off the rope as I rear back and hit her with a lariat like Wardlow does. Skye sells it as I turn to look at Hook. His eyes have narrowed at me, and I smirk before going for the Redrum and making Skye tap out.
The ref raises my hand, and Hook grabs my other hand to help me celebrate. Once the ref lets go of my hand, I pull Hook in for a passion filled kiss, and he happily obliges before helping me out of the ring. I jokingly jump on his back, and he quickly catches me before giving me a piggyback ride all the way through the tunnel. He sets me back on the ground before pushing me up against the wall.
"That was not the match plan you told me about. Where did the lariat come from?"
I shrugged and let my fingers start to trace his arms.
"I've been getting tips for it from Wardlow, so I tried it out."
Hook involuntarily let out a low growl at the other man's name. I placed my hands on his chest, trying to calm him down.
"Down boy, it's no big deal. It's not like it ever finishes the job, unlike someone else's move..."
Hook sighs and tries to hide the smile peeking out.
"That was quite the surprise to see you do the Redrum. I'm pretty impressed with it."
I slid my hands up to cup his jawline as I leaned into closer, lightly biting my lip.
"Lariat might look good from afar, but goddamn that Redrum always makes me finish... the match that is..."
Hook captures my lips in a kiss as he presses his body into mine and hikes one of my legs up and around his waist. He lightly rubs his hips against mine as we both start to get more needy by the second.
"Your body is 70 percent water… and I’m thirsty, babygirl. Let's go back to the hotel where I'm going to make you finish over and over again."
He pinches my ass making me wiggle out of his arms and giggle as I go get my stuff out of the locker room and prepare to leave. Hook goes to catering to get some snacks that he knows we will need between rounds later. Wardlow walks up to him and pats him on the back.
"Your woman has a mad lariat. She did amazing out there tonight."
Hook nods and grabs a couple extra water bottles.
"That she does, but she also knows how to use the best finisher."
Wardlow smirks and chuckles lowly before gently turning Hook to look at him.
"That girl is crazy about you. She talked nonstop about you when I was helping her with training. Trust me, you have nothing to worry about with her. Now, get some good fuel because I'm sure you two are going to have a long night."
Hook laughs and bro handshakes with Wardlow before placing all the snacks in his backpack. He starts walking back only to find me waiting for him in the hallway, playing on my phone. He interlocks our fingers, and we walk out to the rental car, ready for a really fun night.
