all of the fun of sonoitarou to me is that they're just two guys who are Off from the rest of the world and not even the same as each other but their weirdness complements each other. sonoi doesn't like liars and tarou likes the way sonoi can describe things the two of them can fight and compete for hours and it's fine. they can kill each other and bring each other back and it's cool because they know it's not really personal. they make each other less normal. it's beautiful. why would you not want them to be themselves

Screaming because I immediately recognized the art style of that last sonoitarou art you reblogged. That's a yaoi artist successful enough to have more than one multi-volume work in publication. Every work I've read by them is deeply dramatic. Of course they're into sonoitarou but it still blows me away to see fanart of it in their style

Tbh I'm pretty happy with the progression of tarou rn. I think it just feels weird bc the focus is on the Tsubasa plot which is Not As Interesting so it feels like a deficit of Insane plot.

I didn't really mean so much that inoue "ran out of ideas" with sonoitarou so much as like... That plot line could not possibly maintain the Level it was at for any longer than it Did.

what inoue is currently doing with taro and sonois relationship feels so cheeky…. i dont like to throw the word queerbaiting around because tbh frankly i do not care if its interesting like how it was during the middle and like how it is in most toku seasons like i can fill in the blanks myself, but the way that they have been written in the most recent episodes feels like he’s bragging about making their relationship less interesting like with the “it sounds like hes about to confess his feelings!!” bit from the latest episode its almost comical they did the same fake out thing in bbc sherlock… this isnt what literally anyone wants where is the drama? you are being so annoying make them kill each other again. this arc did not get and will likely not get a proper conclusion and inoue is rubbing it in my face

Real talk, whatever is going on w/ Sonoi and Taro is way different from BBC Sherlock. These two characters are very clearly interested in each other the whole time. I'm sorry that we can't keep everything as high octane as The Taro Juice Arc, but I still don't feel any LESS invested. This doesn't feel like there's "less effort" put in. You're right that just continuing to have them successfully kill each other would just Get Boring.

I don't think everything should be as high octane as the Tarou juice arc tbh. There's Less Effort but it's also less focus. The Serious Plot is focusing on the Natsumi Beast &associates stuff which makes sense, there's a whole cast outside of sonoi and Tarou.

I definitely got less like.. Invested after the reversal arc bc that was when I realized I should not be taking it so seriously. And actually I prefer this style of investment, clown that I am. Red sonoi making everyone do stupid challenges is my ideal form of sonoitarou content at this point

But also I would posit that the current Tsubasa drama is nowhere near as interesting as thr Tarou juice arc.

Where did Sonoi get that HAND KISS move from? Given everything we know about the Nouto and him, it doesn't make sense for him to have thought of that on the spot.

Was he doing research. Did he originally intend to use that on Tarou? Was he reading Manga with Sonoza?
