Sorry random thought but the discussion I see around labru being "yaoified" or "fetishised" bc of the height difference and whatever makes me go like... Kabru is canonically short. It's not bad in itself to depict him as short. He also canonically has soft features and is quite lean. It makes me think people think of shortness + petiteness + transness as inherently emasculating and it says more about them than labru. Kabru isn't even "feminised" most of the time he's depicted with body hair etc. I've SEEN the difference in other fandoms. Feels weird to witness that criticism for this in particular

Rose and Kanaya aren’t copy-pasted stuffy, classy, boring, loquacious, vaguely-British rich girls. Dirk talks nearly the exact same way as Rose does, but he’s allowed to be funny, lovable, and a main character most likely just because he is a guy.

Rose isn’t going to be a therapist for your fave and their relationship problems. She used fucking armchair Freudian psychology largely as a joke when she was 13 years old. She mostly used it to call her friends gay. (If you’re taking Freudian psychology seriously to begin with, I don’t know what to tell you.)

Kanaya isn’t this well-composed, uber mature, mysterious maternal figure who keeps her cool 24/7. The poor girl is an awkward mess and has social anxiety. Huge autism vibes. She’s petty. She is 13.

Fanon Dave is nowhere close to how Dave acts in canon and at this point DaveKat has been so neutered and yaoified that the characters and dynamic aren’t even recognizable as the source in any way, shape, or form anymore. I don’t know how this happened. What the hell happened there?

On that note, fanon DaveKat has become so far removed from canon that people have largely lost sight of what made their relationship so fun and appealing in the first place. It’s so… Boring now. Their dynamic is peak “boys will be boys,” not a Hallmark movie.

Rosemary is significantly more important to Homestuck than DaveKat ever has been or ever will be. I’m sorry. I don’t know how to tell people this nicely. It’s just facts. This is textual facts. miyuki is so interesting because we dont get to see most of what he thinks, but from what we do get to see how he thinks and how he acts is so different like theres strategic purpose behind it mostly but i think especially as the series goes on and he becomes captain like i think that gap only gets bigger... the scene with kuramochi and miyuki in the yips arc where miyuki says two different things like its so insane. also the gay reading of that scene makes me lose my marbles slightly like you gave kuramochi sghit for caring about sawamura when he cant pitch right but truly you do want him back you want to cvatch for him again and like all prioritizing the team over individuals aside you really truly care for him like AHHHHHHHHHHHH..... like i think people who over yaoify dna are weird and gross for the most part but not going to lie they are a little gay. sorry. miyuki in particular like when i go through the dna tags and see so many x reader freaks talkinga bout f!reader x him like girl.. a) he's literally a high schooler be normal im begging b) he would be a terrible boyfriend all he thinks about is baseball basically he doesnt even have other hobbies like sawamura or kuramochi or anyone like that guy is kind of a loser and c) HES SO GAY BRO like did we watch the same anime. that guy is. wait hold on
