Literally, Kishimoto said: Yeah, Sonic is S I N G L E ...but Amy is THE LOVE INTEREST, his GIRLFRIEND

Like, we can all complain all we want about Amy, misunderstood both Sonic and Amy so they can fit our fanon/headcanons but at the end of the day, she is one of the few people who truly understands him and accepts who he is and doesn't want him to slow him down but being part of his adventures (she already is part of and an important member)

Sonic always comes back for Amy (Sonic x, Sonic Frontiers for saying few examples)

I don't understand why it's so hard for many people to understand this with all the inmense evidence we have about sonamy

That boy will do anything for her and protect her at all cost
