just occurred to me that puberty blockers can be used to form a new era of "castrati" singers with 100% less permanent damage to your body. is this ethical? dubiously. is it interesting philosophically? certainly. will it make certain opera enthusiasts begin sobbing uncontrollably? absolutely.
