Yo, seen your blog and it’s super cool. I’ve been kinda wondering what you think of Soren because his character has been confusing to me, I’m not the best at reading characters so I apologise but he’s a coward, he feels lonely, he’s tired of being used and thrown away apparently and wants to be more than the architect??? I have no idea what he’s like. If anyone has any other inputs on Soren please put it in
Okay I'm answering these out of order because the others I'm going to draw, but this one.
you've come to the right person!
when it comes to soren's character, he is a coward through and through so you have that right. What it is is that back when he used the Command block, he thought it was the best way to deal with it, and only had to deal with his mistakes after when he used it in shame. It was like wanting your friends to be popular in school so you lie and say " yeah we met the president " yk. It was wanting to bring everyone up with him.
Of course, we know he's shameful about it. He couldnt handle the guilt of what he had done with the secret, and was sentimental, which is why Ivor was able to keep all of their stuff. He ran away to the one place he messed everything up and lived there. Yeah - he went a little bonkers in missing the sun, but the fact he never wanted to plan to come back really hammers that home.
Distracting himself with everything else. Hes kooky like that yk
I personally believe that he holds remorse but wouldnt go back on it BECAUSE it makes him look like a coward. He denied being one before running away.
They needed someone to idolize - the people. To have someone to keep them safe and believe in. Whether it gets muddy over time or not, it never mattered, because they needed something to believe in.
That's why I believe he never told anyone.
Shame? Yes. Pride? Also yes.
Let the image the public has of you in their mind stay that way and not know who you really are, because they need someone to look up to. Who better than the people that killed the ender dragon?
Canonically, hes got so many secrets. Soren - the architect. Builder of Worlds. That speaks for itself.
so like .. I hope this made sense because he's my favorite out of the order. I hope it helped a little.....

Nothing built can last forever. And every legend no matter how great, fades with time. With each passing year, more and more details are lost until all that remains are myths...half truths. To put it simply, lies. And yet, in all the known Universe, between here and the Far Lands, the legend of the Order of the Stone endures, unabridged, as self-evident fact.
Indeed, it is only a troubled land that has need for heroes- and ours was so fortunate to have, so long ago, four heroes such as these: Gabriel the Warrior- before whose sword all combatants would tremble. Ellegaard the Redstone Engineer- whose machines would spark an era of invention. Magnus the Rogue- who would channel his destructive creativity for the benefit of all. Soren the Architect- builder of Worlds, and the leader of the Order of the Stone. These four friends together, would give so much to gain their rightful place as four heroes.
Their greatest quest would take them on a dangerous journey to fight a mysterious creature known as the Ender Dragon. In the end, the Order of the Stone emerged victorious and the dragon was defeated. The story complete, they slipped away into pages of legend.

Soren is totally an Admin in disguise. Maybe more powerful and coming before Romeo, Xara, and Fred.
People typically theorize that Soren could be an Old Builder which is fair, but like, he's called the "BUILDER OF WORLDS"—you don't give that title to some guy who's really good at building stuff!! His books are everywhere too (even in Fred's Keep which I thought was pretty big), so clearly he's explored other worlds or even created them.
He's like Romeo where he creates and does stuff for the funny and watches how the little mortals fare with it. That whole thing he had with the Endermen and studying their behavior—it was to show that he's being doing that with humans!
Bet he created the Command Block too. Hmmm yeah I'm gonna throw out all reason and say he caused both games' plots, Season 1 & 2, just indirectly.
Can you imagine the goofy, cowardly liar was actually the playwright-director-actor this whole time? God it'd be so funny

Hello mcsm community
It's been years since i've played this game and I started crying when I figured out you can't play it anymore then started crying again when someone told me where to get s1 and s2 for free so that has sparked determination in me.
So, I have come to tell you I will finally contribute to this fandom. I am writing a season 3, where Romeo is still an admin. It's an au where Romeo made a deal with Jesse after realizing he might actually not win. The deal was that he would give Xara back her admin abilities and not kill anyone (and/)or destroy people's homes and he would get to keep his abilities. Jesse has the golden gauntlet in case he goes rogue.
There will be two versions, one with male Jesse and one with female Jesse, they have very different personalities. I'm using my own versions that I used. Each chapter will be 15k or 20k words, still haven't decided. I want to make them longer than my usual works.
Fem Jesse went with Petra after the Romeo situation was fixed, enough, and put Radar in charge. Male Jesse stayed in charge. You can probably guess why. (Fem Jesse is with Petra, male Jesse is with Lukas)
It is mostly centered around Xara, Romeo, and Radar but everyone else will have their moments too. It goes more in-depth on the other worlds through the portal network too, and Otto and Emily as well as the old builders world will be there a few times. So will the Sky City people and their new cities. The underground might be in there too.
I saw a post on here about shipping Nell and Xara and honestly became obsessed so...Xara is with Nell. Romeo will be with Radar after getting over Fred because Radar is my favorite and who doesn't want to start dating the emotionally constipated god that almost killed you, your friends, your townspeople, the world, locked a bunch of people under bedrock and started anew, killed their husband out of rage and confusion, locked up their best friend also out of rage and confusion, and hated you for about three months? It's fine tho he made challenges for them. Because he feels bad. And helped rebuild. Because he feels bad.
And there's FUCKING SOREN and his DUMBASS BOOKS as a treat. And Isor.

MCSMtober Day 17: Favorite Ship
Hadrivor [Hadrian x Ivor] (Minecraft: Storyshifted Mode AU)
Tumblr media
@bumpkin-bug
Explanation! [This is gonna be a little long, sorry!] This ship is from a swap AU of mine, Minecraft: Storyshifted Mode. I've posted about it vaguely before but now feels like the appropriate time to reveal some other things about it. The primary idea behind Storyshifted Mode's is "What if certain events in the timeline happened differently?"
So, for the Old Builders, it was instead Harper and Otto that got lost in their power, grew bored, and began to change up the Games in a terrible way. On the other hand, Mevia is now the bystander and Hadrian was the one to steal the Redstone Heart and left. Isa and Soren still left as well, but took opposite portals than they did in (semi-)canon. Isa entered Jesse's world and Soren entered Sky City's, leading to Isa becoming Isa the Architect and Soren becoming the Founder. For the Order of the Stone, for unknown reasons, Ellegaard and Magnus went into different lifestyles. Magnus was more interested in engineering (although he remains laidback and goofy) and Ellegaard was more interested in destruction (although she remains calculating and awkward.) Gabriel and Ivor, though, remain unchanged. Ivor was always going to leave due to the fraudulence. Gabriel was always going to agree to hide it.
A side effect of these swaps is, well, Hadrian x Ivor, also known as Hadrivor, GamerJuice, or GFuelShipping. Despite how goofy it is, it has quickly become one of my favorite ships and thus why I chose it for this MCSMtober prompt. This explanation was a little longer than I was expecting but…. yeah! Enjoy!

Hey guys I just noticed something
In the intro to mcsm, we get the introductions to all the members of the order of the stone right? But one is a bit off..
Tumblr media
"And Soren the Architect, Builder of Worlds."
Builder of worlds? Like.. an Old Builder perhaps? And we all know that Sorens books are EVERYWHERE right? So here's what I'm thinking, what if Soren is an Old Builder. Ivor knew about the Old Builders, quite a lot actually, but how? Maybe Soren told him about them but didn't say he WAS one? And how did he have so much knowledge? How did his books bet everywhere? And also we can forget how Harper also had a world she looked after, what if the world where Mcsm takes place, is the world Soren was looking after? What if Soren is an old builder that is just never talked about? Why else would there be so many books written by Soren EVERYWHERE, basically in almost every world. AND ALSO I nearly forgot to mention, how did Soren know about the command block or how to use it? How did he even get ahold of it? So many questions, all left unanswered,,
Who IS this guy? Where did he come from? Where did his knowledge of the world come from?

Here i go, flip-flopping from thought to thought!
Anyway, i had an idea. A story set post-s2, if Jesse stayed in Beacontown. Jesse doesn’t permanently stay in Beacontown, he’ll go visit Olivia or Axel, maybe Jack and Nurm will invite him on an adventure, maybe he goes with Petra on a few of her shorter adventures.
Ivor really does look for all the members of the old order (no one dies, fuck canon) and actually has some success. Magnus and Ellegaard are in their respective towns. The only problem members are Gabriel and Soren — Soren went missing again after the Witherstorm event, and Gabriel is trying out being a “wandering warrior”.
Ivor focuses on Gabriel, as he would probably be the easiest to talk to (regarding Soren’s prior frustration with Ivor). He eventually finds him when Gabriel comes to see how Beacontown is doing (“I looked all over the damn world just for you to be here?!”), so the only one that’s left to find is Soren.
He’s not in his fortress,
He’s not in the end,
He’s not even at the former order’s old meeting spot (ignore me forgetting what places are called).
So Ivor, having looked everywhere, tries the portal network, and lo and behold, there he is.
Yes, this is an old builder!Soren au. Yes, it is going to turn into something similar to the second half of s1. Because i LOVED the idea of the portal network, and i want more. I may write a fic, but i may also just explore this through art and crazed rambling. Who knows.
(Please ignore any and all typos/grammatical errors, this was written on adrenaline and boredom)

I can just see domino effect play out starting from when Gabriel meets Hadrian and Romeo. Romeo’s got no admin powers but he’s still an evil gremlin and Hadrian just escaped with Mevia. In walks in Gabriel who helps them and tries to get them to go good and then they both fall in love separately (Mevia is totally teasing Hadrian). Gabriel then reunites with Ivor, the two catch up and Gabriel talks about the people he met and formed a crush on and the names mentioned made Ivor spat out his drink and do a double take; “S-sorry… I think I misheard or perhaps I’m mistaking someone else who shares the same name. You said that you like Hadrian and Romeo?” “Yes, I did. Hadrian is a skilled builder, it amazes me how fast he can build with the resources he has and while Romeo is quite dramatic, he’s also funny at times.” “… Gabriel?” “Yes?” “THOSE PEOPLE ARE DANGEROUS!!!” “What? But they’re very nice and give great hugs. Sure they can be violent at times but they’re not too bad.”
Ivor flips his cauldron in sheer anger shock and disbelief and the protective instinct he thought had died in him cracked up through the roof. He’s shaking Gabriel, trying to convince him that these men are people he should stay away from but poor Gabriel and his darn optimistic golden retriever personality thinks that they’re alright and can improve which only makes Ivor panic and dread even more. He knows for a fact that this is a result of the order because Gabriel wasn’t like this and now that he’s left without supervision he got mixed into a bad crowd and Ivor is berating himself for thinking that Gabriel would remain the sanest, he was so wrong.
And so Ivor drags Gabriel to Beacontown and calls an emergency meeting with Ellegard/Magnus, Jesse’s gang, Harper, Otto and Xara to discuss the problem and needless to say, everyone lost it. Petra is in disbelief and denial, ready to shank a man, Axel and Olivia are completely baffled because why Gabriel?! Why those two?! There are better fish in the sea that give better hugs! Lukas is watching this all unfurl, gobsmacked and shaking unable to get everyone to calm down, Jesse’s trying to stop the old order from going on a killing spree, Harper and Otto are worried and Xara who started believing that there’s food in the world again, took one look at Gabriel, the man who somehow reminds her too much of her friend Fred and goes, “Alright, screw it. I’m going to murder Romeo. Who wants to join me?”
“I’m gonna make them regret getting close to my innocent boy!”
“Ivor I’m around the same age as you!”
“No, no, absolutely not! I am not letting those guys even lay a hand on my dad!”
“Wait, dad?”
The commotion gets so loud other people hear it and subsequently started freaking out because what the heck Gabriel. And later on, in the depths of the end Soren has been training the enderman to pick up more blocks, picked up a paper from an enderman who brought it alongside the block and screamed across the dimension, “GABRIEL HAS A CRUSH ON WHO?!?!”
Dear Anon, I don't know who you are, I don't know why you doing with, and I don't know what did I do to deserve this, but two things I know for sure: THIS IS PURE PERFECTION AND I LOVE YOU!!
My poor pillow got beaten up while I was reading this bc it's freaking funny, hilarious, silly and so on, and on, and on!
At this point I really think that Hadrian and Romeo are the ones who's in danger because- look at the gang. They aren't joking. Someone's going to be murdered.
It's also funny how I've come from talking about RomeoXGabriel with @yourdarlingwarrior to talking about polycule between Hadrian, Gabriel and Romeo with you. When I joined the fandom, I couldn't imagine I would have a chance to even open my mouth abt something like that.
And Soren's screams in the End are pick of humor. Old man hoped at least one of his friends kept his mind, but no, no he didn't. Oh gosh, what have he done?
You know what else is funny? How those two gremlins probably will do everything in their power to annoy each other. They both have "god-complex" and whole Gabriel is someone who gives them "admiration and attention they deserve", for each other they are more like.. "Who is this fool trying to imitate my greatness? And what is he doing near MY diamond admirer?"
But since Gabriel loves them both, they can't hurt each other bc he'll get sad. What now? Of course they will piss each other off.
"Wdym your house was blown up? Idk watcha talking abt."
"Huh? What was that? You fell into the hole full of slimes? Aw, poor thing."
And so on.
So our golden retriever wet puppy dog Gabriel sits there, pets his doggy (who's name prob Lucky or smth) and talks to Nurm cause he's the only one who kept his sanity unlike others (Jack lost it after Petra told him what's going on cause "THIS? THIS RED MAN? GABRIEL, I THOUGHT YOU WERE A SMART WARRIOR-").
Pure chaos. We can see here pure chaos of a big and strange family, chat. I will never get tired of talking abt them.
Anon, have my best wishes, good day/night, luck of life and ect. because I love you!

to some its weird thinking of ages for the main cast in mcsm, but i have my theories (headcanons that i use to make sense of the story and how i choose to perceive it)
new order (jesse, lukas, olivia, axel and petra) all act like most people in their late teens/early 20's, or at least the minecraft equivalent. still excited about things like conventions and idols, and also worrying about their social image. they want to be cool and to be known as something other than a loser
ocelots/blazerods are mostly the same, if not a slight bit older. i think gill's the oldest because of that fuckass facial hair. sir please razors exist (hopefully?)
old order is like. the middleground. late 40's and just barely trudging into their 50's while thinking they have a solid retirement plan (lying to the world and being cheaters). that and soren has that 'middleaged man mania' as i like to call it. Old builders maybe just a bit older because I believe in ivor and harper love.
admins are god they don't age. but i hope romeo DIES
Aside from making the storyline kinda make sense, it also makes a lot of petra's character make sense. She's always been perceived as the dare devil, the adventurous one. Getting wither skeleton skulls, somehow achieving a nether star (for the ocelots beacon in ep1), and eventually assisting in defeating a witherstorm. She's used to the adrenaline and energy, so of course in s2 when everyone starts to actually have responsibilities (being mayor, taking over a town from a late order member depending on who dies, and having a career), she feels left out because she's used to adventuring with others. Depending on the route the player takes with jesse, they can either hate their duties as mayor or love them. but it's mostly a sign of people growing up and having responsibilities.

okay i had to rummage around and find the password to this old account to get this out there because i thought too hard about this dumb little block game and now i need to get this out there. if this is well known now (idk i haven't been on tumblr in years, who knows what's been happening) then oh well, i'm a fool. still wanna put my thoughts out there tho
so all throughout Eps 5-8 of Season 1 of MCSM we get hints here and there for us to put together that Soren was an old builder. yeah i know, old news, whatever. but in Season 2 Ep 4, we find one of Soren's books in Fred's house after we win the trivia contest (or lose and break in, whatever) called "The Brave Little Enderman" or something like that, right? as Jesse reads it, it seems pretty amateur for a "great author" like Soren, and also, how the hell did Fred even get his hands on it in the first place?
Well thinking about it further, in S1Ep5, Ivor mentions that the Old Builders existed even before the Order of the Stone (go figure), but then someone else (i think Jesse as one of the dialogue options) says they didn't know there WAS anything before the Order. This implies the people and history of this world, as well as the world itself, is very new.
This actually lines up with my thoughts, as I think Fred (and possibly Romeo and Xara idk) met Soren and the other Old Builders before the Underneath and the Sunshine Institute got bedrocked, and gave them access to the Command Block in the first place, with Soren giving Fred one of his first ever books he wrote as thanks.
Then after the events of Fred dying, Xara losing her powers and Romeo bedrocking everything and creating the new current world, Soren moved in from the Old Builder's world as one of the first people to live there. He then assembled the order, and the story pretty much goes on from there.
I thought way too hard about this and it only took, what, several dozen rewatches of playthroughs for it to finally click in my brain what happened? I care about this game way too much lmao
idk if @stirpicus still responds to questions and theories, but if he gives this a read and puts in his two cents (whether its confirming or not, i understand he likes to keep things cryptic so fans have fun interpreting things their own way) i honestly wouldn't complain
thank you for coming to my TEDTalk.

Opinion on the headcanon that all of the important lore groups are the way they are because of the command block? Like, it existed before the admins and they got their powers in the first place from it. Then the old builders got ahold of it and used it for all their magic items and exploration and instating respawn. And then Soren left and took it with him to end up in Jesse’s world to make the Order of the Stone. And then the Witherstorm happened causing the New Order of the Stone to form. And now it’s gone. And each of the leaders of each group lines up perfectly with one Alice from the song Alice Human Sacrifice in chronological order
I like it a lot!
In my brain, the Admins all have some kind of gem that gave them the powers but thinking about it now, it could have very well come from the command block! After all, there a different coloured squares on them, what if those are the gems that fell off?
But I could definitely see this, after all, the command block is this all powerful thing that should be unattainable! So making it be the cause of the events is quite cool! But how did it get there in the first place? My take? Herobrine! In my head, Herobrine likes to play around with things, which leaves behind strange anomalies, such as random holes in the ground that reach the void and so on. He probably used the command block to do so, and once he noticed humans in the woods he tended to hover in, Herobrine decided to leave some of the command block's gems to see if the humans found them.
This is the same for the Old Builders but this time he went one step further, leaving the entire command block to circulate around and cause mayhem.
I love that song sm!

Dewey IS the life savior!
Like that you made me remember that in my opinion Gabriel is, like, the richest out of the Order? C'mon, he's the only one going around, making those speeches and stuff to earn money. And my personal hc that he's extremely lucky to find diamonds..
Imagine Gabriel being not just Dadbriel but sugar Dadbriel for Old Order! Extremely funny considering he looks the youngest among them! Xd
Or or here me out, he goes back from mines all sad and stuff and Soren asking "What's wrong? Didn't get anything?", then Gabriel answers "Nah, I got some stuff, but I wanted iron." Magnus pops up his head in doorway "So? Got only coal?" and Ellegaard behind him "Or redstone? I could take it". Gabriel sights heavily and pulls out, like, stack of diamonds or so "Just diamonds! For Notch sakes, I needed iron and not that stupid stuff-" and goes aggressively to his room, while whole Order looks like bunch of deers in headlights.
I'm rambling about Stoopid stuff over here
- Mr. C
I dont mind!! I dont get super interacted with much so I love this
reminds me I exist and I'm real lol.... <- sorry that's just my humor
Oh my GOD That is So funny. I like the hc that he's REALLY GOOD at finding diamonds. it's like the midas touch but diamond.
In my personal opinion, (and arguably the less original idea), I think soren is the richest. Purely because brother has a MANSION and also hes the builder of worlds.
he got rich because I GAVE HIM THAT MONEG because I LOVE HIM. I LOVE YOU SOREN MINECRAFT!!!!!
Thinking about Soren losing money over the years when he goes into hiding and just surviving off his fortune, and Gabriel, doing the wandering warrior thing, is just LOADED.
Jesse's like hey ivor!! hows the reconnecting going!! and ivor's like. oh, yes, jesse. Gabriel had a gift he wanted me to give to you
HANDS HIM TWO DIAMOND BLOCKS??????????? HUHHHHH???? then ivor proceeds to complain that yeah Gabriel had way too much and though you could break the blocks down for a new sword. and jesse's just like. IVE LITERALLY NEVER HELD A BLOCK OF DIAMOND BEFORE IVOR I LIVED IN A TREEHOUSE WITH MY PIG.

do you have a guide as to the extra materials for The Dragon Prince? i keep seeing stuff about comics or books but idk where to start
Not on hand but I can make one here! :D
There are two, soon to be three, canon graphic novels.
Through the Moon takes place between seasons 3 and 4, like a little season 3.5 It isn't Necessary to read it before watching S4 but the story is cool and the extra information is neat. It feels like we might get more info regarding what happened to Rayla while she was gone later in the show
Bloodmoon Huntress takes place when Rayla is a child around when her parents leave. Lots of Runaan and Ethari, also introduces Kim'dael who will be in S5. Again, not Required reading but a fun extra story.
Puzzle House is coming out August 1st and is about Claudia and Soren as children, and we also get a look at younger Viren and other people. Harrow's father, King Atticus is still king in this one so interesting Katolis lore, SUPER hyped for when we get to read all of this one. The Scholastic link has a 15 pages preview if you wanna take a peek.
There are novelizations for Dragon Prince Season 1 and Season 2, they add a bit of introspection and small extra details. Viren in particular gets more of his internal thought processes laid out and for me it just Confirmed a lot of things. Season 3's novelization is coming out April 2nd, 2024. I'm sure all 7 seasons will eventually have novelizations.
Tales of Xadia is the ttrpg book and it's gorgeous and is probably the most lore heavy supplemental material as far as world building goes. The system also looks fun! The website has a character builder too for OC making. As a writer, it's been a great help as far as seeing some aspects of the world laid out. The system looks fun and there are videos of some of the cortex(?) team playing ToX official tales/campaigns but I haven't watched them yet. The campaigns are also available to look at online too.
I think that ToX is getting an expansion at some point since the base game doesn't touch much on Ocean or Star magic, I imagine due to spoilers for the seasons we're coming up on.
There's also a tabletop game called Battlecharged which I haven't personally played and I don't think it Adds lore but I've heard it's fun.
Also, it will likely be a long time before we see it, but there's a video game in the works as well that's in alpha testing right now called Project Arcanum. Wonderstorm is pretty busy!
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE
The Free Stuff:
Reflections are official short stories hosted on TDP's website and all of them are excellent and provide little extra scenes. Some of them are quite impactful, and the ones in this second batch are promising an absolutely wild S5. The first batch was released pre S4 and the second batch is being released now pre S5 as we count down to the new season. They aren't Required reading since the most key information from them will be in the show (going by the S4 ones) but I highly HIGHLY rec reading them all. Banger after banger. As of posting this there may be one more coming.
There's also little 4 panel comics called Everyday Xadia that have been also released during countdown mode and they're just fun/cute. Volume One and Volume 2 (still coming out). Sometimes when people say comics they might mean these, or the graphic novels lol.
Thank you for the ask, I'm always happy to share the TDP love and I hope this was helpful to you and anyone else who'd like a ref!

i don't know what compelled me to do this but here's a list of how mcsm incorporated and expanded on elements from the game and mc community!!!
along with aspects of how mcsm was written that i really like!!!!
allot of the following will be taken either from things i noticed in the game itself and things the head writer @/stirpicus's blog from like. years ago
so first of all, i love the direction they went with in mcsm. for the time it was made, you'd think they'd make something relating to Alex and Steve and even herobrine, or even the popular overworld vs nether trope that was around, BUT NO!! they introduce a new set of characters in an original setting with its own story
and having the ender dragon already be beaten and a finished arc is a breath of fresh air in my opinion
so instead they took the second(?) strongest boss, mixed it with the command block which they made stronger/more powerful than it already is and made the wither crazier than before, thats just fucking cool
the (old) order of the stone are awesome too, they took different types of mc players and made them into a group of heroes!!!! and it isnt the usual group from nowadays, like sure a warrior and an alchemist are typical but they threw in a builder, an alchemist, and griefer!!! thats fucking awesome!!!! and ivor as the alchemist isnt even the biggest fighter (because he's fucking old) which i love, they use his other characteristics as an advantage. before the ninja arc obviously
AND THE ORDER'S TEMPLE AND THE TRACKING MAAAPP!!! i love how they used and expanded on that feature
SAME WITH THE RAILWAY SYSTEM!!! TO TRAVEL LONG DISTANCES IN THE NETHER!! i wish we got more of that x(
now this might be biased cause i don't like ep2 thaaatt muchhh, though it deserved so much more when it comes to redstonia and boomtown, tho the concepts alone are really creative
only thing i can point out from ep3 is the grinder from soren's fortress, and how its just the actual mechanism to get loot and xp in game but on a larger scale. and the fact that the amulet doesnt work in the nether/end like any other tool of that sort!! small details!!!!
and this is just my opinion but soren's studies on the enderman feel like a jab at those enderman related theories from years ago xd
the far lands. i just really love that they added the farlands in ep4 was it?? and i love how they utilized the aspect of enchanting weapons, which they kept it as epic as in ep4 x(
the portal arc.. I LOVE THE PORTAL ARC. SO MUCH. it uses allot of aspects outside of mc survival like mini games and the community itself!!
like. episode 5 is literally just sky block, obviously. and it's got spawn eggs, which without the world build in the network would've been hard to implement BUT THEY STILL MANAGED TO ADD IT IN!!!
ep6 is murder mystery with some iconic mcyt. literally what more do you want!!!
ep7, pama's inspired by players who make redstone computers in the game like said here!!! thats so fucking cool!!!!
EP8 COULD'VE AND SHOULD'VE HAD SO MUCH MOREEE!!! and its inspiration is obvious too; the different mini games in mc and respawning!! i love that they added respawning in at least one episode
like the way they took elements from and outside of mc survival is so creative, especially with how they were implemented (even if sometimes they weren't accurate) and all the world build!!!!
season 2's more focused on the idea and limits of creative mode or the idea of a "god" in mc, and definitely has its fair share of world build, which is still really cool
i actually like how they went about revealing the admins and their connection to the overworld without it messing up the lore in s1 or having it come out of nowhere in a bad way!! like old OLD myth turned real trope worked out well here
also it felt like the sea temple scene was foreshadowing the aquatic update that was to come in mc at the time!!
and one thing about the sea temple, when the origins of the world and the admin were being explained, i'm pretty sure they mention how "the world was flat until the admin gave it hills and trees" and stuff, referencing both super-flat worlds and foreshadowing the bedrocking event!!!
and idk how many people actually know this but the structure block is an actual thing in mc?? i did NOT know about that till recently it's embarrassing
might just be me but i like to think that the original mobs romeo makes are also a subtle reference at mods and how people can mess around with that kinda stufff.... idk tho
from this point on i can't think of anything else in s2 that i could put in this ramble, but overall, mcsm writers and develops were fucking geniuses and i love how they put everything together ^_^ ty for any1 who read this far, and feel free to leave your own insights!!!!!

MC:SM Headcanon Dump
Because I'm bored.
Not only does Lukas write books, but he also writes songs.
As I said in my karaoke post, Soren taught Ivor to sing and dance. The two of them were a traveling, performing duo before the formation of the Order of the Stone.
Ivor and Harper got married less than a year before the events of Season 2.
Harper lives with Ivor in their lab, but she often goes to stay with her friends in Crown Mesa.
Ivor is neurodivergent.
Otto is fascinated by the Admins. When the Old Builders were building the Portal Hallway, he probably received messages from Admins that told him how to get the portals to their worlds to work. He wants to learn more about the Admins.
In a universe created by Admins, this technically means that Otto's, like, super religious.
Gabriel speaks Villagerese.
The blue portal in front of the staircase simply leads you into the Old Builders’ world, rather than directly to them.
After the defeat of the Witherstorm, the White Pumpkin, PAMA, et cetera, there came about a time of peace. In that time, many new people spawned in, so the worlds' populations grew.
The Blaze Rods did lots and LOTS of community service while they were in jail.
Once they were done with that, they settled in to help the people of New Sky City get accustomed to their new surroundings. Aiden got to work on a memoir about his jealousy and redemption.
The citizens are now much freer.
Milo helped build things and set things up around town. Meanwhile, Isa went out to explore with Benedict. Maybe, she got to know some people that live in another biome.
New Sky City is just sky-themed, rather than literally in the sky.
New people spawned in Cassie Rose's world, and they built their own city around the killer mansion, which was turned into a totally harmless resting place.
Their city has a "spooky fun," Halloween-ish vibe to it.
While refurbishing it, they may have been clued in as to who Cassie was, and so they're keeping an eye on her.
Crown Mesa got bigger over the years as the citizens repaired the damage from PAMA and found more resources.
PAMA's remains (the side of the mountain it was on) were turned into a concert venue.
Crown Mesa now has a sci-fi Western kind of vibe. Like, a futuristic version of Rango, if you've seen it.
Whenever Otto runs out of ideas for events for the Games, he lets the competitors and gladiators decide. Often, they come up with their own events to play.
When Stella changed her ways, she let Champion City's residents create and build whatever they wanted. At first, they didn't know what to do or where to start, so she helped them find inspiration.
There are now signs put on the portals by Otto and Harper to help them get around the Portal Network, now that they don't have the Atlas with them.
When Romeo found Xara, she was totally conked out in her bed, trying to catch up on all the sleep she lost over the years. While he wants to try to make things right with her, he has the sense that she won't be very happy to see him once she wakes up.
The Sunshine Institute? It's gone. Forgotten, defunct, abandoned. It's merely a playground for mobs now.
The Underneath is still inhabited, though. Some of Fred's people went back to their homes after their time on the surface.

Alright people, let’s discuss how that would even work. What is the potential for dynamics. The tree house gang and the ocelots being noobs who are planning to get to the pro layer as opposed to having Endercon? The order of the stone being famous pros who did that once before? Uh . . . Romeo being the parkour champion/Seawatt? Like, you could combine their characters to get interesting results. How does Petra fit into this. Maybe the noob who’s the closest in their layer to getting to the pro level? Xara lives in that prison for people who fell out of the world and have to spend their days testing jumps. Fred is the parkour god. The Old Builders are those people on the layer above the pros. I don’t remember what it’s called, and I’m not watching Evbo’s videos again with his stupid voiceover and his incessant need to constantly state the obvious. Soren is one of those people, but he fell to the noob layer, and that’s why he and his new friends were able to make their way to the pro layer. He managed to cheat with his water bucket before they found out that he fell and took it away. Do you want art of it? Here’s some shitty art.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I would draw Romeo saying some Seawatt quotes, but I CAN’T FIND ANY COOL ONES. @sangthael, do you know MCSM? Do you like this?
Someone PLEASE make a parkour civilization au 😭
