How are you doing?

hey! I am doing much better these days, PMDD is kicking my butt every month still but I am doing pretty well considering. I had to reduce my hours in work to help reclaim some of my life that PMDD takes but it helps a lot so I am very grateful I am able to do that. I got married last year and now am living with my spouse so that has been a dream come true and is such a big help too! I still have way too many hobbies and counting (thanks neopets) for my time available but I am slowly rotating them all and making the most out of my time finally!

I am really sorry that I was away for so long. At the time that I left, I was just so overwhelmed due to my PMDD getting worse and becoming unbearable, working whilst ill, trying to catch up on work / life missed due to ill health etc. and it all got a bit too much for me. Even the thought of coming back to the blog after a couple weeks was too overwhelming (because of how I was running the blog at the time). Later on I had also deleted Tumblr from my phone in an attempt to reduce screen time but it meant that I stopped using it completely and I regret that it largely contributed to me staying away for so long.

I want to give this blog a big old reboot and get it up and running again but I realised that I need to change the way that I run the blog. Previously I had this HUGE backlog of submissions that caused me to have to spend hours and hours one day of my weekend to get through so many submissions. I wanted to just power through until eventually I’d get to the point where I’d just be able to handle submissions as soon as they come in then and there but there was just too many and it took too much of a toll and I hit breaking point. :(

So I’ve decided to just run the blog now how I've always wanted to - by dealing with submissions as and when they come in and opening/closing submissions to keep it to a manageable level (I'm sure this is how other blogs do it, I think I am just dumb lol). I will also post them immediately as and when they come in and only use the queue if I’m going to be posting several posts in a row to avoid spamming. It just means posting will be a bit more sporadic sometimes that’s all. However, in order for me to do this, I am going to have to omit the backlog (for now). I can always go back to the backlog and shave some off if I can handle it (or please feel free to resubmit anything I've not already posted).

I’ll make a new pinned post in a couple of days explicitly explaining the new changes to how the blog will be run behind the scenes, although honestly it’s not going to affect much on you guys side of things, you will still see the same content and submit the same way. I just want to add a rule to say please do not submit more than one post a day and that I’ll open/close submissions to keep things manageable. Submissions will stay off until that post comes out so just bear with me (🐻) a little longer!

Hi, I really loved your old youtube channel. You did such an amazing job of documenting all of Astarion's scenes and everything was so well organized. First off, thank you so much!! I was really excited and anxious to release pt. 2 of TD - Enemies for a while now! I'm so so glad you liked it! I hope pt. 3 will live up to expectations.

The beginning scene of pt. 2 takes place right after Leo's first mission. Leonardo had already been injured and patched (enough) by the time the TD!Mad Dogs (Raph, Donnie, Mikey, April) confront Lt. and Brute like they would originally in 'Origami Tsunami.' Leo was sent back before he could actually fight with them.

Leo's injuries didn't anything critical, but it was still quite bad. If the Mad Dogs caused this, the story would be going in a different direction.

With what Leonardo knows, it feels one of the more likely options. Unfortunately, currently, that still sticks inside his mind.

Glad y'all caught onto the importance of the hand-marking very quickly! I'll save more info for later, but I love all the theories and analysis on it! :D

OK so fun fact: I wrote a scene where Hofer walked in on them in Book 2. His response was basically "I do not give a single minted damn what you two were doing in here but for the love of CHRIST would you SHUT THE DOOR NEXT TIME?"

I do not know why I cannot find this scene in the working draft. Past me thought it needed to go.

Sullivan used the phrase "single minted damn" in a scene I wrote yesterday, and I thought that was cute, because he and Hofer do use each others' turns of phrase, but now it's not in the manuscript anymore, so it hasn't been appropriately setup, and I'm rethinking my entire career as a writer based on the fact that I wrote one (1) oblique reference to Hofer walking in on Royston blowing Sullivan that I then deleted.

Anyway.

TLDR: He would swear, lecture Royston on basic human decency and the purpose of firmly shutting a door behind him, and then continue on with whatever he came in there to annoy them about in the first place.

They shoot ‘Nobody Like You’ and ‘ICY’ music videos here and it was their already third time to come here. You was preparing for shooting new show when your manager texted you all in your group chat.

“Yuna and Y/N, you need more screen time with each other, skinship and fan-service included”

You looked up at Yuna, nodding her in agreement. She happily nodded, clapping her hands. When you all were ready to separate in teams to choose an item to remember, you were in pair with Yuna and Yeji, Lia, Chaeryeong and Ryujin together. Remembering your manager’s words, you hold Yuna’s hand in your, smiling at her. You both looked in each other’s eyes as you felt third pair of eyes look at you.

Yeji didn’t liked idea of skinship and fan-service already, trying to look away from you, making herself look busy with choosing place where to go. Choosing friendship items was a torture for Yeji as you both looked like a lovey-dovey pair, almost kissing each other. Maybe you got into role too much as it really looked like you were dating with Yuna. Already had enough of this, rushing to you when Yuna looked away, distracted by something.

One camera was still working and pointed right into you with Yuna, when Yeji came in frame. Cupping your face in her hands, connecting her lips with yours, Yeji kissed you in front of cameras. You closed your eyes on reflex, reciprocating the kiss, as Yeji deepened it. Cameraman immediately walked away from both of you, not wanting to disturb you both or just because he didn’t wanted to redo the scene, hoping that when they’re gonna edit clips they would cut it out.

As it turned out, editors didn’t noticed that scene while making final video and your team uploaded video just like that. The first 10 minutes of video seemed pretty normal, but when your fans saw Yeji kissing you, they just went crazy. Spamming in all social media, screenshot of you both kissing attached, posting pics, some celebrated that you were a couple.

Yeji could tell your management went crazy. Deleting the video was too late and the last thing they could do is to confirm your relationship with Yeji. As they did, would that mean that you would spent more screen time with her? She would think about that later, as Yeji had to face with consequences of her jealousy.

The Anatomy of Love will be deleted from Fanfiction.net

Hello, TAOL readers!

I am pleased to announce that I will be deleting The Anatomy of Love fanfic off of FFN! To clarify, I am deleting the fanfic ONLY off of that site. This means you will still be able to read on ArchiveofOurOwn.org (click here for the fic link) which was always the preferable option anyway. There are several reasons why I have decided to delete this fanfic from FFN.

1) There have been a few bad apples on AO3 spamming me with harassing comments (sadly, it’s not con crit). I had to reconfigure the comment settings there so that only “registered users” (readers with AO3 accounts) would be the only ones able to comment. This bars the trolls and haters from abusing their anonymity privilege to harass writers like me any further (or else they get BLOCKED if they continue to try). Unfortunately, this means a few of these rotten apples have hopped over to Fanfiction.net to harass me there now (FFN does not allow writers to disable Guests from reviewing).

One example of one of these trolls who have so much spite in their life that they waste their time and energy to chase and harass is none other than our pitiful Guest, SQUASHA! She whines that I delete her “”reviews”” because she acknowledges how bitchy and pointless they are. She also whines that the pacing between Kakashi and Sakura is slow and vexatious and complains that I say I am excited to write real sexual content for our lovebirds but that I always just tease it. Now, yes, I have since deleted that review from SQUASHA (again) because it is indeed bitchy, pointless, and serves only to complain (again) rather than constructively criticize. But also because I believe poor SQUASHA is very confused and possibly forgot that I explicitly mentioned in bold words at the very start of the fic that The Anatomy of Love is a slow-build longfic. It is also highly possible that readers like SQUASHA are completely new to fanfiction and do not understand what is a slowburn and what it consists of. So essentially, SQUASHA is complaining that this slowburn fic is being… well, exactly what it is and exactly what she knew from the start what it was (assuming she took the time to read my A/N at the very start of chapter 1). So with trolls like her running from AO3 to lurk on FFN now (actually, FFN has always been a cesspool for trolls due to lack of moderation), it’s one reason I am deleting this fic here.

2) Another reason I’m deleting this fic is because for some ridiculous reason, FFN has decided to screw over both readers and writers with the changes in their Email Opt-in system. From now on, readers and writers automatically are opted OUT of email notifications. In fact, you should take a look at your account settings right now because the change has already been made for you. FFN has changed it so that you have to manually opt IN to receive email notifications and then from now on you have to re-do that again every 6 months. Or else after 6 months it resets your settings to opt OUT of notifications. As someone who barely touches FFN and barely looks at my inbox, this isn’t very appealing for me.

3) FFN does not allow links or images. The Anatomy of Love is full of bonus content in which I like to link reference images for Sakura’s outfits, fanart that readers had made or commissioned, and deleted scenes that I link at the end. This is one reason why I have always encouraged readers to read this fic on AO3 instead so that they have access to all that bonus content. On FFN, I can’t do that. I have to jump through so many hurdles just to hint at where readers should go for the bonus content. It makes posting a chapter on FFN very tedious work for me.

4) I already barely touch FFN - and it’s a huge reason as to why I never reply to any of your guys’ Reviews (sorry about that, btw!). FFN was the first site I used to post fanfiction when I was a pre-pubescent teen. I’ve since graduated to AO3 years ago though and I find that site so much easier to navigate and curate my space. So deleting this fic from FFN is actually very beneficial for me in many ways.

So with all my reasons listed, I want to add that I will be deleting this fic from FFN at the end of December. That should give anyone here ample time to see this note and bounce over to AO3.

Again, I barely touch FFN so if you have any questions or concerns, you are more than welcome to hit me up on Tumblr or Twitter. It may take me a while to respond since I’m just not big on social media in general, but you will at least get a direct reply from me compared to on FFN.

Stray Gods review

So I just realized I never made a review of this game even though I spammed everyone with gifs/images from it (sorry not sorry)

Tldr: it’s a good game. If you like musicals, good voice acting/singing, new spin on Greek mythology, interesting musical mechanics, and visual novels you’ll probably like this. Has a few flaws like the lack of a skip button during the music portions for replays. Also it’s very gay and Persephone has me in a choke hold.

Longer slight spoilers review though nothing major about the plot:

Music is good. The game has a very interesting mechanics to have your choices affect the song and I found myself replaying songs multiple times and still missing variations. For example, during “challenge the queen” if you choose red/aggressive options, Persephone like wise reacts aggressively while if you chose charming/green options, Persephone reacts accordingly. It’s a really cool mechanic. My personal gripe is that you can’t skip any lines during the song and so sometimes you have to listen to the the lines a lot before you can get to the variations. For example, “the trial” has a long intro/middle/ending segments that you cannot skip, are the same lines with no variation, and must go through every time. You can only skip talking dialogue.

The artwork and voice acting is great and I absolutely love the character designs, Persephone's in particular. She looks So Cool. Everyone did a great job vocally.

There are 4 love interests: Freddie, Apollo, Persephone, and Pan though it's a bit uneven gameplay wise since Persephone has more songs than the others. I found her route the most fun to replay through since she has the most variations due to having more songs. Freddie would be second for plot reasons.

Plot wise, it's a bit on the simple end and rather predictable who the culprit is even if you don't know the why/how. The world building and lore though is great and i like this retelling of Persephone's story.

Other minor annoyances is that there isn't a dedicated chapter/replay scene selection: You have to reload checkpoints in your save which will automatically delete anything after the save.

The game only has 3 save slots so you'll need to manually move them to an external folder if you want to experiment with other routes without rewriting your initial saves.

Overall it's great and I recommend giving it a try.

In case it wasn't obvious from the asks (it absolutely was) please don't mind whatever changes you come across on the blog itself, whether it's fonts, small edits, masterlists, or deleted posts. (posts, not fics <3). I haven't had the time to take care of the blog and I hate how messy it's gotten.

I wouldn't even notify anyone about the edits in the fics, but I know some of you reread them so even the small changes will probably be noticeable. Please don't worry though, definitely not removing anything. It's stuff that bothered me like punctuation, paragraphs and etc. If anything, I ended up adding a bit to scenes that felt rushed.

Canon barely exist for me and i can (and will) change character's traits freely. Can make aroace char into rose romantic and pan, or make any character aroace too. they're fictional after all! Can go with aus too (swaping characters, or making demon character angel etc).
