When you try and introduce a good person to a group of good humans remotely, and realize the best way to make that happen is to crash the holiday concert of these good people. (Yup, speaking of Sons of Serendip, currently on their tour across the US of A) #makingitclearwhoisNOTintheband #sonsofserendip #soldout #luckytogetticketsthankstojocelyn #hadneverbeentothatpartofjersey (at New Jersey) https://www.instagram.com/p/B51vEZfH3rz/?igshid=mgehdkiczkly

The Pace Report: "A Season of a New Tradition" The Sons of Serendip Interview
Happy Holidays! This is a special holiday edition of The Pace Report featuring the quartet, Sons of Serendip, performing from Subculture NYC for their special Christmas show.
During season number # 9 of NBC's hit television show "America's Got Talent" four graduate students from Boston University auditioned and took America by storm to the tune to over 30 million viewers each week. The quartet, Sons of Serendip, brought a very unique approach to contemporary music by way of fusing classical music, gospel, and soul music influences to viewers and now audiences all over the world. The members of this quartet consist of Micah Christian(Lead vocals and keyboards), Mason Morton(harp), Kendall Ramseur(cello/vocals), and Cordaro Rodriguez(piano/guitar). Since their meteoric rise of popularity of their appearance on the show and placing 4th in the competition, Sons of Serendip have recorded two albums, their debut self-titled, "Sons of Serendip," and their latest for the holiday season, "Christmas: Beyond the Lights." They've also been the opening act for soul artist John Legend and comedian Jay Leno. Sons of Serendip also performed a special show with the famed Boston Pops earlier this year.
The Sons of Serendip are currently on the road for a series of special holiday shows featuring selections from "Christmas: Beyond The Lights" to sold-out audiences. The quartet was in NYC recently where they performed with Songs of Solomon Gospel Choir. I had a chance to speak with members of SOS to discuss their latest album as well as the success from America's Got Talent.

Sometimes you meet up with people visiting the big apple because you genuinely enjoy their company. Yet sometimes you make time to meet up with someone because you just know you’ll walk away reflecting on things a bit more, for the better. With Micah - #becauseofhatch - and Jocelyn (whom I finally got to meet!) — it was pretty much both. I’ll still be a fan girl of @sonsofserendip (an *amazing* group to hear live ✨) — but I am a really big fan of conversations like todays that go deep and charge us up collectively to take more initiative in this, that or the other *while the time is ripe.* ⏰ Tick “talk!” :-) Not pictured: the breeze that gave us reprieve form the heat #goodpeople #sonsofserendip #makingtime #theybracedthehumiditylikepros (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1cy9RznV8K/?igshid=3o1aqvx0r9s0

I am extremely proud today of our homegrown musical group, Sons of Serendip. These four extremely talented musicians met while attending BU, studying Theology, Law, Harp, and Cello.  Not only do they wonderfully represent our 2014 Keyword INTERSECT, they also remind us that reaching across disciplines and being open to collaboration often yields the most extraordinary results.
