me when i ask the dictator of my country's totalitarian government very nicely if he would stop committing atrocities please and he stops because my beautiful speech reminded him of his tragic backstory wherein he fell in love with a beautiful man who left after he joined the Fascists for Fascism society (after which point he started committing war crimes on his own people)

#sorry guys but if you INSIST on writing about colonisation and genocide in ur kids cartoon #i dont expect the resolution to involve the hero nicely asking #THE DICTATOR for peace #obviously words have power but not usually in that context... its more likely if your character is a public speaker #they would like. lobby another leader to help in their cause for justice #if you want to go the 'no killing' route #but. insisting that the marginalised people of a corrupt evil government just havent asked nicely enough yet is SOOOO. sooooo tone deaf lik
