🎯 - A random sentence paragraph from a random WIP

Across the Hall, I made eye contact with Jackson. He didn't have much context for who Voldemort was or what he did, like me, but he knew how to recognize an Avengers-level threat. The grim look he gave me assured me we'd be having a long conversation later.

📝 - How did you get started writing?

Honestly, I’ve just always loved telling stories. Like seriously, I would get my mom to write down long stories that I told her because I didn’t know how to write yet (side note: my mom’s the best). That love of writing and telling stories never wore off, and I just kept doing it. I think it was around 7th grade (I was like 12/13) when I realized I could write for a career, and that I was pretty sure that’s what I wanted to do. I wrestled for a long time with trying to figure out plot and world-building and stuff for an original idea, and it was kind of an accident when I started writing on Wattpad. I was a big Agents of SHIELD fan, and I was NOT happy with their character arc for Ward. I got bored on a road trip with my parents, and I published the start of Saving Grant Ward on an impulse. I finished it out, and then it was also a pretty impulsive decision to start An American at Hogwarts. I think writing on Wattpad (and now on Tumblr) has really helped me become a better writer, mostly through just a BUNCH of practice, and I’m really happy I started doing that 😄

🎞 - Behind the scenes on Bake Sale (Peter Parker)

So I found the prompt on Pintrest for the whole “I’m baking a cake, get over here now” “...I don’t know who this is but I’m in” premise, and it sat in my drafts for a WHILE. I really liked the idea, but I wasn’t sure how to start it or who I wanted it to be with or anything like that. Originally it was going to be with Thor, since he was the first one that popped into my head for that attitude, but I tried to start writing it with him and it just didn’t feel right. I couldn’t get more than a couple sentences in, so I just left it for a while, and then I eventually picked it back up with the idea of Peter Parker being the person on the other end of the phone. I really liked that idea, and the whole story just like... happened, really quickly. Inspiration struck, so I decided to go with it, and now it’s a nice little two-part Oneshot 😄 It may also be getting a third part some day, but no promises on that one

🕺🏻 - Random rant about whatever pops into my head first:

There are some people in the world who call roundabouts a “rotary”. Sorry in advance if you’re one of them, it’s nothing against you, but that’s just completely ridiculous to me. Why a rotary??? What is that supposed to reference?? I’ve also heard traffic circle, and while I like roundabout better, at least traffic circle makes sense! If you told me to take the first left off the rotary, I would have NO IDEA what you’re talking about. 0/10, not a fan.

✨ - Random fun fact

People in the 1940s were advised to wash their hair once every two weeks, about. I found a YouTube channel with a bunch of those old instructional videos about how to be popular or ask someone on a date or whatever (all from the US), and one of them was hygiene and I watched it to procrastinate work. There was a lot of odd advice in that one, but the “wash your hair once every two weeks” thing was the one that really made me question it 😂 they also suggested you rinse your hair one time in like some water with lemon juice or something? Idk, it seemed pretty sus.

❤️ - My fave character from anywhere

You’re gonna kill me with this one 😂 I have a bunch of favorite characters and they’re all for like, different reasons, but if I had to just pick ONE I’d probably say Wonder Woman, Diana Prince. It’s a crazy hard choice, but I love how strong she is and how unapologetic she is about it. She’s just completely herself, and she’s a warrior while still being kind and compassionate. I have a lot of favorite characters, but I really appreciate her.

Honestly, this one’s like a throwback fixation, but I’ve been re-listening to all the One Direction almbums and just feeling so nostalgic. Literally, their music is pretty much all I’ve been writing to and doing homework to lately 😂 I honestly forgot how good it was! Super miss them as a band

Whenever I get bogged down with writer’s block or homework or anything else, you guys are the reason I keep writing and coming back to ideas.
