the problem with my family is that they’re incredibly pop culture illiterate but have no idea so they think that I’m making crazily esoteric references that are actually really well known. yesterday I was talking about my dad being autistic and I said, he’s not Sheldon level autistic—and every single person said WHO? and I said Sheldon, from big bang theory. and my sister was like, literally no one knows who that is. but of course I look insane if I start screaming: everyone knows who Sheldon is!!!! everyone!!! bazinga!!!!

#this is how everything goes down btw. when I got really into saw they were all like. no one has ever even heard of those movies #THERE WERE LITERALLY 9 OF THEM!!!!#90% of my issues stem from being treated like a pretentious insane person for making references to. idk. house m.d.
