Mike Nesmith on the ‘Fairy Tale’ commentary track:

Nesmith: You know, Peter Meyerson wrote this particular show. And the um, the… the thing that I… Y'know, I kept… I had really wanted to have some sort of creative input into the show, and I just never was able to do it. Until we had this meeting about this show, and I said, "Hey. Maybe… maybe I could play the princess!" 'Cause they were thinking, y'know, who should we get to play the princess? and I said, "How about me? I can play the princess!" And… it really sorta lit my fire, I thought, "Well good, I'll get into this. I'll have a good time! I'll uh, I'll just uh… I'll see how this... how this goes." So in some weird way, this particular show was the most fun that I had the entire time I was doing the series.
