i feel like im realizing more and more each day just how important it is to create things you're proud of, no matter how small they may seem. making progress on a digital project, curating a room you use often to be more functional or comforting, crafting, coloring, mending, performing, cooking. not every day, but whenever you can. i just ate this ice cream that i made from scratch with hot fudge that i also made from scratch, and i'm really happy with it, and proud of myself for not giving up after my first batch wasn't perfect. cheers <3

#silly little treats #so the ice cream was abt 1.5 cups of heavy cream whipped to stiff peaks plus uhh less than a full can of sweetened condensed milk #and idk how much strawberry but it was just pureed strawberries cooked down until they thickened up a bit #and any leftover of that i mixed with the rest of the condensed milk to make a sort of swirl #however i wouldve been better off leaving out that extra condensed milk bc it added too much sweetness #oh and the little bright pink specks are beet powder that didnt fully mix in but i like it they add a pop of color and dont taste like much #the texture overall is at least 90% perfect as far as ice cream goes. i wouldnt be surprised at all if i bought a tub at the store #and it had this texture. id be pretty happy even bc it's slightly creamier #and ohhh my god the hot fudge is perfect especially to cut the sweetness of the ice cream #i forget what recipe i used but it was evaporated milk and dutch process cocoa powder and a mix of dark and semisweet chocolate bars #and some salt ofc #sooooooo so so yummy i love hot fudge so much
