  Truth be told she would not have been surprised if Squall had recoiled from her and her canine companion, closed off to her urgings of physical affection, but this did not prove to be the case at all.

  In fact he seemed rather receptive to it! Angelo certainly was.

  ���She looks pretty happy to me,” she smiled up at Squall, master matching pup with the admiration in those big brown eyes, arms folded over her knees, the glove still clutched in her hand as she balanced herself on her toes.

  “You mean to tell me your surly mug wasn’t enough?” he snorted a little, shaking his head and leaning back in his seat, draping an arm along the back of the chair beside him.

Busted.

  Squall certainly had the upper hand, being the punctual man that he was, but sometimes a man just has to drink a handle of Estharian double-malt whiskey and sing karaoke in Balamb harbor with undergrads.

  His chuckle was sheepish, hand dropping to stuff into his pocket, rocking back and forth on the heels of his boots. “I certainly didn’t undersleep... a man this pretty needs his beauty rest,” he winked. 

 ��Don’t suppose I could barter my way into owning that copy when you’re finished? You don’t seem like the sticky-fingered, dog-earing type, and I’d be mighty chafed to miss an issue in my collection,” he winced in both preemptive hope and pain, ready for either outcome.

“Oh, do I?” he asks dryly, gaze zeroing in on the brunette who clearly had no idea of the headache he was in for.

“Is it my flesh?” He wipes his hand down one ivory cheek and looks down at his hand only to see nothing. 

“Amazing. It’s my flesh. You also have that on your face.”

They literally joined tumblr last night, (or maybe rejoined is the right word?) but I adore them so much already! They are the sweetest, most kindest person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting on this site and they’re just so easy to get along with.
