I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but intrusive thoughts are basically your brain’s (sometimes very upsetting) way of saying “If there were two guys on the moon and one of them killed the other with a rock would that be fucked up or what?”

I’ve personally found that adding the “would that be fucked or what?” part in myself really helps put the more disturbing thoughts we sometimes get into perspective. Helps me say “yeah thar sure would be fucked up” and move on with my day.

It’s not a secret desire, it’s not something that only occurs to you because you’re a bad person. It’s just your brain deciding to process the fact that it knows an uncomfortable thing exists in the world by feeding it to you in an absurd “what if” with you as the main character.

Hello! Thanks for the compliment. I'm always honored to do Destiny Matrix chart readings to people. So, let's just get into it!

By just looking at your chart, I can see that your birthday is on December 4th or on December 31st, that you were born in the year of 2010, 2001, 1992 or even earlier and that your Life Path number 1 in numerology. By adding up all of these numbers (4+12+3+19), we get number 38 and then number 11, which is placed at the center of your chart. That's why the central number is the most important number in every Destiny Matrix chart. Originally, the 11th card in Major Arcana is Strength, representing courage, full potential and physical abilities. With Charles recent story, I think it's time we talk about something that is a huge problem that many don't acknowledge or just that hasn't fully sunk in yet.

But with the behaviour of those disgusting fans, it is once again clear why Sebastian Vettel was right not to use social media until he retired.

The way in which F1 drivers not only can interact with fans but are also "marketed" is a huge contributer to this dismissing of boundaries.

Let me explain.

Lando for example for some of us was literally a twitch dude before an F1 driver. This is nothing against him doing that but it just shows how obscure the drivers have become in the public eye.

I first saw Lando when I got onto Twitch and now knowing what Twitch and streaming is like, I can not believe that he was allowed to do it because boundaries get so blurred there. The line between streamers and audience has become more and more obscure because most streamers either have very small communities where there definitely is a lot of knowing each other to some degree or they are so big but have established themselves that there is a kind of line thar can be pushed. Many streamers will have fans make out of line comments, make inappropriate statements etc. That is because quiet a few streams go off that energy, they use it for entertainment. They know how to play their audience. Lando has never received that because he never built an audience the way streamers did. And now, with Twitch having become so big and for people like me then not knowing that Lando was actual a professional athelet, it is assumed that this kind of energy might also be there for him. Add onto that the fact that there is now a new form of journalism where even non-professionals can push to ask questions about racing and you get absolute fucking chaos because it's kind of blurred between people just wanting to watch a dude stream and F1 fans especially younger ones flooding with race related questions.

And the worst instigator for this phenomenon is also without a doubt drive to survive. The way there are stories made up, fights and radios out of context, the way it is shoot like an actual TV Show to where some people genuinely question if this is about athletes or made up characters, this serious has made the problem far worse especially when they compleltly ignore drivers and want to make some drivers the bad guys when in actuality, there is no fucking bad guys. This is a sport, not a novel.

Sure, there's different kinds of drivers but there's no such thing as a bad guy because this is a real actual sport.

These are actual multifacted people that, believe it or not, can all be assholes from time to time and all will be ugly at some point when it comes to achieving the championship.

But the Netflix has made this straight up fictional perspective of real people, compeltly influences newer fans perception.

The amount of times I have heard new fans surprised that Lance isn't actual dead last every race or Max isn't the devil in person, is genuinely mind blowing.

This warped perception added together with access to social media complelty forges a picture to younger fans.

I don't excuse their behavior but sometimes I admit that it can be hard to realise that this parasonical relationship is compeltly one sided and that actually, you don't know them at all and your entire perception might be based an made up information.

It's the same shit people had to realise when some YouTuber fan bases got out of hand.

Except that it should never be this way because these are athletes. These aren't people who put out content for entertainment, these are actual racing drivers fighting for a world championship.

But, with the way they are marketed and with the way F1 is marketing itself more as a spectacle than an actual racing competition, it's hard to see that especially when you are younger and only just discovering F1.

There's no excuse for the behavior but there is a reason, an underlying problem that needs solving before we get to the point that some YouTuber fandoms escalated to.

There's an issue that won't be addressed because F1 is straining further from a sport and drifting more towards an entertainment show like WWE or just straight up fictional stories.

actually lemme explain them a bit better

1. keep staring and i'll never fall asleep: contemporary fantasy with worldbuilding based around dreams. in the aftermath of the death of an "oneiros" aka a physical manifestation of a dream orchestrated by a dreamer named isaac, which equaled to a natural disasters, we follow adam and piedad. reunited by force after a year and a half since the incident they begin a cat and mouse chase where adam is tasked to eliminate the threat of more oneiroi dying that piedad is trying to protect

2. haze dogs: horror low fantasy. a girl named connor is killed by her classmates and they are all shocked when three days later she comes back like nothing happened. this is great news, though, as their town is h(a)unted by strange otherworldly canines. so, as a solution they offer connor as live bait to keep more from dying. unsurprisingly, people soon start worshipping her

3. hideout: science fantasy... ish?? upper ya. a rewrite of my first serious attempt at a book that i used to post on quotev dot com. follows a group of kids with powers over the elements locked away in an artificial forest meant to keep them in a safe environment. everything is flipped on its head when a new wielder appears with the knowledge of a possible way out that stirs hostility among the original group.

4. the lupine trail: contemporary fantasy, but fantasy only because of the existence within the universe of a massive wolf species thar allows people to ride them like horses. noelle and seneca are drafted into the same racing team as they'd adopted puppies from the same litter years ago. problem is they haven't been friends since high school and asking them to work together is a recipe for disaster. but their team captain is looking for a second opportunity at the legendary lupine trail, a relay cross-country race he lost the year of his debut, and he is not letting anyone ruin this for him.

5. speak, prophecy: low fantasy, queer (aroace). renée is a lonely university student with psychic abilities, especially that of knowing when people will die. her dating life has been a disaster, she falls in love with people on the train all the time but as she gets to know them her desire for romance fades. her social life is a rotation of the people she knows will pass away soon until she meets darcy, a girl she hopes she'll actually have real romantic feelings for.

6. evergreen lung: low fantasy, queer (aroace). ezra is home after passing out in the local forest... except she was gone far longer than she realised. having missed high school graduation she grapples to reconnect with the people in her life as she starts to feel everyone took three steps forward while she was gone and she'll never catch up. especially now that two of her friends are dating and hanging out with them isn't the same. though it's not as bad as the feeling she never truly left the forest.

7. the forest with its teeth: multimedia project, found footage horror (written down). a group of five friends find themselves stranded in a forest with some disturbing folklore tied to it, as the cliché goes. slowly they unearth the true horror hidden underneath, that seems to go deeper than just the knowing stare of the animals and the figure they can sometimes see ambling in the distance.

8. home habitat: literary fiction. having independently run away from home for their own reasons, theo and maripaz meet while homeless on the streets and form an alliance of convenience to survive. and while theo vehemently denies the drug addiction he's nursing, maripaz tries to deal with the way both want and revulsion seem to exist in her at the same time. falling in love is probably the easiesy thing they do.

9. astral convergence: artemis and apollo, famous for their assassination of niobe's fourteen children, are hired by their stepmother hera kill their father—zeus, the king of the gods. narrated from the first person perspective of artemis with apollo as "you", the godlings find themselves in the middle of a power struggle between their father and his wife while dealing with the complicated feelings towards their own divinity.

Controversial opinion but I'm pretty sure that Indigenous North Africans use of the term "Black passing" is largely because we're aware that if we just say Black in reference to any group that isn't considered entirely Black, light skinned/antiblack Indigenous NAs will scream and call whoever didn't kowtow to them the N word. There's like... almost no difference in the fundamental antiblack racism a Nubian experiences vs a "Black passing" Amazigh person. The term is used to try and cater to antiblack INAs by trying not to make them angry when they're already probably gonna be angry because you've usually acknowledged Black INAs as well, and because they're colorist little shits.

I am just stunned how many ppl agree with this because...thar entire thing was cardan and jude being dumb and sad and... okay first thing's first: i'm not trying to start beef with OP (or anyone who agrees with OP). that is their opinion. they're allowed to have it. Jude and Cardan aren't real, but the person on the other side of that blog is.

second. i really only briefly skimmed the post because, honestly, it's the same argument i've seen everyone who doesn't like QON make. they think because Jude wouldn't burn down villages to get back into Elfhame after having her heart broken, she is, therefore, OOC.

let me tell you why i, personally, disagree with that statement. (TW: discussion of mental health and dissociation under the cut)

i'm going to split this into two parts. one is more anecdotal and the other is more character based.

as you point out, nonnie, Jude is strong. she is fierce, she is determined. but again, she is human. with human feelings. teenage human feelings, at that.

anyone who is not convinced Jude would feel pretty shit for a while after going through her first heartbreak is either too old to remember the rollick of teenage emotions mixed with the legless lord of young love, or they've simply never had their hearts broken before.

if the first, they're looking at Jude's situation with years of maturation behind them, years Jude doesn't yet have at that point. i think people forget this sometimes. Jude is just a teenager. and they probably want her to keep fighting because it's what they didn't do, but wished they had.

if the latter..... oh, my sweet summer child.

when i was young and in love (kind of) and then suddenly had everything ripped away from me within the span of a month, i honestly couldn't tell you what happened that summer. because i don't remember. i was backpacking but all i remember is sleeping well into the afternoon almost every day. lashing out at my friends for stupid shit. not eating. taking every chance i could get to isolate myself. being fine one moment, then in the next feeling like i was going to burst into tears out of nowhere. i had my first dissociative episode. it lasted for three days.

now, i'm probably not as scary as Jude. but i'd like to think i'm stubborn and spiteful enough to warrant some shadowy semblance. what i became was not who i or anyone else wanted or expected me to be. i wanted to be angry and rage and seek revenge, but i couldn't. people expected me to get over it, but i didn't. i was just stuck in this awful liminal place.

heartbreak isn't a single moment where your heart is shattered and then you immediately begin to pick up the pieces. that's unrealistic. heartbreak shatters you and then steals what's left away into a dense fog and laughs as you fumble around blindly on your hands and knees, searching for the lost pieces of yourself.

so, as nonnie pointed out, it is okay for Jude to be sad. it is more than okay. it's what we should expect.

okay, now on to my character based argument. to me, anyone who has this interpretation of QON has severely misjudged Jude's character throughout the series as a whole.

it's true, Jude might put on the facade of tough scary lady with sword–and sure, to a certain extent that is part of her. but Jude is not inherently wicked or menacing or unforgiving, even if she can be at times.

just because we can be a thing doesn't mean we are that thing. mere adjectives simply do not have the breadth to define us, your honours. we exist in multitudes, or however the fuck that Walt Whitman quote goes.

i'm not going to comb through the entire series for moments where Jude is not scary or menacing because, frankly, there are a lot. if you're not actively looking for the moments where she is terrifying, i think you'll see her kindness, her gentleness, even at times her grace, quite plainly.

i'd also like to point out that the times in which Jude is any of those scarier things are all when she is literally terrified for her life. it's a survival tactic. be scared or be the scariest thing in the room. easy choice from where i'm standing.

now in terms of Jude's exile, Cardan is a little dumb here, but not in the fanon himbo Cardan way. just in the normal "dude madly in love" way. by exiling her to the mortal world, he thought he was giving her what she wanted: safety and a clever riddle to solve. because she can't break, right?

he also sent her away for selfish reasons. her safety was more absolute in the mortal world and he couldn't risk losing her again. plus, he wanted to show off his cleverness, smug prick that he is.

but what Jude actually wanted were the things he promised her in his vows: to be the Queen of Elfhame, and, ultimately, him. she wanted a place to call home and Cardan by her side. he took the only things she truly desired in the world away from her by exiling. so yeah, homegirl has every right to be sad.

to close, i think people with this perspective of QON have the same view of Jude as Cardan once did, and it comes from a place of well-intentioned misunderstanding. he thought she could not break. so did the anti-QON crowd.

they were wrong.

Question 20!

20. Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?)

Oh man I already answered this for ACCPOV which is the one I actively did that stuff with lol.  Have some behind the scenes stuff about No Prison Can Hold?

The whole idea with the fic was there were no bad guys, just people who didn’t believe/understand Din, with every character - especially the military OCs - having their own perceptions.  No one’s “wrong” they’re just looking at it from a certain point of view.  I never wanted Narro villainized by the narrative even though she’s one of Din’s main antagonists - from her perspective, she is a hero saving a lone child from the clutches of a terrible man.  Even though we the audience know better.

Tessal Narro is named after my SWTOR trooper, Tesheyel Narro (who is also an asshole) and Grielle Niam is a shoutout to the companion Nadia Grell, because I was playing Consular a lot when writing.

It was Vitally Important that Luke say “Baby Yoda” at some point in the fic and was a major motivation in writing it.

Otherwise I was just kinda like “Huh, what if the New Republic arrived a little earlier in canon?” and then was like “ooo what if the Skywalker-Solos get involved” and then banged out like the first 3-4 chapters in a weekend and made an outline and just kept going.

Chapters 11-12 were the most difficult to write.  (I’m still not convinced I made the right call on which POVs to use when, but that’s why the bonus chapter exists.)  Chapter 8 is my favorite.

Things I had the most fun with:  Baby Yoda, sweetest bean in the galaxy, hating on Luke Skywalker, the other sweetest bean in the galaxy.  (Even more hilarious now, after the Season 2 finale.)  Din continually being distracted by anything kid-related because he’s not emotionally intelligent enough to just state “I really miss my kid and it’s important to me I be a good dad to him.”  Tolli being my microphone as A Character Who Actually Knows About Child Development.  “This isn’t the Mandalorian you’re looking for” and any other I C Wat U Did Thar moments.  And of course, the Baby Yoda Commentary at the end of each chapter.

If you have any familiarity with the Thrawn Trilogy it’s obvious that that’s where I got Han, Leia, and Luke’s characterizations as they evolved after RotJ and I also used “snap-hiss” to describe Luke’s lightsaber igniting as a direct homage to how Timothy Zahn writes it, because I love how he brings the world of Star Wars to life through the written word.  I tend to think of/envision stories very cinematically so “translating” it into writing is hard sometimes.

Jeremiah 22:1-23:20, 2 Thessalonians 1:1-12, Psalms 83:1-18, Proverbs 25:11-14

Today is the 13th day of October, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I'm Brian it’s great to be here with you for another day has we step into the Scriptures and out of whatever else is going on and just, come into the oasis that we create for ourselves that we call the Global Campfire. We just, yeah, come in and let God speak and it's amazing what He does in transforming the way we’re looking at the day and the circumstances that are facing us and re-orients us to His…His guidance and His love and compassion and leadership in our lives. So, let's dive in. We’re reading from the New International Version this week. Jeremiah chapter 22 verse 1 through 23 verse 20.

Introduction to second Thessalonians:

Okay. So, yesterday we concluded First Thessalonians, Paul's letter…first letter to the church in Thessalonica, also strongly believed by scholars to be the earliest Christian document in existence and the earliest of Paul's letters. But now we’ve turned the page and here we are at the threshold of another letter and this one is also to the church in Thessalonica called Second Thessalonians. And we can remember from the letter but also from talking about First Thessalonians that this is a church that was formed quickly and was continually pressed in upon by persecution and marginalization. And really the church was never like, was never not shoved to the side, was never not persecuted. So, these people are like early believers in Jesus young in their faith facing persecution, which brings up eventually a lot of questions like, does this ever get easier? Like, what's going on here? You said that Jesus was coming back. What do we do? And, so, Paul writes this second letter to the church in Thessalonica. And this is one of the letters that would be considered more…more disputed as far as did Paul write this or did someone write this in Paul's name. There’s some theological nuances that are more developed. There's just little things that get looked. But we could say many scholars also would say, no, Paul wrote this. Even the earliest church fathers quoted from second Thessalonians. So, likely if this is written by Paul it…it came…it came pretty quickly after the first letter. He is clarifying things that he wrote about before and broadening them and he's like correcting specific assumptions. Basically you have to know…I mean we’ve talked about this before, but these early letters that are being passed around at the churches are coming from the perspective that Jesus return, like this is an eminent, very, very, like immediate…there's no time to do anything else but focus upon this, that Jesus is coming back. That’s the kind of context that they’re in. So, in Thessalonica because the people are being marginalized and persecuted there are some that are like, “well, I'm quitin’ my job. Like…like Jesus is already on the white horse. He just hasn't got to earth yet. Like this is happening now and things are just heating up all around us. So, this is an imminent thing. We don't have time to think about getting married and stuff. So, I don't really have time to think about working either because it’s only like…it’s only bringing me persecution and…and hardship and trouble. So, I’m not gonna…I’m not gonna work. I’m just goona wait for Jesus.” And we’ve seen…I mean…that’s…this isn’t the only time this has ever happened. This kind of stuff has actually happened in our own lifetimes where people believe the return of Christ is imminent. It's…you know…everything has lined up and here we go. And, so, people quit their jobs, take extravagant vacations, sell their houses, do all kinds of stuff, wait for the day and then the day…the day comes and…and then they gotta figure it out and start over again. Paul's kind of addressing this because as people were waiting, they were just idle, and idleness usually doesn't lead to positivity. Like it usually leads to like meddling and getting in other people's business and having opinions that you don’t have any right to have and having running commentary on topics that have nothing to do with you. And, so, this is kinda getting in. And, so, Paul ends up telling the church family there that, “you know, if you’re not gonna work then just, you know, you’re not gonna just leech off everybody else who does. Like, you gotta…you gotta work if you…if you want to eat.” And there are other things that Paul wants to address. And it's not just like a corrective letter, like, “let me set the record straight on some of these things.” These people, this church happened so quickly and under such pressure, that they hold a special place in Paul's heart. And you can imagine that people who are waiting for Jesus and being faithful and loyal to the cause of Christ and to the message of the gospel but who are just getting pummeled by society, they need a voice of encouragement like continually because they’re…they’re under fire continually. And Paul's tells them, “I see you”, basically, “your endurance, you're not doing this is under a cover. Like, I see you. This isn’t being overlooked. Everybody sees this. Everybody sees what you're doing, that you're being faithful. And as you are faithful and endure, you’re being made worthy of the kingdom of God. And in the end, although you are experiencing injustice in the end, justice will prevail. And, so, we begin. Second Thessalonians chapter 1.

Prayer:

Father, we thank You for Your word. We thank You for another day. This is a continual prayer. We’re always grateful for another day but we are grateful for the way that Your word comes into our lives and it becomes a part of the fabric of the days that we live and Your Holy Spirit brings to mind things when we need them. Sometimes we don't heed those things and then we have Your word to kind of show us where those pathways lead. And it’s not surprising. Yet, we have Your comfort that You always come for us wherever we are, that wisdom is always there leading us the way back. We are so grateful and as we continue to move forward through the letters of Paul, we ask Your Holy Spirit to ignite in us the joy of our salvation and the understanding of endurance. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus our Savior. Amen.

Hello DAB family this is Carma in Fort Wayne Indiana. On October 6th Joyful Jay in the Everglades called and talked about how hard it is to pick up the heavy hairy phone. I knew the Holy Spirit was indeed talking to me as God has been prompting me to call for quite some time. And yet the enemy has been feeding me lies that my problems are not that big of a deal. Besides I’m blessed with some great friends who faithfully pray for me. So, Satan led me to believe that I don’t need others to pray too. But I am part of this DAB family and have listened every single day since September 2017 after a tragedy in my life. And when one part of the body hurts, we all hurt. So, today I’m asking you to pray for my family and me. For 19 months we have been living in crisis mode. My sister’s family was completely torn apart by infidelity, lies, greed, drugs, and the list goes on. She had a beautiful family by all outward appearances, but it was completely destroyed. Now her four children live in four different places and my mom and I are blessed to have the youngest was 13 years old living with us. I’ve always longed to be a mom myself but it’s quite a challenge to suddenly become the parent of a teenager who has been through so much trauma. I need your prayers family. I feel like I take one step forward and two steps back and it is just so emotionally exhausting. In addition, I recently resigned my job which had become a poor fit for my skills. So, I’m job searching too which is also emotionally taxing. I want my life to exude joy in the midst of so much hard, but I need the Holy Spirit and the faithful prayers of others to do it. I realized that the reason why I have been unwilling to talk and ask for prayer is because I am so proud. I don’t want to admit that I am 62 ½ years old and I’ve never been married, and I don’t have any children, and I want a partner. I want to be married. And the reason I don’t want to admit this, is because all of my history is based on that. Why are you not married? And why don’t you have children? And if I tell why it brings the whole story of where I’ve been and what’s happened and if I stay in the problem, I can’t live this way. If I live in the solution, I can’t live alone because I cannot support my story without a firm foundation in Christ. So, I need help.

Hello, my dear Daily Audio Bible family this is Maria the Missionary in Mexico. I want to give a shout out specifically to Cheryl from Ontario Canada. Thank you so much, what a blessing and an encouragement. I called in with an update about my coworker Barb and you said you were praying for her and for us as well. Well that just couldn’t come at a more timely moment. We are thriving in Jesus. We love Mexico, we love our ministry here. So much to love but I’d be dishonest to say that it’s just been a breeze and that lately we haven’t been having a bit of stress. Of course, Covid has added to it because my husband’s not only a missionary pilot down here, he’s also part of the contingency team which as you can imagine with Covid has a lot more to do. So, he’s very busy in that ministry. And then just because of random and unforeseen circumstances none of our other coworker pilots in all of the country are here at the moment or can fly. They have their medical things going on or medical that their spouse has, and they have to leave or paperwork stuff. So, it’s just kind of interesting and obviously my husband has had tons to do. Also, when he was on a trip, a commercial flight, he picked up what looks to be Covid now because the people that caught it from him on that trip, they tested positive Covid. He thankfully is getting over that fine. Our kids all started getting sick and they seem to be fine. I can feel some stuff in my lungs happening. So, I really appreciate your prayers. Barb our coworker, her tumor in behind her ear, in her air canal is too large for the Gamma knife so we’re just praying that God directs her to the right surgeon. Anyway, thank you all. And, so, the court the court date is set for November 4th. God, we ask that You would manifest Your will in this situation. Satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy but God, Jesus came that we might have life. And I pray that Dimitri and his wife would experience that life being given back to this marriage in the name of Jesus. Will You cause life to be revived through this marriage? Touch that wife’s heart and mind. You know where she is and what’s standing in the way. I plead Your precious blood over…over Dimitri and I pray God that You would turn this marriage around to the glory of Your great name. In Jesus’ name. And then remember Candace from Oregon’s sons, specifically Micah who’s going through a difficult time. Lord I pray that You would save all of the…the boys God but specifically do a work and Micha’s heart. I pray that You would comfort Candace’s heart and let her know that You are at work concerning her sons in the name of Jesus. We thank You and we praise You for the restoration, for the healing, for the deliverance and the breakthrough coming to Candace’s home and boys in Jesus’ name.

Hi there DAB family this is Sean Sean of the mountains calling in from Fayetteville Arkansas and I’m calling in response to Sonia from Austin Texas who called or I at least heard her on October 9th and she was talking about her father who had committed suicide and I just want to pray for her and for others who may have been dealing with the suicide of a family member. My brother, my only sibling took his life four years ago and it was just really a shock and really devastating and I mean I and my family members have walked through that in these past four years and we’re coming to some good places and the Lord has met us very sweetly. So, I’d like to pray. Dear Jesus we are so grateful and thank You that You have walked through suffering, that You are acquainted with deepest grief, that You…You put our tears in a bottle and You bring new life to us, You bring what’s needed. I pray for those who are walking through this, who may be walking through this thing recently. Lord would You just meet them in their deepest need. Help them to grieve well and to be able to remember their loved ones in good ways and not just the suicide. And we put all these things in Your hands in Jesus’ name. Amen.

This is acutally the question, that we have been asked most. Why, what is behind Travelita, how did this idea come into life? (video: Facebook live, March 2019)

Ok, this is the story of Tina, the Founder of Travelita. In winter 2019, she was on a holiday break in India, to be exact, in Jaisalmer, the Thar desert. There were some happenings, and she ended up being there alone, but as having been traveling on her own almost for 20 years, she did not worry at all. She booked an overnight in the desert and ended up unintentionally having an indian man in her bed, whom she talked out of doing what he wanted to do and thankfully she succeded. This is how Travelita was born. Tina thought by herself: „If I could do something to prevent this to happen to any other woman in this world“, and that is the foundation of Travelita. Connecting women, so this would never happen to anyone, anywhere ever again.

But that is not all, just a few weeks later, Tina found herself on a trip to Amsterdam, where she was attending a seminar. She heard that it would be a great location to dance her favorite dance – Kizomba – but ended up not finding even one spot where they would do so. So she thought: “Travelita does not necessarily need to be only for safety, it can also be for fun. If I would know a local woman from Amsterdam, that loves Kizomba the way I do, she would definitely be able to recommend me a place to go, as she has all the connections.”

So here we are with Travelita: we want to connect women to make travel fun, free, safe and make all traveling women to feel at home, wherever you are. Never need to worry again that you will not find what you want, whereever you might go, unless it definitely does not exist. But here, the future perspective kicks in...

How to

This is very simple. In order to create a safe platform, we need to have an obligational ID check before we can unlock your profile. We need to make sure you exist and you are a woman indeed, as this network is for women only. So please understand that in order to be a Travelita, this is not negotiable.

But don’t be afraid, we will not give your data to anyone else. Our ID check will be done confidentially by a workstuff member of Travelita, it will be a manual check and not by computers, so it’s not hackable. Women who check your personal details are cleared by police records and will not harm any data regulations. As this is one of our main occupations – that you can feel safe.

From there it will be an easy ride. You will receive your personal profile and complete the information as detailed as possible. Information about target destination will not be provided by Travelita, but by you, the locals. You can share about your city/country whatever you feel like sharing, anything you feel  would be of interest. Be detailed. People who come to see did not live there, they might want to know more and do not think it is boring.

Day Thirty - Six - June 26th, 2021

I haven’t written in a while. A lot has happened but it honestly all feels like its not worth talking about. My support group makes me feel so good. Always lifting me up. I do still feel like I have people in my life that expect me to do things for them and I feel like I shouldn’t do shit for them but it’s not in my heart to not do the shit they expect me to do if that makes sense. I can’t wait to be out on my own and it’s gonna happen. I have a partner who sees my life for what it is and doesn’t judge. I’ve been played many times. Hurt many times. Keeps me weary but i can’t wait to allow him deeper into my heart. I think about all my other birthdays. Who i had in my life back then. What i used to do. The thoughts i used to have. Just all the pain i kept in. Feels good to finally let that healing take place. Having someone who is so in sync with me helps the journey even more for me. I never thought I’d find a love so pure and genuine. I get words of affirmation without asking. I get spoiled without asking. I get affection without asking. I get love. I feel that love. Sometimes l have bad days. Even on my bad days when he’s busy he takes time out just for me. I never imagined myself having a boyfriend or even meeting someone’s family. I just never felt worth that step. I’m starting to see that I deserve the world. I deserve all the good. I even deserve some of the bad because the bad makes me stronger. I never thought I was strong before. Just thought I was weak because all I ever did was cry but making out of each depressive episode is a lot. I’m proud of myself for not actually harming myself again or actually killing myself. I see the beauty in life most days, others I don’t quite see it but I’m learning that’s okay. It’s okay to be unhappy and hurt sometimes. It’s okay to not want to smile. It’s okay to cry. None of that shit takes away from who you are as a person. I feel like I just wasn’t meant to be in a lot of people’s lives. Hurt people hurt. I’ve had people throw things in my face that I’ve vented to them about because they were hurt. I noticed and just brushed it off because i knew. No one should ever do that but they do. One moment sticks out the most when I think about it. My mom had told me she felt I had her running a brothel because she felt i had too many guy friends. I had only had my ex, my one guy friend and my current boyfriend over. I had vented to my guy friend and he threw that in my face. My mom is a very strict caribbean parent even with me being 23. So having people over is a no, unless she knows them. That shit stung because i debated even telling anyone. I still have love for him. That’ll never change. I learned that every person you lose is with reason. I treat every person lost as a lesson in life. I try not to think about it too long but if a person leaves your life with hurt, it’s the worst feeling. Especially when you’ve been friends for years. Like my ex best friend, I see our pictures and I miss that but without me shes doing way better. Thats how life works. Not everyone sticks around forever. I live in a world where to people who don’t look like me sometimes I don’t matter. I remember friday. I had gotten my whole paycheck stolen and I remember feeling pain. Just being wholeheartedly and genuinely sad. I was crying in my office and all anyone ever did was close their closet doors to ignore my emotions. I’m one of two black people in an entirely white office. I was actually the only one for a couple weeks. I felt at first like they were hesitant. You know but my work speaks for me. I just know not to actively speak of my emotions or show them again in that environment. I kinda should’ve expected it but they were all so welcoming at first. Living in this new place with people who don’t look like me is scary. I never wanted to raise my kids in an environment where they would have to fear being themselves. Loving who they are but it will be my role as a parent to let them know that they are beautiful inside out. I can’t wait to be a mother. Most days i just zone out and I think so deeply about it. I was made to be a mother. I was made to break the generational curse. A mother is necessary. I know from my trauma thar not having a loving parent fucks you up. It makes you feel alone. Unloved. Hurt. You just crave love. I reached the point where I craved it and just shunned it when I got it because it was so unfamiliar that I didn’t even know how to handle it. Love is so necessary. I want my kids to feel support. Never forced. I want them to have all the freedom I never had. Yes, being sheltered made me who i am but being sheltered still at the age of 23 sucks. My goal is to move out by the end of August and I’m longing for it. I’m going to be so mfn happy. I’m walking around naked. Allat. No rules. No nothing. Just happiness. Having bills isn’t even gonna be much of a stress for me cause by then I plan to be debt free. That feeling of no debt is going to be so good for me. It’s one of the reasons I feel like shit and often what leads me to want to just end it. I take accountability for my harsh spending. It’s definitely a coping mechanism for me. I haven’t done it in a while and I’m proud of myself for fighting those urges when I do have money. All of this writing doesn’t necessarily bring me relief but it allows me to put a lot into perspective. I have tons of thoughts. I don’t overthink too much lately. I try my best to go with the flow of life. If bad comes I face it. If good comes I embrace it. Just going through this transition. I feel it’ll all be worth it. I don’t think I have much else to write. So bye.

I think its because they look at the world at face value instead of having a history that gives them a preconceived idea of every action done towards them... I try to live like that sometimes yknow. Just assuming everyone means well, because though some people mean to be awful, that number is very few. And I think we're all faking it a little when we act like we've got our shiz together. So like we honestly might as well just throw the anxiety to the wind and be like "Ok so so what it this goes wrong.? What's the worst thar can happen?? And what's the best?? And how long would the worst case scenario honestly affect me for?? 2 days?? Ok so what's the harm???" It's so freeing to remember that all life is, is a series of experiences and its ok if we don't do them all perfectly as long as we still do them... idk if any of this makes sense, but I jusr got home from work and my brain is mush. Yess I know what you mean, yes kids and animals are so refreshing to hang out with because there is no overthinking or overanalysing or being caught up in the past or future, they are just happy with the little things in the moment and yes that is definitely a good way to live life!

Ah yes the good ol' fake it til you make it. Yes honestly my life improved immeasurably when I was able to grow up and gain enough experience and perspective to be like, is this gonna matter to me in a year? A month? Hell, even a week? No? Then why do I give a fuck? Yeah I think the key is to stay on the optimistic side of nihilism and be like okay so there is no goal or mission or design for me to fulfill which means I am not making mistakes or being behind schedule or whatever I am merely existing, and even by fucking up or doing things 'wrong' I am still making more progress and gaining experience and therefore this is still a worthwhile experience...I mean my uni advisor has spent hours drilling into me that failed experiments are still learning experiences and you often learn more from failures than you do from things that go perfectly well.

The lake is shrouded in mystery because up until today, no one has ever been able to determine its depth and it is believed that anyone who dares to swim in it drowns almost immediately. Attabad Lake

Attabad Lake is a glorious and pristine body of water located in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by the mountainous terrain of the Hunza Valley region. It is as still as an ancient tree and the blue of the water puts the sky to shame. Its creation is wrapped in tragedy and loss as it is the result of a landslide that drowned an entire village by the name of Gojal Village. However, although people feel sombre for this loss of life, the creation of this divine body of water inspires them with the utmost reverence and awe.

Princess Of Hope

Along the Makran Coast Highway, there is a dazzling sculpture carved out of natural rock and mud that has been marvellously sculpted out of the skilled hands of nature itself. Due to the strong winds emanating from the Arabian Sea in the Balochistan region, this masterpiece stands as tall and proud as a princess of a great kingdom. The name ‘Princess of Hope’ was given to this magnificent natural sculpture by Angelina Jolie on her visit to Pakistan.

Shah Allah Ditta Caves

These glorious caves of antiquity are located in an area called D12 in the capital city of Islamabad. These caves will transport you back to the golden age of the Buddha as they have been archaeologically defined as belonging to an era that goes back at least two thousand years. The trees have roots that stretch hundreds of feet into the ground and some of the trees are so old that extravagant bundles of roots hanging from the branches themselves. Walking through these ancient caves and standing under these ancient trees evokes a strange nostalgia for the world of antiquity and a feeling of utter connectivity with bygone eras.

Pakistan is famous for its monumental glaciers made purely out of ice located at the core of some of the most extreme mountain ranges in the country These white castles of nature are inspiring as well as extremely difficult to reach even though the magnificent view is worth every hardship you may encounter to get there. The Baltoro Glacier is located in the Karakorum Range at an elevation of 13,895 feet and is 63 kilometres long, making it the second-longest non-polar glacier in the entire world. Trekking through it is like experiencing an ice age – you’ll be completely overwhelmed by every aspect of the glacier on a physical, mental and emotional level.

The Thar Desert is said to be the heart of Pakistan, due to the rich cultural heritage that is possessed in the form of folk songs, art, rituals and traditions, making it the country’s cultural treasury. Due to its large size that covers about 77,000 square miles, it is located partly in the province of Punjab and Sindh and stretches out to northwestern India. It is a desert of unparalleled beauty. Neelum Valley is located in Azad Kashmir and being there is like jumping into a bright coloured painting with a marvel waiting at every corner. It contains a mind-altering beauty as it is a valley interspersed with natural wonders every few kilometres. Neelum Valley is filled with lush green hills, dense forests, glorious waterfalls and freshwater streams that glisten under the sun.
