okay maybe if i tell you all about gin things will clarify for me. so gin's whole purpose in wasuyu is to die so as to. make washio and sonokos lives harder and more tragic?? (not executed well the mourning doesnt have a concrete impact and it never encourages any deeper thought about their situation???). prior to this gin is a tomboyish and seemingly slackerish girl whos charismatic and popular and genuinely friendly. washio describes her as "aggressive" (gin is the first to leap at the vertexes) and gin is shown to have quite a few opinions formed by herself. also she drinks an orb of water larger than her head without breathing. the problem is that conceptually all of this is great but does it COHERE CONSISTENTLY? no!! later washio learns through stalking gin that gin not only has two little brothers who she has to take care of (which is why shes always late) (shes in sixth grade) but is always followed by bad luck that affects people around her constantly??? these are executed in a sort of boring way until the funeral episode. gin is notably less insecure about herself than washio and sonoko and she notices a lot of things about them which, along with her caring for her brothers, elevates her to a more 'older caretaker' ish vibe of the group, despite being a year younger. this has been my interpretation. also they all joke about dating each other or whatever

how the hell does anyone ever write gin. girls will be composed solely of stock anime dialogue

How are you going to incorporate Sonoko into the story?

Sonoko was part of the precure team two times, the first time she was part of the team with Washio Sumi and Minowa Gin

Her nickname was Cure Trust and she fought two years ago and collected the shards of Heartcatch Mirage, but the last shard from the villains themselves they could not get, they lost, and Togo lost her magic, and Sonoko, trying to protect herself and the others, tried to teleport to everyone in the Pretty Cure Palace, teleported only herself, and now does not know how to go back, so her Heart Seed broke during the battle

The second time she became Precure, it was already when she became part of the bouquet club, as the club found a way to get to the Palace and they brought Sonoko home from there and she became Cure Purity, as the tree created a new seed for her to replace the broken one

Now she fights as a member of the bouquet club and is also friends with all the fairies that were created by the tree and she's ready to do anything for her friends and for her city.
