well first of all you can read any of mine sniles so sneetly :)

convenience store dinner by manabox is my favorite. kind of post/mid-epilogue au? hard to describe, but really compact and interesting execution.

leave the lights on any trail to come by featherx is my second favorite (after that im just listing them in any order). mid-epilogue, about lee jihye and han sooyoung and working on a literature essay together.

choice by SonaSona. a possible han sooyoung first scenario.

i saw you in a dream + this isn’t our first time around, both by featherx. technically two separate fics (and i think theres one more in this universe?) about OD and hsy, the first one their first meeting, the second going to a party together :)

to have loved the stars too fondly (lacuna) by qingjing about biyoo and yjhs epilogue space adventures that gets a bit Odyssey about it. super interesting execution.

wanting sanstoi (toxictundra). set during the three year gap, examining yjh and yoo mias relationship during this time. makes me scream and rip my hair out.

Where There’s Smoke by featherx. fantasy jdj au written for the joongdok anthology zine. SO fun and wacky. loved it.

Mortifying Ordeal by WindsOfTime. jdj soulmate au with a SUUUPER interesting/unique soulmate concept. executes their characters pretty decent for the changed circumstances. ill be real i have a stockholm style attachment to it bc the chapters always dropped right before my three hour stats class.

Do you have any orv fic recs

You know, I was setting aside this ask for a nice day where I would tear through the novel and the entirety of ao3 like a ravenous animal, but after six months, I am starting to think that day will always be tomorrow – some moment, always indefinitely in the future -- so.

Certainly there are some things I’ve forgotten, and certainly there are some things I’ve missed, but here I am. Here are some things that stick in my memory, despite uh, 2-3 years of not properly reading orv fic.

Some authors you probably know: stuffandsundry, SonaSona, zxrysky, featherx. They got some bangers in there.

In the Telling by Lisse

A OC oneshot, about a character who supposedly got one line in WOS. Plays around with certain meta themes that I find it really, really intriguing.

all the stars you couldn't see by succubused

A Nier au that I read with zero knowledge of Nier. Nevertheless, a very beautiful story with lots and lots of layers. There are only two chapters. I subscribed to this author specifically for this story. It has been three years.

you got me starstruck by virotutis

Oneshot. Kim Dokja begins the scenarios as a tired idol instead of a tired salaryman. The idea of it amuses me greatly, and so does the fic itself. Prepare to be entertained.

Kim Dokja/Yoo Joonghyuk. In which Yoo Joonghyuk regresses to before the scenarios begin and decides to aggressively befriend Kim Dokja. I loved watching terrified salaryman Kim Dokja run around.

Study Reveals: You can’t suffer if you’re dead by IceBreeze

Kim Dokja/Yoo Joonghyuk. I remember rereading this at least three times in one setting. Very much a crack fic that nonetheless goes into some beautiful places.

The Yoo Sangah Kim Dokja friendship fic. I think of this one whenever I think about Yoo Sangah Kim Dokja friendship, actually! Yoo Sangah aggressively befriends Kim Dokja! It’s great!
