O WISE RENFIELD. GIVE US YOUR NOSFERATU 2024 THOUGHTS

Cinematically amazing. The lighting was inspired. Knock's actor had such incredible bodily movement and control that I accepted him as the Renfield character instantly. He gets it.

When Orlok said he was an appetite I KNEW I this movie understood what it was all about. And he was not a "safe" desire, Orlok is want at its most impudent with no regard for humanity or life. That being said this is not Dracula to me and I think that's important.

Catharsis was always going to be too much for Ellen to bear, and yet no one could do it for her. She cradled and embraced this vile thing that was hers alone, and told it "more" anyway. I love her for it. Everyone's breakdowns were so incredibly understandable and human, yes even and especially that one.

And I think we're thematically blessed that Ethel Cain's new album is out at the same time as this movie. Go listen to Perverts and know that's what I think of this movie.

One of my favorite bits of early CCC is when gil is pretty non-chalant and unapologetic about losing his power, directly admitting it and pushing the responsibility onto Hakuno to fix him up, but then later in myroom he shows that it does actually frustrate him and he's annoyed with himself

You know, while I was playing CCC I've noticed that Gilgamesh at first tries to show himself being the perfect and invisible king that has no flaws and is completely unbothered by everything. Even his manner of speech is completely relaxed with a small playful undertone and being sarcastic and at some point self ironic when he was talking about being weak and calling his body "saggy flesh". This whole situation was like a game for him where he was able to kill his boredom but as the story progresses he gets more serious and also opens up to Hakuno. Like you mentioned he gets frustrated for being weak and throughout the game he never forgets to remind Hakuno to keep his rehabilitation.

Also during another moment at first he said that he's the most perfect being in creation but when he was telling his story Gilgamesh apologized to Hakuno for lying to them of being perfect and said that he wasn't always being perfect and the same thing was with immortality herb. At first he mentioned that he just gave away the plant to the snake but later he accepted that he screwed up and lost the plant. And I remember how someone mentioned that Gilgamesh opens his soul proportionally to him changing his outfits. At first he was fully armored and he was keeping his distance from Hakuno, then he got his night emperor costume and at the same moment he started to open up to Hakuno even more and so on and so on until in the end he showed up in front of Hakuno completely naked as if, metaphorically, showing his trust to them by exposing his body and his soul.

Have you ever watched Over The Garden Wall? I think you'd enjoy it, it reminds me of something Jon would like for some reason (especially episode 2) and is overall very enjoyable. can easily be watched in one sitting as if it were a movie :)

what are your thoughts on foxhound era ocelhira? or just any era after mgsv

Ahhh there is so much they can do immediately after v. Have a messy public breakup on top of the canon breakup. Get together because Ocelot has scrambled his brain too much and is miserable and Kaz just wants to watch the world burn (results in the same messy breakup too. probably). What does them "coexisting" post everything in v even entail. Most of what I wrote down (and haven't finished don't come at me) about them at that time is pretty depressing for them both. I had an idea of them having to deal with a revived Volgin again, that I talked a bit about in the last paragraph here, which was supposed to have a kind of reconciliation between them at the end.

I don't really have many thoughts on them during the Foxhound days specifically, I don't think. One that I had was them secretly teaming up to kill bibo, but that's really far from the canon territory, I was just thinking that it could've been fun to watch them work together at a later age. The other was about transfem Kaz and Ocelot meeting after some years of not seeing each other and mostly just reminiscing on their shared past. I thought about Ocelot coming to kill Kaz and then staying with him a few days because Catherine is there for the holidays and Kaz asks to let him get things in order before he dies. I'm leaning towards them running away together in the end because canon has enough people being miserable, but I am aware that's not up everyone's alley. Oh well.

📚 Is there a fanfic or fanfic writer you recommend?

It's so hard to recommend just one!

However, if I were to scream about one fanfic from the rooftops it would have to be To Write Love on His Arm by ScribbleScrabbles on AO3

It's a beautiful fic of my rarepair (Alistair x F!Trevelyan). Basically, Alistair and Trevelyan are soulmates, and are able to communicate with each other by writing on their arms. It starts before the events of DAO, carries on through DA2 and into DA:I. It hasn't updated since summer but it's a fic I think EVERYONE should read because the concept is just so delicious and UGH.

This fic changed my life. rewired my brain chemistry. I will NEVER be over it. I will spend the rest of my life obsessively reading it again and again and waiting for the next update if it ever comes. I will never shut up about this particular fic. It holds such a special place in my heart lol.

I'm really curious about what Capcom has planned for the all Re characters' endings. For example, I'd like to see old characters retire and their children become new characters. Especially Chris and Jill's children.

Hey there Nonnie, I used to be on the train of the next gen kids of the protagonists being the next set protagonists but given the characters' ages now, I don't see them having children of their own.

Don't get me wrong, I love playing around with headcanons/AUs of them having kids but canonically I don't see it happening. I think any dreams or even thoughts about having kids has been long sacrificed to continue their careers and their lives to fighting against bio-terrorism. I think they've seen way too much horrors that they wouldn't want to bring a child into it. The responsibility of their children's safety and constant worrying while they're away on a mission while their children are back at home. I think they wouldn't like not being around to raise their children b/c their careers are so demanding. I don't think they could just easily retire from it either. Like I'm sure they've had thoughts before like "Fuck it, this is never-ending, what's the point of doing this anymore?" but they can never sit back long and let it go. So they do the fighting so everyone else, which is the average civilian can live their lives. I can see them retiring from the front lines of battle when they're physically not able to do so anymore but they'd stay on as advisers or commanders off the field and stay at HQ. That kind of thing anyway. If any next gen kids take over imo it would be Sherry, Jake, Moira, and Rose. Not sure if Moira's younger sister Poly would join in or not. I'm not sure how Capcom would end some of these characters' journeys to be honest. I don't think it would be a total Disney happy ending but nothing too grimdark. 🤷

These are just my 2 cents anyways, I certainly don't speak for others and certainly not Capcom.

OH MY GOSH HEWWO!! Let me just *scrambles to find my notes* alright so going down the list I’ll start with Eclipse!

Eclipse✨: Here’s so basic info I already had written down

• This Eclipse is from my security breach au called Won’t Die, they end up being one of Gregory’s protectors in it.

• I said they’re fusion of Sun and Moon and I mean that literally, in this au Sun and Moon are two separate beings in their own body and they literally combine together to make Eclipse.

• They’re kinda like Opal from Steven Universe in the sense they have a very one track mind and tend to focus on one thing and end up forgetting about other things they were meant to do

• They’re move around in the same creepy manner that Moon does in the games

• They’re 9’1 ft tall (not including the rays)

• They technically have 3 tails, the two ribbons on their backside and the hood of their lil cloak can move around like tails and the ribbon ones are strong enough to pick up Gregory!

• They are very willing to fight and or destroy stuff in order to complete their main goal

• They’re very protective and very strong (examples vvvvv)

The White Rabbit 🐰:

• So his name isn’t Sunny bunny, I just call him that to differentiate from my other Suns, he’s from my wonderland au and in it he’s either called Sun or the rabbit

• Sun is really kind to children but HATES adults, in fact he’s murdered multiple before in very gruesome ways, never in front of kids tho

• I want to make sure you know he genuinely cares about kids and loves making them smile whether it’s by doing fun activities with them or doing something silly to amuse them

• Him, along with most of the others from wonderland, want to kidnap kids so they can entertain them for forever, he actually lured Cassie (the Alice of this au) into wonderland without her knowing it was a trap

• He’s very manipulative and persuasive, this is how he helped keep kids from leaving wonderland in the past and how he got Cassie to help him in freeing the residents of wonderland

• He genuinely doesn’t think murdering people and kidnapping kids is a bad thing

• He’s an animatronic but he’s also semi organic

• He has a magical ability that lets him shift into a smaller form that looks like a rabbit(I sadly haven’t drawn it before), tho it’s smaller then his normal size it’s actually just a bit bigger than Cassie (she’s 3’9 ft for reference)

• He’s like 6’5 ft?? I never really figured out his height but it’s around that

Hallow 🎃 : Here’s some info I had written already

• The au Hallow is in is my seasonal au, basically magical creatures are the living embodiment of each season and of the four elements, other creatures there are also the embodiment of different things too like Hallow being the embodiment of Halloween

• The farm they live on isn’t in the human realm at all but is instead in a realm where magic and such run wild, the farm is ran by Maple (my grim Foxy) whose the embodiment of fire and autumn

• Hallow can only go to the human realm on Halloween but normal animals and humans are able to cross freely tho the areas to do so are very hidden so humans very rarely encounter the magical realm

• The character Hallow is most similar to is Jack Skellington, they’re both the embodiment of Halloween, tall spooky looking guys, mischievous, kind, and protective of their friends

• They can open their mouth and they have a very long goopy black tongue, I sadly don’t have a drawing of this but I have a drawing of a different character who has a tongue that’s similar to Hallow’s just not goopy like theirs is

I'll be honest, it's pretty much all down to my personal feelings on the series. He is my favourite, so I want him to be happy and survive. I also personally feel like his death was too predictable, and him staying alive would overall be more satisfying to the plot and his own character arc. (Again, these are my personal feelings on the series.)

imo, I don't see how gojo surviving would make the story pointless. When I say come back, I don't mean I want him to suddenly return and then magically resolve the plot and save everything. I just want to see him come back and get to be happy and stand alongside his students :,)

i imagine if he does come back, it will be at some cost. He could come back but at the cost of nerfing himself (ie: the popular theory of him losing one of his eyes and a binding vow of some sort) that way he can't just fix everything and the other characters still have time to shine.

It would also be interesting to see how he'd adapt to such a big change. tbh I was really hoping to get to see him fight alongside his allies. A fight w him and yuji vs sukuna or something. It would have been satisfying from a character perspective abt him not having to do everything alone anymore bc the allies he worked so hard to raise are now there by his side 🥲

So that's kind of the direction I mean when I say I want him to return. I'd like his story to continue, with him getting to mentor his students and getting to watch them grow and surpass him just like he wanted them to. Him getting to see his dreams finally come true 🤧

....lol also part of me always saying he'll comeback is also just kind of a running joke/meme with some of my friends

We haven’t had a D-ranked magician arrive in Shibuya in quite some time. When dealing with travel between worlds and with space, time as a whole is a wholly intangible concept. The time between worlds rarely if ever often syncs up together. While my second sight had warned me of the arrival of the Mage, it is often too far out, or too sudden to accurately pinpoint without deliberate analysis. It is fortunate that I have had centuries to practice narrowing now what signs to look for with a new arrival from the OutSide. 

Thankfully, the traveler in question is someone I am familiar with- one Fai D. Flourite to whom I have considerable experience with traveling across worlds. While his personality appears on the surface to be amiable, the curse that rests on his shoulders remains unbroken. It seems that he has not yet arrived to that place yet. This is both comforting but dangerous.

It is uncommon for curses to span across worlds, but this is a unique situation to which it is unwise that I mettle with. It is magic that is foreign to this world and it's ecosystem. Introducing any sort of magic on that scale poises vast environmental and societal risk of collapse. I will, however, provide a ward to the Mage to wear to lessen the impact of his magical influence within this world. This should help the stress on his soul as well as not not interfere with the curse.

The following is what I understand to be the constraints of the curse that have to be followed:

If the curse bearer encounters a being that is stronger than his current magical abilities, the curse will activate and cause him to attack and kill the one who is stronger than the curse bearer. 

The beings must be in the same plane of existence for the curse to be activated. 

Those beings who are stronger than the curse bearer but are not magically stronger than them will not activate the curse. With that note, one can exist within the world and have magical abilities and not passively use them and potentially cause the curse to activate. 

Because of this, I have taken precautions to my own safety and opted to interact with Flourite under the safety of the UnderGround’s authority. It is my first and foremost priority that I keep Shibuya safe from the potentially lethal risk of this visit. While I have every belief that the Mage has no intention to harm those in his company, the curse that he bears most prominently is something I must take immediate action with. Intention does not equal control. What happens when the curse is activated is unpredictable.

The Dimensional Witch intentionally directed his travels towards me on account of a debt being paid off. This is not unusual for her as she has done this before. Based on the density of Flourite's soul, there appears to be more trauma since the last time we encountered each other. I will be keeping a close eye on him for further notice until the debt is settled. Should there be continued degrading in quality of the Mages soul, I may need to authorize measures to keep him from destabilizing. 

I will not allow the Composer interfere in this matter.

Oh those are some great names! I ended up going with a different name (Chaya) but I did consider these (really good names but weren't the vibe for some reason) but I really appreciate it! Thanks! :D
