Book Tag
(I may or may not have snuck myself into this) @thatgirlreads, this looked like a cool tag so I’m going to pretend you tagged me? (Forgive me)
1. Diabetes - a very sweet book:
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I absolutely loved this book; it’s both sweet and utterly realistic. Perfect for a rainy day!
2. Chickenpox - a book that you read once and will not read again:
House of Furies by Madeline Roux. It was good but it wasn’t great and it really didn’t hold my attention like I thought it would. Which was a disappointment since it looked good but wasn’t.
3. Influenza - a contagious book that spreads like a virus:
Oh man, A Court of Thorns and Roses. The author is hella problematic but it became a guilty pleasure? (I like it, it’s not my favorite, but eh) And while I started drifting away from the series, I got my friend into it and it quickly spread through my friend group. (Only a few have continued, the rest of us moved on but man, did it catch on)
4. The Cycle - a book that you read every month, every year, or very often:
This is a hard one. Probably Panic by Lauren Oliver. I haven’t read in a while, but there was a time where I’d check it out every month at the library because I related heavily to the main character.
5. Insomnia - a book that kept you up all night:
All of them. The good ones; in other words, there are too many to name. I tend to finish books in a couple hours and have a habit of starting them at night.
6. Amnesia - a book that’s been forgotten and failed to leave an impression on you:
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I honestly don’t remember a single thing about the plot besides red blood and silver blood??? Idk
7. Asthma - a book that took your breath away:
ILLUMINAE BY JAY KRISTOFF AND AMIE KAUFMAN. It’s beautiful, formatted in such an original way, and it felt like there were three plots going on at once, which was awesome. Also The Martian by Andy Weir. To this day, I adore it. I unfortunately gave my copy away and I need to get a new one because this book is too good to not have on my shelves.
8. Malnutrition - a book that lacked food for thought:
All of the books that come to mind also answer amnesia....so again, I’ll just say too many to answer (Plus, I don’t remember their contents so I can’t accurately say if they lacked food for thought or not)
9. Motion Sickness - a book that took you on a journey through time and space:
Revenger by Alistair Reynolds. A sci fi that was fun to read, not the best, but I really enjoyed it and would 7/10 recommend. The Martian (again) And The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
Okay so, that was a lot of fun. I don’t have a major following of booklr (I’m mainly a writing blog, lmfao) so @booksaremymeth you might find this fun And I tag anyone else I hijacked the tag, you can too :)
