Happy 39th birthday to Songs From The Big Chair! It was released on February 25th, 1985. It was Tears for Fears' second album with most of their hit tracks coming from this LP.

It includes "Everybody Wants to Rule The World" / "Shout" / "Head over Heels" and the original versions of "Mothers Talk" and "I Believe"

Over the weekend, I went shopping in a nearby town, and heard not just one, but two TFF songs in the wild.

"Head Over Heels" was playing in one store, and then later I heard EWTRTW playing in a different store.

And I thought to myself -- damn. It's been what -- 39 years, this year? -- since Songs From the Big Chair was released.

And still, it's an album that remains in rotation, and remains in the zeitgeist.
