@liketwoswansinbalance this is a swap AU. My head spins with it. I am curious to hear from you and maybe @discjude what you think other swap roles would work here?
Like what's going on with Aric and Japeth? Japeth swapped Rhian and Aric swapped Kei. Now what???
What are the dynamics.
What about Caliss? Is she now the birth mother of Agatha and Sophie? Or is it still Vanessa? Help me I am having a crisis

The twins are identical, this. The twins are paternal, that. BOTH OF THEM ARE A PAIN IN THE BOTTOM!
All of the sge characters approve
------
Do you want to tell me that the first cannon Lesso ancestor we get was a f-ing Peter boy and that bloodline legit survived all the way until Agatha and Sophie made their appearance into the magical world. Therefore you are telling me there is a 50/50 chance that 'Rafal'(Rhian) hired Lady Lesso and was like '...wait a damn minute' and then when he met Aric for the first time he just 'I can't ever get rid of you peter boys huh??? I thought the bloodlines of all of those were severed. Oh well, I assume this means you know how to serve properly. You're hired.'
--------
Whose idea was it that in SGE we get people who have glasses, which is really cool, and we have magic that can literally revive the dead (The zombies, Tedros using the fairy wish or whatever it's called to come back to life) BUT WE DON'T HAVE A CURE FOR BLINDNESS?! (Context: When the coven was assigned to find a new schoolmaster and failed to do so, one of the candidates is mentioned to have been blinded and calls Dot pretty in an attempt to butter them up)
---------
I would like to mention that in SGE all of our favourite/beloved/familiar characters from the first three books end up appearing one way or another down the series. And it is quite literally when they are theoretically no longer relevant that we see their true worth. The school for good and evil? The students basically become the emotional support army of Sophie, Agatha and Tedros (+The coven, Hort, you get the jist of it). The professors? Utterly useless(not the deans) but then when push comes to shove they risk their skins for their students when in previous books they showed no such attributes. Like sure everyone-(well not everyone) was worried Sophie would kick the rocks TERRIBLY but we don't ever see them try to find ways on fixing it like-? And then in the following books Castor helps Agatha and Dot to get from point A to point B without being spotted, Manley gets thrown across the room because he tried to use a spell on the Storian to protect/help the students.
And I think it's just obvious to mention how minor Aric's existence was in the bigger picture before the events of the last three books where it's basically revealed that Japeth was the person who 'We can't imagine who in the endless woods could miss him' and they were right about that. Who imagines a gay unresolved psychopathic tendencies mommy and daddy issues hormonal Slytherin as hell teenager will do massive genocide 'for' his brother to then revive from the pits of hell his very much dead one-sided love that was quite frankly open on how he(Aric) was uncomfortable with their love.
Hello? Help? Make sense will you???
