Thinking about how in the book, after Eddies house was burnt down and his dad left him to deal with cops and potential murder charges, Eddie goes to Rick for a job.

And how Rick, without hesitation or question, immediately offers Eddie a safe place to stay if he needs it. He gives Eddie his first stock for free to give him a foot in the door.

And wondering if thats why Eddie headed to Ricks cabin to hide. If thats why he seemed ao familiar with it- maybe he’d taken Rick up on the offer of a safe place to hide out a few times.

Maybe when shit got bad and he needed somewhere safe, somewhere he felt welcome and didn’t feel like a burden on Wayne.
